Alicia Minshew Set For One Episode Return To All My Children! Will More Follow?

All My Children fan favorite, Alicia Minshew (Kendall) is making her way back to Pine Valley! But, the news is that at this point in time she is only set for one episode in Prospect Park’s reboot of the series!
TV Line revealed, “Minshew is at this time set for just a one-episode cameo as Kendall, taping this week — though the actress remains in talks to return in a short- or long-term capacity. ”
In addition, TV Line’s reliable insider also related that “Minshew is shooting scenes with, at the very least, her TV sis Eden Riegel (Bianca).” Could Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) also be part of this scenario for her one guest shot appearance that has been bantied about?
So soapers, do you hope Alicia gets at least a few scenes with Thorsten Kaye (Zach)? Are you hoping she will come back for a longer run? Let us know your thoughts!
I am having a hard time seeing a Pine Valley without Kendall. Hope she signs on for more.
Pine Valley has been without Kendall since Sarah Michelle Gellar left in 1995. Alicia Minshew (yawwwwwwn) was such a bore fest.

I can take it or leave it…..I wouldn’t mind a recast in this role. I mean, she didn’t originate the role, and I got used to her.

Some have moved on with their careers and have obligations to honor and can not just jump back to AMC and some may not want to return.
Anyways, they/the cast of AMC seem to be making the effort and time to help launch AMC, and that is a very nice thing to do..

Im thrilled one of my favorites Alicia Minshew is making a cameo. I hope that her neck pops in AMC permanently soon as possible.
I think Alicia is fine as Kendall, but if she’s not available for more than a cameo, I would not object to a recast if they really feel the need to keep Kendall. Let’s keep in mind that right now, there is no Greenlee, there is no Ryan and we haven’t heard talk of recasting those roles and there is no Erica, so whom would Kendall be interacting with besides Zach and her younger sister Bianca? I realize the story can go in many directions, but isn’t it fair to say that the majority of Kendall’s scenes were with Ryan, Greenlee, her now departed brother Josh Madden, her mom Erica Kane, and, from time to time, J.R. Chandler –
What about the character of Krystal Carey? She was involved in different ways with Tad Martin (not coming back that we know of, well not yet anyway) and she is
the mom of Marissa, I don’t know if that character is returning.
I’m sorry…..what show was this again….anyway, I can’t speak for others but if I were a writing a storyline that needed a Kendall I would love to see Alicia reprise her role but if she’s not available I think there are plenty of Pretty brunette actresses who would jump at a chance to play Erica Kane’s pain in the neck older daughter.
Sorry to disagree, Kendall was one of the central character in the show. She’s interacted with lots of characters. She’s been in Griffin, Carla, David obit before the show got cancelled…and dont forget Bianca, Miranda and Bianca still in the show where she interacted heavily.
Yes Cystal I understand what you are saying. It was unfortunate that by the time PP came up with a deal, so many actors were not immediately available. It’s nice that they are willing to negotiate with Alicia’s reps, let’s face it that’s what alot of this comes down to. I completely understand that Alicia has a following, and I like her in the role of Kendall since she took it over, but I would accept a recast if it were absolutely necessary – now, mind you, that’s just my overview of it, I understand others feel differently.
You can’t say that like they are never going to be on the show A LOT of these actors have been and are in talks with PP, Some can’t come back due to obligations but want to come back after their obligations are over. If there was no way that Kendall/AM and Erica/SL could ever come back and reprise their roles they could easily have written them out without them being seen on screen, I think them being on Screen at least once is for a reason….I just hope they don’t give Zack a Love interest….There is only one Zendall!!
I hope all this turns out well, I hope that AMC and OLTL make it big time on the net, This means so much to me, I have missed the soaps so much, ABC afternoon will never be the same to me, I refuse to watch anything on that network except GH, I will never return unless the soaps are back on ABC where they belong and never should have been removed, I hope that my heart doesn’t get broken again if the soaps should fail on the net, There are a lot of older people who don’t have a computer and will miss seeing the soaps make a comeback, I really wish they were coming back to TV, Anyway Welcome back AMC and OLTL I will be watching and supporting my soaps, I hope I get to see them for many, many years.
I wish she will sign up specially if they could not get the real Diva Erica Kane. She’s the only one who can fill the shoe of her mother .
Alicia is slated to Co star in a Up coming Film called Here and Now. I bet that is why she is not coming back yet except for that One Episode. I’d be willing to bet that she comes back after she is done with her movie…..
This is great news. I hope Alicia will come back for a longer stay. I love Kendall and I love Zach and Kendall, and I think AMC needs her and the Slaters back on the show.

Would LOVE to see her back permanently — although I only liked her with Zack — and I only liked Zack with Kendall! Before they got together, I didn’t like either of them!! She’s got to come back AND get back together with Zack!!
she’s kinda like amc’s kkl. Not a great actress but has front and center storylines. The real casting coup though belongs to annie elonzeh. Wasn’t she formerly on gh? She was on the failed charlie’s angels reboot w/ minkankles kelly who is the gf of chris evans from that racist capt. america movie. This modern retelling of hatfield and mccoys has cast elonzeh as the leading lady. She’s the adopted daughter of the rich family battling the blue collar family. And of course she falls for the leading man from the blue collar family. Soaps love their core families battling bec of economic status. You’d think soaps would have more families battling bec of racial differences given that there must be conflict. But hollywood doesn’t wanna go there bec the only racial storylines hollywood prefers are “white savior” storylines where the white chars help the black chars who are often portrayed by hollywood as coming from lower economic status compared to the white chars. Of course the rich family and poor family have to both be white bec hollywood would be uncomfortable making the rich family be racial minorities. Thus elonzeh’s char is adopted. There really should be more adopted racial minority chars on soap operas. That’s the only way to have more racial diversity bec hollywood only writes white families as the core families on majority of their soaps. Chars of color on soaps tend to be tokens if they are not part of the white core families. That’s tolerance for tolerant hollywood.

and NBC really don’t care what the public wants in programing. They all put on a new program, and before we know it is canceled.

Without the original cast members it won’t even be like All My Children…just a new soap, new faces…not sure about it yet. All My Children was my favorite of all soaps but I need to see the old faces…
PLEASE bring Kendall back. In my opinion her role as Erica’s daughter was one of the best. The return of the series is just not complete without Erica and Kendall!

miss Alicia Minchew, hope she comes back soon. Also I am very unhappy that All My Children will be on only on Monday and Wednesday. Way too short. I never saw One life to live so only seeing AMC two days a week is not enough. Fans are so happy to have these shows back again even though only on the internet for free.
Thanks for at least having two days but please try to go back to four days. We the fans from the beginning really love your show. The very best to you and your actors and actresses as well as your backstage crew, writers, etc. GOOD LUCK!!!

Got to have alicia and susan yes thank goodness that jesse and angie have held down the fort they are a power couple and their strength as actors is the only thing that makes me tune in to amc. Thanks to OWN amc can live on be brave pushing the boundaries .Iwas going to beg Oprah to make up for her horrible reunion goodbye for amc.She missed the boat on that intervjew. It is Alicia and Susan and Debbie Morgan, Jesse( forgot real name right now ). One of the most memorable moments of acting by anyone film or television was ALICIA’S visit to the sight of Zack’s plane crash. She gave a performance matching talent of all of the great actors. It brought me to tears and stays with me as one of the greatest actresses of our time.Oprah give them a full hour. The only reason I subscribe to OWN is because of AMC

Susan Lucci Joins the Cast of Jonah Hill’s Movie ‘Outcome’
Look who will be part of the ensemble cast in motion picture and film star Jonah Hill’s new film project! That’s right, none other than Susan Lucci (ex-Erica, All My Children).
According to Deadline, the daytime television icon joins other notables including Laverne Cox and David Spade who have been added to the cast of Outcome. The film stars Keanu Reeves, Matt Bomer (ex-Ben, Guiding Light) and Cameron Diaz.
In Outcome, which is written by, and will be directed by Hill, the dark comedy centers around Reef (played by Reeves), a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past.

Soap fans know that following her iconic run as All My Children’s Erica Kane, Susan went on to be featured in Lifetime’s Devious Maids in the role of Genevieve Delatour. Since her Pine Valley days ended (when AMC was canceled in 2012), Susan has appeared in numerous shows and made numerous appearances. n December of 2023, Lucci was awarded the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Outcome will debut on Apple and is an Apple Studios production. The film marks the latest collaboration for Hill and Apple Original Films, who are also developing a Grateful Dead biopic with Martin Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions, to be directed by Scorsese, with Hill starring in it and as one of the producers of the project, as well.

Jacob Young Shares Production Pic of Cast of His New Film Featuring Joan Collins and Nadia Bjorlin
Last month, during a livestream conversation on the Michael Fairman Channel, while promoting Jason Cook’s film, Four for Fun, and featuring soap notables Jacob Young (ex-AJ, AMC, ex-Lucky, GH, ex-Rick, B&B) and Brytni Sarpy (Y&R), Young revealed some intel on his upcoming movie project.
Jacob shared that he was set to direct, produce and star in a Agatha Christie-like murder mystery feature film, Murder Between Friends shooting in Prague.
The actor/director expressed, “I’m flying at the end of the March to Prague to direct, produce and star in a film with Joan Collins (ex-Dynasty). Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe, Days of our Lives) is in it, and Toby Alexander Smith from Eastenders (ex-Gray Atkins). Plus, a couple of my Broadway friends and a very well known Czech actress (Hana Vagnerova). It’s very ‘Knives Out’ without having a hundred million dollars to shoot it, but still will be a lovely film nonetheless.”

Young is currently shooting the film’s principal photography abroad through April 17th.
Over the weekend, Jacob took to his Instagram to share a photo with the cast of the film where pictured is former Dynasty star, Joan Collins (ex-Alexis) and former Days of our Lives star, Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe). In addition, former All My Children star, Trent Garrett (ex-Asher) is seen in director-mode kneeling.
Trent and Jacob are both co-directors of Murder Between Friends. Joan Collins shared the pic on her Instagram citing, “This was the #secret I posted about several weeks ago!”

Barbara Rush, ‘All My Children’ and ‘Peyton Place’ Actress, Dies at 97
Veteran Hollywood actress Barbara Rush, known to soap opera fans for her recurring roles on All My Children as Nola Orsini, and on Peyton Place where she played Marsha Russell, died at 97 on Sunday, March 31st.
Her passing was confirmed by Rush’s daughter, Fox News Channel senior correspondent Claudia Cowan. In a statement, Claudia shared, “My wonderful mother passed away peacefully at 5:28 this evening. I was with her this morning and know she was waiting for me to return home safely to transition. It’s fitting she chose to leave on Easter as it was one of her favorite holidays and now, of course, Easter will have a deeper significance for me and my family.”
Barbara had an extensive career in films and television that included roles in: It Came From Outer Space, The Goldbergs, 7th Heaven, The Young Philadelphians, Robin and the 7 Hoods, The Young Lions, Batman (TV series ), The Bionic Woman, Fantasy Island, Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote and so many others.

From 1968 to 1969, she starred in 75 episodes on Peyton Place. In 1980, Rush also appeared in NBC’s primetime soap opera, Flamingo Road taking on the role of Eudora Weldon, who’s adoptive daughter was played by Morgan Fairchild.
Then, in 1992, she was cast as All My Children’s Nola Orsini. In the storyline, Tad (Michael E. Knight) had amnesia and washed ashore from a river and wides up in California. He gets a job at Orsini Vineyards, where the owner, Nola Orsini (Rush), says that he is the spitting image of her missing son, Ted Orsini, who was kidnapped as a child, and insists Tad is him. She takes him in, trains him to run the vineyards, and makes him her heir, completely convinced he is her lost son, and the story unspooled from there.
Rush is survived by her two children the aforementioned Claudia Cowan, and Christopher Hunter.
