While reports continue that may celebrities have turned down invites to appear at the presidential inauguration for Donald Trump Friday, as well as other groups  set to boycott the event, one celeb that is on their way to participate in the affair is longtime soap star, Antonio Sabato Jr, (Ex-Jagger, GH, Dante, B&B).

As daytime fans know, Sabato Jr. has been an avid suppoter of Trump, and endorsed him through the primaries and spoke at the Republic National Convention, along with another former soap star, Kimberlin Brown (Ex-Sheila, B&B and Y&R).

Now, Antonio took to his Twitter account to share that he is participating in the Inauguation and will be present.  First expressing he in route to Washington DC: “On our way , can’t wait to support our military our country our next President @realDonaldTrump”

In addition, the actor announced that he will indeed be part of inauguration night appearing at The Great American Inauration Ball. Antonio shared: “Excited to be part of @GrtAmericanBall – Fri Jan 20 (Inaugural Nite – honoring US Military & Charities) @MGMNatHarbor

So, what are your thoughts on Antonio appearing at, and supporting Donald Trump, during the president-elects big day on Friday?  Share your thoughts below.

Have fun.

Oh well to each their own, when it comes to Trump, but it goes to show.

I could puke over that filthy piece of crap living in the prestige white house, and his wife doesn’t want to leave NY and her Golden Tower to live in the lowly white house in Washington DC LOL .
His little son doesn’t want to leave his own floor, yes he has a floor of his own in the tower, to go to the white house. LOL .
Crazy stuff ..

Yep. There’s NOTHING a soap could write that would match the criminal//horror show that’s about to unfold…

Rebecca…OH, I AGREE!!! And it’s only gonna get WORSE!!! God Help Us All……….

Yes, indeed. I don’t even think Ray Bradbury, HP Lovecraft and Stephen King could have come up with this script!

Agreed!

Hey SuzieQ,
The prestigious White House has house many a lecherous President through the centuries. And, Mr Trump’s wife will remain in NYC so that her young son can finish the school year. Just as the Obamas will remain in DC for the exact same reason.
As far as music of the 60’s….the music today would have had a different face had it not been for the 60’s music revolution, sex revolution and the feminist movement. All part of history.
Tony Orlando is not a has been….he has dedicated his life and music to US Veterans, dating back to the ’70’s with his ( and Dawn) song, “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree”.
The symbol of the yellow ribbon started during the Civil War when the women wore a yellow ribbon in their hair awaiting the return of their men from service.
Do not get sick over it and puke, su. Sorry you feel this way. I truly am fond of you, my friend. I hold no resentment. And, I hope you feel the same way about me. We can all live in harmony; even with different points of view. “Put a little love in your heart”….
Every American has the right to run for President, su; whether we loathe him/her, or not. And, life goes on. We need to look forward and hope for the best, as Americans.
Stay calm. Be happy.

Hello, su000….I’m just wondering, would you be happier if the Trumps kept Barron in a room the size of a broom closet, made him live in a cardboard box or perhaps his father (aka, “The President”) could just stash him under his desk in the Oval Office, ala “John-John???” Would that make your life better??? Honestly, class envy is so unattractive! This lovely boy is the first young male since the aforementioned JFK Jr. to be part of a First Family….can we not just appreciate the historical aspect of his existence and let him be as he adjusts–at his own pace–to this much more public exposure he is now experiencing? Regardless of his wealth and privileged lifestyle that you have so mockingly referenced, he is still a ten-year old child whose deserves some space to just be a kid.

Antonio, you have my love and respect brother! You will probably never work in Hollywood again but at least you had the red, white and blue balls to stand up for what YOU believe in! God bless you and lets make America Great Again on January 20th 2017.

America is already great.

And Antonio hasn’t worked (other than his home remodeling show) for years. But he’ll continue to say he was blacklisted…lol…

Who knows? Maybe if he keeps repeating his lies (about being blacklisted) like Trump does, the “supporters” will believe him and “demand” that someone hire him. Maybe that’s Sabato’s plan to FINALLY get some work.

Yes but soon it will even be greater, my friend!

America is already great!! And the “again” part worries me because it suggests a desire to go back to the days of Jim Crow.
And judging by his cabinet picks, it looks like America will become greater for white billionaires while the environment, public schools, first amendment rights and social causes will be hurt.
But let’s not despair. Participate in those marches, write and call your local congressman–stay involved and use your voice! Just do not acclimate to this insanity and do not accept this as the new normal. This is not normal

No it’s not, Addie…It’s the furthest thing from…It’s surreal. Truly. Why do good soaps get cancelled and the one that’s about to unfold have a four-year-run. “Even with bad approval and low “ratings.” Sigh. Let’s hope for early cancellaton on this reality show.

Amen, Timmm! Welcome to the “Great American Renaissance!!!” We came so perilously close to forever losing the heart, soul and character of this country, so to witness Donald J.Trump taking the oath of office as our 45th President is beyond special and inspiring…it’s faith-restoring! I’ve never been more proud and touched to hear Lee Greenwood’s live rendition of his signature anthem than at yesterday’s inaugural event…God Bless The USA!!!!!!

I couldnt have said it any better Shay. A virtual hug to you and all true Americans! I cannot wipe the smile off my face, my chest is sticking straight out and I am shedding red, white and blue tears of joy!

I don’t want to fight with anyone. I really don’t. But all I can hear ricocheting in my head are the lines from John Keats’ “Ode to a Nightingale.”
In other words, “My heart aches and a drowsy numbness pains my sense as though of hemlock I had drunk.”
I did not watch the inauguration today but instead, had TCM blasting on my channel. “Breakfast at Tiffanys” was playing. While tending to chores around the house, I heard Audrey Hepburn sweetly singing,”Moon River” and I broke down in tears. This song sort of captured the emotional tone of this day.
As an unprofessional historian, I can tell you that character is destiny. The Greeks believed this to be true.
If anyone thinks that Donald Trump is suddenly going to undergo a huge character transformation at age seventy because he is suddenly our president then, well, I have some swamp land in Florida I’d like to sell them. No, he’s not going to suddenly grow up and develop impulse control issues. Rather, he is going to become even worse while drunk with power. Within minutes of his swearing in, the presidential climate control website was deleted. So, we know what we know about this orange faced, thin skinned, humorless, ignorant, misogynistic, man who cannot exercise restraint to save his life. Moreover, he mocked and imitated a man with physical disabilities. As a parent of a disabled child, that just about killed me and it was a deal breaker. I cannot even go further than that–case closed. And let us not forget that he’s Putin’s puppet. Those of of you who idolized Ronald Reagan must take some kind of umbrage with the fact that our president feels compelled to suck up to our cold enemy number one and ask yourselves why is he doing this?
There is so much to say but suffice to say, Shay and Timm, you both seem like good, smartand thoughtful people and so when this all blows up in your faces, I will not come in here to tell you that I told you so. I will feel too forlorn for that and I will not take pleasure in being right.

THANK YOU SHAY AND TIMMM…..RIGHT WITH YOU…..NOW, FINALLY AGAIN PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, Shay and Timmm,

Were you waiting for me? Hey, my head is not so swelled to even think that, LOL. Well, c’est moi!
I have just returned from DC, this afternoon. My family and I were honored to be in attendance ……it was extraordinary, profoundly humbling. Proud to be an American. Something my son will always remember….he cannot stop talking about ‘the fun’.
No one should be shamed for exercising his/her civil rights. We, Trump supporters did not committ a crime. I would have accepted anyone who won the office of the Presidency.
I am so sick of the caterwauling and wah, wah, wahs. I wonder what goes on behind some of these sanctimonious people’s closed doors. Move on, I say. Everyone is above reproach? ‘Gimme’ a break.
Donald Trump won for a reason. And, it wasn’t the Russians . He campaigned with a vengeance, tiredlessly. Plus, what a beautiful family…..LOL. I think that is another reason…envy.
Speaking of using high morals as an excuse…….no one is pure, we all have imperfections. How soon we forget the very person who bashes President Trump for his offensive words, is the worst potty mouth himself…Alec Baldwin. I seem to remember a recorded phone call he made to his then 12-year old daughter, Ireland. He called her a pig, among other distrurbing words…what a guy! What a father! Celebrities? Please!!!! Morals!!!!! Since when has Hollywood become the disseminatress of law, dignity and righteous indignation?
Today, at least, there was a cause to protest…..I stand behind the women’s cause. It was done peacefully, respectfully, and it meant something. Unlike yesterday’s anarchists….rebels without a cause.
All these people who were moving to other parts of the world…well, they are still here. Hypocrytes.
Making fun of a little boy (Barron) is infantile and shameful. Donald Trump is one of the kindest people, ever. He will go out of his way to help anyone who asks. Middle America does not care about his mouth. The average Joe worries about how he will pay his next food bill, heating bill, insurance bill….the forgotten man.
He is still being flagellated and massacred…..that’s okay. Nothing will deter him from his purpose.

Why is it that so many spew so much venom against Mr. Trump, but Miss Hillary gets a pass? They are both flawed. Bill Clinton supposedly has a child (Danney Williams) with a black woman. It seems that Mrs Clinton put the fear of God in this woman. I really do not want to enumerate all her crimes….however, anyone else would now be serving time. But, golly gee, we are not to speak any word against Hillary. God forbid Mr. Clinton were back in the White House. The hairs on my nape stand on end, at the thought.

Madonna is another one…..she is irrelevant and tries very hard to have a voice. What a symbol of womanly virtue. To incite violence will only meet more violence.
Why can we not leave Donald Trump alone and let him do his job?! It is just beyond my ken how these people cannot come to grips with the fact that Hillary lost. Popularity? Well, considering the thousands and thousands of illegals that were granted naturalization at the eleventh hour….I would have won the popular vote, too.
I will follow your lead, dearest Shay….only visit here when there is a balance. Talk about vitriol!!!
I am tired of not being able to voice my opinions, as everyone else here does, without getting backlash. Live and let live.

I just want to say that I wish us all well, as Americans….we live in the land of plenty, great freedoms and liberty. Let us be proud and show the world we can withstand anything as long as we are one. I love all people…even those who cast stones.
Also, Shay…The First Lady bears a striking resemblance to Sophia Loren…I underestimated her. She is as sharp as a whip….loving mother, but pretty stern, in her soft way ( pardon the oxymoron), LOL. I even read ( I think on one of these sites) that Melania hates her husband and can’t even make eye contact with him. Absurd. They are so loving with each other. Not everyone is demonstrative in public. What else will they say? Let us move on.
Hey guys; did you see me there? I was the gorgeous blonde in red. HaHa and triple LOL.
Bye, my Timmmy; ciao my Shaybelle..

Timmm…I really meant to keep out of this, but…I am another True American who like the popular majority did not vote for this man, and find his rise to power a regression of a sorts the U.S. has never experienced…certainly not a renaissance. Why do you think there is such a visceral reaction to this man, his cabinet/advisor picks, projected policies, etc. And it’s not being a sore loser, believe me. I’m from Woody Hayes/OSU country so I learned about winning, losing and character at a very young age. But the damage this man can inflict between games is beyond scary, and the moral compass he has shown in his campaign comments and actions is reprehensible.

Okay, you didn’t like the last administration, or Hillary, or the Dems. That’s fair. But I find it especially interesting that serversl pro-T supporters on MF are just the ones who can be very critical of certain stories, characters and actors, (or Hillary), and many times claim the moral high ground, have been just the ones to conveniently overlook the many flaws, baggage, non-disclosures, transparency issues in their new “leader” that started with things he said and did during his campaign. There’s a word for that, but I’ll just call it denial.

So good luck with the new guy…as you sow so shall you reap. Just too bad you’re going to take so much good stuff, other True Americans and their kids with you.

Celia last post ever blocking and erasing my e mails accounts ! The women’s march nothing more then a pro murder march abortion is murder!! Theses women are beneath contemot

Contempt

Rose and Harry. It is beyond exasperating to come on here and hear idiocy being spewed. The utter crap about “patriotism” and hearts swelling with pride as this (?) took office is disgusting. The man is a con. Pure and simple. You can read his biography, watch his biography, listen to his jumbled words, read his idiotic, infantile tweets, laugh as he fights with Saturday Night Live, the cast of Hamilton because his widdle feelings are hurt…while he sees nothing wrong with mocking others, calling them ugly, fat, pigs, losers, etc. He’s a hypocrite, an ego-maniac, a narcissist. And the stupidity of the the comments here…”people are jealous of the beauty in has family?” My G-d! Just exemplifies the makeup of many of his voters…which of course would be reason for them to not see Trump’s flaws. This is a hideous time in America’s history. And while it is true that Trump did indeed make history…in a win that consisted of voters from about less that 25% of the country, (if you consider that less than half the country voted and of that less than half he lost by three million), winning with the help of Russia, winning by conning lower-class Americans that he was “on their side” and “hears” them…and by rich people who want their taxes cut and their privilege upped even more. He won because of an electoral college that even he opposes…calling it a “disaster” before he himself won because of it.

He and his cronies don’t believe in science, the environment, wildlife, toxins polluting our air…or healthcare for all. People who screamed “repeal Obamacare” … many of his less financially well-off voters who were on Obamacare didn’t even realize it. They thought they were on the “Affordable Care Act”…which is one and the same. Shame… He is cutting the Endowment for the Arts…which will effect our fantastic programming on PBS as well…He is not a learned man…he is a money man. He is not a mature man, he is an infantile man. He is not a compassionate man, he is an emotionally removed man. He is not a man of insight, he is a man of no sight. He doesn’t hear, he talks. He is beyond power-obsessed. I’ve asked this in a post above but…really??? A “victory tour?” If that didn’t spell narcissist I don’t know what does. Alec Baldwin will have material for years should he hopefully continue to take it on…

I cringe when I hear Trump talk…when I see those ridiculous maestro moves he makes as he pinches his fingers together and moves them up and down as he spews his jumbled thoughts.

There’s a reason there were protests all over the world. ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!!! Ya…I think people were protesting because his family is “pretty”…yep…that’s why the ENTIRE WORLD was protesting. SMH…

I take comfort in knowing that intelligence, wisdom and compassion are on the side of right…that there are so many smart, creative, culturally aware people who see through him. I take comfort knowing many people I personally know….writers, artists, musicians…feel as I do. We commiserate and listen and learn from each other…and can only hope that come next election those who sat out on this one will realize that not taking a stand when it count has repercussions. Unfortunately the majority of the country and much of the civilized world is bracing for what comes next until, hopefully, justice and sanity will prevail again….

oh and…”the average Joe” just got his health care repealed and mortgaging a house just went up about $500…”In one of his very first substantive moves as president, Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday that will result in a hike to many first-time homeowners’ mortgage bills.

I repeat…what a guy….

Rose, lets face it. Michael Fairman put this post up to get peoples juices flowing. I am happy the election went “My Way” but I am not gloating. I sat through the Obama years and waited and waited for good things to happen. I never protested or missed one day of work because I was depressed. The country spoke in 2008 and 2012 and I accepted the results. All I am asking you and others is to give the guy more than a day in office before you write him off. Give him his 100 days and see how he does. I would have done the same with Hillary. I am an American first!

Hey there, CeeCeeGirl….(and Timmm, too!!! Thank you for your “star-spangled” reply! JK, too….)..Reunited and it feels so good…and if not for this joyous occasion, than when, I ask you???? Where to begin, where to begin??? Okay….Yes, I do believe I may have spotted you at the inauguration! Something just told me you were there, and I do recall when the parade of fashionable attendees was pouring in before the cameras, that I noted a particularly attractive young blonde in a smashing red ensemble, and I even thought to myself then, wow, that could actually be CeeCee…no kidding! So, did you make your “grand entrance” before the tv audience…was I right???? I am sure the thrill of being there was beyond description since even watching it amongst the comfort of an ecstatic group of close friends the excitement was quite palpable…Wow, it’s so great that your son accompanied you….it is never too early to experience a living, breathing lesson in civics, let alone one as unforgettable as this! At any rate, you have struck so many of the correct chords, that I needn’t expound much further upon most of them except to say, that I totally concur with your words in defense of Barron…what a lovely, composed young man he was during Friday’s festivities…he did both of his parents proud, and you can tell Melania’s guiding influence has been particularly strong in his upbringing…I love her devotion as being first a mother, then a “First Lady.” And was she ever…not a foot out of step, quite a “feat” in those stilettos! (The powder blue Ralph Lauren design was simply sublime, as were the two fitted black coats and ethereal ivory ballgown….just stunning! And you’re right, “BillyBoy” agreed…not only was he caught leering at Ivanka in photographic proof for all of posterity, but I also noticed him fixating on the First Lady as she turned and walked away from his table at the post-inaugural luncheon….LOL.) As for the ravishing Reem Acra “golden” number??? Could that have been Mrs. Trump’s cheeky, subtle slam at the phony intelligence dossier? (You know she has it in her after the fuchsia Gucci “pussybow” blouse from the debate night….you go, girl!) But I digress…you are so spot on when you call out the oft-repeated, yet highly-questionable, meme of the popular vote tally….it is my hope that the administration will do a forensic examination of it in due course, since I strongly suspect it will undoubtedly reveal plenty of illegal voters of the non-citizen variety…particularly in those large Western states that employ the use of motor-voter laws to swell the electoral rolls with plenty of ineligible individuals…even a few of those more populous regions could easily more than account for the margin of error in that now-hackneyed assertion of victory. As for your comments on what I term the extremely disingenuous “Women’s March?” Well, that is where we must slightly part company, my friend….in truth it should have been referred to as “Only Certain Women’s March,” given that pro-lifers were persona non-grata, Ivanka and Melania Trump most definitely would not have been welcome and the now-familiar trio of Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones and Kathleen Willey was notably absent from the scheduled presentations, despite their having very germane experiences to share. But at least we were treated to those glittering gems of gentility, Madonna and Ashley Judd, with their inflammatory and frankly disgusting rhetoric…Thus just because the femmes didn’t get physically violent like the preceding day’s example of “Misfits Gone Wild,” I’d not quite describe their “gathering of gal pals” as truly peaceable…plus, those “P” hats were a fashion crime against humanity….just saying….MEOW! Anyway, it still has been a wonderful weekend despite the left’s best efforts of moaning and, you know….We finally have our long-awaited “President Donald J. Trump” firmly ensconced in the White House, “Winston” is back where he belongs and the aptly-named Patriots are headed to the Super Bowl! As Ronald Reagan modestly observed regarding his record when ending tenure in the Oval Office, “Not bad!” Later, mia amica!

Shayster and my dearest Celia, I have ONE question, where were all the women with their “P” hats back in 1998 when the Lewinsky scandal hit with our “Beloved” President William Jefferson Clinton? Why were these women not outraged? Why didnt they march against Bill and his outrageous behavior? Why didnt Hillary throw his ass out of the White House? [Well, we kind of know why] I was heartbroken as an American when “Our” President cheated on his wife! He or and married person should NEVER be trusted again!

Timmm…I agree MF has put this post up ” to stir the juices.” I fact I’ve tried to stop commenting on it few times, but blame it on passion, love of country, or, borrowing from Shay, “the heart, soul and character of this country” as I’ve grown up to see it. And I, too, like “Moon River,” but did not “delight” in regarding Trump supporters as she described in her comment. Frustrated, even angry, “Yes.” But not delighted.

But right now I’m more inclined to be like what Harry originally said…”I don’t want to fight anymore.” No one’s winning, or changing minds. I’d rather try to concentrate on the this we can agree on.

Timmm, like you I have also worked through administrations I didn’t vote for. But this one was somehow very different in the tone that was fueled, and other things I don’t want to re-hash. I’ve been in a funk every day during the campaign and since. I was brought up the spoken and written word are very powerful, and a “person’s word is his bond.” if that is so, and this campaign was an “interview” for the job for the top job in America, the way I and many others heard them, and appointees, makes us scared, nervous and unsettled.

I’m in a bit of a nostalgic mood the last few days and re-read my Grandfather’s bio. He immigrated from Italy alone, from at fourteen. After landing Ellis Island and spending 5 days in immigration being checked for health, etc., he progressively worked his way to Ohio. There, he and Grandma, who also immigrated and he eventually married, made a life as a well respected and loved restaurant owners. Plus, great food. Even made it to NBC’s list of best restaurants in the States at one time. One page in the book which takes place in the 20’s describes some of the prejudices we are now seeing surface again…immigration quotas, religion, ethnic, “the other,” etc. In fact in my community at one time council was thinking of building a wall between where the Italians could live, and everyone else. Until a progressive Minister at a local church rallied against it.

I wander, but must add…I recently saw “Gladiator” again. Maybe it was because it was during the end of the campaign and pre-inauguration, but one line that Maximus/Russell Crowe made when dying, and passing on the responsibility for Rome’s future was, “There was a dream that was Rome, it will be realized.” Well America had/has a dream, too. We all know what happened to Rome so lets find some common ground. It will require some compromise, looking at the other sides concerns, and lots of civility, but I’m game.

Well, Timmm….If memory serves, those femmes that were actually alive back in the Bubba Days were too busy partying with him, praising him and promising him “favors” (ala Monica and Madonna…) for passing those pet policies they promoted with passion. In other words, they were so engaged in being his adoring groupies they had neither time nor inclination to find fault with what they considered to be his “charming peccadilloes.” Nope, no “P” hats back then!!!!

Madonna makes my blood boil! If she was playing a free concert in my backyard I would call the police! You can take her, Rosie, Amy Schumer, Ellen, the goof ball Judd and sadly, Scarlett Johansson and dump them on the other side of the WALL.

Do we really want to go down this road again?

so no…

Thanks, Rebecca. The bad feelings on display during the last political discourse here were unfortunate. Let this ex-soap star do whatever he wishes. Other than this current foray, he really isn’t in the public eye anymore and definitely not involved in soaps.

James…as always, A-M-E-N to what you’re saying here!!! As far as I’m concerned, this is one road to AVOID…ALTOGETHER…PERIOD!!! Y-e-p.

Have a good one, Brother.

Thanks, Brother! I believe that discussing daytime drama is admirable in and of itself, without creating drama among the posters by slugging it out politically. Perhaps it’s more admirable to avoid lightning rods…

If you rewrite the headline to read,”Ex Soap Star Honors Ex Reality TV Star” it’s really a lot less controversial.
I don’t mind if folks discuss politics in this case because it’s in keeping with the blog Fairman posted. What I hate is when someone throws in a political dig when the subject at hand as nothing to do with politics.
Yes, sometimes I would like to escape this political horror show!!

I’m sorry, James (hanging my head)… 🙂 I agreed with you and I meant it. That was my first instinct when I saw the headline. “Uh-oh…here we go again…that can of worms…”

But then, lol, I succumbed. Forgiveth me. (With that said…TV’s off tomorrow!!!) 😉

No need to apologize or hang your head, Rebecca, for speaking up for what you believe in. 🙂 (As you know, with me, you are speaking to the choir!) It’s hard not to speak up when you feel so strongly. I’ve been there, too…

But my brief advice (Do we really want to go down this road again?) is not what I followed the first time out. I try to avoid conflict, and I try to not to engage those on the other side. — I make enough enemies here by my comments on the GH Sonny character! 🙂

I have hope that we will get through this… Stay well, my Friend! 🙂

Thanks, James! LOL…I haven’t mastered the art of not engaging yet. My dismay/angst/disbelief is stronger…

Sonny? Compared to Trump (and Carly, lol) he’s up a notch. 🙂

Rebecca, now more than ever we need to speak out. Since posts about Trump are on topic in this regard, I think it’s perfectly fine for you and the other to voice your opinion about our 45th president.
You seem to do so in a temperate and a non insulting way.
It’s hard to remain civil because we have never really had a president who predicated his entire campaign on hate, separatism and ignorance (ie: denial of climate change and man’s contribution to it).
The only time I object to political posts is when the blog Fairman has written or posted is about a soap opera story and/or character. As long as it’s on topic, I think it’s completely fine for everyone, be they Trump supporters or not, to utilize their first amendment rights.

Thanks again, Rebecca. I always enjoy reading your posts! Take care, Friend!

Hi Rhonda…

I agree with you; not only do we have to take a stand for our rights but there’s comfort in solidarity. The only reason James brought it up and I agreed was because last time Sabato was mentioned on this site it caused major arguments (not like we need an excuse…this site can be a hotbed of opposing views when it comes to GH and its “citizens.”) So I guess we felt like it was just reopening a can of worms by mentioning Sabato again. And going round and round again. To no avail. Sigh…

Nice to know we’re on the same wavelength when it comes to the current surreal, hideous current climate. Gloria Steinam said something like…”Trump isn’t qualified to live in the White House. He’s not fit to have lunch in the White House.” (not verbatim). Basically sums it up, wouldn’t you say?

Rebecca…saw his game-changer, spinner, alternate facts, spokesperson on Meet the Press Sunday. Couldn’t help but notice how low her blouse was cut, showing cleavage. Oh well, what is okay for her doesn’t necessarily apply to everyone I guess.

Rose…Ha! Well, ya know…she’s not Alexis. Maybe she’s still the proper age category? 😉 I’m still dealing with her Nutcracker outfit! Nut…being operative word.

I also agree with you Jamesj75…This site is about daytime dramas for where we want to escape…

Thanks, Kevin. An “escape” is exactly what I need!

Hey everyone…I needed an escape, especially today. And I am trying to keep my politics out of MF’s page. As others have said easier said than done. Luckily a local ABC affiliate in my area wasn’t broadcasting the “festivities” and instead did a GH Christmas-time rerun…Laura and Kevin making up/ making out, toys for tots at the hospital, Anna and Alexis pooling info on Valentin, etc. I could even handle Sonny and Carly talking things over about Morgan’s death (? Still don’t think he’s gone forever)

Thanks for your reply, Rose! Kudos to that ABC affiliate in your area!

Bah ha ha!!
Meanwhile Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have canceled.
Opps, I mean a COVER band of Bruce Springsteen has canceled their appearance at the inauguration. They call themselves The D Street Band.
Even the D listers want no part of this circus.

from online=
The Latest: Tony Orlando to perform at the inaugural ball ((from the 60’s …
And– that other guy that Sam Moore who was one half Sam and Dave duo from 1961 (in his 80’s)
how much worse can it get for him .
—— Nursing Home Night Inauguration … ahaa!

Most that voted for Trump weren’t even born when those guys were doing their thing.. They as me– ((who are those guys?))
EMMBARRASSING FOR TRUMP– ((I never heard either of them))

LOL…did you hear Alec Baldwin’s latest? It was hilarious! …”…Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lawrence will be at the inauguration… courtesy of Madame Tussauds.”

And you know what’s even more pathetic? Aside from the fact that out of the approximately 53% of the country that even bothered to vote…and this buffoon is going to run a country when he actually lost by three million of that small percentage that voted…but I digress…what’s pathetic is that many of those shouting to repeal Obamacare are probably on it and don’t know it. They didn’t know Obamacare is the same as the Affordable Care Act! So, those that should have signed up and would have been qualified didn’t realize they could get it…and many of Trump supporters who are receiving it are going to lose their coverage and probably wind up having to go to clinics or the hospital every time they need to see a doctor. Or…maybe they’ll get to save and put away all their “extra” money for a health savings plan. That’ll REALLY help mid-aged people who live paycheck-to-paycheck, won’t it? Yep! Make Amercia Great Again! The rich get richer and the others well…get sicker. What a guy that Trumpster!

Amen, SuOO and Rebecca.
Alec Baldwin is doing a great job. I just wish the president elect could learn to laugh at himself the way Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, senior and junior, Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama did when SNL parodied them.
Instead, he is so thin skinned and egotistical, he throws tantrums on Twitter. When will he realize that until he learns to laugh at himself we the American people will continue to laugh at himself.

opps, at him, not himself. Sorry!

Hey Rebecca, is there still original Harry? Because I responded to a Harry who sounded like the old Harry, and commented on another MF story. Or is he the mysterious Addison? What do you think?

Hi Rose. Happy New Year! Long time…(haven’t been posting as much…lots going on.) LOL and I don’t know! Harry/Addie has got us goin’ round in circles! hahaha…I’ve been asking said person (s) to fess up but to no avail. I guess, as I mentioned earlier, if you’re going to change your identity there’s no point if you then reveal said identity!

I think they’re one and the same. Addison sounds like Harry and hasn’t questioned me with a “what are you tawkin’ ’bout” every time I ask, so I’m going it’s the same person,

Give me am H for five hundred! 😉

@Addison, aka, “Harry”…..Thank you for your heartfelt reply. Despite the fact that we will just have to “agree to hugely disagree” on the subject at hand, I nonetheless always send my best to you, as evidenced from my previous holiday greetings. At least we have a shared love for “Moon River”…let’s focus on that! Take care, my friend.

Andy Williams kicked ass on that song BUT seriously, check out the Clay Aiken version, not bad!

Very cool. He’s still hot as hell! yum!

Who? Donald or Antonio?

Rhonda, you are a breath of fresh air.
Re, to your comment on the bottom of page, thank you for mentioning the rights that the First Amendmend affords us. But, there are many on this very site who have tried more than once to shame me for voting for Trump. I am not ashamed. I did nothing untoward. My choice, my right.
I feel for Hillary the same way the other less than a quarter per cent feel for Trump. I was ready to vote for Hillary, but, after weighing the issues, I went with him. Does that make me wrong? A bad person? It is an individual and personal conclusion. The vicious attacks were vile…..to the point where one poster decided he could not be part of a conversation with me in it.
You have spoken your feelings. I so appreciate that, even if we may be on opposite sides of the aisle. We are human beings, first and foremost.
You feel that Trump will be inpeached. Let’s hope not, for all our sake. I do hope he walks the right walk.
Wasn’t Bill Clinton impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice? The senste acquitted him….nice….let us not forget his peccadillos (and, ogling Ivanka, lol). And, there was always the chance of Hillary being impeached had she won….classified info strewn in the wind on her private server.
As I said, I thank you for your frankness, civility and fairness.

LOL Rhonda!

No words.

You said a mouthful.

Wish I could go to the Ball with him!

GOOD FOR YOU….HONOR OUR COUNTRY AND OUR MILITARY!

Yes have fun. While this country is based on our freedoms , speaking, voting.
This is the free world not third world country. Trump should be able to enjoy his day.

dittos

You are so right, Janet! It was an absolute shame that President Trump and those of us who supported him were not granted the same courtesy of a joyful, stress-free celebration over his inauguration that the previous occupant and his followers were allowed by those of us who were equally less than thrilled with the outcomes of the 2008/2012 elections…It just goes to show that there are always two sets of rules for different people (and political parties) when it comes to enjoying victory. It was particularly galling that certain performers were bullied by the left into not appearing on behalf of DJT…..many of those were his personal friends and were put in an impossible position of whether or not to attend these once-in-a-lifetime events, most particularly the visually-impaired Andrea Bocelli. Here was a disabled man with a God-given voice who was willing to travel to a country not his own in order to salute our new leader until some repulsive gems of creation actually had the inhumanity to threaten him with death. How could any decent person abide or condone such a depraved act and not condemn it in the most disapproving terms possible???? (I particularly aim this question toward those who have mentioned Trump’s supposed mockery of a handicapped person–which, for the record, really didn’t happen as it was depicted in a slickly-produced campaign ad by the opposition. There is actual video evidence out there that his actions were merely an oft-used, generic imitation of a flustered or confused person that DJT has repeatedly employed, even when describing himself in a tizzy. In fact, the person that he was purported to be portraying in jest in reality has very limited use of his body, so such frantic movements wouldn’t have been physically accurate anyway. I realize this is a very sensitive subject, and no offense is intended, but I just wanted to finally put this false narrative to rest and get the information out there since it has become a widely-accepted and pretty much undisputed myth amongst his naysayers. Suffice to say that the proof is there for those who care to seek it.)

What a Huuuge star for the event

I smell sarcasm!
What will he do for an act?
Pose and preen in his Calvin Klein underwear.

Perhaps he can be two people, Harry: Victor/Victoria.

that is up to him if he and other celebrities go to this event. Trump will make sure nobody outshines him. I won’t bother to watch any of the inauguration and will be at the gym Friday. Too bad GH won’t be shown on my local ABC alternate channel. I have a feeling everytime Trump wants to “speak” to the press, GH will be pre-empted. I’m so sick of him!

Hey Linda your FORMER president Obama interrupted GH repeatedly for EIGHT years and he had to do it ONE more time on Wednesday for his EXIT speech!

I am totally fine with Trump interrupting our soaps just as I was fine when the other presidents did so.

Incredibly true and profound post, Timmmy. I go far and above the call of duty helping the needy.
I have been fortunate in many ways. I have also lost so much in life…..some things are worth more than any amount of money.
I have more than I need, but I help those less fortunate than I.
These issues which are being protested are age-old….they have been around forever. Nonetheless, all the problems have been lain on Trump’s shoulders, who has barely stepped into the presidential shoes. He did not create all these issues. The timing of these protests is sooo perfect, isn’t it?
Yes, I despised what he said. No excuses, period. However, I know him as a completely different person.
As, President Trump supporters, we are all despicable, all deplorable, all racists, all whatever else ….. just think about the absurdity of that. It is those exact words which helped Trump win.
We are the haters? Really? Look at the hate hurled at Antonio Sabato for supporting Trump. Listen to these Hollywood bigots.
Who the heck is Hillary Rodman? Is she better than Trump? Had my husband done to me what Bill did, I would have run as if the very devil were on my heels. Instead she stayed. To save her marriage? What marriage? That’s a marriage? No, dhe stayed to garner her own career, doing what is right be damned!!
What is so wonderful about Obama? Look around us….He went as far as abandoning Israel, left our ally, recklessly vacillating in a row-boat full of holes, amidst a tempestuous sea. Nice!!
So, we should not judge, lest we be judged. But, it serms, that’s all these radicals do….judge. Why? Because they all are exempt of sin and they all wear halos.
It is a real evil, distorted way of looking at things, when I read or hear that people actually wish Trump to fail?????? If the president fails, the country fails, we, Americas, all of us, fail. For shame!!!!
Love you, Timmmy. I hope we all fare well. I have said enough, and, I hope everyone else has, as well.

Not a Trump fan at all,,,,,but, NEITHER he nor President Obama ( nor any other president) makes the decision to interrupt programming….that falls to the networks to decide. So, wanna complain, complain to your local stations….they choose to cover or not.

Thank you, Chaz. That needed to be said.

I agree with you Linda. This narcissist will probably be “interrupting our regularly scheduled programs” every other night! Seriously…who tweets and does a “victory tour?” LOL. He NEEDS attention; we’re going to be catching up on every show on any time of day or night. If it wasn’t so frightening it’d be hilarious.

Oh…one more thing. Not sure if we have to worry about him “speaking to the press” as he has distanced himself from what he calls…”false news.” So, basically, every time he utters a falsehood, exaggeration, incorrect info…he’ll insist it’s the truth and the actual truth is “WRONGGGGG.” But no doubt even without the press he’ll be “addressing” his ‘court’ on a continual basis. Stay tuned. (ummmm, well, not to the inaug…)

Well, I give the man two years before he is impeached and forced out of office.

Have a safe trip. Good for him sticking to his guns. (No pun intended)

Tired of the vile filthy talk as of tomorrow I am closing all e mails except for my personal business account! Maybe you posters think this is fun but I think it is sick makes me sick to my stomach ! Got two words for this nation! Get Jesus!,,

Hi, Kay,
I really hope you change your mind about truncating all communication, albeit I understand how you feel. Some stuff that is said by fanatics and done radical actions disturbs me, as well….people seem to forget some have no cause or purpose.
I will come on the GH site sparingly….as it is the only site where the conversation does get vile by a distinct few. No respect for anyone, or his/her opinion. We should all be able to state our thoughts without having a lynch mob after us if what we say does not match up with said mob.
Now, the ideology of women’s rights encompasses many aspects/issue, not necessarily all about abortion, albeit I believe in freedom of choice. I doubt any woman, unless under dire circumstances, wants an abortion. I would think that when a child, herself, bears a child is inconceivable to me (pardon the pun), and she may be ‘made’ to have an abortion by her parents. Personally, I believe that would be the right thing to do….or a product of rape. I have a baby daughter. I ask myself what I would advise her to do, if it should happen to our family? This would be a family affair….it involves everyone.
It is such a delicate matter; personally and individually. As a Roman Catholic, I sound like a heretic; however, I do not always agree with the teachings of the Church. All these rules are a result of the Reformation. ‘Things’ had gotten wild, at one point with the Catholic Church. But, I believe in freedom of choice……in a myriad of things, such as equal pay, and no double standard.
As an observation,……where were the protests when Obama and Hillary were fraternizing with the Saudis, accepting million afer million of dollars from them, the very people who de-humanize women and gays? But, as so many leftists, they can do no wrong.
Just as our newly-elected President said; he will leave the abortion issue up to the state. He will not interfere with that. Is it the right thing to do? Who knows. He would be criticized no matter what he says and does. …..between a rock and a hard-place?
I do think that there are people with a true cause….my hats off to those women who have the courage to ‘speak’ by demonstration. But, many follow just because……that simply diminishes the meaning of standing up for a cause.
Madonna spoke some very radical, treasoneous and terroristic words. Now, she excuses it by saying she did not mean it? Really?. Had any of us said it, what would have happened? Had she lived in another country other than the US, she’d be in chains and at the whipping post by now. But, she is a “star”, a dried up, prune, at that.
I hope to ‘see’ you, again, Kay….if not here, then over at Y&R?
Bye.

Religion and Politics are always going to a hot button issue. I never judge anyones choices unless they boast about “Their” candidate or “Their” God. To each his own. If we disagree we move on. Sometimes people will NOT let it go. To those who shoved Obama down my throat for eight years are the same azzholes who will not give Trump ONE day in office. Get off the streets, put your signs away and clean the house, walk the dog or go back to work, quit breaking windows, starting fires or hurting our wonderful police! I have an OPEN mind. I will listen to anyone who makes a valid point. Dont spew hate and then tell me you are not a hater. God bless Celia and this country, goodbye K!

Just as an aside, to those here who delight in regarding Trump supporters as somehow lacking in knowledge or possessing less intellectual gifts than they whilst
smugly decrying our new president and his proposed agenda in the most condescending of terms, let me assure you that everyone with whom I am acquainted is quite aware of the policies of the past administration and what they entail….in large part, that is precisely why we voted the way we did this time around…we are not interested in having the personal aspects of our lives micro-managed by the government on a cradle-to-grave basis. We are adults and fully capable of handling such details and responsibilities by ourselves, thank you very much. As related specifically to the “Affordable Care Act,”–which really isn’t—it will be our fondest wish fulfilled to have this horribly conceived, illegally implemented and intrusively imposing monstrosity be repealed and thus, permanently removed from the insurance landscape. In the process of shoving this load of bureaucratic bunk down the throats of the American people, far too many individuals suffered the loss of their own superior policies that they had earned as a benefit of the fruits of their labor, or had simply purchased according to their own needs and desires. In other words, those most satisfied with their current form of health coverage were denied the right to keep that product to which they were freely entitled and often forced to replace it with one of an inferior quality and at a much more expensive price, even though they didn’t want it. This happened to so many people I know, I’ve lost count…and even once they complied with the new laws, they often lost one policy after a short while and had to go in search of another in order to meet legal requirements and have something, anything, to call their own coverage. (And don’t get me started about how the new
deductibles are sky-high and the costs astronomical…chances are that even if these policies are ever used, it’s doubtful they would deliver…regardless of the “discounts” so “generously” afforded to those on that mess of an exchange.) It was only through the grace of God that my own private policy somehow survived over
these past eight years…I guess it was grandfathered since I initially purchased it after graduating college and transferring directly from my father’s corporate account on to a similar individual one with the same company, but it was a white knuckle experience each year wondering if I was going to receive one of those dreaded notices that my provider was no longer permitted to offer my policy of choice. Now that I have thus far escaped becoming a casualty of this horrible law, I want the future threat removed. And so do all those I know who are only too aware that what they have is courtesy of the ACA or the more pejoratively-named “Ocare.” No matter what it’s called they don’t need it, they don’t like, they don’t want it, got it????? That’s not to say that certain provisions shouldn’t be made to help those truly in need, and President Trump plans to address that in his repeal/replace plans, but it really makes my blood boil when pro-ACA advocates fail to acknowledge what an unpopular and utter mess this entire program has been for those who should have been allowed to just leave well enough alone. Now it’s imperative that the laws be fixed to afford the free market greater latitude in its ability to offer its products, provide proper–i.e., logical—tax incentives
that all can enjoy (regardless of income levels) and remove the onus from businesses, especially smaller concerns, to offer specific policies according to the number and type of employees they have, since this has been a real economic issue in terms of job numbers and the feasibility of the cost of keeping companies going at the same levels as prior to the ACA. To put it quite simply, given his financial background in the “real world,” President Trump understands this in a way that
most Washington insiders/pointy-headed policy wonks cannot comprehend, and like it or not, he is going to get rid of this albatross that the previous POTUS put upon the American people. Deal with it……

Thats one of my favorite things about President Donald J. Trump, he is NOT a lifer, a Washington insider, he has no Azz to kiss, he does what he believes is best for the country and not whats best for his future political agenda. He is a billionaire. I believe that all the campaigning that he did, and he did a lot, he met folks that he would never get to know while living in NY, flying in his copter or golfing at one of his courses. He has had a wonderful silver spooned life and through this campaigning experience, he has learned how many good, hard working people that want to thrive with his help. People in this country work hard, they struggle and they need a lift, some assistance, not a lifestyle on stamps but a lift. Donald will do that. He WANTS to be the greatest president that ever lived! EVERYTHING he has done in life he wants to be #1. Some would say he is spoiled. Well, winning is earned, it not about holding your hand out, its about working hard. Mr. Trump sleeps 4 hours a day. Everything else he does is about becoming better and more successful. He did it with his companies and he will do it for America! On a side note: All these celebrities who spoke out against Trump and the the singers who rallied against their President, what you are saying is anyone who voted for Trump, stay home, dont come to my concerts, we dont need you. Okay, the list is expansive but Madonna, Lady Gaga, Springsteen, Joel, Bon Jovi, Streisand, Dixie Chicks, fine by me. The actors who dont want ALL people to buy movie tickets, Streep, DeNiro, Tarintino and other, who cares, goodbye. And oh, Alec Baldwin, how about treating your daughter like a human being, loving her like a father loves his daughter, not calling her a pig and then I will listen Alec! And Rosie O’Donnell, you want martial law? How about raising your kids, nourtering them and then I might listen! Hollywood Hypocrites!

Damn it, how could I leave Madonna off the “Hollywood Hypocrite” list! She leads the pack as one of the biggest haters out there! She is a mean mean women who fans are suppose to lean on EVERY word she says as being gospel. IF you disagree, you are deemed a loser. And get this, she is a “Mother!” I have more respect for a Kardashian than I do for a 80’s has been!

Well I find it interesting that Trump supporters are criticizing Trump protesters for their ill behavior…which by and large was committed by a very few of the vastly huge population of anti-Trump people here and abroad…they seem to have a short memory of the abhorrent acts committed by anti Obama protesters who shouted the “N” word…threw nooses around trees, burned down a black family’s home, set fire to a newspaper of an Obama supporter and taped it to her home, another shot two Latino women. In all, the Southern Poverty Center counted more than 200 “hate-related” incidents around the election and inauguration of Barack Obama as the nation’s first African-American president.

As per ridiculing Barron Trump, Trump’s young son, I agree it’s despicable. This gorgeous boy is off limits. That said, so should have been Chelsea Clinton whose looks were a continuous source of ridicule when she was just a little girl in the White House.

I also didn’t hear any condemnation of the disgusting Trump supporters calling Michelle Obama an “ape in heels.”

The Affordable Care Act? “Care” is the operative word. One needs to “care” about one’s fellow citizens who need help affording astronomical premiums. The Affordable Care Act did just that. Twenty million people had quality health insurance. Were there flaws with the system? It seems so…for some who weren’t on the Act. The difference in the Sanders, Clinton vs Trump? The first two wanted to “fix” it…work on it so that it would be equitable for all. Trump and his good ol’ boys? GET RID OF IT!!!! Their alternative? Oh! They don’t have one. Maybe they’ll allow the 20 million to go to free clinics…or set aside money they don’t have for a health insurance savings account.

Let those who can afford insurance go without. Walk in your brother and sister’s shoes…then see how you like Trump. Then see how you “deal with it.”

Thank You for speaking the truth. Selective memory has always been as easy escape for trump and his minions. One thing I do know for sure, Trump is the most hated President Elect in American History. That will be his legacy and the only selective memory I’ll have of him.

More of the Story on ‘General Hospital’ Star Josh Kelly’s Latest Film Role in ‘The Workout’

We had previously shared that General Hospital’s Josh Kelly was taking three weeks away from his role of Cody Bell to a shoot a role in an upcoming movie entitled The Workout.

Josh originally revealed his role in the film during an episode of GH castmates, Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson’s (Spinelli) podcast.

Now Deadline has filled in some of the blanks, and shared some intriguing intel on the premise of the film and its back-story.  The film stars Kelly along with Peter Jae, and UFC Fighter, Ashlee Evans-Smith. Other cast members include The Bay’s Kristos Andrews.

In The Workout, two army rangers set out to create a workout video, but their plans are abruptly halted when a mob hit interrupts their filming. Tragically, one of the rangers loses his wife in the attack, sending him on a relentless mission to take down the mob and anyone who stands in his way.

The film from James Cullen Bressack, almost did not get financed.  Apparently, ten days before his birthday, Bressack made a post on Instagram about the feature and production, casting, and financing came from the post … illustrating the power of social media. After the post gained traction, a producer provided financing and actors expressed interest in joining the project, leading to a quick production.

Photo: ABC

In a statement, Bressack shared, “As artists a painter paints, a musician makes music, a writer writes, but as filmmakers we have to ask permission to create. It’s time to change that narrative. This film spawned from a necessity to create. We create. We tell stories. We play pretend. I’m excited to take this journey. This is the truest form of collaboration and a community of friends coming together to make something fun. While our industry has had a rough time recently with strikes and a possible strike looming in the future, it’s nice to remind ourselves why we got into film to begin with. To have fun telling stories.”

No word yet on when The Workout will be released.

So, looking forward to seeing this collaborative effort featuring GH’s Josh Kelly? Comment below.

General Hospital’s Adam J. Harrington Weighs-in On John and Carly, and How it’s ‘Starting to Get Very Complicated”

On recent episodes of General Hospital, Carly (Laura Wright) came to John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) rescue as he was beaten down in an assault. Carly put on her “nurses cap,” sort of speak, and got John to his hotel room and watched over to him, to make sure he didn’t lose consciousness.

GH fans also got their first glimpse of what may be a new romance for Carly, if she and John continue to bond.  If John and Carly were to have a relationship, it would certainly have a ripple effect with Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard).

Adam J. Harrington shared his view on the scenes and what might be next between the two. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Harrington shared, “I thought it was written in a way where there’s an understanding and a respect between them both. I don’t think there was any moment where she was not aware that he’s an FBI agent, and there was no moment that he wasn’t aware of her history and relationship to other people in the town. I really liked it. I was really looking forward to shooting it with Laura and we had a really nice time shooting it.”

Photo: ABC

When Carly and John part ways, it seems there were some romantic sparks, as Harrington puts it, “Isn’t that interesting that sometimes with people, the one moment they actually show how they feel is when they know there’s an escape hatch. They know they’re about to walk away. So, it’s almost safe in that moment to do it. I thought that was really special about how (the writers) handled John and Carly. Even the music in that scene was beautifully done.”

Where is this all heading? Conflict! Internally and professionally, and as Adam explains, “Who Carly was to John on paper as just a tool to be used as bait is starting to get very complicated.”

What would you think of a John and Carly pairing? Would you prefer him with Anna, or neither of them? Let us know via the comment section and take our poll below.
