Personally, would rather see Aaron back in the mix, but if it gets me some Lexi scenes, I’m happy.

I believe this.

just a happy trio… oy : Kristina / Parker / Aaron. till Kristina makes that decision

just a fun loving trio who are not bogged down by any thing or “any one” in all of Port Charles.

isn’t that a relief. PLUS this trio ALL have acting skill

bring this back long term… so we can forget about the NUmob.

I also liked Aaron. However, as someone who works in higher education, I can’t tell you how distasteful it is to see a storyline where a professor sleeping with a student is treated like a grand romance. In the real world, this is called sexual harassment, and university employees (especially instructors at ALL levels – even grad students) have to go thru seminars before stepping foot in the classroom that will outline the HUGE conflicts of interest that even the *suggestion* of a relationship could cause.

I think it’s an interesting storyline line for Kristina & Parker let it ride…

I really don’t want to see a connection as I don’t see any chemistry berween them. She is too old for her and not a great actress. I would rather not see her back as too many actors come and go just for a limited number of episodes. Slow down the returns and give the seasoned actors the best storyline. This is what keeps viewers watching for years.

Yes, Parker and Kristina look like they could be mother and daughter. I was happy when this story dropped away.

Perhaps that’s the point, Carrie…Krissie’s sudden crush on Parker after having been involved with and even previously married to only males always screamed “Mommy issues” to me. We never saw any indication prior to this storyline that the character had any attraction whatsoever to females when she was mixing within her own peer group as a teenager….this sudden switch came out of nowhere in the form of a sensational storyline centered around Professor Parker and why this angle was never explored is beyond me. If Krissie had been doing the dirty with an older male college instructor, you can bet your sweet tea that it would have been termed an indicator of a “Daddy Issue,” and the ever-hypocritical Alexis would probably have been the first to throw shade at Sonny over it.

Max Daddee

The older woman thing was a boring and somewhat ridiculous storyline. I thought the young guy Aaron seemed to portray a character that would be kept around. No need to put Ashley on the GH payroll, at least from this viewer’s perspective…

Carrie…EXACTLY!!!!! A-n-d…this time, the story needs to DROP AWAY…FOREVER!!!!!

Take care.

I cannot help but feel that Kristina is trying on lesbianism as one would try on a new Hermes scarf. This storyline certainly doesn’t resonate with reality the way Bianca Kane’s did on All My Children.
Also, if Parker were a man they’d be calling him a sexual predator. Anytime a professor makes a move on a student, it’s pushing the boundaries because the professor is in a position of authority. It’s clear Kristina is troubled and that she has issues as she always seems to be in a state of petulant histrionics. For Parker to put the moves on this troubled young student of hers is all kinds of wrong.
Here’s a story which thinks it’s being politically correct but which is actually the anti thesis to being politically correct.

I’m with you on this one, Sandy…The current Kristina with anyone is not my cup of tea, but the age difference between these two characters is far too great and really does not make for a very inspiring coupling by any stretch of the imagination. Why this storyline is even back as a retread is really mystifying when the Aaron aspect to Krissie’s relationship roulette was never played out to a logical conclusion. Moreover, I’m still not accepting this particular actress in the role of Sonny’s daughter…I would like to see the former one back in the role…she was much more appealing in personality and totally sizzled with her co-stars, albeit they were all males back then….LOL. For that reason alone, it would be most interesting to see how she would portray this character now…..

Lexi Ainsworth assumed the role of Kristina after the character was SORASed in 2009. She played her until her contract was not renewed (under JFP/Wolf). Her youthful appearance may have made it hard to put her in romantic situations (such as her flirtation with Ethan).

FV cast Lindsey Morgan as Kristina in 2012. Many viewers made note of the strange chemistry between her and MB, She might have got a bum deal with Carlivati’s “Mob Princess” reality show storyline followed by the Connie/Trey (mother/son) relevation. Shortly after Trey’s death, Kristina unceremoniously slithered off to college.

Ainsworth resumed the role in 2015 and won an Emmy this year.

@Steve….For me, it’s never been the “youthful appearance” that doesn’t work…it’s the attitude, the personality…I just cannot get over the obstinate, wicked child vibe that the current actress brings to the role….I felt the same way the first time around with her and the ensuing years did not make a whit of difference in how I perceive her as this character, regardless of storylines, Emmy, whatever…With Lindsey Morgan, the rebellious nature was still there, but it was sexier and more mature in keeping with the supposed age of the character. Although I never paid that much attention to MB, the “strange chemistry” probably was there as you state because, after all, Sonny is Sonny, but I do know that much like Kelly Monaco, you could see how all the other males appreciated playing off that particular actress. She was the perfect “Mob Princess!”

Shay, I couldn’t agree more. I know there are many Lexifans out there, and I’ll concede she is a decent actress. But that snarky, spoiled brat vibe of hers gets old very quickly and I don’t have the patience for it. And, frankly, Ashley Jones deserves better than a May-December non-romance with this whiner.

Seems like Frank has coffee with any actor, the actor picks up the tab, Frank says, “What are you doing next Thursday?” AND the actor is booked for a DAY!

Stop the presses–I agree with Shay!!! Completely.

Yes, Shay, this Kristina does act as the spoiled, privileged daughter of “il padrino”.
But, there’s always a ‘but’, LOL. I thoroughly enjoyed the pent-up anger she regurgitated upon her mother’s deaf ears, and senseless puppy love.
Alexis should have known Julian’s presence would agitate everyone in question, regardless of the fact he is Sam’s father. Actually, coma or not, she could care less.
I agree with you and Soaphound, yes….but, we needed this scene….and, Kristina’s petulance and angst was soooo germane here.

I am so excited, you cannot even imagine! I love so much these two ladies, their chemistry and the story line. I hope Parker stays around, much more than the last time. There is so much potential!! This love story needs to be told, with its ups and downs, like any other.

Hi, Angellinna?
This is the first time I’ve ever seen the name with two ens.
Anyway, I would have rather seen this story develop with someone more in line with Kristina’s age….if the story needed to be told, at all.

Grant Putnam

It’s time for Alexis to find solace in Parker’s arms and take her on a wild lesbian ride, GH’s first all girl-mother-daughter triangle. Or maybe she is married to olJason?

I like the actress, however, I am not looking forward to the “Parker” story line again. I don’t think she’s the right girl for Kristina at all.

I think Parker is definitely right for Kristina. They were amazing together.. The chemistry is undeniable. This happens in every day life. Looking forward to the continuation of these 2 brilliant actresses.

Jackie Meixner

Kat,right on!SOO EXCITED.Thank you GH for bringing back a wonderful actress

Mister Media

I recall this character from, oh, about a year ago in a promising story that was inexplicably dropped like hot rock. The writers didn’t care enough to follow through then, so it’s hard for me to care now…..

Kevin O.

Karen Clark

don’t care at all

Fans have waited a whole year for Parker to make her return. So happy Pristina will be back! I love their relationship because it is so complicated. The best ones always are. Clearly, Kristina has feelings for Parker which are still unresolved. I hope GH gives them the air time they so deserve. Both Ashley and Lexi are phenomenally talented and have amazing chemistry together. Hoping Parker is back for good and not just swinging by again.

I agree with you. They have fantastic chemistry and bringing more awareness in every day issues that people desk with. They both did an outstanding job portraying their characters. Definitrky waited far too long for GH to wake up and bring this SL upfront and center. Too many unanswered questions and it’s time to resume their attraction & journey together.

Whatever happened to that young guy Kristina was seeing before…the one who showed interest in Sonny…and is Oscar Nelle’s brother???

I think Sonny may have had him whacked, jimh! Perhaps his body will emerge in the waters by Pier 52 one of these days….

Too bad he cant fall in hat place Sonny is in and finish him off-lol

Phyllis Fontaine DeMarco

I was at Pier One Imports and could have sworn I saw him shoplifting. I thought about following, but they were having a great sale. Is there any chance you are miffed that Alexis is somehow living the life you so fervently are desirous of? Teensie-weensie? I tire of Sonny, but suppose I would let him in to use the phone if his car broke down and he didn’t shoot me. Even slip into Alexis’ shoes. If they weren’t ten sizes too small. But I asked you. If I am Donna Beck, albeit without her amenities package and no upgraded appliances, would you be Phoebe? Am I Opal to your Langley? Or am I being summarily dismissed?

P.S. So exactly what was Aaron shoplifting??? The Pier does have countless exotic little shiny knick-knacks to be had, but I’m guessing if you noticed this dude’s kleptomaniacal moves, they must have been none too smooth…maybe “ting-ting” down the pant-legs? Please, please tell me now……

Haha, jimh! Like we’d ever be so lucky…a meteor could wipe out the entirety of Port Charles, and still, somehow, Sonny would survive! He always has to be the last man standing!

Sonny would survive AND Scotty Baldwin’s hair!

Scotty’s hair would survive Irma!!!! His cornbroom-like coiffure is indestructible!

pamala glover

She was Kristina’s teacher Married, old. Repeately has affairs with her students. Why would they think anyone would want to see this again? Are they trying to get gh cancelled?

I was never too invested in Parker as a character and her relationship with Kristina was undeveloped, so I’m not too thrilled to see her back. I would much rather Ashley Jones return to B&B as Bridget because I’ve missed her (and the whole Jackie M crew for that matter) since their exits. The upside is that Lexi Ainsworth will hopefully be utilized more because she has been back-burned for far too long.

As for GH, it would have been nice to keep Serena Baldwin in town permanently and have her turn out to be lesbian or bi-sexual, and develop a relationship with Kristina. The story would be much more impactful if it was between two of the show’s legacy characters (like Will and Sonny on DAYS) and it would keep Serena in town longer.

@Jimmy….For me, Jennifer Finnigan was the definitive Bridget on B&B…always enjoyed her portrayal!

Phyllis Fontaine DeMarco
Phyllis Fontaine DeMarco

I thought Bridget on Bridget and Bernie was Meredith Baxter Birney?

Phyllis, did you know Bridget Loved Bernie before Joanie Loved Chachi?

@Phyllis…Why, yes, I do believe she was, however, as it actually turns out, Bridget didn’t really “love Bernie”….In fact, she “loved Bernadette!”

DAYS of OUR Lives – NEEDS to hire this lady… she could be a recast Sami Brady

OR – she could be Maggies daughter

why couldn’t she be Kates granddaughter Chelsea

I LOVE Ashley Jones natural presence the camera loves her. and so must Lexie

the trio of Lexie / Parker / Aaron was so HOT.

this welcome back with Ashley Jones is already more interesting than Steve Burton

Long, hot summer in Port Charles. Couldn’t think of a better time for a refreshing dip-in the ladypond! Shame the waters are so shallow-as once they dive-in, rest assured they will join the ranks of Felix, Brad and is it Lucas-can’t remember-have not seen him in ions. Is Brad still even employed at GH or did he pack his tainted urine samples and leave town? Why her, why now-when so many, many people and no money and firings-one invests their interest in one after another who is then either shown the door or perennially MIA? What happened to the very attractive young man that was interested in Kristina? What makes most sense to me is Mommie Dearest Alexis-who has a new AA sponsor that allows beer and wine-better yet, a trip to the Valley of the Dolls. Neely O’hara! Alexis surely needs someone to ease her past Julian-and perhaps a truly sordid Ladypond mother/daughter stinkfest love triangle. Tiring of tepid, please-bring it up a notch.

Sparkle, Phyllis, Sparkle!

Adorable Aaron moved into the vanishing vortex with Alice, Rosalie and Ric.

Oh, yeah!! I had completely forgotten about Rosalie.

Many of my posts here are in that vortex. Would you happen to know the mailing address? I am growing fond of you, Steven Lars, very fond indeed. But sorry you failed to see Kelly Sullivan’s remarkable talents as Connie Falconeri. I can’t remember her alter’s name right now, but found her performances electrifying and then she was promptly fired, of course. Then to Y&R. where psychotic Sharon fans promptly trashed and campaigned against her-so they killed her off as well. I have not seen her new Tyler Perry show but would love to- she is one of my favorites. Do you mind if I smoke?

I suggested the exact same thing eons ago when it looked as though the “Parker-Go-Round” was going to go full-tilt in Port Charles, and it was roundly pooh-poohed, Phyllis. I also subsequently maintained to similar nays that it’s time for Alexis to go swimming in a new kind of waterpark….after all those failed, disastrous relationships with the opposite sex, she needs to find an alternative to that stale groove she’s been locked in forever with her endless parade of criminal male miscreant paramours! Tsk, tsk!…Nothing could be better than the scenario you have so vividly constructed…I always said that Krissie’s attraction to Parker was due to her own mommy issues, so what could be more psychologically messed up than the “Two Mommies” having their own sort of lovefest up close and personal in this sulky child’s face??? In your own words, that would most certainly “bring it up a notch!”

Hmmmm. Interesting. Alexis and Parker should give it a go. Wow!!!!! Cat fights galore.
And, one never knows….finally, Alexis may find just the thing to challenge her overactive wander-lust.

Seems Miss Phyllis is suddenly playing the coy coquette with us….first she dazzles us with her brilliantly saucy wit and hilarious repartee and now zip, zero, nada…What’s with the “Touch me in the morning and then just walk away….” act, Ms. DeMarco???? Not nice, not nice, even if you do enjoy leaving us wanting more!!!!

Phyllis, I don’t mind if you smoke, but I think the management of the MetroCourt would. We only have this room until noon.

What do you say we spend the day shopping at Wyndham’s. Then for dinner, I have a two-for-one Groupon for the Floating Rib. People rave about the ribs, but I remember the namesake restaurant fondly, where as a child that floozie Susan Moore would bring my dad Jeff some prime rib. Ah, memories.

We’ll just have to disagree on the acumen of Miss Sullivan.

I hate the couple nicknames.

I know, Michael. When did that start? Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes? Brad Pit and Jennifer Aniston? Hmmmm.

Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner?

Wow…that should read Pitt.

Me too, Michael. And as I asserted above, if Parker were a Peter folks would be calling him a sexual predator.
Parker’s Peter? Peter Parker? Ass Man Landers!

@Harry…Loved your Hermes scarf analogy! (That would be the analogy, not the actual scarf, you understand….although I would probably also adore the item if you have that, too!)

Aaron was a good character they should have kept him around. Never much cared for Parker.

nancy dillingham

Let me “correctus” to “interruptus” 🙂

James R. Poissant

I was wondering what was going on with Ashley because I just saw her in a commercial. when i saw her in that, it made me wonder if they dropped the ball on the Parker character. Glad to see they’re ready to go back to her.

Another combo name. Pristina. Ok, who decides these names? I find Pristina to be very amusing, more so than Karker, I suppose or Partina- no wait, I like Partina.

I am excited to see her back. I liked the chemistry between her and Kristena and getting Alexses mad

Really don’t need to continue this story. Hayden should be here with Finn and Liz. You get rid of fan favorites for unimportant stories no one cares about. Nothing against the actress. Boring story

Suzie rm

Did not care for this story or them.

I wish she would come back to The Bold and the Beautiful. I think Eric needs his daughter now. I think she’s a wonderful actress, but I wasn’t to thrilled with this story. She was to old for Kristina. But then again, as a fan of GH from the old days, I refuse to watch after the terrible “tribute show” for Peter Hansen. That was such a letdown

Unfortunately, the “tribute” show was a disaster with one flashback! What a complete letdown.

Good. I like this actress and we get to see Kristina on screen. I hope its a good story and just not a walk on.

This beautiful S/L represents older/younger couples that do exist! This couples deserves happiness just like any other. Age does NOT belong in adult relationships & they are both adults! We all fell in love with Parker because of Ashley’s amazing acting skills. Ashley & Lexi have shown great respect for these characters & this difficult & realistic story. This S/L is different & refreshing from all the others that have the same plots over & over. Ashley is the only one who could play this role. She ownes it and I cannot wait to see her portray all the different layers of Parker. Ashley & Lexi have this amazing chemistry right from the very 1st scene & every scene after that! Their chemistry carries over to Parker & Kristina. You feel it & see it whenever they are in the same room! Parker & Kristina is a wonderfully, beautifully & respectfully written S/L and we never know what’s going to happen. Always an element of surprise!

So those that do not like this story, then just don’t watch it. Stop degrading 2 highly talented actresses who agreed to take on this challenging storyline with hopes of reaching those who are facing many of the same challenges. Ashley & Lexi are understanding, caring actresses that deserve our respect for all those they have helped since this story began!

Jackie Meixner

Mary, you took the words right out of my mouth but to said it even better, thanks

It bothers me terribly when actresses agree to take on a new & challenging story and they get disrespected for it. Both Ashley & Lexi wanted the challenge of this S/L.
I have watched many stories I don’t care for & simply fast forward!
Just curious why there wasn’t all this negativity when the couple was Morgan & Ava, Sonny & Emily, Michael & Abbey (she was older & a stripper!!)
I cannot wait for Parker’s return next week

It’s about time #GH brought this SL back. I think Kristina and Parker’s chemistry was natural & undeniable.
They really brought this to life. It’s very important in this day and age to continue with their journey. I don’t
know why Age is such a big issue with this SL there have been many lovers with such a difference in age and it wasn’t an issue then. Doesn’t matter it’s 2 woman Love is Love and it’s Ageless. Ppl need to get with the times. Ashley is a phenomenal actress and her and Lexi are up for this challenge as they have shown. Remember Lexi won an Emmy for this SL. I am very excited they finally brought Parker back & find out more about her life and #Pristina’s journey.

Funny thing, Lexi won an Emmy and she has barely been on the show since.

I was never interested in the Parker/Kristina relationship. It seemed forced, thrown in by the writers to see if it would stick, and not too believable to me with a theme I just don’t care for. Plus, I’ve just never liked the Kristina character. She always seems to have little hissy fits about one thing or another compared to sister Molly. Must means Lexi is doing her job well for me to feel this way.

But it does seem they could be setting up Kristina to work her way into Sonny/daddy’a buniess. Some commenters have called her “Mob Princess” and it seems to fit. She sure has Sonny’s erratic/impatient temperment , and she made some Sonny-like threats to Julian when he was at the hospital to check up on Sam.

Rose, what a great idea, can’t believe it hadn’t occurred to me! Kristina would be a perfect replacement for Sonny. Similar smugness, erratic to the max (and she does it without having a bipolar reason). I like It! And by the way, if they’re trying to catch up with the 21st century, we already have a same-sex couple with chemistry that blows the roof off…and we NEVER see them. Let’s fill in that blank before adding more superfluous characters. Bring back Brad and Lucas!

Phyllis Fontaine DeMarco
Phyllis Fontaine DeMarco

Would not be surprised if Parker shows up just long enough to realize Kristina is bipolar. Because we can never have too many bipolar characters. I’d opt for bedwetting or folie a deux-you know I can not recall schizophrenia on daytime but surely have forgotten but would enjoy seeing that play out.

I agree with your description of Kristina, Rose, and I posted something very similar below. I think she acts entitled, spoiled, and immature, much like her brother Morgan did.

Scott (ATWT Fan)

I’m up for this, because I feel like the Parker/Kristina storyline got dropped far too soon. Though, low-key, I was hoping for Ashley to return as Bridget on The Bold and the Beautiful, because I miss that character and how different she was from the rest of the Forrester/Logan clan.

So excited to read this! Ashley Jones is a very good actress and hot! This storyline had great potential and was abruptly dropped. No one would blink an eye at the 15 year age difference if Parker were a man. Kristina is no longer her student and these two sizzle together. Bring it on!!

I beg to differ, Trish…As you may already know if you are a regular follower of this website, age is always a BIG issue here whenever character relationships are discussed and dissected! Furthermore, as far as GH May-December romances go, you need only go back to Sonny and Emily’s nauseating tryst….that was one hugely-panned yuckfest, although mercifully abridged!

Agree!!! Age has no business in adult relationships and Parker & Kristina are both adults!! Stop acting & treating Kristina like a teenager

I am very excited the Kristina&Parker Sthen /L is back. Its 2017 its Reality bbs in todays world

I am so very Happy and excited the Kristina&Parker S/L is being continued. Its 2017 its Reality in todays world. Two amazing actresses believing in and taking on amazing S/L That is not easy. They have nailed it beyond words.

Once again, we’re getting the same, old, tired comments… “Oh, I never liked Kristina. I never believed in this s/l. Parker is way too old. She looks like Kristina’s mom. What happened to Aaron? She’s not a good actress. Get somebody younger for Kristina. Have Kristina meet a nice boy.” JUST STOP!!! At least you all could come up with new arguments. And while I’m thinking about it and once again, for the UMPTEENTH time, Parker is not too old, a predator or a pedophile! She never once forced herself on Kristina. Never tricked, manipulated or seduced Kristina. In fact, the night they slept together, it was Kristina who leaned in first and initiated the first kiss. You know what the truth is? All you naysayers and haters are either high or were just born stupid. You’re definitely narrow minded and won’t even give this a chance that it so rightfully deserves. Or is it homophobia? Or ageism? Because either or both of those things could explain a lot. I’ve absolutely LOVED and SUPPORTED this relationship from the beginning and I will continue to do so. I just hope the writers do a better job at exploring this relationship this time. For the life of me, I will never know why or how more people don’t see just how beautiful and wonderful this relationship and s/l really is. No one, I repeat, NO ONE will ever make Kristina feel the way she does the way Parker is able to. No one, I repeat, NO ONE will ever make Kristina smile the way that Parker is able make her smile. Even if they put her with someone else, she’ll only be thinking of Parker. Her heart will always belong to her.

Same with the Steve Burton bashers! Classless! He made a choice to leave GH. No matter why, its HIS choice! Does he question any of the “Fans” career choices? NO!

Yes, T, and I have previously said; we do not know in what capacity Burton is returning….may be a short stay.

YES Trish, Ashley Jones is a highly talented actress and I agree, VERY HOT

Very well said

I am not thrilled with this news….I thought this story line was not developed well at all, could have been, but was not. I found Kristina to be pathetic in her attraction and pursuit of Parker, and Parker, well, sort of pathetic too.

Agree, and I posted something similar in my response below.

I am happy Parker is back, just hope it is long term and not a handful of episodes. The chemistry between Ashley and Lexi is undeniable.

Not interested in any story with Parker in it. Give me more Mac and Felicia, Diane and Max, Spinelli and Maxie, Laura and Kevin. Less Parker and Kristina, Michael and Nelle.

AGREE, love Mac and Felicia, love Diane, and I love Laura and Kevin.

I’m just not interested in this storyline. I think its because the storyline has been dropped many times; and I think the storyline is too mature for the likes of Lexi Ainsworth. I’ve just never been a big fan of hers. Her portrayal of Kristina is much like Bryan Craig’s portrayal of Morgan’s. Kristina is a spoiled, immature brat, IMO. The less air-time, the better. I don’t see what someone like Parker, who appears confident, evolved, and mature would see in Kristina.

I am loving the Kristina /Parker storyline! Finally, something that isn’t focused around the mob !! I think that Kristina could use a more updated hair makeover. The current style makes her look like 16, which is why people are having an issue. They have great chemistry and I cannot wait to see this unfold. Hopefully, they will not make this a once a week episode. When TPTB drag out a storyline too long, people lose interest. During the days of Luke and Laura, we didn’t have so many other things to capture our interest. As far as Aaron, “let sleeping dogs lie.”

I feel they should continue with the story line between krystina and Parker. This happens in real life. Let them proceed with their relationship just because Parker is older than krystina. It don’t mean they don’t have the right to be happy.

GH’s Laura Wright and Wes Ramsey Talk Their Love Connection & The Demands Of Daytime

After presenting for the first time together, at the 45th Annual Daytime Emmys since they’ve been a couple, Laura Wright (Carly) and Wes Ramsey (Peter aka Henrik) of General Hospital have certainly been in the throes of a romantic, fun, and cherished relationship. The two former stars of Guiding Light reconnected last year at Emmy time. Now, sharing their over one year anniversary, Michael Fairman TV caught up with Laura and Wes to get some insight into what makes their relationship work amidst the hustle and bustle, and pace of both being on a network television daytime drama series, and with the pressures of Hollywood where often relationships between two actors seem to start hot and heavy but then fizzle out.

If you caught this week’s GH, you witnessed that the town of Port Charles has found out that Peter is the notorious Cesar Faison’s son, and the ramifications that will be felt for weeks and months and potentially years to come. Meanwhile, Carly is in all sorts of trouble, thanks to naughty Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Nelle is making Carly look awfully unstable and what happens next could change Carly’s life forever.

So, what do these two lovebirds have to say about their relationship and their passion for working on the soaps? Check out what they had to share below.

Wes, you had met Laura originally years ago on Guiding Light.

Wes: Yes, 15 years ago in New York.

And what did you think of her then?

Wes: Well, I was smitten, but I had to keep it to myself.

You had to keep it under wraps, huh?

Wes: Yep!

Laura: I was married then.

Wes: She was pregnant with her second child.

Laura: And he’s a good Kentucky boy.

Wes: Uh-huh! But we would run lines in the green room and I would try very hard to make sure she didn’t catch me staring at her… too often. But we laughed, and had great conversation.

Laura: I would always say, “Wes, will you run lines with me?,” because I would want to run my lines.

Wes: We never had story together, but she always knew I was game to hang out with her for a moment.

It’s good when you’re in a relationship with someone and you can laugh with them. You seem to be able to do that a lot!

Laura: Oh, gosh. I think that’s all we do.

Wes: Yes, yes, yes, yes…

Laura: Like, we belly laugh. It gets to the point where people would think we were ridiculous. We’ll say things and just think it’s the funniest thing ever and people would be like, “You guys have a problem …” and we’re like, “Yeah.” (Laughs)

Laura, and then he comes back into your life years later…

Wes: That’s right, it was Emmy weekend 2017.

Laura: I totally was not expecting it at all. Even when I gave him my number I walked away going “huh…”

You mean you thought he wouldn’t call?

Laura: No, I didn’t feel that… because he hit on me hard. He’ll tell you that.

Wes: I still am hitting on her.

Laura: I remember I walked away quick after he got my number. I was like, “Oh, my God … I gotta go.”

Wes: There was an assertiveness on my part that was for sure 15 years in the making. I did not expect to run into her. I also did not expect for her to tell me that she was recently single. In that split second, it was one of those, “stop the presses!” moments. Like, you need to give me your number, I’m taking you to dinner.

Laura: I go, “Oh, be quiet! Are you like, 32, because I can’t do that.” (Laughs)

Wes: And I said, “Far from it.”

Laura: He’s like, “I’m getting ready to be 40.” And I’m like, “I can do that!”

Then, on top of all of this, Wes, you land a primo role on General Hospital. That of Henrik aka Peter, Cesar Faison’s son.

Wes: Yes, a dream come true.

Laura: I’m going to jump in and say it’s a role that he worked all on his own for. He had to screen test against 8 plus guys, 3 different auditions, 2 different days.

Wes: That’s true.

Laura: I can’t say strong enough that the best actor got the role. Meaning, Wesley is so talented and has the ability to give this character the depth, and emotion, and layers that it needs to tell the story that needs to be told. I just think he’s incredible.

So, did you know from the get-go who you were going to be playing?

Wes: I did not.

Laura: I did! (Laughs)

Wes: I’m thrilled that the writers have been giving me such incredible material to dive into.   Each month that goes by, it becomes more and more complex, and more and more layered and intense. I love the depth… I love the conflicts… I love the humanity… I love the desperation… I love the psychology behind it. It’s a very interesting story and a great journey to tell.

Laura: I was getting ready to say, where you mentally have to go to be the son of Faison and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)! To blend that together is amazing. It’s incredible to watch.

You used to run lines together on Guiding Light. Do you run lines together now on GH? It’s like a full circle moment.

Laura: We do, and we carpool.

Wes: Something we were trying to manifest together. We thought it would be a lot of fun to work together one day.

Laura: The last week we worked, we didn’t. He worked all afternoon. I worked all morning. I was like, “Are they doing this on purpose?” I was so mad! I was like, “Why are you in the afternoon everyday?” (Laughs)

Wes: She lost her chauffeur. (Laughs)

Laura: I did! He always drives us to work. I also love when we both have afternoon calls, because we love having mornings together. So, I didn’t get my morning, nor did I have my chauffeur!

So, two actors can have a good relationship? You see so many Hollywood relationships with actors and they go bust. But that’s not always the case …

Wes: Oh, my God, yes.

Laura: I’m going to say this; I think I can see it being more difficult for daytime

actors, because the work we do is so intense. I know the weeks he’s getting ready to go into, and I’m getting ready to go into. Where we go emotionally and psychologically to tell these stories, on the level that we tell them, as quick as we tell them, you kind of have to become really in a headspace. The fact that we can …

Wes: … the long hours …

Laura: Yes, and exhaustion! You really have to go, “Wow! It’s not about me right now. It’s about us individually as actors.” Thank God, we know the workload. I know what he’s getting ready to go through.

Wes: I have always had so much respect for Laura’s work. On Guiding Light, I’ve always been in awe of what she’s capable of doing. So, the level of respect is obviously there. But also, the understanding whatever it is that you need from a personal assistant in one moment… or a life partner in another moment … or a best friend in moment … or whatever it is in order to get through the day-to-day and the week-to-week, so we can do what we love to do. We know we’re very lucky to have the opportunity to do what we love.

Laura was such a great co-host on my Soap Nation Live! Daytime Emmy Nomination Specials, in particular when she talks about acting. It’s so rewarding to hear the other actors who are guests on the show listening to what Laura has to say about her craft and respecting the hell out of her.

Wes: Without a doubt. You can’t watch her work and not be in awe. It speaks for itself.

Laura: I just love the journey of going to the places that we go; to bleed for it.

Wes: Leave it all out on the floor.

Laura: I know that process. So, when I see another actor that’s bleeding, I just bow to them, because I know what it takes to go there. I know the work that Wesley does. When I see that he’s spent at the end of the day, I’m like, “Babe, I so get it.” So, I can see where it could be really difficult for people that haven’t been there, because it’s a lot of work and you’re spent. It’s hard! For us, that works.

GH Nurses’ Ball 2018 Conclusion: Anna Learns Henrik Is Her Son, Maxie Has Her Son, Ava Wows, Mike & Sonny Duet!

In the most moving and exciting episode of this 2018 GH Nurses’ Ball, all roads lead to the truth about Henrik and how he is really living his life as none other than Peter August (Wes Ramsey).  First, Robert (Tristan Rogers) who has punched out by Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) on stage drags him outside of the ballroom for his part in the cover[up.  Robert is worried about Anna’s (Finola Hughes) safety. Nina (Michelle Stafford) confronts her husband about how long he’s known who Henrik is.  She later figures out why he has been trying to whisk her and Charlotte out of the country.

Onstage Mike (Max Gail) takes a mic, and makes a moment of saying he has Alzheimer’s and then launches into the song he remembers,“The Summer Wind.” As he sings, he imagines being accompanied by a big band as he proceeds to deliver a showstopper.  Suddenly, in reality, Mike is lost and disoriented … scared he stares around at the audience.  Sonny (Maurice Benard) gets up to the stage to help his dad by cluing him into the lyrics.  Sonny sings with Mike and gets him through the song.  They receive a standing ovation.

Ava (Maura West) who is preparing to perform her number comes across a moment between Kiki (Hayley Erin) and Griffin (Matt Cohen) backstage where they are in a hug.  Little does Ms. Jerome know that Griffin was consoling Kiki after her lewd run-in with Dr. Bensch (James DePaiva).   Then it is Maura West, who truly brings down the house for this year’s ball with her Ava’s rendition of “You Don’t Own Me.”  That tune was certainly a nod to all those that Ava feels have wronged her.  Yup! Sonny, Griffin and Kiki we think are some on her list!   Dressed in a white pant suit and accompanied by a bevy of male dancers, West knocked the interpretation of the song out of the park, to make it work for her character and the Nurses’ Ball.

Elsewhere, Maxie (Kristen Storms) has gone into labor, and Peter is right there safely delivering her baby boy. Maxie is taken by paramedics to the hospital, while Peter calls Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) at Maxie’s urging to let him know what happened.  Spinelli has just found out, through Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) that Peter is Henrick!

Anna is walking into a trap on the pier as she waits for Henrick. When he appears, he has no idea that Anna is his mother, and thinks it’s all been a set-up.  He points a gun to eliminate her once and for all, but Anna says she has something to tell him.

The Nurses’ Ball concludes with a touching finale of “Champion” featuring: Epiphany (Sonya Eddy), Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel), Bobbie (Jackie Zeman), Amy (Risa Dorken) and the other nurses.

So, what did you think of the final episode of the GH Nurses’ Ball 2018?  What did you think of the musical performances? Do you think Maxie’s baby will be OK? Will Anna be able to tell Henrik that she is his mom? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
