Brooklyn Rae Silzer Set For A Return To General Hospital As Emma Visits Anna During Spring Break!

The outpouring of love and support shown to the fabulous Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma Drake) did not go unnoticed by GH’s executive producer Frank Valentini.

In fact, Brooklyn is on her way back to General Hospital for a spring break visit when Emma visits her grandma Anna! (Finola Hughes)

ABC Soaps In Depth broke the news, and while all the details are being ironed out, Emma’s visit will span multiple episodes expected to air around March 30th. While Silzer is set to shoot her scenes in the coming weeks.

Valentini told SID, “Yes, we’ve already found an excuse to bring her back!” When viewers last saw Emma, she left Port Charles with her parents Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and headed for their new life in California.

So, are you looking forward to Emma visiting Anna? Do you hope this means there will be plenty of Emma to come. The actress is on recurring status with the soap. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Soooooooo happy

GREAT NEWS……SHE IS A SUPER LITTLE ACTRESS WHO ADDS SO MUCH TO THE SHOW….

Yay!!! I’ve missed her! I miss Patrick, too. Love little miss Brooklyn. Keep finding reasons to bring her back, Frank!

I love this young actress. So happy to have her visit Anna.

She is cute but a spoiled whiner… good actress.

Oh Carmen… .wow.. that is not nice.. why do you not like pretty little talented, charming, adorable Emma?

Yes I totally agree with you Carmen, Emma is a spoiled rotten brat.

Excited to see her, but a little gimicky, no?? Not sure what kind of compelling storyline will come from this.

a wonderful little actress. I’ve missed her on the show.

Stop fishing for replies posting nonsense like that. .it’s not even funny. .you’re acting bratty

Davlestev1, I totally agree!

Awwww. She’s just a child. So sweet.
Besides, every kid has a little bit of brattiness in her/him. ‘Tis the nature of the beast, so to speak. Lol.
I think Brooklyn is a true performer and a cute little button.

Best news from GH in a long long time!

Already? She just left! And I agree with you, Carmen! I’ve never seen the appeal of this obnoxious child.

Is it really necessary to be so rude about a little kid??? For some of us she is a ray of sunshine on a show that is nothing but mobsters and violence.

As much as I enjoy Emma, I don’t see what she can contribute, storywise

Anna has no family left in Port Charles. Emma gives her family to interact with, which is a good enough reason for me! This show also needs some light and warmth. Emma brings that.

I would still consider Mac and Robert her family, but I get your point

Well robbie, one of GH’s weak points is they dont have enough real family moments. They fail to connect the family dots like Y&R. I have no problem with Emma popping in for a bit to be seen with Anna and keeping Emma alive on the show. She will also head to Spoon Island and its loaded with kids now so they will get into something there.

Great news!

Think that IF there is to be a Nurses’ Ball that Robin needs to be there! There is no reason why Robin still can not visit from time to time – her Mom as well as Uncle Mac as well as Maxie [who were as close as sisters ] could be are still in PC. They did usher her off fast with Jason Thompson’s exit for the show. And with Tristan Rogers coming and going her father will be there too. Besides, the fact that PC has always been home to her – Yes she left town with her husband to start a new job and a life with him. However, People still go on vacations and visit family! Since Robin has been taken away from hers [against her own will —- there is much explanation to some people that were not present at the Wedding / farewell party.
I knew that Emma would be back since they mentioned it was going to happen during Jason Thompson’s exit interview – nothing new -besides I watched the extended cut of the Wedding/Goodbye episode where Anna did give Emma a plane ticket for her to come and visit . … so WE ALL KNEW it was just a matter of when she was coming… I imagine May Sweeps [ another attempt to bring in those ratings ! The way Frank’s brain works … anything for a ratings stunt! If he was smart since Robin & Robert brought in over a half million viewers last time he would bring them both in again as well! 😉

Oh Wait …… this is from Lynn Herring she addressed the fans ….
FROM LYNN: “Thank you all for thinking of me ….. and Lucy, of course, it means so much! I am loving ranching and Museum-ing (is that a word?) right now. I do miss playing Lucy but I am not interested in a line here or there or a day once in awhile. All the years of happiness and satisfaction I had playing Lucy are too important to me, and I would never want to belittle all the great memories I have of her adventures. If Frank and the writers need Lucy for a story or a firm connection in the show then I will jump out of my saddle and come running for sure.
P.S. Not sure if General Hospital is doing the Nurses Ball again this year and if they are, if Lucy is even included. You will be the first to know when I find out! Thank you for all your interest, support and fun comments! Got to head back outside. The river washed out many of our fences and the cows are taking advantage. smile emoticon XO”

So as of now …. There is no Lucy Coe! Which means Someone else would MC ?

Personally, I think that this show has gotten away from what the Nurses’ Ball is about. It used to air in June during HIV/AIDS awareness . Not coincide with Sweeps.

*And can we get back to General Hospital having a Cast at the hospital with PEOPLE we know! Everytime I see a Doc on staff . I can not stand asking . “Who the heck is that guy?!?! ” I have been watching for over 4 decades!! The show used to be about a Daytime Medical Drama with a mob element to it . It was the lives of the staff inside and out. Their families. I can count the # of the hospital staff on my hand . It is getting sad! 🙁 Hire a medical & Storyline consultant . Grab some past Doc/ nurses from a DEFUNCT soap Port Charles / GH: Night shift (they had Interns on that show)

*Ok, sorry was getting a little off subject … but it was still GH! [ Sorry a little bit passionate about a show I would really not like to go off the air. We have new ppl in charge at ABC and gosh only knows what the means for our only soap.
I know that Wendy Riche does want to return .. Would be thrilled over the Moon if that happened. GH won 5 Outstanding Best Daytime Drama awards. with her. Sri Rao wants to be one of the writers – he was HW on Season 2 of GH: Night shift .

GH Just needs something … because something still is not working!

Nina could host the NB. They need to refocus on the cause and bring in some names to spice up the event and bring real attention to the show and AIDS.

Nina could host the NB.

Timmm, they should Bring back Wendy Riche! Then perhaps they should think about a NB.. Till then. The NB a thing of the past.,

If GH really wanted Emma/Brooklyn on the show full-time, they could make it happen. Have her parents send her to school in PC or maybe her parents are going on a sabbatical and they send her to her grandmother.

She just got her mom back. Niether Robin or Emma would want to be apart again. They’re mother and daughter and had been taken away from each other for too long. Unless they recast Robin and Patrick who come back to live in Port Charles…which doesn’t appear to be happening at this point, I think Emma will just be a frequent visitor.

They are throwing the kid a bone and Anna doesnt have anyone on the show now. Kim is off directing and we all know about Jason. This is the best case scenario for now.

Brooklyn’s sister is now on Y&R. IT is now her sister’s chance to shine. Londyn has been there for Brooklyn since she started on GH. Think this is a mutual decisiin. NO ONE pushed her out

I absolutely welcome her presence on the show. She is a really good actress and a ray of sunshine. I want to see the character in scenes with Roger Howarth’s Franco. Maybe she could use a little art therapy to help her adjust to the many tumultuous changes in her young life.

This little sweetie can act better than two of the police officers currently working for the PCPD!

What a lovely young talented actress! I will be so happy to see her interacting with Finola and other Gh cast members. She really can hold her own. The scenes between Brooklyn and Finola always warm my heart.

I agree Todd! I can’t wait to see her interact with Finola. Heart warming indeed.

She’s such a beautiful little girl. Brings charm and innocence to the show. Looking forward to her return but at the same evokes a wave of nostalgia for Patrick.

Geez, I can understand how some could care less if Emma made a visit to PC. But the negative tone some have used towards the character, which has to rub off on the actor because she is still a child after all, is really a black eye on the adults making the comments. I know, you are free to say whatever you want, yada, yada, yada…but as I’ve said before with this freedom comes great responsibility as per Spider-Man’s uncle.

@Rose….My objection to this character is that she has been constantly painted as the “second coming of Robin” herself, and that is just not the case. Whilst Robin was a deeply thoughtful, intelligent, perceptive and mature child, Emma is just hammy and whiny, never more so than when she was BFFs with Sabs the Babysitter….that made me grit my teeth on every insufferable occasion those two were in the same scene. Even when that storyline finally ended, Emma stayed annoying. Hence when she left with her parents on their HEA, I cheered on the preservation of the Scorpio family unit, but I was quite frankly glad to see her go. Now it is less than two months since that departure, and already she’s back? Believe me, I love all things Anna, but she has plenty to do other than play granny to this kiddo. Maybe further down the line it would have been more palatable to welcome this child on a return visit to Port Charles, but it’s simply too soon. That is not being nasty, just honest. I largely feel the same about Spencer…that little dude drives me up the wall, too. Unless a child actor has an integral purpose to a storyline, like Jake recently has been, then they should be infrequently seen and not necessarily heard.

But Shay you haven’t been what I call mean with Emma/Brooklyn like some others. It all boils down to viva la difference with characters for all of us, and how we express it. And to mention another difference which is probably like fingernails on a chalk board for you I don’t mind Sabrina for instance.

I never really saw Emma as “the second coming of Robin.” Just as herself, and for my taste, hopefully not like Robin. I do think that Spencer, and Josslyn characters can be a little too precocious for me at times. Liz’s kids are well behaved in comparison, and I like Faith on Y&R.

Well, I’m glad you knew I wasn’t being a meanie, Rose! I realize that sometimes my critiques are a bit too pointed for your taste, and that’s fine…..we understand each other. I simply wished to expound upon my comment as to why I’m not an Emma fan. When I was referring to her being considered “the second coming of Robin,” I meant that there were a number of times various characters remarked about her great resemblance to her mother, which I never could see and found to be a cloying notion….from my perspective they share nothing in common, either in demeanor or physical traits. Furthermore, I believe that Ron C.’s bizarre misuse of GH’s pint-sized players in adult scenarios have also put me off them even more than would normally be the case. Due to that still-lingering image, I’m content to just have the “little people” lurking in the background for the time being, unless there is an important purpose for their presence front and center. And as I said, if there were to be a visit from Miss Emma, I think it should have been delayed for awhile….she really did just leave Port Charles! Lastly, I agree about Liz’s boys, although I actually enjoyed the previous Joss the most of all the kiddies….she was a laugh riot and wise beyond her years….not to mention very believable as the offspring of both Jax and Carly. I still miss that girl!!!!

Shay…Carly and Josslyn…can’t argue, like mother like daughter. Wait until she becomes a little older, she’s going to be even more than a handful. Forgot to add I did sorta like Spencer’s give and take with his uncle Victor(?).

@Rose…..Oh, yes…..I certainly hope Joss will be a real chip off the old Carly once those teen years commence……that will be too much fun to watch! And just in case I gave the impression that I don’t enjoy children or child actors, I must add that I’m absolutely besotted with the little twin chaps that portray young “Master George Crawley” on Downton Abbey….they are the spitting image of their late “father,” Matthew. Perfect casting! (I’m viewing a day-long Downton marathon on my local PBS station as we speak…..all episodes of the last season leading up to next week’s series finale. I’m so sad thinking about it….) At any rate, I did find Spencer bearable with “Uncle Victor,” but then again, perhaps it was because I was so thrilled to see Thaao Penghlis back in Port Charles for what turned out to be a far-too-brief reprisal of his iconic Cassadine character.

Always the case, GH brings actors back like Thaao or Tristan, tugs at our hearts and BOOM, they are gone!

So true, Timmm….and worse yet, then other soaps snap up these iconic actors so they aren’t available for return engagements to Port Charles!

I hope they recast Patrick and Robin down the road so that it would make sense to keep Emma around. I suggest Michael Muhney and Elizabeth Hendrickson. I believe Kimberly has said goodbye to the role given that Jason Thompson is now over at Y&R and she seems to have plenty of directing opportunities.

I am 100 percent against a recast of either but you do bring up two of the best for that possibility.

Speaking of… I noticed they have a new actress AGAIN playing Joss… looks older than Emma…. hope this one isn’t such a nasty little brat.

Love Emma and the talent she brings to the show…also love Nickolas son, I can never remember his name… but he is on the mini series The People vs. OJ Simpson and plays Rob K…

Emma coming back for a visit is great. Remember, Emma may be a little bit of a brat, but this is a professional actress portraying her and by reading some of the negative comments it appears that she is doing a really great acting job.

You must be a real miserable person. Brooklyn is a little cutey and has developed into a good actress. I’m glad she’s coming back for a visit.

Seems the Liz trolls must have dropped in with a little more of their misery…against a young girl this time. Don’t say it’s not the actor but the character when your dealing with a pre-teen. They haven’t had time to develop the ” thick skin” they wii need to endure comments like some of these we’ve seen here…and from what I’ve read can be far worse on other sites. Sad, sad people if this is the only way you know how to give an opinion.

Emma is a Scorpio and Scorpios belong in Port Charles more than half the characters currently gracing the screen.

I think it’s great that Emma will be back! I don’t find her bratty at all. She seems like most children in her age group (9/10), maybe even a little bit better considering all the drama and heartache she has gone through in her young life. After reading some of these other posts, I really hope that the criticizing ones are coming from children and not adults, because that is just not cool.

Not once in her entire screen life has Emma been a brat. Anything but…she’s beautiful, loving, respectful completely loving…and was played to perfection by Brooklyn.

Well said…….Thank You!! 🙂
