Crystal Chappell & Joanna Johnson Return To B&B For Short Story Arc!

L. Bohm & K Hutchins

L. Bohm & K Hutchins

Finally fans will get to see Crystal Chappell and Joanna Johnson together again as same-sex couple Dani and Karen on The Bold and the Beautiful!

According to CBS Soaps In Depth, the duo will return for a short story arc beginning January 3rd. Will it be to help their daughter, Caroline (Linsey Godfrey)? Or, something else?

As fans know, the much heralded arrival of Chappell to be the other half of Johnson’s Karen Spencer had to be cut short, when Joanna ended up having to put all her energy into the new primetime drama, Emily Owens M.D. in which she was the co-executive producer.

Emily Owens M.D. starred Mamie Gummer, the daughter of movie legend Meryl Streep.  However, the series was just canceled by the CW,  which now would hopefully free up Johnson to come back to B&B for a bit and to play out future story with Chappell.  So, are you looking forward to seeing Crystal and Joanna on B&B? What do you think will be their short story arc? Weigh-in!

Who?

Haha! In the few months I’ve been watching the show, I think I’ve seen (only) one scene with them, so at least I know who they are.

Yes, I’m looking forward to seeing them. I was just thinking about them the other day. Hopefully they can talk some sense into Caroline. She and Rick are moving pretty fast. Or maybe stuff happened off-screen. And I look forward to scenes with Bill. Sorry her show got cancelled, but glad she can be on B&B.

Why do you make this such a big story? B&B abandoned this story MONTHS and MONTHS ago, as I knew they would. I get that one half had a commitment to another show which couldn’t be avoided. But they dropped the other half too, when they could have kept her on screen for appearances. So what gives? Why report a short arc of two characters that will be nothing and go nowhere?

I have such low hopes, that’s pretty obvious. I just don’t understand why others have high ones.

who cares? Unless they are going to put Hope on the back burner there isnt much hope for anyone else’s future, pun intended.

Not sure what a short story arc is but I’m Always happy to see Crystal on my screen. I hope her story line has some substance and doesnt follow the line of over-involved parent with no life of their own as this show seems to be fond of. Chappell got chops! Use them B&B : )

Well they said their was going to be a new man in Brooke’s life. Lol

Anything that Crystal Chappell is involved in is fresh, exciting, explosive and brilliant. I know we’ll be in for a huge treat. She has the ability to stand out from the rest of the cast, whether its Days, BnB and whatever she’s involved in. She walked onto Days in 09 and raised the dead…oops 😡 Then she left and it broke our hearts. But she’s BACK BABY with a BANG on BnB! 🙂

Mark, take your head out of CC’s ass. You are doing her no favors. This is a blip of a story arc on a show that has no interest in focusing on any other characters but Steffi, Hope, & Liam. CC is a good actress, not the second coming…

WTF? Keep your comments to yourself plz!

I wish it were long, instead of a short story arc… but I’m happy I’ll be seeing Crystal on TV again. I’ve so missed her presence there. I’m glad Joanna is back, but I will never understand why B&B had someone as brilliant as Crystal sitting on the bench during the months JJ was gone. Just doesn’t make sense to me.

FINALLY!!!!! been missing CC on my TV screen, maybe my FF button get as much of a work now that they’ll actually be a storyline worth watching. I’ve been soooooo over this whole Liam/Steffy/Hope mess.

I’m happy they’re back. Didn’t think JJ should have left in the first place. I could tell Emily Owens would get canceled before it even started. What I’m not happy about is a SHORT story arc. What?! There was so much hype about their story when it first started and we got like 4 or 5 episodes before JJ left. Then we waited all this time for them to use Crystal, who was only in one episode without JJ, only for them to finally use her now that JJ came back for a short story arc?? I want a LONG story arc, with or without JJ! Crystal’s the only reason I started watching B&B. I was so excited to see her on tv again after Days. So disappointed in B&B.

Can’t wait to see Crystal again. Sorry it’s a short arc. Do you not know you have had the two greatest daytime actresses ever, on your show, Susan Flannery and Crystal Chappell. We have lost Susan and you have been wasting CC’s beauty and her tremendous acting ability. The story line for her is good but it has to be developed with or without JJ. She is a valuable asset to B&B. DO NOT WASTE IT !!!. I will never miss an episode as long as she’s on B&B.

Let’s all get real here folks, it’s Daytime…players come and go and so do our favorite actors and actresses, whether we like it or not! So many of us have followed both Crystal’s and Joanna’s careers for years, so having them on the screen to tell this important story is what we’ve looked forward to. Whether B&B decides to tell it now or later, let’s be thankful that the idea is still on the canvas. We’ve proved time and again that we’re not a very patient lot, so if they tease us with this story we’ll be expecting more. They have many ways to go with the Dani/Karen couple and time will tell if they have staying power. Based on their fan bases…I say yes! I’ll be watching and enoying whatever drama these beauties bring back to my screen, it’s going to be exciting…I have a feeling!

Welcome back Crystal and Joanna…☮♡☺xo▽♀♀✩ツ♫

I am soo ready to see more of the “Caroline’s Two Mommies” story. Crystal Chappell, Joanna Johnson and Linsey Godfrey are all AMAZING actresses and I know they will rock this story. Danielle and Karen have been living their lives in private for years. It’s time family and friends are enlightened and accept them as a loving and devoted couple. I can’t wait to see more DaniKa on my tv screen !!!

Awesome news, it’s about time to see their faces and story.
