Rafe and Sami urge Rafe2 to admit the DiMeras hired him, but he remains uncooperative. They hit another dead end when they are unable to connect the imposter’s bankcard to EJ and Stefano. Rafe thinks it’s time to call in the police. EJ tells Stefano he’s pulling out of the shadier aspects of their family business; he wants to keep his nose clean. Stefano accepts this, but is not happy. At the same time, Taylor is torn about reporting EJ’s illegal dealings and culpability in Arianna’s death. She runs into Nicole and angrily declares she knows she’s blackmailing EJ. Nicole warns Taylor it’s none of her business – stay out of her marriage! Nicole orders her sister to leave town and then huffs off. Everything finally clicks into place for Taylor and she realizes Nicole has found out about her and EJ. Meanwhile, Nicole warns EJ about his priorities, and later tells Chloe she’s going to destroy Taylor. At the same time, Taylor confides in Lexie, and then calls EJ, saying they need to talk. Chloe and Quinn make love. Afterwards, Chloe has clearly warmed up to Quinn, and they agree to try dating. Chloe is excited about her new potential romance.

Chad surprises Abigail at the hospital. He was hoping they could spend their lunch breaks together all summer. Abigail is touched. Lexie mentions this to Stefano, who privately disapproves. He has Chad’s lunch schedule rearranged at DiMera Enterprises. Chad calls his father on it and warns he’ll see Abigail whether Stefano likes it or not. Carly pops a pill and puts the bottle back in her purse. She panics when Jennifer reaches into her purse, wanting to use her friend’s cell phone. Carly is relieved when Jennifer only finds Carly’s passport under her real name, Katerina von Leuschner. The two friends reminisce and have a heart-to-heart. Jennifer asks Carly how she feels about her dating Daniel. Carly lies, saying she thinks it’s great. Later, Carly goes to the hospital where she and Abigail collide. Abigail finds her meds.

To gather information on Rafe2, Sami calls Bo and asks about her “husband’s” recent behavior at work. Afterwards, she and Rafe try once more to get through to the imposter, who remains mum. Sami and Rafe finally settle on a plan. They arrive back in Salem, arm-in-arm, much to the shock of Will and Gabi. Earlier, Will comforts Gabi, who’s upset about the way “Rafe” left town. He assures her they are on solid ground, no matter what happens between his mother and her brother. Taylor tells EJ that Nicole knows about their relationship. He is stunned. Taylor also says she’s decided not to tell the police about his previous involvement in the drug trade. A grateful EJ swears he’s changed. Taylor admits she wants to be with him. Abigail asks Carly why she has medication for someone named Katerina von Leuschner. Edgy Carly claims it’s for her patient, and she lectures Abigail about doctor-patient confidentiality. Bo interrupts and expresses his concern for Carly since she never returns his phone calls. She puts up a good front, but he walks away more troubled than ever. Carly decides to take more pills. Vivian receives a text message from Stefano’s phone and eagerly goes to meet him at the Cheatin’ Heart. Kate shows up and plays head games with her before revealing she sent the text herself. She warns Vivian to stay out of her life. Vivian swears she’ll still get her revenge on Kate. Rafe’s impersonation of his imposter does not go smoothly with Will and Gabi, but he and Sami are determined to go ahead with their plan. Sami lets a shocked Stefano know that she and Rafe are back together. A flustered Stefano immediately calls EJ to inform him that their imposter is back. He is unaware it’s the real deal. EJ heads straight home to Stefano and Rafe bursts into the room, secretly wearing a wire. At the loft, Sami listens, hoping EJ and Stefano will implicate themselves. Taylor tells EJ she wants to be with him, thinking she knows everything there is about his past. Later, Taylor informs Nicole that she is not leaving town, and she hates her sister for what she’s done to EJ. The battle lines are quickly drawn between the two sisters, and they get ready for a major showdown. Carly spies Abigail and Melanie in a hushed conversation. Carly interrogates Abigail, worried she was gossiping about the medication she found. Abigail swears she hasn’t told anyone about her patient, Katerina. Meanwhile, Jennifer confesses to Daniel that Lawrence raped her. He questions her about that time in her life and Jennifer talks about her days at boarding school with “Katerina.” Abigail overhears and realizes Carly is Katerina! At the same time, Carly overdoses in her office. Adrienne asks Dario to deposit some money for the Cheatin’ Heart. He’s tempted to use the money to pay off Mike, the bookie, but ultimately decides against it. On the pier, Mike corners Dario and demands payment soon. Dario smoothly talks him into giving him more time, but Melanie comes by and misreads the situation. Fearing for Dario, she whacks Mike over the head, knocking him unconscious. Dario freaks. She just ruined everything! Will and Gabi make plans for the prom. He reveals he booked a room for them but they agree to play the night by ear – no pressure. From the loft, Sami listens in on Rafe’s wired conversation with EJ and Stefano, hoping they’ll say something that can put them in prison. Caroline interrupts Sami, having heard she and Rafe are back together. She demands to know why. Sami has a hard time covering and in a moment of frustration, lashes out at her grandmother. A hurt Caroline leaves. Meanwhile, Stefano tacitly warns EJ not to incriminate himself in front of Rafe2. Kate interrupts and is stunned to see Rafe. Stefano gets her out of the room while EJ grills Rafe about why he’s back. Rafe realizes he doesn’t know how his doppelganger would act and worries he’ll give himself away. He makes a quick exit before EJ can figure out the truth.  Taylor admits to Nicole she loves EJ. She tells her that she knows all about EJ being the former head of the drug ring and that Troy went rogue and killed Arianna. Nicole is taken aback, not knowing any of this, but covers. She realizes EJ has not told Taylor what he did to Rafe. She chooses to say nothing; instead telling Taylor to leave town or Nicole will send EJ to prison. Alone, Taylor worries about what she’s going to do. Abigail is disturbed by the news that Carly and Katerina are the same person but doesn’t reveal this to her mom or Daniel. Jennifer goes with Daniel to see Victor and sees a photo of Rebecca. Noting how beautiful she was, Jennifer privately fears she is not in the same league as Rebecca and Chloe.

Carly regains consciousness after her overdose. Abigail confronts her about the pills. Carly admits the pills are for her, but lies that she is very ill and doesn’t want her family to know. Abigail agrees to keep Carly’s secret. Relieved she’s dodged a bullet; Carly is determined to stop taking drugs but decides to keep them for an emergency. Dario is furious with Melanie for knocking out Mike. Melanie swears she was only trying to help. Brady comes by and they are forced to explain all. When Mike comes to, Brady pays him off. Melanie hugs Brady as a jealous Dario watches.

Sami has a nightmare about being in bed with the imposter. The real Rafe comforts her. Later, EJ comes by to drop off Johnny and Sydney. Sami puts on a show as Rafe listens from the bedroom. Sami plays with EJ as he subtly tries to figure out why the “imposter” is back. Later, Rafe has an emotional reunion with Johnny and Sydney. Johnny thinks Rafe is back to his old self, and Rafe is forced to cover. Alone, Rafe tells Sami they need to move on to the next step of their plan. EJ returns to Stefano, who suddenly realizes why “Rafe” has returned. Chloe tells Maggie things are looking up for her. She’s earning money teaching music lessons and she’s met a new guy. Maggie warns her to take things slowly when it comes to dating. Meanwhile, Quinn continues to secretly run the drug business he bought from EJ. Chloe meets up with him, and he suggests they go on their first real date. Heeding Maggie’s warning, Chloe has second thoughts, but Quinn swears he’d be good for her. Carly fights withdrawal. She invites Daniel to dinner, but he already has plans with Jennifer. They instead make plans to have lunch with Melanie. Abigail asks Carly how she’s doing off Carly’s lie that she is ill. Carly continues the lie, but Jennifer comes upon them. Abigail covers and goes. Jennifer asks about Daniel’s late wife Rebecca. Carly can see Jennifer is feeling insecure about how she stacks up to Rebecca and Chloe. Carly stuffs her own feelings and assures Jennifer she has nothing to worry about. A grateful Jennifer thanks her friend and leaves. Carly has a sexual fantasy of Daniel and realizes she’s falling for him.  Maggie, encouraged by Jennifer, brings a Greek casserole to Victor. She admits she thinks their separation is wrong, and tells him he’s making a big mistake. However, he insists he’ll only hurt her and sticks to his decision to stay away. An equally stubborn Maggie refuses to give up on them. Chad once again warns Stefano not to meddle in his relationship with Abigail. Later, Chad confides to Abigail that aside from Stefano’s controlling nature, Chad appreciates that his father treats him like an adult.

Days of our Lives Concludes Special Episode In Loving Memory of Bill Hayes

You needed the hankies for Wednesday’s February 21st episode of Days of our Lives in more ways then one. The highly-touted show featured newly created flashbacks of a young Tom (Zach Chyz) and Alice Horton (Sydney Kathrann Smith) eventually moving into to their dream house.

But as viewers saw in recent episodes, the Horton house was burned to the ground thanks to an unnamed arsonist. Today, marked the first time that Doug (the late Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) returned to see the ashes of the home they all lived in at one time or another and where they all share so many memories with the Horton family.

In addition, Leo (Greg Rikaart) decides to do a story for the Spectator on the Horton family and visited the rubble, where Julie recited the family history and the ups and downs, and yes, some of the zany plots the Horton children and grandchildren found themselves in over the years.

There was also use of flashbacks where characters such as: Julie, Marlena (Deidre Hall), Maggie, and perhaps most touching, Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), recalled times with Tom (the late MacDonald Carey) and Alice (the late Frances Reid). Knowing that Bill Hayes has left us, and then preparing ourselves for which will soon be the airing of his last episode, made this all the more emotional.

And, at the conclusion of the episode, and after the final flashback of young Tom and Alice Horton, Days of our Lives paid tribute to Bill Hayes and dedicated the episode to him. A title card came up that expressed: “In loving memory” of Bill Hayes with the touching words from Hamlet, “Good night, sweet prince; and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”

Meanwhile. on the Hayes’ Instagram account, Susan Seaforth Hayes shared behind-the-scenes photos from today’s episode accompanied by her words, “Thank you for loving this lovable cast. We all, fans and actors, are a family! Onward to stories about us, eh?”

So, what did you think about today’s episode of Days of our Lives being dedicated and in honor of Bill Hayes? What did you think about the flashbacks from the past and the newly created ones as part of the story? Comment below.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Jada Reveals Everett Is Her Ex-Husband Bobby Stein

On Monday’s February 19th episode of Days of our Lives, viewers are getting closer to the root of the story of Everett Lynch (Blake Berris).  There has been speculation for months as to just how the talented Blake Berris’ new character would be … a good guy, or a bad guy. But, what if he is actually both?

In story, Jada (Elia Cantu) and Rafe (Galen Gering) are at the Brady Pub and she comes upon on Everett with Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and freaks out. She reveals that Everett is her ex-husband Bobby Stein! Everett denies even knowing Jada and thinks she is mentally unstable or something. Jada even shows him a photo of her with him (sans his beard) from her phone. Everett throws it off as everyone in the world has a doppelgänger.

Jada accuses Everett of gaslighting her. She goes into the back-story of when she discovered he cheated on her, and she served him with divorce papers, but he turned into a “ghost.” Everett stands by his claim that the two of them were never married.

Stephanie flashes back to Everett revealing he had retrograde amnesia when he initially came out of his coma citing maybe that’s the reason he doesn’t remember Jada.  Next, Jada goes off on him saying she can tell by the look in his eyes, he knows exactly who she is.  Jada warns Stephanie to not get ‘sandbagged’ by this guy any longer. She then threatens Everett that he will be found out and get what he deserves. Next, she torms out of the pub as Rafe follows her.

Alone with Everett, Stephanie becomes upset having a few more startling realizations. First she asks Everett, “Are you really not Bobby Stein?” He admits to having gaps in his memory, but not years of relationships or marrying someone.

Then, in another flashback, Stephanie remembers Everett telling her he bought an engagement ring before his accident. Then, Stephanie recalls a conversation with Jada how she found a large credit card charge from a jewelry store and that Bobby hadn’t bought anything for her in several months.

Stephanie is shocked, and tells Everett if Jada is telling the truth, and he’s really Bobby Stein, than she’s actually the other woman!  Next, Stephanie decides to leave, while Everett says this makes no sense, and they should talk about.

So, what do you think of this story … that it appears Bobby Stein is also Everett Lynch? What do you think will eventually be revealed? Comment below.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: The Iconic Horton House Burns to the Ground; Harris Clings to Life After Being Shot

There was plenty of evil intent on Monday’s February 13th episode of Days of our Lives.  First, fans were not happy that the series chose to burn to a crisp the beloved Horton home that has been the centerpiece of the show since 1965.

The Horton house is where Tom (MacDonald Carey) and Alice Horton (Frances Reid) lived and raised their family for decades. All of the Horton family Christmas ornament hangings have been held in that set, and so much more.

In story, a masked man pours gasoline all over the inside of the Horton living room then sets it on fire and exits. When the fire alarm goes off, Chad (Billy Flynn) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) come downstairs to find the place torched. In short order, Doug (the late Bill Hayes) and Julie, Chad and his children, all make it to safety outside and watch the iconic home burn.

Photo: JPI

Julie is overcome with emotion. She cries out about all the history there is in the home as firefighters work to extinguish the fire. Doug tells Julie that the important thing is that they’re all safe, but Julie watches almost half her life go up in smoke!  Meanwhile, Thomas (Cary Christopher) asks Chad about the pictures of his mommy! Chad is about to respond his son, but gets a call with a voice which has been altered saying. “Maybe next time you’ll listen.”

Any Days of our Lives fans, we are sure, had trouble with the decision to torch the Horton home. Hopefully, as previewed, this will give Julie at least a story as she is determined to rebuild the home in upcoming episodes.

Elsewhere, there were gunshots and wounds and a near-death situation for Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) after he was shot. Ava (Tamara Braun) finds Harris outside the Bistro, bleeding out. She flashes back to Harris telling her that he loves her.

Photo: JPI

Tripp, Wendy (Victoria Grace) and Stefan (Brandon Barash) come upon Ava and Harris. Next, Tripp goes into doctor mode.  Ava cries that this wasn’t supposed to happen. Stefan asks what she meant by that and she responds, “nothing.” When Rafe (Galen Gering) and Jada (Elia Cantu) arrive on the scene, Rafe gets a call about the shooting at the Brady Pub.  Later, they check Harris’ room and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) reveals he thinks Clyde is responsible for the shooting and that he was coming after him.

Photo: JPI

Outside the bistro, as the paramedics arrive, Tripp loses Harris’ pulse and starts chest compressions. After awhile, they get Harris to breath again and he is taken away.

So what did you think about the torching of the Horton home? Did it upset you? With Steve Burton exiting Days of our Lives on-screen, which was originally believed to be in the spring, will Harris make a full recovery? Comment below.
