While not returning to season 22 of Dancing with the Stars, the reigning pro champion, Derek Hough is returning to his role as Noah West on ABC’s Nashville.

According to E Online, Hough is set to reprise his role as the co-star of Juliette Barnes  (Hayden Panettiere) biopic on Patsy Cline in mutliple episodes.  When Noah was last on the canvas he was hanging out with Juliette, when Avery (Jonathan Jackson) learned of her pregnancy and the baby daddy got jealous of Mr. West.

There is no word yet on just how Noah will return in storyline, but it would seem to reteam Houghwith Hayden Panettiere, one would suspect.  Noah was nowhere to be found during the biopic premiere, will that reason be revealed?

Nashville‘s fourth season returns Wedneday night, March 16 at 10PMET/PT with the pick-up of the highly-anticipated nuptials of Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten).

Glad to learn Derek Hough is returning to Nashville? Might Noah make a play for Juliette’s heart this time out? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

I’m with you, Janet. Not a fan of Mr. Hough. But, then again, he appears to love himself enough for all of us.

Maybe the Nashville producers are hoping his story arc will give the show a little bumped in the ratings – enough so that ABC will give the country soap a fifth season. I like Derek and Nashville — I hope the show is renewed! And I hope that Derek returns to DWTS 23.

I am with you Anthony. This spring season will be key for NASHVILLE. Seems the series is always rebooting because of something or other. That upsets storylines. The arcs start and finish and then we start over in new directions so very quickly.
