On Sunday’s edition of After Buzz TV’s weekly Days of our Lives recap show, Dishin DAYS, hosts: Tony Moore and James Lott Jr. welcomed On-Air On-Soaps Michael Fairman as special guest host.

Fairman was filling in for Mark J. Freeman, who was off hosting the Flynn at the Falls event, featuring DAYS star Billy Flynn (Chad).  During the recap show which spotlighted the episodes airng from September 28th through October 2nd, several key storylines were bantered about:  Paige’s (True O’Brien) funeral and the performances of Kassie DePaiva (Eve), Casey Moss (JJ) and A Martinez (Eduardo), who will be the next victim of the necktie serial killer later this weeek where everyone the consensus was that it will turn out to be Will Horton (Guy Wilson), and the mysterious mental illness that seems to be destroying the mind and memory of the beloved Caroline Brady (Peggy McKay).

In addition, the recap show featured a discussion of how Salem’s Bicencential celebration may play out, how Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) return will figure into the equation, what will happen with Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove), and how coming up shortly Ciara  (Lauren Boles) and Chase (Connor Kalopsis) will be SORAS’d right before the viewers eyes.

Watch the latest installment of Dishin DAYS after the jump,  and let us know if you agree with some of the views expressed during it, and what you think should happen on the latest stories with your favorites from Salem!

Kassie DePavia, “1000 claps”. Man I wish Days had did right by this woman. I hope she books another soap real soon, talent like that should be seen on a daily basis.

I’m so disappointed that all we’ve seen of Peter Reckell is him in a cell being tortured. I think most Days’ longtime viewers like myself wanted to see him reunited with Hope and Ciara sooner than later. This is being dragged out and he’ll probably end up back in town with his family for what one episode. So disappointing to Days’ viewers – really a waste of good talent.

I agree, Bonnie. Watch Bo show up right after Hope’s wedding, well…unless the killer gets to Aidan first.

didnt watch the segment but gotta say in general lovn days big time!!!!…BUT…my only beef is the introduction of days new generaion was at the cost of the last ‘ new’ generation of salemites. the last arc with jj/ paige/ kyle was hastily cut short in the mid of an exciting drug undercover operation. paige was just getting good, kyle was a hot bad boy and jj wanted justice! in the midst of paige s death viewers are really yet to see jj grieve. im scares we will see even less of jj now because of the new young crop, and jj is my favorite days character!

I had to watch since Michael Fairman and his great biceps were on it, and that they are discussing Days of Our Lives.

I really enjoyed this discussion with Tony, James, and Michael. So fun to watch and hear the theories of what will happen, the newbies, the murder, the returns, the 50th, etc.

I loved hearing Tony’s response to what will happen to the gay storyline, with Will, Paul and Sonny. Will Will die? And, what all will happen with Paul as Sonny is temporarily in Europe. It does feel like DAYS may abandon the gay storyline, and I would not be pleased with this at all if this were the case. I get that actors come and go, Freddie is returning briefly and that maybe, Guy may be on his way out. But, we do have Paul, we can certainly have Sonny return again, too. I share Tony’s concerns with DAYS and how the gay storyline, will be handled after the handful of years this has been a very careful and thought out presentation of Sonny & Will. I hope Will is not killed off. However, if that does happen, I will continue to watch DAYS. I just don’t want to see DAYS completely abandon any of the gay storylines. Paul could certainly be put into story with someone new, there’s great potential for Paul. I would love to see Tori return, too. I’m glad Tony spoke to this, because it is concerning, that with all the big returns, the 50th approaching, the new kids on the block (aging to teenagers), that Will, Sonny, and Paul will be phased out. I hope DAYS will be mindful, and keep in mind that they worked very hard to tell these stories revolving around the love story with Sonny & Will. I guess we all will have to wait and see what transpires with Will on Friday’s episode. And, like I said, there’s major story and potential to continue to spin-off Paul in a new love story with someone else… a new character.
Loved this radio show with Tony, James and special guest star, Michael Fairman.

P.S. will definitely miss Lauren Boles as Ciara Brady. I loved seeing her in charge of that monopoly game with Chase… very telling.

I too am very disappointed to see Lauren Boles leave the show. She is terrific. I wish her well in the future. I certainly hope she will keep acting. She’s a very talented young lady.

I too will be very disappointed if the gay characters get pushed aside as Days moves forward. I started watching Days the week of Will and Sonny’s wedding. I had never seen the show before and had no idea their wedding was taking place. The week after OLTL’s last broadcast, I started watching Y&R. I gave it about two years and never really connected with it. So, I thought I’d give Days a try. From the first episode I saw, I felt the production value and pace are more like what I’m used to and enjoy. I feel the introduction of serious trouble in their marriage came too soon after the wedding. I wish they could have worked through their problems. I know Freddie Smith left and many people don’t like Guy Wilson. Still, I hope these characters will remain apart of the community. They don’t have to be in front burner story lines. But, they are part of the town. Since Paul is John’s son, I hope he isn’t going anywhere. I hope he can have a new relationship. I like the idea of one of these characters becoming a moral compass like AMC’s Bianca.

I’m on the bandwagon with everyone else. I don’t think Will should make any long term plans. Will’s death is sure to devastate Sami and Lucas. I hope Adrienne will come forward to help Lucas with his grief.

This (real) possibility of Will being murdered has me desperately wanting to reach through the screen and somehow stop it. It’s such a monumental mistake, not only in terms of legacy characters but in terms of visible gay storyline. I just want to say “please don’t do this.” I get if you want to switch directions for a while, put your gay characters in the background – in all fairness, they have had a pretty good front burner run for a few years now. But to get rid of Will in this way? To let Paul drift off into the background? This show moved into the 21st century by putting gay characters front and center and has done such a good job with the story. To have it end like this is really sad, and worries me regarding the future. Nostalgia is good and all, but it only brings temporary reprieve from ratings struggles. The stories have to be there, and so abruptly shifting the gay story to the background and then wiping the center spoke of that story off the canvas (in what seems to be a rather permanent way) seems more reactionary than well though out (sort of like the reactionary way Will was recast inappropriately in the first place). The character of Will is a strong character, a character rich in story possibilities. It’s a shame the writers felt like this was the only way to end this ground breaking characters stay on the show. Will deserved better.

DOOL is just getting worse and worse. I’m trying to stay watching at least until Kassie DePaiva leaves but it’s getting hard. Whoever decided to kill off Will and write out Eve should be fired immediately. This show is a MESS to be coming up on their big anniversary!!

DAYS has me tuning in with excitement every day! The murder of Will was somewhat graphic, but will create great story. Eve will be on for quite a while.

I wonder if Ben will get any ties as a wedding gift…lol

We’re all entitled to our opinion and I’m glad you’re enjoying it. But after 35 years of watching soaps, this has become the worst for me! I already know I’ll stop watching when Eve leaves…if I can even make it until then!
