With roles on The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives, Eileen Davidson continues to be one in-demand daytime drama actress.

Now, Davidson has decided its time for her to drop her moonlighting gig and leave Bravo’s hit reality show franchise, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!

Davidson has been with the current cast for three seasons and debuted on the series alongside another former daytime, Lisa Rinna (Ex-Billie, DAYS).

Eileen related her decision by stating via an Instagram post:  “After a lot of thought, because of my crazy scheds at YR and Dool, I’ve decided it’s best for me and my fam to step away from being a housewife for now. But ya never know! I might be popping in to see what the ladies are up to from time to time! Thanks for your love and support guys!!!!”

So, what do you think of Eileen’s decision to step away from RHOBH? Comment below!

She was the only touch of class on that franchise ….

The Real Housewives ruined her. for me..
She use to be a good character but after the The Real Housewives thing I always saw her as a slutty druggy alcoholic person like her Real Housewives peers.. Super bad image..
She ruined Ashely every since she did the housewives..

Thank goodness I never watched “Housewives”, or any stupid ” unreality” shows. They are staged, so, where is the reality!?!?
My image of Eileen is still intact, su. Love her….soooo beautiful.
Awaiting Kristen with baited breath.

Celia… I love the Housewives.. You need to stop by and we can watch aan episode together. …. I will get you to like them… great TV…

BOY, I AGREE WITH YOU AGAIN…NEVER WATCHED HOUSEWIVES AND SO GLAD I DIDNT…EILEEN IS A TERRIFIC ACTRESS….

I agree with Celia that a lot of that was staged. That might be why she left that show.

Some of it stage, but still good reality … MUST TV!!!

su0000, I didn’t watch RHOBH often; however, I agree that the show was certainly beneath her. Unfortunately, money talks, I suppose. Eileen is way too classy to have been a part of such a (horrific) franchise. The housewives are mostly low-life trash, IMO, and as I said below, money doesn’t buy class! I think Eileen is just beyond classy and beautiful. Thank goodness work beckoned and she came to her senses!

I’m hoping Eileen had to step away from RHOBH more so for DAYS than Y&R! Y&R has Ashley, but I’d be so happy with DAYS’ Kristen, Susan, Sister Mary Moira and Thomas for a year!!!!

Hectic = multiple characters for several months. I’m praying…as much as Sister Mary Moira would have me do so!

I agree. Eileen’s best and most consistently exciting work has always been on DAYS.

True and the only time I truly tune-in to DAYS is when Eileen returns and does an arc. Love her.

As a prominent daytime actress I was surprised ED took on TRHBH in the first place.

It was rumoured, she is the all time highest paid, “housewife”.

Heck… @750,000 a season times 3 = 2.2 million after taxes @50% = a payout of $1,000,000 bucks to cache.

Nice work if you can get it, huh?

AND

I love her to this day.

I, am so hoping its because @DAYS of OUR Lives wants her

Hello Eve and Kristen.

July 19th. 12 days.

I’m counting down the days also Patrick

Good for her. That “show” was so beneath her acting talents and qualities as a human being.

Bravo Eileen
You are more classy than that show!

I for one will miss her, she brought an air of class to the show that was
missing after Camille Grammer and Adrienne Maloof left the show. I guess
as long as they don’t replace her with any witches or former Puerto Rican
beauty contest winners the show should be all right, but none the less, I
will miss her.

I hope this means she’ll have a lot more time on Days.

I am so GLAD! I love Eileen… she is just too much of a class act to be involved with that hot mess! I was stunned when she agreed to go on in the first place, she’s better than that. She is a first rate actress, it’s beneath her…

Lisa Rinna on the other hand would do anything to stay relevant, but she was never a talented actress to begin with.

Can’t wait to see how Ron C brings Eileen back into Salem!

I posted a similar comment below. Have you ever looked up (trolled) Lisa Rinna’s Instagram account? Yikes. The comments are brutal. I would be absolutely mortified if I were her and would delete my account.

I can surely understand since she is so busy with Y&R and DOOL…Love her on both soaps.

More time to dedicate to Days and Y & R.

Such good news!

She irritated many Bravo fans, especially when she was in cahoots with Rinna. I won’t miss her.

Nooo…not gonna lie , if schedule overload was a problem i really wld ve preferred she drop y n r !
Real housewives and days of our lives are exciting, y n r is major underwhemling. On days as kristen , eileen is showcased as a major vixen smart and sexy. On housewives the confrontations are legendary when eileen defends lisa rinna s bad choices to lvp and kim.
Unfortunately y n r always promises eileen a frontburner story but they never deliver. The ravi relationship was a dud and the dinna story looked promising but has not fallen flat. Eileen needs to go where shes adored. She shld ve asked for a y n r hiatus, ash s story is not important, unfortunately we have the silly cane and lily story the only saga thats playing out.
I hope eileen at least appears in cameos because seeing her in real life for a fan is special. Shes one of the few down to earth housewives along with kyle on the show.

Did you hear that? Thats the sound of me immediately regaining respect for Eileen as she walks away from that god awful trash!

YES! I just made a similar comment below.

Miss Davidson made a decision that kept her current and financially rewarding. Good for her to make the most of an opportunity. It is wonderful to see daytime’s best get featured outside the afternoon. Am glad Miss Davidson chose Y&R and DOOL over RHOBH when making her choice though. I have enjoyed watching her as her many characters for many years. I do hope Ashley Abbot remains on canvas with her work on DOOL.

I think this is a smart move on Eileen’s part. She is way too classy to surround herself with such low-life trash! Hey, money doesn’t buy class..

Good for her for leaving! Never made sense that she joined a show like that.
And love her hair in the pic here!

It’s quite individual, however, my perception of a talented actress dropped considerably. The hope was she was not having a financial crisis which we all can understand.

For me those reality type programs when everyone takes a trip and yells at each other should be banned for anyone under eighteen. What terrible examples of how to handle unkind comments and so forth. I watched for a bit years ago, but it struck how harmful they could be to young teenager girls if they felt behavior like that displayed was acceptable.
