GENERAL HOSPITAL: All Roads Lead To Helena Cassadine In Major Cliffhanger Episode!

Friday’s episode of General Hospital was filled with intense scenes, great performances, and left the viewers with even more questions to ponder, which now seem to be becoming very interconnected, which after all, is good cliffhanging soap opera!

The show moved at fast pace, and had some moments that can now propel the story forward.  (However, we are sure there will be the naysayers here who perhaps don’t feel the same way).

Kelly Monaco (Sam) was finally given a meaty scene to sink her teeth into and delivered beautifully, as Sam learned the shocking truth, well sort of!  Patrick (Jason Thompson who was all terrific in these scenes) knew Jason was alive, and didn’t tell Sam, and had the Intel for months, even when the duo were investigating Crichton-Clark, and he reveals how he ran into Robin (Kimberly McCullough) there! Patrick explains that Victor Cassadine (Thaao Penghlis) blackmailed Robin to leave her family to save the life of Jason.  Only as Patrick believes after Jason was saved, he eventually died.  Sam is devastated and feels betrayed by Patrick who she sees as her best friend, and whose relationship was developing into something more!  She accuses Dr. Drake of playing God!  Is it curtains for Samtrick? Or, can they overcome this?

Meanwhile, Faison (Anders Hove) who started the fallout between Sam and Patrick with his revelation that Jason never died and was at Crichton-Clark, now has another intense scene with Anna (Finola Hughes)! And once again, brilliant performances were delivered by Anders Hove and Finola Hughes and their characters continuing cat and mouse game.  Anna questions …. just what is Faison’s involvement with Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers), who now seems to be coming up as the epicenter of all the evil-doings in Port Charles?  It is then that a key element to this entire story comes into play when Faison utters that he hasn’t worked with the Ice Queen since Lucky Spencer’s brainwashing, to which Anna gets very disturbed over.  Faison tell her that the spell is broken … and he does not love her anymore …and she is no longer worthy of his love, meaning as he claims, his obsession with the commish is kaput!  Is it though?

And as for Fluke … so now the real Fluke (?) has the real Luke hostage.  One interesting thing we noticed is that Fluke’s vocal inflections and intonation seemed to be altered a bit from what we remembered it to be previously.  Is that a clue? Or, are we hearing things?  Luke demands to know who this guy is and what was Faison’s involvement in all this … since the Dane was wearing the prosthetic “Lukealike” mask!  Fluke explains Faison wore the mask to trick the police and that Helena Cassadine plans on freeing Faison.    Fluke then put the screws into Luke pulling on his own face, saying there is no mask on him, as Luke wants to know who has been taking over his life.  In the end, Luke’s mouth is duct-taped! And as for Geary’s performances, you can’t really get any better than this man in the acting game.

Jason AKA Jake (Billy Miller) is on the pier, and who should come waltzing in to the scene but Helena! And what does she do? She fills in the blanks for the amnesiac! She reveals he is Jason Morgan!  The scenes were deliciously played by Constance Towers and Billy Miller.  Jason then realizes from Helena, just who he is, and how that must be affecting all the people who he has encountered who believe he is dead, especially when he learns that Danny is his son, and he has wife, Sam!  But not so fast GHers, he isn’t going to remember this conversation?  Apparently not, because Helena has Jason under mind control!  Helena reveals he’s working for her now.  He’s been conditioned to take her orders and do whatever she says, and he won’t remember anything afterwards. She explains she has big plans for him, and a task to be done.   Later towards the end of the episode, Sam is grabbed by a man in black ski mask!  Is that Jason?

With all roads now seemingly leading to Helena, could it be that this new theory could be a viable one?  That Fluke is really the very much alive Bill Eckert, and Helena got a hold of the guy years ago and resurrected him, and has him under mind control, which is why he is acting so despicable towards Luke?

Finally, in Pentonville we saw the long awaited freedom of Carlos and the return of Jeffrey Vincent Parise to the canvas, Sonny (Maurice Benard) lamenting over losing Michael as his “son”, and at the end of the episode the highly-touted return of Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash)!

So, what did you think of Friday’s GH? What performances stood out to you? Do you think Jason is the man in the ski mask? Do you think our theory could hold water as to who is Fluke? Share your thoughts below!

Friday’s episode was excellent and full of surprises! Its why I watch General Hospital!

I so AGREE! I love how some of these long-playing “secrets” are revealed from unexpected sources, like the blunt reveals of Faison telling Sam about Jason & Helena telling Jake he’s Jason. GH isn’t falling back on the old “memory coming back” trope, where Jason or someone close to him controls the information, or discovers it unexpectedly. That would take to long to play out, as we’d see him hem & haw about repercussions, feeling, yadda-yadda…Instead, stuff is being flung at the good guys & they just have to deal with it.

As for Fluke, he doesn’t frustrate me as much as other viewers. But, that’s because I’m enjoying how the other characters are weaving in & out of his orbit unexpectedly. Did notice the change in vocal inflections. So, I’m thinking that Faison was a temporary Fluke for a very short time; maybe even just for the arrest that was orchestrated by Helena. The other time it was still this guy without the mask. I keep going back to the blue shirt though, because Rick seemed to wear blue shirts a lot, and had a major beef with Sonny for so many years. Meh, I’m not going to speculate any more. Just sit back & enjoy the show.

Hi Kansas,
I don’t know if the truth ( that Jake is actually Jason) being flung in Jason’s face will make any difference. Other than the cryonics shop quartet, no one knows Jason’s true identity. Not even himself….perhaps I heard wrong, but I thought Helena told Jason, after blurting out his true identity, that he would forget what she had just revealed.
Thus, it will still take THAT long to play out, …JMO…

Fluke? Well, he’s just gross…frustration is not the word I would use…..repulsion just knocked on my door…lol. I do agree, though that the arrest of Fluke-who-turned-out-to-be-Faison skit was ingenious…..What a brilliant and well-executed diversion….can the PCPD get any dumber?

someone PLEASE END THIS STORY.

Some of my predictions for this story has come true: Helene using mind control on Jason to help Faison(who really might be Victor) escape police custody and Faison goes on the run with Liesl…and while Liesl is gone Helene remains in PC wearing a Liesl mask…Nik confronts Liesl because of Britt leaving town, unaware its Aunt HELLena and NOT Brittas Mutter From Hell…lol

note: helena is nik’s grandmother not aunt……….

Thanks elm51…i forgot that…lol…sometimes i forget who is who in relationships on this show…lol

Dang Nathan…kill him off now for ruining part of my prediction…Liesl was supposed to run off with Faison so Helene could wear a Liesl mask but now i realize how would Helene pull off Liesl’s medical knowledge…bummer…lol

Amen….ending this story would be a great Christmas gift !!

Loved it. But who the heck is Fluke LOL

enjoying this Fluke Luke can’t wait to the reveal of who is who. and as far as helena she is just too much great actress. figures she would control Jason. know we need to also no where Faison came in and how did he escape. where is Jerry Jax ? he can be behind all this also. Lol crazy minds think alike

The fluke scenes were basically the same as last week just in a different setting.

You are so on the mark, Lawrence. Fluke’s scenes are so infuriatingly predictable…blah, blah, blah….

can we say..crazy but good!!I what still eats at me …how does Helena possess mind control? And how is she still alive?

Lol, Howard. We are to believe that while Jason was at the clinic, his brain was somehow altered to do Helena’s bidding. …..for what purpose? Unknown. Because of her hate for Luke? If so, how does Sonny, Faison, Jerry, Larry or the Jeromes and, now Liesl, fit into the picture? I’m wondering if it was indeed Robin who re-arranged Jason’s brain under duress .
The Cassadines all come back to life sooner or later. They take a trip to hell, make a pact with the devil and then re-surface from the earth’s bowels, as the walking dead to cause havoc. I said this before, I am sure Dr, Frankenstein has a hand in this.

It was a fantastic episode EXCEPT for the time allotted to Sam for crying once again. Crying seems to be the only “emotion” allowed her since when she isn’t crying she is as dull as dishwater.

I sure hope the mind control gimmick isn’t overused as an answer to all the questions raised by this extensive umbrella plot. If Jake is under Helena’s mind control, what is his trigger? Lucky’s control was “protect your queen.” Personally, it would make more sense for Helena to remind Jake that he is Jason Quartermaine rather than Jason Morgan. As a Quartermaine Helena would have a secure entrance into the Quartermaine fortune and ELQ stock while she could still use Jason Morgan’s skill set.

We have learned that Helena has a masterplan, but what is her final goal? What is her final goal? A few hints would not go amiss at this point.

You make a very good point about Jason Quartermaine. Did the writers even consider that? And how did Helena mastermind this whole plot when she was frozen for the last 1 1/2 years?

I really think that the writers don’t even know the final goal, at this point, Engrady. There are so many holes…it seems that plots and scenes are thrown in at the last minute for good measure. This bread has been baking for so long, it is now as hard as a rock…inedible.
Why would Helena be so interested in ELQ? Not money. Doesn’t she have more money than God? Power? She seems to control every corner of the planet, what else does she want? The Vatican? The Royal Jewels? Disney World?…LOL. I can’t see Port Charles as one important city in the map of the world. Surely, there are more powerful companies to be had. And, why Jason? There are no hints because ,mayhap , there are none. I hope I’m wrong and that there is an impending end on the horizon just waiting to emerge.
I am not familiar with all the background intricacies of GH, I sorely lack in knowledge here….but, things just do not make sense to me at times.

@Curacaoman…good point. When and how did Helena gather her minions to concoct this obscene plot?….LOL.

Hi Engrady…first…I have to commend you for remembering Lucky’s triggerl, “protect your queen!” LOL…I would never have remembered that! As to the Jason M vs Jason Q…as said he’s not going to remember who he is anyway…so it may have been just to give us, the audience, a “pacifier” to see how Jake/Jason reacts to the news…which I personally felt was rather sedate. There are a few possibilities, though. For all we know she can have him programmed to act as both Jason M and Jason Q. Meaning…when she needs him to strong arm someone/kill…she triggers Jason M..( and he does these deeds incognito so no one recognizes him ala Batman or Spiderman without costume lol) but otherwise has him back in the fold at the Qs so they think they’ve got “their” Jason back.

Perhaps she’ll resurrect Rafe and he can be Jason’s Robin. Not Patrick’s Robin…Batmank’s/Jakeman’s Robin. 😉

Carlivati finally has a winner @ GH!

Now .. Carlivati could have called this episode “EPIC” … bravo!

If this episode doesn’t prove that new face Jason is the real Jason I don’t know what is.

Michael Fairman, I’ll try not to be a “naysayer” (lol, love the preemptive strike!) so I’ll mainly pose some questions.

First let me agree with you about Anders, Finola and Tony Geary. This is what we need more of on GH; fine actors, who make the right choices and who can play material like this without being OTT and chewing the scenery to a point that drains all credibility and drama out of the story. All three are superb.

Now, some naysaying, or question posing 🙂 All the villains being connected is just too much because I’ll be shocked if it ever makes sense. We know Helena is obsessed with the Spencers, but why does she care about Sonny? Why would she need Julian involved and have Fluke running drugs? What has any of that amounted to and what will it?

If it’s Bill Eckert and he’s not a wackjob but under Helena’s control, what is Julian needed for? Julian supposedly met Fluke in witness protection. Was he nuts then? I believe Julian also said that he had been working with Fluke for years? Did Helena brainwash Bill years ago and hook him up with Juilan?

Given the track record of RC/FV and so many inconsistencies and contradictions in story over the years, I just have no confidence that all of this will make sense. There will be aspects that just don’t, based on what has happened and what has been said over the past ten months and I think that’s because they are just writing it as they go along.

I totally agree with you. They don’t seem to read the history nor have or utilize an expert on GH history. They don’t have a final goal/endgame in mind. Never figured out why everyone was so thrilled when they came from OLTL. I loved ol but there were story problems similar to now GH. However it’s better than GH was. But where are the character driven stories and relationships.

Exactly, GH50. It seems that these miscreants (with and without masks) are re-introduced nilly-willy en masse….then TPTB bunch them all together in one mad plot with small sub-plots here and there. It is an uphill battle without purchase or foothold, despite the fact that the acting has been superlative. I am all for suspense and cryptic plots, but not a maelstrom of confusion. This storyline is all over the map….no end and no beginning. I completely forgot how it began….the Jeromes resurfaced to take revenge on Sonny and then everything went haywire? If I could just piece these people’s connection to each other and their common goal, as Engrady mentioned, I could accept this fallacy and say to myself, “Oh, okay, I get it!”…. But, I am at an impasse, and I believe so are the writers. Please prove me wrong, I beg you, writers. Let there be a point to this story…end it !

Then simply don’t watch and don’t comment. All GH50 does is post negative even when the show is good. But still watches every day. Oh wait if they didnt they would have no life as they couldn’t troll every positive GH article on the internet

Chris, that is truly an unfair comment. GH50 was fairly positive and pretty objective with his/her comment. The truth is there are loose ends and contradictions with this story and all GH50, Cin, and Cee Cee are saying is they hope those loose ends will be tied up. Cee Cee is almost always positive about this daytime series and I have read a few positive posts from GH50.
I do not appreciate the mantra which dictates love-it-or-leave it. I also detest it when someone accuses someone they don’t even know of not having a life. GH50 and Cee are hardly trolls–they are well known and well liked here. Moreover, their comments are all too rare as they are busy with their lives. So yes, they do have lives thank you very much. How about you?

Enjoying it overall.

A little Helena (like Stavros, Faison and anything having to do with masks and mind control) goes a long way for me and the scenes with Jason were painful (and not in the way the show intended, I think).

On the upside, the Fluke/Luke scenes were great and the Faison/Anna scenes made me squirm (can’t remember the last time a soap did that).

Never cared for Carlos before but loved him on Friday. Would like to see him find some redemption as a modern anti-hero.

Not sure how everything will tie together from the past three years (starting with Robin’s abduction from the hospital lab) and I don’t know that I need it to – just a wrap up that more or less covers the broad strokes and then we can just enjoy it and move on to the next piece. Umbrella stories = good. Umbrella stories over three years = not so good. (However, I realize that because of Geary’s health problems and KMc’s outside work schedule, the story got stretched further than maybe it was intended…. but oh let’s move them both off canvas as leads and focus on characters whose actors are on the show full time).

I got a feeling Carlos and Sabrina will leave town to start a new life together but first Carlos will be the one to find Ava and turn her in for Connie’s murder right before Ava is able to locate her baby…just a harmless prediction!!!

I think you’re right. When she told Michael that she’d been fired from the hospital, it was clear that she’s being written out. I liked the character but they just seemed to run out of things for her to do once she moved on from the Patrick/Robin story. Thank God the rumors awhile back that she was another child of Sonny turned out to be just a rumor.

I don’t know jimh…Carlos seems bent on revenge. He may just go up against Duke to take down Sonny’s territory (Sonny DID try to kill him and let him rot in jail) and I doubt he’s going to help find Ava’s baby since she’s the one that made him take the fall. LOL…he should team up with Nina and Franco for the Revenge Squad.

Oops! jimh…I read you wrong. Yes, I agree with that part of what you wrote…that would be a great part of my “revenge” theory…for Carlos to be the one to turn her in.

“GH” is totally on fire, I think that about says it all!!!
I wish Laura/Genie’s permanent return was somehow part of this latest Cassadine attack on the Citizens of Port Charles…

And I definitely with Michael: ” And as for Geary’s performances, you can’t really get any better than this man in the acting game.”

Amen to that!!!

Great Episode!! 🙂

I’ve heard rumors that there is no Fluke, that someone, maybe Helena brainwashed Luke into believing that Fluke exists, when in reality Luke is Fluke, does that make sense?

Could be…no one else has seen Fluke with Luke…maybe its like the Jimmy Stewart movie where he’s the only one who sees Harvey the bunny…lol…Luke as Fluke only imagines he is talking to Luke…could be…im still hoping for a battle between two Lukes and no one knows which is fluke and which one is real luke…im getting so dizzy talking about luke & fluke i could puke…lol

Now THAT would be a great twist! Add in Laura’s return, and OMG, the best! !

This is the best guess regarding fluke I’ve heard definitely more plausible then all the other scenerio that have been put out there. I would find this version more realistic then all the others and less creepy that poor Tracy has been having sex with some psycho out there.

Hi k/kay…Sorry it took me so long to reply. I didn’t see your question until today. Can’t say that I was thinking of Stephen King’s The Dark Half…never read it! Sounds like a good read!

That would be a great twist…but then how would they explain Luke drugged out of his mind in miscaviage and everyone else interacting with Fluke. Julian knew Luke was being held prisoner…and everyone else saw Fluke on the outside. (unless when he wasn’t being Fluke they drugged him, kept him there and only brought him out to play when they needed him.)

So Rebecca, as I understand this theory, Luke’s battle with Fluke is a psychological internal battle of wills. Helena has been mind controlling Luke and he goes in and out of being Fluke. Maybe when Fluke was blowing it big time they sent him back to that facility to tweak the mind control thing so Fluke could come back acting more like Fluke. I like the idea of it but think it might be too intellectual, too Dostoevskian for Ron (or Gogol, or Nabokov).
Or we could have an Orphan Black scenario here–Fluke is a clone who has been infused with Stefan Cassadine’s personalty. I do hope Fluke doesn’t turn out to be a long lost twin.
My greatest hope is that he will turn out to be Bill Eckert.

Thanks, Harry. Ya, that’s what I was saying above as well. Out in the land of the living as Fluke/Luke…back and drugged in the facility to, as you said, “tweak the mind control.” And yes, it would be quite the intellectual turn…but perhaps part of the writing team is more versed in literature than we give them credit for. Orrrrrrrrrrr…maybe it turns out Luke has mutiple personalities ala Vicki on OLTL and GH’s Connie.

@ Rebecca a question are you thinking that maybe the Luke/Fluke storyline could be a rip off of the book by Stephen King The Dark Half it was later made into a movie with timothy Hutton? If so it would be a great idea and Geary could pull it off.

I really luv the WBS !
The WSB is a dark secret society in the government, how exciting!!
Their clinic of horrors can to anything (like in the movies lol)
Mind control has been used for a long time in government organisations as well as [other] experimental things in the secret side of the governments around the world powers…
The WBS is a great addition to general Hospital..(an outlaw Mission impossible lol !!)

the acting by all has been overwhelming great!! BRAVO to all..
GH’s actors are giving their all, and it shows they are having fun and loving it too..
I am on the edge with every scene and when the episode ends I want more!!!

I’m looking forward to the Jason story with Helena and I’d bet Luke…
Sonny and Johnny z, will be good!!
Carlos and Sabrina … Nina and Franco.. Dr. O and Faison.. Sam and Jason..
Flukes reveal . Ava, and Jordan can come out,
there is a lot of excitement on the way!!!!!!!!
I am enjoying all the stories, everyone of them ..
General is like no other soap, it is unique and out of the traditional soap opera box.

(and– I do not believe that Victor Cassadine is dead, no way, the Cassadines are immortal,
and I hope to have him back!!)

I agree…wish I could Ff my dVR to Monday.

The wsb is like shield taken over by hydra so wsb has been corrupted by the dvx. Where’s grant Putnam and satan?

It was a riveting episode full of great scenes and phenomenal acting. This is why I love watching General Hospital

GEN is just Fabulous! Anna/Fiona and Faison/Anders were brilliant, him grabbing
her lapel, her his throat…..Genius. Sam/Kelly came to life, finally.
Jason/Billy pacing the dock like a caged animal, being stalked by his tamer.
RC give US this everyday of the week.

Finally we see a different side to Billy Miller as “Jason”…loving Billy Miller in the role…love his approach. Glad he’s been paired with the beloved Constance Towers (Helena). Great to Carlos return to the canvas, and Johnny, too. I’m SO over the masks and more masks, and MORE masks. It’s banal. Pointless. I’d love to see GH reduce the cast and get rid of the boring characters: Sabrina, Lucas, Felix, Brad, Kiki, Dr. O’, Olivia, and others.
Recast Michael, too. Chad is boring. And, if Kelly leaves, recast Britt.
Instead, keep in the reccuring mix, Lucy, Kevin, Scott, Bobby, Duke, Mac/Felicia.
And, bring back Rick, already!!! Also, GH has been missing lots of scenes at the HOSPITAL, this past week. The show is losing balance, lots of villians running around. Hospital action? GH get Wally Kurth back on contract as Ned. And, recast Lois! and, bring Lucky back home, too!

I was surprised that Helena spilled, especially since the spoilers didn’t really indicate such. I hope it isn’t “false” hope that the Jason s/l’s picking up speed. I thought BM & CT sizzled w/chemistry. I loved the refrained Helena vs. OTT Helena, too. Now THIS is closer to the BM I know & love. Of course he will outsmart Helena, hopefully sooner rather than later. We must get some love or heat going between somebody on this show! Might as well be Jason and Sam. I do think it is Jason in black that nabs Sam at the police station, probably to keep her safe as he springs Faison. I would’ve been disappointed if Jason hadn’t said “I have to go find Sam” immediately after learning who he was.

I feel FL & AH could have their own spin-off they are so fascinating. Their acting choices are always so interesting. Anna, in tears..WOW! How amazing it must be to be Finola Hughes right now! Starting w/Anna’s scenes w/Sonny Hallowedding week, then Agent Sexy Pants Sloane, fine actor Robb Derringer, then Liesl, Duke, & now Faison, FH has been knocking it out of the park. A million Emmy worthy scenes! She has all this loss & devastation around her w/o Robin or Robert to lean on. I feel an Anna breakdown coming on!

I don’t understand why Nik couldn’t call Liz later instead of breaking his neck to get to her after kicking Britt out again and INSTEAD of dealing with his broken & troubled son who just declared his hate for him. So much more important than updating Liz on his love life!

Sam and Patrick broke my heart. Jason Thompson is so underrated. He is missing an Emmy or 2 from his shelf. Kelly Monaco’s underrated as well, and they played their scenes perfectly. I don’t know how Sam didn’t rage against him more. Maybe that’s to come. I’d have done more than slug him. I’m sure she will forgive him, but not before Jason gets her back for good please. No more derailments for JaSam! I want to see BM & KM as a real, in love, passionate , fake couple please. Lol.

Lastly, Jeffrey Vincent Parise, a gem in a cast of treasures!! Such excellent timing!! How I wish he was a regular and could stick around. He makes Sabrina bearable. If he must go I hope they ride off into the sunset together.

There’s so much talent on General Hospital, in front of and behind the cameras, it is almost embarrassing!! An embarrassment of riches…no wonder Finola Hughes wept this week!!

“… Jeffrey Vincent Parise, a gem in a cast of treasures!! ”

Carlos, Carlos, Carlos

need me some

he’s so present and affable

just contribuntes right along with every one on the canvas

Oh, I almost FORGOT, Anthony Geary seems completely revived after a good rest and a fresh new s/l! I have to fall back on my GH is an embarrassment of riches line again. So much talent. My concentration capacity is tapped out with this s/l, although it’s fun, I’very long ago given up guessing Fluke’s identity, ALMOST. I, too, feel it could be Bill Eckert, except it shifted to STEFAN CASSADINE Friday, since he hated Luke, had a terrible disfigured face from the fire shortly before his 2003 “death”, and Fluke was waxing poetic in that pompous Stefan Cassadine accent Stephen Nichols carried off so well. Also, in an October, 2014 episode Carly made a “whatever happened to him” joke to her mom, Bobbie and Stefan’s ex, about him.

Hi Laurie…

I actually feel like Anthony Geary is still not up to par, healthwise. Dunno…his body seems stiff…as if his back is still bothering him. He’s moving…but not with the grace of a cat.

Love the idea of Stefan coming back…but only in the form of Stephen Nichols. But then that wouldn’t work…because if it does turn out to be him he’d be arrested and off the canvas again.

Harry Naysayer here. Well, I am just going to dwell on the positive given it’s the holiday season and really, it has been interesting.
1. Loved seeing Johnny at the end of Friday’s show–he was like seeing the face of the sun parting the dark clouds. A sight for sore eyes he was for sure.
2. Yes indeed–Tony Geary is simply a brilliant actor who shows without telling. We don’t have to be told he’s Fluke, he shows us without telling us through his vocal intonations and physical mannerisms. It’s not in your face, it’s subtle which is why it is so compelling.
3. I love how Michael Fairman says that Helena is the epic center of the whole Fluke/Faison thing. The title of this blog reads that “All Roads Lead to Helena.” I do hope that turns out to be true because that would be the only way I can fathom that they can tie up all the loose ends and clear up all the contradictions. If Ron can pull this off, that will make him the Houdini of daytime soap opera writer.
I do think a big clue was offered when Faison said he had not worked with Helena since he and she worked on the Brainwashing Lucky project.

Honestly I’m so over this s/l. The Fluke mess has gone on too long (I do understand why though with Anthony Geary needing surgery). Considering it feels like just recently we had a good amount of the crazy bad guys all in with that mess surrounding Robin I’m just tired and want to see Jason get his memories back and deal with everything that has happened to him and his family while he was gone.

I absolutely loved it!
I am so glad that the Cassadines are immortal. They are all such great villains. Helena was especially amazing.
The entire GH cast was amazing! I was so happy to see them all.

I think Carlos and Sabrina may be headed out of town–not sorry to see her go.

I agree, a LITTLE Helena goes a long way–and there was TOO MUCH Helena Friday. She used the word “action” several times with emphasis–I assumed that was the code word. But is Faison also playing mind control games? Anna was so unnerved.

Helena also mentioned the WSB, so it’s still dirty. Does Robert know? What about the new agent? Is he a bad guy?

I also noticed Fluke’s change of voice. Must be a hint of some sort.

DON’T want Sam back with Jason. And DON’T want the old Cyborg Jason back.

Love Tony Geary, but time for Fluke and mind control to go bye bye.

i’m loving how things are playing out, and can’t wait for more revelation. It was great to see ” jake” learn he was jason only to have him forget. For me this is the first time Helena is delivering as a villain, she’s being cunning and smart and not just annoying like in past appearances wheres she’s normally all talk but no action. I stll wish the “good” guys would figure things out more quickly or at least be more suspecious instead of just give in to any simple explanation. Its annoying to see Anna think everything is under control when time after time she’s filled by the bad guys, she should be more paranoid and determine not to be outwitted again. but oh well, as for Sam, i wasn’t feeling sorry for her, she comes across as selfish, never mind that patrick and robin were under threat, ” she had the right to know jason was alive, yes sam because its all about you! for some reason i feel that RC is a fan of Marvels agents of shield with the wsb being taken over by the bad guys thing and how he sets up the villains vs heroes, mind control, and “mask” but RC needs to balance things out a little more, the heroes in his version more often come across as idiot and villains are always to in control and way to many steps ahead of the good guys…

Aria,

I prefer this Helena, too. She’s much more effective as controlled madness than the OTT villain. I agree the good guys should be smarter. You can be smart and still be outwitted. This is 1 of my biggest frustrations with the current writing, though I do like the writing overall.

The reason I must side with Sam here is because Patrick didn’t just not tell her to spare her pain, though that was the latter reason. Initially it was just as much do to the fact that he resents Jason and Robin because she has chosen him over her family. Also because if the tables were turned and it was her withholding the same information about Robin, he would be furious and feel decieved! It’s interesting that Patrick’s 1st instinct, and 2nd, and 3rd was to lie to Sam even if it was partly to spare her pain, and Jason’s 1st instinct, even as Jake, was to find Sam and tell her the truth, DESPITE the fact it would cause her hurt. Even though it may have been to help him as well, he didn’t even hesitate. Jake didn’ t think she would melt, and he doesn’t even know her or so it seems. She will forgive him anyway.

Laurie, you make a good point about Sam, still for some reason I don’t see myself feeling any sympathy for her, I’ll confess I’m a liz fan. As for good guys vs evil team, so far the villains have outwitted the good guys by far more and they’ve done using the same old tricks, so that’s not good for the good guys.

Laurie…I’m confused by what you said…why would Jake finding Sam and telling her all hurt her? She would be ecstatic to find out he’s still alive..memory or no memory! His first instinct (as opposed to Patrick’s) was completely different…Jake/Jason finding out he has a wife and son…that that’s where he finally learns he belongs…or used to…knowing that this woman was (will be again?) his love and that that little boy is his child. It would make sense that would be his first instinct…

Hi Aria…I must respectfully disagree with your feelings on Sam’s reaction.I don’t blame her for any of her anger toward Patrick. Trying to comprehend his reasons may come later…for now…all she knows is that the husband she loved so much, whom she grieved over so fiercely and only til recently gave up hope that he was still ‘out there’ WAS alive and that Patrick knew it! Who wouldn’t want one last time to see someone they love, to touch them, hold them…talk to them. And, in the case of this fantasyland and Sam’s criminal past…in her mind she may have been able to help him escape. The possibilities are endless for her…and she never got the chance. When Patrick was going out of his mind when he thought Robin had died…he would have given anything to find out she really wasn’t dead. Imagine if Sam knew she was alive, but didn’t tell him.

I think these are the more plausible aspects of any soap. The raw human emotion that comes from love/hate/grief…and we don’t see a lot of that anymore…so these realistic moments, for me…are a nice balance.

“… For me this is the first time Helena is delivering as a villain, she’s being cunning and smart ”

I’m getting the same show

Helena is treating us to some savoir-faire

she’s on top of her game

Well folks, if there as an “A” team on GH and a “B” team on GH, Fridays episode was the “A” Team! There was not a moment in that show where you could turn away. Anthony, Finola, Anders, Constance, Kelly and Jason. Amazing. I especially want to point out Jason Thompson’s job. All the others had amazing scenes and reveals but watching Jason react to Kelly and how she found out about her husband not dying was like watching a painting being painted. Their faces just came alive on the screen with each line they read to each other. Lastly, notice I didnt mention Billy Miller on that list. Yes, he was amazing with Constance. I kept him off to single him out. What a fine actor who left a #1 show and took on Steve Burton’s character and had the biggest hill to climb in replacing Steve. I have not read one negative review of his portrayal of Jason Morgan, maybe Quartermaine. Why? Because the guy is mega talented and is knocking this version of Jason out of the park. Great job Billy!

Michael, coming from you, that means a lot, thank you. I appreciate the compliment.

Dad always liked you best! HMMPH!
All kidding aside, Timm, it really was a well written comment.

LOL

and double LOL

Harry to Timmm

Mr. Fairman, I saw the post that you left for Shay yesterday. [1-24-2016] I want to personally apologize to you and your moderators for getting out of hand by name calling and drifting off topic. We ALL name call from time to time because we have so much passion for our soaps and the characters on screen. I as well as others have to remember these actors are humans with feelings.

Secondly, I have made some friends on this site and we do go off topic and it does drift into getting personal. It shouldnt. This is NOT a dating site it is a soap site!

Lastly, as Shay, Ceecee, and I, as well as others tried to express during the last holiday season, we are SO grateful to you for having this site and letting us talk about our beloved soaps. None of us want to ruin this privilege. There are a lot of fine people on your site but I can only speak for myself, I am sorry to have abused this website and will concentrate on keeping it clean, respectful with a dash of humor!

God bless, Timmm.

Timmm…Micheal Fairman is right…this is well said…great job!!!

Thanks Jim. I know there are front and back burner stories on every soap and certain people don’t get to shine but Friday it just hit me that the right people are where they are suppose to be. Great stuff!

Wow, Timmm. This is like winning your own, private emmy. I consider it quite an honor coming from Mr. Fairman. Besides, you deserve the accolade. I love your posts and your dry humor…much like jimh and Harry’s….I am finally beginning to “get” Harry…in a very good way…later.

I actually meant WRY humor…but, dry may also apply. No matter the delivery, you bring a smile to my face…..all good.

Welcome to the club, CeeCee…..I’ve been “just wild about Harry” for quite some time!!!!

Don’t you love it when a plan comes together?????

The show has been great these past couple weeks!

“Tis true, Timmm…..the picked-up pace, along with the promise of more riveting reveals to come on GH, continue to contribute to the show’s marked improvement. Most days have something to be enjoyed and savored, which is a most welcome change from the past spring and summer. While I concur with you that we have been treated to some of the best performances in a very long time, I must admit that the payoffs have still fallen a bit short for me over last year’s dramatic denouement of Robin reclaiming her family…when Real Luke helped Scorpio and Anna finally rescue their daughter from her Wyndemere incarceration, I had chills running up and down my spine…it was such a momentous and long-awaited scene. Ditto for the Robin/Patrick reunion. I’m currently still waiting for a thrill equal to that one, but at least now I can say that there is definitely the potential for just such an event….perhaps the unveiling of Fluke’s real identity?????

I agree Shay. We rode the roller coaster for Robin’s rescue and return to PC and to be reunited with Patrick and Emma ONLY for her to once again be held “Prisoner” and be off camera, directing. Thats good for Kim but GH needs to move on and recast. Sorry but they need Robin onscreen. Yes, maybe Kimberly comes back for the Fluke reveal but we cannot have her leave again or at least the character.

You know what, timmm???? I loved the Robin arc of last year because it brought back so many of the best characters of the past, and from that point of view, her storyline was a success. While I certainly did not approve of her leaving in the manner in which she did, primarily because it ushered in that insipid Sappy pregnancy farce, I am in theory not disturbed by Dr. Scorpio-Drake’s comings and goings. I watched her grow up, but once she morphed into that young woman who bonded with Sonny and Stone, I tuned out…hence, I am not nearly as invested in her presence as many other viewers who followed her journey through the ’90’s. I later liked her with Patrick, and was absolutely enraged with his ridiculous pairing with that nitwit nurse, but now that he has happily progressed past that most unfortunate chapter in his life, I am content for whatever time KM can spare for occasional visits to Port Charles. I was merely pointing out that Robin’s story with all of her family and friends made for very gripping drama…it was definitely something that kept you on the edge of your seat, and there were some very sweet, albeit too brief, payoffs. That quality is what is still missing for me at the moment. However, I can understand your sentiments! Oh, by the way, belated congrats on your kudos from MF and also, I did answer your comments on the GH kiddos….it didn’t make it to post, but I do hope you received in your inbox. Just wanted you to know that I did reply!!!!!

Thanks Shay. I didnt see the kids reply. You make a good point about Kim coming and going. All be it brief, her arrival did bring back some legends and she ignited several different stories. I guess in the end even if its a soap, its tough to believe a mother would leave her child behind. Patrick seems to be okay without Robin.

The way GH is resurrecting the presumed dead, Mikkos might even come back.

Well I don’t really mind that story has as many holes as Swiss Cheese because it is all being acted so brilliantly that I can overlook the plot, which has become as confusing as the last few seasons of Lost.

Sometimes soap watching like life, it isn’t always destination that counts, but enjoying the journey. I don’t think the end game will really be all that satisfying where I will go– wow that was so worth it. But I am enjoying all the great acting including making unbelievable lines, sound believable– that is all I am focusing on.

Friday’s episode was great! I laughed at how absurd it was that Jake/Jason was able to sneak into the PCPD in a mask and kidnap Sam. It just makes the PCPD look inept. I completely forgot about Sabrina-as I do most characters that are on 1-2x a week. Sigh…

@Harry.
Thank you very much Harry. Early closings today…the North Shore, including the Hamptons, are expecting a goodly amount of flooding. Thus, I am home.
I do appreciate your championing me. You say it very eloquently (and I feel the same way) that critiquing the soaps and giving our opinion is a no-no, according to some. It defeats the purpose of these sites which Mr. Fairman so kindly affords us. I love GH, ergo the reason I watch….thank you again…later.

Hey CeeCee…Been seeing the flooding coverage….hope you are safe, warm and on high ground, so to speak!!!!

Thank you, Shay…so to speak, is right, as there is no high ground in the Hamptons, Suffolk County…LOL.
Off to Radio City, Saturday; so, the sun will finally be shining…thank the Fates.

I was so surprised to see the many fans Kelly/Britt has “amassed”. I was aware you like her as I do, but did not expect the outpouring of admiration toward her as an actress. When she first appeared on the scene, as it were, she was not very well received.
Also, I actually never saw the coupling of Britt and Nikolas as a good match. His character is too stiff for my tastes…..just as I do not see Maxie and Nathan together.

Kelly is seeking other outlets ….other ventures, per se, and, had she stayed, I would have loved to have seen Britt interact romantically with Jason. The passion would have permeated the air…LOL. She would have made the perfect siren for Billy Miller.
Poor Billy will be stuck with another Victoria, such as Sam or Liz. But, I love, love, love Liz; and, if those two are the only choices, please let it be Liz.
Lastly, Shay, I cannot tell you enough how I appreciate your forever-kind words. Later.

And yet, Southampton has survived for centuries! It truly must be sacred–not to mention, beautiful—ground, altitude notwithstanding! Glad to hear you and yours remain safe, CeeCee….the Radio City Music show should certainly put everyone into the Christmas spirit after such gloomy weather!!!! (I have to admit I’m still waiting for my snow…..it has been a mild winter for me, so far!) As for Britt, I mean, Kelly, yes, she certainly did receive a fond farewell from her fans….I was thrilled for the overabundance of affection demonstrated for “The Britch,” but at the same time am still so sad to see her go. I agree that she and “The Prince” were an odd coupling…..I liked the idea that she was rubbing elbows (and so much more…LOL!) with royalty, and was about to marry into the Cassadine clan…it made for fine familial drama, yet on a more personal level, her pairing with Nik never really clicked for me, either. Quite frankly, I first would have pointed her in AJ’s direction….they could have been good together as two outcasts who joined forces against the world. And given he was the heir to a blue-blooded dynasty, he also wouldn’t have been a bad catch!!! Perhaps his demise would have eventually then led her to his brother??? Although I adore Billy Miller as the revitalized Mr. Morgan, I’m not really sure that I could have envisioned him with the deliciously devious Dr. Westbourne, but then nuJason has such charisma, I think he could have made it work, what a charmer he is!!!!….(Couldn’t you just imagine Mutta’s reaction to her daughter dating “Herr Doe”….now THAT would have been priceless!!!!) Having said that, I do enjoy him with Liz, but somewhere there is an unwritten rule that the poor woman never gets her happily ever after….not even close!!! And of course, he is STILL married to your not-so-favorite, Sam, hence, you just know that there will be some sort of reunion there down the line, particularly with that engaging little munchkin, Danny, in the picture! As long as our Jakeson doesn’t become too entangled with Carly, then I shall be satisfied. Her over-possessive tendencies with his character always rubbed me the wrong way, and I get so weary of her man-eating escapades…now that her recurring roll-in-the-hay, Sonny, is incarcerated—presumably without benefit of conjugal visits?—both you and I are aware that the “Marauding Mammoth” will again be out on the prowl for male companionship…this is a chick that simply cannot do without for very long!!!!!! (Hahaha….) Anyway, it was lovely to hear from you, CeeCee, and you are always most welcome for the sentiments. Have a wonderful holiday season!!!!

I hope it’s “November Sweeps” all the rest of this year and beyond! It’s fabulous!
