GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Is Lovin' On Liz! Sam Decides To Move Forward With Her Divorce!

Wednesday’s episode of ABC’s General Hospital was certainly a victory for Team #Liason!
After Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) confrontation with Carly (Laura Wright) over Jason (Billy Miller) from Tuesday’s episode, Liz heeded some of Carly’s warnings and actually sat down with Jason in her home to give him back his ring, and to tell him that she needs to let him go. Liz says, “I’m freeing you of any obligation you have toward me or the boys. You don’t have to be here.” She tells Jason she felt guilty for her reaction to him finding out he was Jason at the church at their wedding. Liz revealed she more afraid of losing him, instead of letting him deal with the repercussions of his discovery.
A tender Jason tells Liz to stop pushing him away, becomes he doesn’t want to go anywhere. He loves her and wants to be with her. Finally, the two stop talking and begin to make-out, and lo and behold they are on their way upstairs to have sex. Leaving speculation that Liz will get pregnant, yet again, especially because of the seed planted in her mind from her conversation with Carly. But will that come to pass? Will Liz’s deception of witholding Jason’s true identify come back to haunt her and ruin her happiness?
Meanwhile, Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Patrick (Jason Thompson) are imploding. She tells him she has to find out if Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) and Elizabeth knew before Carly told Jason the truth of his identity, before she can move on. Patrick wants her to divorce Jason immediately. Sam is not happy with his demand, and tells him she will divorce Jason when she is ready. She also is shocked that Patrick, of all people, who went through a similar situation with Robin (Kimberly McCullough), could not understand her conflicted feelings. After it’s clear to Patrick that Jason is more important to Sam then he is, he walks out of the room leaving Sam in tears. Later, Sam picks up the phone and calls her mother Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to go ahead with divorce papers. Patrick overhears this, and it looks like the couple resolved their conflict. But how can that possibly be? Jason Thompson has wrapped his run, so he has to begin to have Patrick’s story begin to unravel away from Sam, doesn’t he?
As Jason/Elizabeth and Patrick/Sam are dealing with the status of their relationships, Laura (Genie Francis) has warned Nikolas that the truth is going to come out about his lies, and he should just come clean. Meanwhile, Hayden (Rebecca Budig) is manipulating Nikolas, and trying to score revenge on him along with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). Concerned for Liz’s future with Jason, Nik calls her, but she is so busy “getting busy” with Jason that she doesn’t pick up!

I don’t think Jason should be with either. Liz is a low-life; dishonest as heck. She is taking advantage of Jason’s lack of memory to mold him everywhichway. This woman is so witchy, so laboriously self-schooled in the art of deceit, so mendacious;,her lies and manipulation come naturally. No sweat for this gypsy. Lizzie is so good at playing Jason like a fine-tuned Stradivari. Is this a recently developed attribute or is being the viper an inherent trait?

Jason is a stooge, actually. He should take it upon himself to tread easy…take his time, considering his state of mind. What if he realizes he still loves Sam once he regains his memory and past life? Bah humbug!!
EXACTLY. Jason/Liz have that IT factor. Their chemistry is just insane. I just don’t see that chemistry with Jason/Sam. To be honest I FF between Jasam scenes cause I’m bored. I feel like they’re pushing Jason/Liz vs Jason/Sam for drama sake, but they should have made sure that both parties had chemistry together. But to be honest KM has never moved me on GH.

I love them more than ever now. Because “Jakeson” has never loved anybody else but her. Jason loved Keesha, Robin, Liz, Carly, Courtney and Sam. To me there was never one, clear-cut, TRUE love for him. I love a one-woman man. 🙂

Liz’s actions over the last few months have been deplorable. She has manipulated and lied over and over again to the man she professes to love and to her children. She is selfish and cares about no one but herself. I really don’t understand how anyone can root for her and Jason to stay together. I think they have no chemistry and are barely watchable as a couple. Even Liz’s pathetic attempts to set Jason free to find his own way were a manipulation in and of itself. If she truly cared about Jason and wanted Jason to find himself again, she would have told him the truth and insisted that he spend time with family and friends and people he used to love and try to find out who he was and is now. But she knows that if he does remember who he is and she and Sam end up on a level playing field, that Jason would never choose her. That’s why Liz is so desperate to hang onto Jason and that’s why Patrick is trying to manipulate Sam into divorcing Jason. Patrick is well aware where Sam’s heart lies despite her attempts to move on from Jason. I feel bad for Patrick but I think he will move on from Sam himself because he has too much self respect to accept being second best. Unlike Liz.

I do not understand how its acceptable that Liz ikeeps lying to the man she supposedly loves and to her children over and over again. How can anyone root for that? I agree with you 100% he’s never been able to stay angry with her & has told her more than once he could never hate her. He’s always had a deep connection & love with Liz, but neither of them would put the boys in danger. That being said, this Jason is not the Borg mob hitman. He loves Liz & has been drawn to her since he opened his eyes. Yes he’s going to be hurt & question things, but that love won’t just disappear. He’s also made it very clear to anyone who’ll listen that he’s not into Sam at all. There’s just no feelings & frankly less than no chemistry. There’s so much story to tell with Liason, that’s what will keep people tuning in.
I agree jason and liz have this strong connection and I think it would be wonderful for them to have a baby.
I think Becky & Billy have amazing chemistry but am ready for this lie to come out and for Liz to get to move on. I would love it to be with Nik but a new guy would be good also. I have sure enjoyed this new version of Liason I have to admit! I loved Samtrick at first too but they kind of ruined them with Sams endless Jake/Jason dialogue. Still adore JT/Patrick and my Electrick friendship. Sure gonna miss Dr Drake!

How heartless is it to tell that poor woman she is going to be a great-granny when she’s already suffered so much loss in her life? That’s really ruthless! (Then there’s lying to so-called BFF Tracy….Oh, how I hope Ms. Quartermaine’s considerable wrath is unleashed when the Sapster’s deplorable dishonesty is discovered ….Nobody in Port Charles dishes out revenge better than TAQ…..and just wait until Carly gets wind of this unholy mess! Now that should be epic!!!!) Having said that, you know what’s the absolute worst aspect to this whole unsavory scenario? Mikey and his decent intentions are being exploited by someone who doesn’t even truly love him, he’s merely the means for this duplicitous miss to satisfy her own selfish ends….I mean, the Sapster’s become quite accustomed to hanging out in the lap of luxury at ChezQ, hasn’t she? Certainly wouldn’t want to give up that cushy lifestyle when she’s this close to bagging the heir to two very different, but equally wealthy, dynasties, especially after being so unceremoniously dumped at the altar by her last successful prospect. (Plus, it sure beats the grim, yet well-deserved, alternative of playing mob moll and babymama to gangsta gunslinger, Carrrr-LOS!, eh????) My oh my, what a tangled web GH has spun from this ill-conceived (no pun intended….) farce of a relationship!!!! Of course, from the beginning Mikey and Sappy have been a grossly mismatched couple and their so-called romance never displayed a hint of authenticity…..I’ve seen not one ounce of chemistry or passion demonstrated by either party in what has been a completely awkward and unconvincing pairing that has simply smacked of contrivance and convenience….let’s face it, the showrunners only fast-tracked this twosome due to their desperation to create a plot point for an otherwise floundering character that continues to have no real purpose in Port Charles. One can only hope that once Sappy’s whopper of a pregnancy prevarication is made public, then the end of this failed duo is in sight….Perhaps Michael will even finally wake up, smell the coffee, and reunite with Kiki, because whilst she can be immature and exasperating, she certainly doesn’t deserve to be stuck long-term with that loser Morgan. He gets weirder with each passing day, and at least she has a genuine, loving history with her former beau…..they could be seriously right for each other this time around, particularly when one considers how both have gone through so much trauma since their previous parting. What do I think about this Kiki and Michael!….Hmmmm. Good question. This is a new chapter in the Kiki storyline for so many reasons. Kristen is not only gone, but she and Chad are no longer an item….this does make it easier, if there were to be a rekindled relationship between the characters. It would have been awkward, I would say, otherwise.
But, quite frankly, I don’t know, Shay. I really am liking this Kiki…FINALLY. She has proven herself to me, as both an actress and a personable character. I never thought anyone could take Kristen’s place.
I like her best without Morgan. Perhaps, if TPTB would decide to color him with a ‘mature’ crayon, he would be more acceptable. But, as I have already stated, this sudden explosion of erratic behavior is misplaced at this point.
Anyway, Shay (that rhymes..lol), the only way for me to make a sound judgment would be by seeing Michael and Kiki interact. We really have not had a taste of that, except with Morgan in tow, creating mischief. It would be interesting to see. I definitely do not want Sabrina and he together now. I was all for it before. As soon as she donned her dishonest dress? Well, I bailed. See-ya latah, bambina.

OMG, Harry…..your Sonny quip was hilarious! I once observed that those widely-distributed Corinthos seeds couldn’t have been flung more hither and thither if they’d been launched from an industrial-strength broadcast spreader…..and even though it was intended to be a joke, there was a real element of truth in that remark. Has any other character in the history of daytime drama ever approached SonnyBoy’s prolific propensity for procreation???? I certainly cannot think of any…..why even those famously departed GH philanderers, Edward Quartermaine and Mikkos Cassadine put together couldn’t match the sheer number of illegitimate spawns that Dimples’ loins have issued.

That’s just too funny, Harry. Sonny’s baby…how rich!! Your comment about his very fertile swimmers reminds me of a GOLDEN GIRLS’s episode where Sofia says that back in Sicily, all a girl had to do was cross the street and voila’, she’d find herself pregnant.
The “lie” was not needed at all in order for their to be soapy drama between Liz, Jason, Patrick, Sam and the kids. Lake/Liason and Samtrick should have had equal love stories and wham out comes the truth via Carly/Spinelli at one of the couples weddings.
Liz vs Carly is always entertaining when both women are written true to character and Liz is written as her feisty self!
I agree the couples should’ve been on a level playing field. No lie needed. The angst would be believable & could’ve had fans & characters truly torn.
If Liz ends up pregnant, I bet the show is going to have Danny ill and use the baby for his recovery. I want Liz to finally have her little girl since she has three loud and rowdy boys!
Elizabeth and Jason part deux are showing all those Super Couple traits, now all we need is the angst coming next week, game set and match. Billy Miller and Rebecca Herbst have completely pulled me back in. These two actors are GOLDEN and have all the ingredients for the perfect old daytime serial pairing. The storm is coming but I hope the powers that be finally give all the Liason fans the love story we have wanted for 16+years.

It’s just so sick and wrong for any woman to do this….and yet the Sapster acts like she’s perfectly justified in doing so. I cannot wait until she gets her comeuppance for this latest stunt! I would finally love to see a story written for Elizabeth and Jason. It has been 16+ years in the making. I loved Liason with Steve Burton but for one reason or another they were never given a chance of a lasting relationship. Billy and Becky have a natural chemistry that is unparalleled. And it became more evident in the past two months with Jean & Shelly’s writing. They have shared more sweet, loving & tender moments and family time with the boys. Something that was missing from RC’s writing. IMO, he didn’t write good soapy romance for any couple during his time at GH. I hope Jean and Shelly have the freedom to write a beautiful layered love story for Liason once and for all after the fall out of the lie.
With JT leaving, Samtrick will be done. I was never sold on their relationship; all she talked about was Jason. Patrick never got a POV.
I completely agree with your post Eleanor. I’ve loved Elizabeth & Jason & have waited for them to be a Real couple for 16 years as well. I love the Herbst-Miller chemistry and find them playful, flirty, humorous, sensual, easy going and so naturally comfortable with each other. They are like capturing Lightening in a Bottle– unique and so easy to become completely captivated and invested in.
I am very grateful that we now have JP & SA to steer this GH ship now. They inherited a real mess, but have taken a Trash S/L & turned it into Treasure. Past Regimes had their agendas to keep nearly ruin Rebecca Herbst’s character/career. Even though RC decided to put Becky & Billy together as a pairing, I think his ultimate plan was to further ruin Elizabeth Webber with this stupid Lie he concocted.
But a funny thing happened on the way to Liz’s destruction–The Chemistry & Popularity between Becky & Billy began to take on a Life of it’s own. Fortunately JP & SA saw this and IMO they are writing for what is best for GH and not pandering to one fanbases whims. The writing has gotten so much better and is far more compelling than under RC’s pen. Having two women writers make a big difference how romance, relationship & couples should be written, IMHO. RC was sorely lacking in those areas.
As for the fanbase wars, I honestly do not understand the vitriolic hate for a fictional character. Sadly, that fanbase now are acting out like a petulant child who is not getting their way. Sorry, but I have no sympathy. When they have to wait years for their girl just to get onscreen and out from behind the Nurses Station and 16 years to get their couple, then they can complain. We had to sit thru their crap couple for years–so they can suck it up, buttercup.
Rebecca Herbst has spun Gold with the S/L she’s been given and she is Rocking it with her Talent & the great dialogue she’s been given lately–Liz is taking no prisoners & for that I’m glad. No Tire Tracks on her back this time around.
Steve Burton once said that LIASON was the Greatest Love Story Never Told–Well we are finally, blissfully getting to see our Dreams realized–Our Happily Ever After–even though we know that on Soaps- Nothing ever Lasts, nor is it ever really over. I’ve been thrilled & grateful to be on this Wild Ride & will hang onto every second while it lasts. jmho
The idea of chemistry is very subjective. While personally I see chemistry between BH/BM I am stunned at how much negative feed back they are getting all 9th social media. Outside of hard core Liz/Jason fans, this story and the emasculation of Jason has really garnered so much negativity. Jason as a character has been decimated beyond belief. There is a reason Jason Q was not a very popular character and this reincarnation is worse than Jason Q. I honestly hope that once this story is wrapped up, they can take time to redevelop the character again to what was once a great and complex individual. I know the mob is not popular but Miller seems to raise his acting a notch when he is around an actor with presence and so far LW has been the one to bring that out of him. There is a gentleness to him that does not border on being sappy like he becomes around Liz and yet he also has a presence that imposes itself in the scene whereas with Liz he appears to be more for lack of a better word a prop.
I love romance, and I don’t want Jason to revert to being “stone cold” killer again, but this lovey-dovey stuff with Elizabeth is just tooooooo domestic for me…and will be for Jason, ultimately….I hope. I guess I’m not as forgiving of Liz as some others who want them together, and I really don’t get the chemistry that others see. Prefer him with Sam if he has to be with someone.

Hate what’s going on! Jason has always been weak for Liz! I never thought I would say this, because I am a Jasammer, I hope Sam just give up, let jason stay with Liz, he deserves liz. Because in a few minutes when she have him and they are all cozy, she will sleep with Nicholas or Rick or somebody, its her nature, “sleeping around, cheating”. And jjason deserves it. The way he’s been treating Sam. Not thinking about how she’s feeling. I know he don’t remember her but dang! He should have left liz just on the strength that he is a married man!
He was kinder to Hayden & she was a fake wife! I could say move out long enough to let folks heal but Sam didn’t move out from Patrick either. They all need Dr. Maddox. I do agree let Liz have him so she can cheat on him! She’s already dumped him twice. Once for Ric, then over Hayden 3 months later. She was then engaged to Ric again at Nurse’s Ball. She went w/Ric, accepted his proposal, left w/Jakeson & had sex with him.
I wanted to have a smacking faces lineup with Patrick (because of his demanding Sam & hi constant hatred of Jason), Nik (because how he said Liz had been through so much & always loved Jason & he will mess up her chance), Laura (for keeping the damn secret because of her wittle Nicky).
I want Sam back with Jason. Don’t want Liz to be pregnant (poor Gram with the babysitting!) Patrick should go with Liz, who he thinks is such a honest person, since that is who Robin wanted Patrick to be with if she diied.
When Patrick wanted to know who stole Baby Gabriel’s life and why, Sam was right by his side helping him. It was urgent & important for Patrick to know to get closure. Now, when Sam wants to find out who stole her/Danny/Jason’s future from them, knew his identity and why, Patrick goes off the rails! He said “Why? What difference does it make? Are you gonna break up him & Liz w/hopes of getting him back? What difference does it make if Liz did know? Let it go. Choose me.” What a motherf*cking , selfish IDIOT! Is he taking stupid pills? Somebody, possibly someone she loves very much, Nik, and someone Patrick loves very much, the woman he stood up for at her wedding, Liz, may have destroyed many, many lives including HIS & Emma’s w/this cover-up! Somebody hurt innocent people like Danny, Monica, Michael-why? Why isn’t it important for Sam to know her enemies? Why isn’t it important for Jason to choose his future based on truths not lies, not matter who he’s with or if he’s alone? Why isn’t it important that Liz’s kids get therapy if SHE is the one behind all of this, thus on the road to destroy her kids lives w/these lies? What about them? Who keeps a man away from his child & let him wonder out loud if he has children? Who lets the man they say they love walk all over town with hit #2 on his back from Sonny, thinking Jake Doe killed Duke? All Liz had to do was tell Sonny he was Jason-DON’T SHOOT! When life or death is at stake it’s time to fess up!!!
What if Sam had said to Patrick when he NEEDED her help & NEEDED to know who ran he & Sabrina off the road, thus killing Gabriel, “Why? Let it go. What difference does it make? What’s done is done. Don’t honor your son’s life. Don’t seek truth. Stay stupid & not know your enemy?” She’d get ran off of the show. Sam’s there for everyone. Nobody’s stays there for Sam.
When Robin pops in in a couple days will Sam tell him to “leave her be? Don’t help her or find out where she’s really been or wonder if maybe he shouldn’t have divorced her so fast he should’ve, many times over, picked up that something was wrong & because what difference does it make? It’s just truth?” NO! She’ll be patient, kind & understanding. She would understand that Robin, Pat & Emma were victims, just like Jason, Danny & she is in all of this. Many others. Run Sam!
I love Jason and Elizabeth! I wish Elizabeth had told Jason the truth, but she didn’t. I still love them together. I would LOVE for another Liason baby. A girl! Carly has 4 kids. Sonny has 4+ kids. DAYS Sami Brady had 4 kids. Etc. etc. etc. Why not Elizabeth?!
I don’t know if I’m team liaison but I’m still team Liz , I don’t know if the show is setting up Liz to be the towns punching bag and I don’t really like Liz lying and acting desperate, I feel like the show wants to possition her as the girl Carly gets to smack around ( which I was pleasantly surprise when Liz told Carly off) still I’m not giving up on Liz even though I think at some point the show will put JASON back with Sam and leave Liz all by herself agian.
Liz dont need to become pregnant…writers dont really use all the kids she has as it is!…yes, Jason is all tender now but as soon as he learns Liz kept the truth from him he’ll be furious and turn into Jason Morgan, Sonnys sidekick!
This is true, jimh, not to mention the show doesn’t need anymore kiddos…period! One cannot find a more adorable crumpet than Avery…why can’t we just enjoy her and put a kibosh on the non-stop babymaking? The worst is Sappy’s ridiculous pregnancy….the manner in which she is deceiving the gullible Mikey into believing he’s her babydaddy is disgusting and cruel, and the fact that everyone seems completely oblivious to her advanced state of gestation is simply idiotic. There is nothing more revolting than trapping a man into a relationship via a child, and to do it with the “Bandito’s Bambino” makes it all the more loathsome….quite frankly, it sickens me. There is nothing entertaining about this storyline, and I wish it would just go away….along with the real prospective parents….at least Carrrrrr-LOS! now knows the truth about his paternal culpability, and I certainly hope he refuses to be denied the right to his offspring. If that doesn’t please the Sapster, well, that’s too bad….she’s the one to let Reee-verrrr-ahhh into her bed, now she should have to lie in it, without trying to deceive her way into the Quartermaine clan by hook or by crook.
I dont see a future for Sappy in PC…im hoping this marks the beginning of the end for her…hopefully Carlos only returned to take her away!…I want Anna to catch Carlos and prove he is alive…but i want Anna to be my new favorite hero and let Carappy leave together!
Liason are everything good about soaps. As a long time viewer I couldn’t be happier with the show. I walked away for a few years, but the amazing new writers have pulled me back in & now I can’t miss a moment. Billy Miller & Rebecca Herbst are absolutely magical to watch. I haven’t seen smoking hot, undeniable chemistry like this is years. The dialog has been so important, this is being told as a Liason love story all the way. These two were built on angst & I fully believe they will survive whatever happens. Liason have revived love in the afternoon, have brought viewers back to the show & reinvested those already watching. MillerHerbst truly make you feel every emotion, they made me fall back in love with GH.
I have nothing against the actress herself, but Sam is just an awful character. She had growth while with Patrick & now she’s regressing to the whiny, scheming, scandalous con artist she truly is. The only time I’ve found enjoyment with her character lately is when she got cursed.

[Does he have one left?] Robin and Patrick reunite and the three of them go off to Paris and Sam can fight for HER man! Funny thing, if this Jason is really never Jason Q or Jason M and is his own version of Jason, maybe him and Carly fall in love and both Liz and Sam are left with their jaws to the ground!
That’s what I was wondering! This Carly has good chemistry with this Jason.
What I really want is for Jason to remember everything… Even his Quartermaine roots. He will be a new version of JQ and potentially be paired with anyone. He’d even be great with Jordan… She’s a great actress. Lots of possibilities here.

HELL NO! This storyline is horrible and an insult to fans who have been watching since before jasam! We have watched from the very start of their relationship and feel that history is being rewritten and it’s a huge slap in the face to us. Super couples break up, yes, like frisco and Felicia and Luke and Laura etc but their history was never sh*t on the way jasam is and there wasn’t this horrible fan war. Putting fans against each other is going to blow up in their face. They fired RC and for what? The new writers are just picking up where he left off and frankly as much as I disliked his writing I think he would’ve done a better job than this! -Extremely disappointed fan of 40 yrs.

I will love you no matter what. I choose you forever, blah, blah, blah— famous last words that all soap men say to deceitful women in their lives before they find out the truth. Liz honey don’t believe him, just ask Britt Nikolas said something along the same lines just before he kicked her to the curb for lying to him. Soaps do this all the time, the “bad” girl tries to do the noble thing, but the man doesn’t let her, then swears his undying love, finds out the truth then dumps her. Sam and Jason reuniting at some point is a certain as a trouble youth arriving in Soapsville USA in summer time– some things are just written in stone in soaps, and Liz’s fate was sealed the day she decided to lie to him about who he was.
I agree, Mary. And if Lizzy really was trying to do the noble thing she would finally come clean. Laura was proven right–Jason’s love for Lizzy remained strong even after finding out the truth of his identity. Therefore, she could have told him the truth and he would have stayed with her anyway. But her insecurity and neediness overtook her sense of right and wrong and what she will ultimately end up with is a self-fulfilling prophesy.
That is the only way for Lizzie to save her soul and her relationship with Jason….come clean. It’s not too late.
Honestly I ff all there scenes. Jason is the most boring character and Liz is really not even enjoyable to watch anymore. I am far more interested in Sam/Patrick, at least they are both sane.
I don’t know about Sam’s sanity, lovesam. Devising a way to get Jason at Patrick’s was an act of desperation. Her decisions are questionable. They’re all nuts.
Any interest I had in yesterday’s Jake/Liz, Sam/Patrick, and Laura/Nic scenes was brought to a screeching halt by the show’s insistence on shoehorning the Corinthos family into every episode.
The only way to save the mess this story has become is for Jason to turn his back on Sonny and the mob leaving Sonny so bereft that he takes his entire family and moves far far away forever. Oh yeah, and have Jason choose Liz.
Sam will end up with Jason as eventually it will come out that Elizabeth knew his true identity way before he did. Jason will experience a flood of memories about Sam at some point in the future, so that will be the icing on the cake. These seem to be givens in The Land of Soaps…
This episode was not seen in new york or california because of the shooting.I believe it will be rerun today.Howvever, it might be interrupted again, for more coverage today.I do not understand how you saw this episode unless you watch online everyday.The entire country did not see this episode yesterday and you gave the whole show away.
Sam, I didn’t see yesterday’s show (wasn’t going to watch anyway because it seemed to dwell on Borgan suddenly manifesting signs of bipolar disorder) out of nowhere) but what Fairman describes above was seen on Tuesday, not Wednesday so nothing was given away.
But one of the last queries was for naught. Fairman asks if we think Sam and Patrick will get married. I think we already know the answer to that since if has been announced everywhere that Jason Thompson (Patrick) has left the show.

The fans in Liz’s corner act like she told a little “fib.” If you recall she broke up with Rick, again, who I believe she loved and could have been happy with…because he lied to her. Lied to Jason. Was so desperately in love with her…to hold on to her…that he schemed to keep her! She was appalled, aghast, indignant, unforgiving.
And so…she lied, withheld the truth, manipulated and schemed to hold on to Jason.
Wish Patrick wasn’t being written off. Since he is…Jason and Sam have my vote…

Not really a “fan” of either Liz or Sam but at least Liz is willing to go after what she wants. Sam just sits around “processing” everything and whining about this supposedly great love she had (and let’s be honest, how much rooting value is there for a con artist and an emotionless mob enforcer?).

He really loves her and prior to their discovery ‘re Jake-Jason he was just so elated at their harmonious little family…bonding with Danny, Emma’s acceptance and love for Sam. He’s been through the emotional wringer…as had Sabrina when she suffered the same fate when Robin returned…

I can’t condone her behavior & often his behavior w/her. Patrick gets on my nerves, too, because Sam’s been crying & talking about Jason and/or Jake their entire relationship. I’d have fled before the move-in. He has had to drag Sam each step of their relationship. She always resists but later caves in. Sam would never walk down the aisle this fast. Patrick’s had like 5 women in like 2-3 yrs & 2 he tried to get down the aisle. Sabrina & Robin gave him time to clear his head & emotions when Robin came back from the dead. He took over a month & they didn’t pressure him like he is w/Sam. Sam recommitted too fast but he should have known it’s too soon. It’s been 2 wks.

As a gh fan with all my couple alliances relegated to couples from the past I have to say the Liz/Jason pairing is probably one of the worst pairings I have seen on a soap which is sad because Becky has great chemistry with both BM and SBu. There is just something about the character of Liz that ruins every guy that she is paired. But the one thing that stands out in regards to Jason and Liz is the utter destruction of other characters it takes to make them happen. Back in 2006/7 we saw the mass slaughtering of Alexis/Ric/Sam/Lucky all so Jason and Liz could happen. Then in 2012 again we saw the Sam/Jason written so out of character and I say this as someone who has no use for Jason and Sam but one thing consistent abt that character was her distrust/disdain for law enforcement and to see her canoodling with a cop who told her his purpose in town was to take out her husband was completely out of character, I mean this is the woman who at the peak of her hatred for Jason could have testified against him but chose not to, so that writing did not ring true to character. On the other hand was Jason, a man who had never met a pregnant woman he didn’t want to marry suddenly turn on his wife because she was carrying a child that might have possibly been conceived via rape by his enemy. Now I know Jason can be an ass but that was one situation where Jason would have never been one. And all this was done to facilitate Jason/Liz and offcourse FV’s desire to pair ME/Kemo.
And here we are 2012 and once again Jason has been completely emasculated just so he can be with Liz. Personally I don’t see chemistry with BM/KM so this is again not about Jasam. This story should have been about Jason rediscovering himself and become a full fleshed out character before tying him down into any pairings. Instead it turned into a story about Liz and Jason just floundering in her world. Now I know BM is a good actor but this Jake character is just not a good character and there really isn’t anything he brings to the canvas beyond being Liz’s appendage.
They need to reveal the lie, cutting their losses and reboot. At this point I don’t want to see Jason in anything related to Liz/Carly/Sam….BM is young enough he could even interact with Maxie/Lulu/Valerie age group. Just give us something new because the past 14 or so months have been exhausting intend of entertaining. Enough already..
I’ll give you the out of character writing for 2012 but you have to admit that it started before that for Jason. In what universe would he not only forgive (yeah I may see that) but actually fall back in love and marry the woman who put his son in danger. I know a lot of people don’t like the past brought up but if I live to be 100 I will never understand that one.

Most of the social media I read, facebook GH page, etc, not sure if I can name them here, are ready for Jason & Sam. I think folks got tired of waiting over a year & after Ron’s last trick, making us think the reveal would be at Nurse’s Ball & it was just revealed to Liz & she lied, so they fled. That’s when ratings fell. Week of his reveal & at the non-wedding of Jake & Liz the ratings rose a whopping 250,000! I have NO doubt it was because of the reveal because no other sl’s changed. But we were tricked again by new writers. Liz isn’t outed yet & Sam & Patrick cry but go home together. Liz & Jason cry but go home together. Nothing changed. Jason is still being made a fool of & everyone’s miserable. More dragggggggg! The ratings are going back down now. It’s the only trend I see in regard to the rise & fall of the ratings. Guess time will tell.

Jason is still Jason. memories or not. and JASON saw a friend in Sam (after she got over wanting him arrested) and he fell in LOVE with Liz. You don’t need memories to love someone. He doesn’t love Sam.

Almost all relationships on soaps have the couple lying. the lie is a non factor to me. hes made it clear that he would have chosen Liz anyway.
The truth isn’t going to make him magically love Sam. He will be hurt, he may need space but the lie reveal is not a light switch that will turn off his love for Liz and on love for Sam
For me personally BH has never sold me on a love story or a romantic leading lady type. Visually she looks good with pretty much any guy but when in action, something about her portrayal falls short. I tend to blame this on the fact that she is a mother and it carries over into her acting where for the weaker guys she ends up mothering them instead of romancing them. Interestingly, her only pairings in which I saw a man and a woman and not a boy and his mommy was Liric and Niz. The rest are just no no. Miller is a Chem master. Just check out his scenes with Amelia, Liz Hendrickson and Sharon case…..the chemistry is natural and effortless. With Lake I could/can tell BH is trying hard to sell the pairing that it loses its authenticity. Miller is also a “commit fully” to the scene and BH holds back that their intimate scenes and kissing are just cringeworthy. You have Billy with mouth open and BH with lips shut tight that the kiss looks like Jake is eating Liz and not in a secure way at all.
They need to end this mess and like miller said, let him out to finally play. That statement spoke volumes on how he has viewed the story his been tasked to play for the last year. For the sake of the show, this needs to end. They given Jake/Liz everything under the sun even to the extent of literally making the so called lie a moot point and it’s not working. I mean kudos to them for trying as they’ve been told Liz/Jason were a ratings bonanza and sadly they like others before them who tried are learning the hard way…..loud and organised does not equal large fanbase. It just means the handful of them have enough time on their hands to make noise……
I am giving GH till the end 9th the year and if nothing changes, it’s time to bid GH farewell. I don’t wish cancellation because if it’s canceled then hope is gone, if it’s on the air, at least you pray that someone capable will come around and right this ship but that said, when a show stops entertaining you and feels more like a chore and really crappy 9th at that, it’s time to take a breather.
Nice post. Jason’s chemistry w/Liz is like brother/sister. He just pecks her on the mouth. I’ve seen his hot, hot, hot love scenes on Y&R w/several folks. Billy & Victoria were where it was at though. I’m still waiting for that to come out of him over here at GH. I have no doubt he’s saving it for when Jason & Sam reunite. That kiss a few wks ago between them told me all I need to know! It was electric & was probably half-ass. They will even be hotter. GH needs to get it together & go to the next stage of this sl. It’s barely moved in a year.

I have been watching GH for twenty years, that’s why I’ve been pulling for Jason and Liz. I hate all the breakups lately and I’ve actually thought about no longer watching. It is after all just a soap.

51st Daytime Emmys: Outstanding Daytime Drama Series Nominations
On Thursday, the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards revealed nominations in several key categories via four entertainment news programs: Access Hollywood, E! News, Extra and Access Hollywood.
Three of the four announcements were major categories in the field of Daytime Dramas.
The nominees in the Outstanding Daytime Drama Series category are: The Bay, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, Neighbours and The Young and the Restless.

General Hospital won this category last year, and has the most all-time wins for a series in this category. For the first time, the beloved Australian-based soap opera, Neighbours is now eligible for competition due to its reboot which streams on Amazon Freevee.

The 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be handed out in ceremonies in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ on Friday night, June 7th.
Previous categories announced tonight via the entertainment news outlet included: Lead Actor and Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

51st Daytime Emmys: Tamara Braun, Finola Hughes, Katherine Kelly Lang, Annika Noelle, Michelle Stafford, Cynthia Watros Score Lead Actress Nominations
The nominations were revealed for the 51st annual Daytime Emmys. in the prestigious Lead Actress in a Drama Series category by Entertainment Tonight.
This comes ahead of tomorrow’s full list that is set to be unveiled at 12noon/9am PST on Friday.
In the running for this year’s Outstanding Lead Actress are Tamara Braun (Ava, Days of our Lives), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, The Bold and the Beautiful), Annika Noelle (Hope, The Bold and the Beautiful), Finola Hughes (Anna, General Hospital), Cynthia Watros (Nina, General Hospital) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, The Young and the Restless).

Previous winners in this category include GH’s Finola Hughes, Cynthia Watros and Y&R’s Michelle Stafford. Days of our Lives nominee had won in the Supporting Actress category twice in her career.

More of the Story on ‘General Hospital’ Star Josh Kelly’s Latest Film Role in ‘The Workout’
We had previously shared that General Hospital’s Josh Kelly was taking three weeks away from his role of Cody Bell to a shoot a role in an upcoming movie entitled The Workout.
Josh originally revealed his role in the film during an episode of GH castmates, Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson’s (Spinelli) podcast.
Now Deadline has filled in some of the blanks, and shared some intriguing intel on the premise of the film and its back-story. The film stars Kelly along with Peter Jae, and UFC Fighter, Ashlee Evans-Smith. Other cast members include The Bay’s Kristos Andrews.

In The Workout, two army rangers set out to create a workout video, but their plans are abruptly halted when a mob hit interrupts their filming. Tragically, one of the rangers loses his wife in the attack, sending him on a relentless mission to take down the mob and anyone who stands in his way.
The film from James Cullen Bressack, almost did not get financed. Apparently, ten days before his birthday, Bressack made a post on Instagram about the feature and production, casting, and financing came from the post … illustrating the power of social media. After the post gained traction, a producer provided financing and actors expressed interest in joining the project, leading to a quick production.

In a statement, Bressack shared, “As artists a painter paints, a musician makes music, a writer writes, but as filmmakers we have to ask permission to create. It’s time to change that narrative. This film spawned from a necessity to create. We create. We tell stories. We play pretend. I’m excited to take this journey. This is the truest form of collaboration and a community of friends coming together to make something fun. While our industry has had a rough time recently with strikes and a possible strike looming in the future, it’s nice to remind ourselves why we got into film to begin with. To have fun telling stories.”
No word yet on when The Workout will be released.
