GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sam Makes A Confession, "Jason, I Never Stopped Loving You"

Courtesy/ABC

Being stuck in the rubble of an earthquake together brings about changes in dynamics, heartfelt confessions, and more on this week’s episodes of General Hospital.

And finally, after months of dancing around her feelings, an emotional Sam (Kelly Monaco), who has been saved by Jason from certain doom following the quake, bares her soul to him in a highly-anticipated moment for JaSam fans. Sam expresses to her longtime love all that has been bottled up inside of her since his sudden return to Port Charles, after believing he was dead for five years, and amidst the confusion being married and in love with his “twin” Drew.

She says to Jason: “I knew it was you that night on the pier and when you came into my hospital room the next day.  I knew it was you, my eyes were closed and you didn’t have to say anything.  I couldn’t say anything, because I couldn’t hurt him.  Every day I had to tell myself that this nightmare was over, because you’re alive. I know I told you to keep your distance, but I didn’t really mean that. Every day I was hoping I would run into you for a couple of minutes, or a couple of seconds, so I could hear your voice. see your eyes. I know I am not supposed to be saying this, but I don’t care.  I love you.  Jason, I never stopped loving you.”

An emotional Jason tells Sam he loves her, too.  The scene was played with perfection by Kelly Monaco, as well as Burton.  But now where to these two characters go from here? Stay tuned!

So, what did you think of Sam’s confession to Jason? Comment below!

So what triggered Sam’s reality check?

Was it the earthquake, or the chance encounter with poor old Mike who thought Jason was still her husband. Or possibly both?

Either way, it’s about time she admitted it.

Hey, Satan,
Sam should have admitted it the first time she had sex with Drew—different men, ‘un’similar body parts….same as a finger print….
Lovemaking is so intimate that a woman KNOWS her way around her husband’s, lover’s, partner’s body. Plus, I would think that every man ( I assume, logically) has his particular style of making love, where the lovers ‘love’ in concert, as one, each partner knowing what the other likes, by memory.
Sam could not tell she was doing it with someone else? Yeah, it’s a soap….not real…
TPTB are a little late—-and, Sam liked it. Maybe, she’ll keep both. Ha!

I knew Sam was hiding her feelings from Drew, Jason, and even herself.. she was so out of herself, she wasn’t acting like Sam. She was fighting herself, she kept having flashbacks of certain events of her and Jason. Who has flashbacks of an earlier marriage to someone else on their wedding day. Did Laura? No. Did Liz? No. That should have stopped her, but she didn’t won’t to hurt Drew.I think that Nathan’s death and the grief maxie was going thru set it in motion.. she told Jason her feelings then. Then she did another about face until Danny’s sleepover, and now with the near death of Sam & Jason. She couldn’t hold any longer, she had to tell Jason.. great writing. And bravo to Kelly & Steve for this performance..I have been waiting for this since the first day we found out that or beloved Steve Burton aka Jason Morgan was coming back home.. outstanding.. love it!!

Sam and Jason belong together they are a power couple when they were together they need to talk more and they will figure out stuff together they aren’t ever going to stop loving each other myself I love Jason and Sam they have great chemistry her and drew has no chemistry she loves Jason always will ❤

Her heart couldn’t take it any longer, so thought they were going to die so she told him the truth.

JaSam

I am glad for all those who are rooting for this couple– personally it doesn’t matter to me which one she is with because I am not a fan of the character as a whole. The only thing that I don’t like is this admission means Carly was right and Carly won’t anyone forget it LOL

You said it, Mary….could care less!!

I thought about the same thing, Mary SF. It will be I told you so time from Carly who I don’t like.

Mary, I totally agree. Carly’s obsession with Jason and vile treatment of Drew, who just saved ANOTHER of her loved one’s lives, will be vindicated ad nauseam. But even though I hate Drew being hurt again, maybe it’s for the best if that silly Sam can’t realize her life would be safer and happier with Drew (my opinion only).

Snooze…who did not see the predictable coming????????

Sam and Jason another no change rerun all reruns being played…!!!!!!!!!!

Thing is; Change is life. (soaps are dying, most likely from no change)
We live through changes from puberty and the pains of being old through inevitable medical issues. We get married, graduate from school, switch careers several times, move across the country, get in terrible accidents, lose our parents, discover hobbies we love that we never knew about, fall in and out of love, change life syles, change paertners, move on to change of new begingins with new loves, but soaps never change they revert backwards and nothing changes.

By changing nothing, nothing changes.

The writters and most fans are Metathesiophobia’s <- had to look up the spelling lol Fear of Change Phobia.
Change freaks out some people so never give them change= soap writers.
The writers, they don't want anything different from what they already have. The writers and some fans have a comfort zone that they do not wish to disrupt by bringing anything unfamiliar into their lives.

(( as no change for Sam and Jason after decreds, fear to let them move on and having need to hold on to the same old junk never changing junk fear to make a change..

0ohh this is a good one;
study participants were given a piece of European chocolate. It was described to them as having first been sold in its region either 73 years ago or 3 years ago. Guess which group rated the chocolate as better-tasting. Yup, you're right lol
((I come from a family of Phyicrists, and I hear them taling of such things, I head that a couple weeks back.

The soaps need change, to move forward into new, new changes to survive. ..
No growth no change is death..

!!! no more Sam and Jason !!! decades of that same old story is tiresome.
Sam and Jason decades old rerun …

Ok I am so sorry but WHAT???!!! Yes change is great I mean I agree on that part BUT love is love!!! I grew up I changed my job for a career. I changed my single status to married to my bff. . I changed my career for my passion so I can work from home!! I changed my family of 2 to a family of 3. You know what never changed my love for my best friend whom became my husband!! My soulmate!! You can’t change what is meant to be you also can’t change what is in your heart!! Sam grew up and yeah she changed but you know what didn’t change her heart!! There are some things that one cannot change and that is buried deep in your soul. Its called true love, passion and that sense of completion!!

Suuuu…

We’ve been on this site long enough (and heard about fans on Twitter, etc, who fight over “ships”) to know that it’s not the writers fault if things stay the same. Just look at the hysteria of adding a child to Anna’s “history”, to giving Franco a back story with Drew, of adding new characters, etc. This doesn’t even change history; it’s adding to it which helps evolve stories and create new ones. I, personally, like new characters and added history that we didn’t know about..but many don’t. If the powers-that-be want to keep the show on the air they have to tread delicately.

As for Sam and Jason. The writers very creatively and realistically (in my opinion) have shown the conflict of a woman who genuinely loves two men…both her husbands, both father to her children. And the line is SO divided between fans who want to see Sam back with Jason and those who want her to stay with Drew. Obviously, many who were longtime fans of Sam and Jason were rooting for their long-awaited reunion and very angry that Sam didn’t fall back into Jason’s arms. Other fans felt it was a slap in the face to Drew. But the story is so much more than that: finding out who Drew really is (in terms of his memories, his life before…DID he love Kim? His history with Franco, etc.) My point is the story is evolving. If they do unite Sam and Jason, well, in real life a love like that just doesn’t die. When a person who you were so deeply in love with and thought dead is suddenly back well, even if you had moved on that love would probably be overwhelming; the emotions overpowering; still there. Though I like Drew and Sam it was extremely frustrating to not see Sam run back into Jason’s arms if only for a stolen moment.

Anyway. I don’t think the writers have a “fear of letting Sam move on.” I think they tried that and have gotten a lot of Jason/Sam outcry. Ultimately, as we know, soaps are a business and just like with fan outcry over Genie Francis, if they want to keep the show on the air they have to respect (even though it seems they don’t respect at times) fan opinion.

I don’t think you watched the Sam and Jason years. Perhaps I’m wrong? But putting a couple back together who were a much-loved couple is not death for a soap. Most don[‘t watch a soap to see people get together and break apart. We watch them because they’re familiar, we “know” them and we’re involved in their lives (fictional as they may be, 😉 )

Soaps aren’t weekly shows with a new episode. We tune in to see the familiar faces, couples, families. That’s what they’re about. And, like in real life, if couples do break apart it’s usually for realistic reasons; infidelity, abuse, growing apart, etc. Sam and Jason didn’t ‘break up.” She thought him dead. She grieved deeply for a very long time. It would be worse on the writers parts to act like his coming back meant nothing to her. That just because she loved Drew that her feelings for Jason were gone. It was completely realistic to see her torn and her internal conflict. That is what soaps are about. People.

And, to refute your chocolate analogy…you DO know that mid-century furniture has been/sill is all the rage? Even amongst 20-somethings? What’s old always makes a comeback!

Dear Miss Suoo and Miss Rebecca:
I hope at this point in our relationship, (WHAT? Neither one of you didn’t know we had a relationship? I am outraged, outraged, I tell ya! I want my friendship ring back It cost me $2.69 in the gumball machine) you both realize that despite our contrary opinions, I like and respect you both a great deal. However, I feel that making the argument that viewers hate a particular storyline because they hate change is a bit of a straw man’s argument. For example, the reason I hate Anna’s storyline is it does not play fidelity to her character’s psyche and it doesn’t play fidelity to her history either. There is no way in hell I can envision Anna having consensual sex with her own personal Satan–nope, she would not do it. As I see it, they are trying once again to force feed a card board character (Peter) into Anna’s orbit. As I recall they once tried to rewrite history in such a way as to make us believe that while in the flush of their new and exciting romance, Luke cheated on Laura with Holly resulting in Ethan, and those puzzle pizzas did not fit in conjunction with character history, time and place either. So you see, Miss SUOO and Miss Rebecca, it’s not change to which I object (I was kidding about owning a jitterbug phone) but rather, really bad plot driven writing.
Okay, I have to see if I can fix my 8 Track now—Hall and Oates are waiting.

I understand what you’re saying, su….I think.
It’s a soap, and as such, situations, premises, sometimes people, need to change and evolve, in order to keep our interest going and our minds open and attuned…..
Perhaps, there are women as Sam, one man after another, in real life….but, I doubt it’s the norm with the majority of ‘regular’ people.
However, we cannot compare ourselves to a soap character.
I do believe this is what you mean? Soaps should forever choose different venues, paths…. without blinders.
I think I, also, understand the psyche in your chocolate theory….however one cannot generalize and say this is so……
Everything changes, yet stays the same….things change but the memories stay the same—-well, in Sam’s case she must have a caravan of love/passion memories. Can she keep them aligned?
I do want to see Jason and Sam together, only because it will be a novelty for me….a new couple.
I don’t want to put the cart before the horse, but considering Sam’s ‘un’inspiration, I just don’t know….we shall see. Will it be a repetition of Alexis and Julian? Will I be privy to intelligent conversation?
It will be a change for me, SuzieQ. I can’t imagine what else can be told about these two which wasn’t already told.
Someone said bringing Sam and Jason together again is not the story. I hope so…this story, especially if it involves Drew, Peter and Faison ( Satan rest his soulless essence) …….stay tuned? That’s change……stirring the same pot, but change, nonetheless.
As far as I’m concerned Drew, Sam and Jason will forever be intertwined….and not just because of the kids they share.

Hello Harry…

Yep; I know we’re in a relationship…that darn old push/pull is so compelling that just like our soap characters…Alexis/Julian…Anna/Valentin… we keep coming back for more! But I must insist that you upgrade my ring to the $5.50 zirconia that the Shopping Network keeps teasing me with!

Where we differ is our perception of characters: I love Franco, I’ve liked Peter from the start and while you see cardboard I see washboard (if ya get my drift! 🙂 ) He’s vulnerable; intelligent, hurt, rejected yet underneath it all a good heart. So, I don’t care HOW they twist the story if I like the character. I’d rather see new characters I love than old ones who bore me…as long as they ring in the new with the old. I like Peter/Anna, Griffin/Anna, Andre/Anna, Valentin/Anna. I liked Nathan/Maxi, Dante/Lulu, Dante/Sonny. New characters thrown into an established character’s orb. Peter? As said, I like (which might very easily turn into love) him and I’m looking forward to where the story is going; I also like adding Drew and now the lil buddy story of Drew/Franco.

As for Su, everything I just mentioned IS change. If you’re a longtime viewer you know there are new characters/new stories and added history which in my opinion is important to keeping stories fresh and not rinse/repeat. And even then, there are only so many variations in a theme…that theme being life.

However, it doesn’t seem like our friend Su really likes soaps; or at least the daytime soap as it was conceived and still remains in some form. Some things SHOULDN’T change. If they do, they’re no longer what they once were. Meaning…the daytime soap would be gone and its place another format. Which might happen when all soaps sadly leave our lives for good, but while they’re here we tune in because they ARE the same.

As Woody Alan said: “It reminds me of that old joke- you know, a guy walks into a psychiatrist’s office and says, hey doc, my brother’s crazy! He thinks he’s a chicken. Then the doc says, why don’t you turn him in? Then the guy says, I would but I need the eggs. I guess that’s how I feel about relationships.”

Change “relationships” to soaps and that’s s why we don’t change them. We could tune them out and turn them off…but then we’d be without our fictional families and friends. The day will come. Until then…

Total snooze fest, jimh. I agree 1000%.

General Hospital is a boring go nowhere ” rerun ”
It needs new ideas and mostly to move forward.. it keeps going backward and that is reruns.

I could care less about Sam and Jason, they are old news a tiresome rerun..
GH needs New ..

Most everything is a has-been rerun..
godforbid there should be something new and exciting that doesn’t end up reverting into another rerun..

The era of soap operas in the US have been in serious decline. Lots of big name soaps have finally ended 🙁 gone forever.
Those that have stayed around are performing poorly in the Nielson ratings, in relation to how they were performing a decade ago. Huge decline..
American soap operas story can last for decades lol.. Telenovelas, on the other hand the stories last on average between 1-3 years but always pack a powerful punch right at the end.
And– the fun part——-
A major difference of Doaps and Telenovelas is that telenovela writers change scripts based on minute-to-minute viewer feedback..

The American Telenovelas could use the same soap cast/actors in different stories, more-so the American way and save tons of money therefore going on forever running a storie/stories for 1-3 years then end.
( $120,000 per episode not the usual soap cost which can run up to $2 million per episode.)
And That ^^^ keeps our soaps via American Telenovelas on air for coming decades 🙂
And– there will be change, yes change!!! No reruns of the same scripts for decades of reruns.

I am glad they are giving the fanatic fans their do now eat each other up make yourselfs stupifd make the actors think they are important! Start swinging ! 1 234 kick each other !

Sam and Jason are has-beens they are from a different era lol ..
Never changing it will be same junk with then because they are a total snooze.
It will be good for Drew/my Billy 🙂 to dump Sam because she will surely drag him down to her dullard level..

Jaason is Robot Man and Sam is Crying Woman..

The sooner Sam and Jason reunite the sooner they will become less relevant, doing much of nothing as always and off my screen,
Both are too old to be as once was and Jason is Sonny’s murderer/hitman and since there is no mob that makes Jason zeroed out.

After their month of reuniting passes they will be like a fart in the wind married and watching the bachelor for dullard lame excitement.
And Drew will be upfront doing his thing 🙂 He has many great stories ahead..

Jason and Sam= a decades old rerun..
Drew= New and exciting adventures ahead..

We had to know the story would lean towards this eventually. Not a bad thing but I do want to see more story for Drew.

Yes, James…Drew’s story will prove to be so much more interesting and challenging….whereas, Sam and Jason are at a standstill. What will they say to each other?….”oh, I love you so much….never stopped loving you.”……..etcetera, yadda, etcetera, yadda, and all that stuff….

And don’t forget, Celia, they get to pass that $1.99 symbol of love (cheap Phoenix trinket) back and forth like kids playing with a prize marble. I’ve decided Drew (and my beloved Billy) deserve more.

@Soaphound.
Hey, there,
HaHaHa….such everlasting ‘ expensive’ love!! Right ! You will hear me, loud and clear ( if I will be sllowed, LOL), if I smell nothing but nonsense between Jason and Sam. I have yet to hear her converse intelligently, and intelligibly…..it’s all about the men in her life; the men in her mother’s life, telling Lizzie what’s what ( as if she is such a sage when it comes to men), and her stilettos.
Yes, OUR beloved Billy deserves someone with a personality and a modicum of brains.
I like Kelly so much, Soaphound….I wish she were given a story with substance. Will I see it with Jason?

Saw this was gonna happen as soon Burton announced return. Wish GH writers could have come up with better story line

So overdue! now reunite them! ‘True love never dies’.

Awesome!

This has gone on way too long. Love Drew, but Sam and Jason are soulmates. Put them back together now before more viewers jump ship. Jason is Sam’s “Lobster”.

Sorry, but everytime I see Finn, I miss JOLIE. Lot of similarities between JASAM and JOLIE, especially how Jason always rescues Sam.

Would it kill Frank to give us some JOLIE closure. Just asking for one day where JOLIE needs to interact with Jordan or Anna so we know they found their way back to each other. Able to see Nora. Why not JOLIE after they pulled them apart on GH. Fans want that.

Gentry, pray tell, who is JOLIE?

I was not disappointed! Long time JaSam fan. It’s been tough hanging in there but Kelly Monaco nailed it! Steve Burton’s eyes said it all as they usually do. Just glad gh was finally true to these characters.

Completely agree!!!

I wasnt impressed. I thought I’d see their old chemistry on display but it’s just not there anymore. Sadly, their time has come and gone. I’m ready to see Jason move on to a new love interest.

Totally agree. Hoping Jason will move on but I doubt writers will allow.

I agree. I was never a fan of “Jasam.” Unfortunately, once anyone is paired with Kelly they become boring. I would like to see Jason paired with someone exciting and not saddled down with kids. But, that’s not meant to be..

Hey, dmr, is it just me or are Kelly’s line readings often indecipherable? Her acting is usually good, but her diction! I find myself putting up the closed-captioning during her scenes.

Perhaps, Jason will move on with Alexis, dmr, my friend.

@CeeCee…..But dmr said that she would like Jason to be paired with someone “exciting!” That would preclude Alexis, unless you think non-stop sexual shenanigans with no actual substance as a basis for a relationship is your idea of exciting…and I’m thinking NOT! Then there is that huge age difference thing…

All jasam fans have waited along time for Sam to admit her feelings to Jason I have watched the video numerous times and made me and I’m sure the whole jasam base want their reunion even more! Let’s get jasam reunited!!

I have waited 5 long years to see these two back in action on my screen!! They didn’t disappoint!! They set that screen on fire!! Hottest couple to ever grace GH!! Their chemistry is unmatched! I’m here patiently waiting on them to reunite!!

Love love love yesterday’s show!! This storyline has me in my feels and I can’t wait to see what you do with it!!! #teamjasam

Love Sam and Jason Together They belong together they are like the great loves of the past like Lila and Edward and audrey and Steve I have been a loyal viewer for 36 years and I love this couple so much. I hope they stay togerher. Great chemistry and their love will last always I was so disappointed when they killed Jason off then they bought billy in to play him but he wasn’t like Jason he didn’t have that Stine cold vibe or that chemistry with Sam Carly or Sonny now that the og Jason is back give him his life back don’t listen to threats listens to long time viewers who love the GH soap. We love Jasam” put them together

I loved it! About time! I have been watching since the beginning and there will never be a better couple than Jason and Sam

Well I guess this will make JaSam fans happy. Not me. I love Sam and Drew together. Maybe Sam will be pregnant with Drew’s second baby and she will stay with Drew. Probably not…..oh well, wishful thinking.

Jason and Sam belong together! I can’t believe that anyone would want anything different. I don’t understand why people would want Sam with Drew knowing that he isn’t the one that she wants. She said it herself she didn’t want to hurt him. Which means she was sacrificing her own happiness to make someone else feel better. How can anyone want Sam to be in a relationship and continue on lying to herself? How can you be in a relationship being unhappy?? So putting Jason and Sam back together is the right thing to do. And there is no point in saying that Sam shouldn’t be with Jason because of his line of work because the business never bothered Sam and when her and Jason get back together both of them will figure it out together on keeping the kids safe. Jason won’t let anything happen to Sam or the kids! ##JaSamreunion2018

I think everyone knew it she had to admit it and then her telling Drew at the end today when we get home we have to have a long talk. Her and Jason belong together but this triangle is far from over

thee … Max Gail – AND – Rebecca Herbst SHOW

“In time I will forget you.. it’s a damned shame”

” knowing the score… is 1/2 the battle. ” curtain close

Rebecca Herbst contained performance… just dropped me

Max Gail is sooo expressive.. and in the moment… not once over the top or feel sorry for .

how I wan this man to show some lucidity… we want to dance

culminating… as Franco shows up @the church … and fades out to a deep kiss

Elizabeth Webber : sublime character as good as it gets

“…Every day I was hoping I would run into you for a couple of minutes, or a couple of seconds ”

the clincher : ” A couple of Seconds” just a glimpse.. and her heart always knew

argh: there I go again ruining this : I want an edit button… I get so caught up in trying to get it

ie:: Sam : “…Every day I was hoping I would run into you for a couple of minutes, or a couple of seconds ”

agree w/ Satan… ITS ABOUT TIME

the clincher : ” A couple of Seconds” just a glimpse.. and her heart always knew

the writers totally lost track: ITS TIME TO SEE THE PASSION. Jason needs to make love for the world he’s so betrothed… his three year paycheck is not without our opine

so.. there was a last dance: that tremor of aftershock. LIVEN IT UP.

Sam: in the meantime

it’s moments glimpses of REALITY. that just sway me to hang on to this show

again: sublime

I was very happy that she said it. almost verbatim to what Carly told him. JaSam4Ever!!!!!
I’m excited, can’t wait for what happens next.

I think Sam is better and more herself when she is with Jason I like drew but not with Sam

I love Jason and Sam together, they are on

Awesome..

I have waited for this moment, Sam was herself again and she finally admitted her true feeling for Jason. They are true soulmates and deserve another chance to be a family with Danny and Scout.. I like Billy Miller but he was never a good fit for Jason. Sam (Kelly) and Jason (Steve) just fit together their chemistry is awesome, I have not seen anyone in a long time that just fits together and knows each other they can only get better. When they look into each other eyes it as if they are the only one in the room and that just a Super couple for me Love JaSam Forever!!!

It’s about time . Sam and drew are the worse pairing In gh history. I see absolutely no Chemistry between the two not even when drew was supposed to be Jason . I’ve been a jasam fan since day one and any true jasam fan will and would only want these two together. Hell any true sam and or Jason fan will and would only want these two paired . They absolutely complete each other always have

Ii torally agree

Yesssss!!! About time for Jason and Sam!!! Now GH do rite and get them together before you lose more GH fans

Jason & Sam belong together. They are the true Phoenix & Dragon. Soulmates….love Kelly & Steve’s chemistry. It’s off the charts. They have been through so much & should be together. Jasam always❤️

Drew deserves better. And younger. Kiki, toot that ass up.

To the JaSam fans I know I can’t win with what I am going to say but I’ll say it anyway — Sam and Jason may “belong together” but I am sorry Jason is the MOST BORING actor ever. Burton is my sleep inducer. That monotone voice, that brooding pathetic personality that borders on being wimpy. Drew is all man (and I love me some MEN). He walks like a man, acts like a man and doesn’t apologize for feeling how he feels. Look I know they are gonna put Sam and Jason together. Just do it. Cause then all we will see after is Jason beating up everyone in town. Sam complaining about Jason’s job and that same boring music that plays every time either Jason or Sam farts in the same room. They may belong together but that doesn’t make them a good couple. They are boring together. I just hope they put Drew with someone who deserves him. Not really sure it’s Kim. She obviously has the hots for Julian. *Sigh*, they always screw the pooch. And Drew is the pooch. I love me my Billy Miller, he deserves so much more than what they have given him. If I have to suffer with Jason and Sam , can we bring Helena back from the dead to put them both through their paces? Now that Faison is gone I need a good whack job to keep the nothings in line. Carly is best when she is wicked Carly. Fry Nelle, Carly. Fry her! Bring Helena back. Make Nina crazy for coco puffs again. Let’s see Ava bring about some justice. They have some potential but all I get is the same tired JaSam snoozefest. Put them together then send them out of town. Sam? You’re a fool. You’re passing up Drew for Mr No Personality. Those eyes will get boring after you realize that he has no depth. Or maybe, ummm…..well I’ll behave for now.

Thank you for your enlightening perspective…. thank you for making me not the only one that thinks Drew is way better than Jason….. Steve Burton has always been so boring to me……. I think the chemistry between Billy Miller and Kelly Monaco is way better than between Steve Burton and Kelly Monaco just my opinion…. Billy Miller actually made the character of Jason interesting and the only time that I liked character of Jason…. now it’s just a Jason Sonny and Carly show again and I don’t like that….

I like Billy Miller too, just not paired with Kelly Monaco. I find Sam to be incredibly boring.

Agree with dmr, Gloria……Billy is a star….as such, he needs to shine….and, it ‘ain’t’ with Sam…..she could bring the tallest tree down with her monotony and one-tone utterings.

I respectively have to disagree. The way I see it is Steve Burton out performed/acted Billy while sitting in a wheel chair, doped up on horse tranquilizers, with a mask on not saying a word!! His eyes say everything that needs to be said. They have never became boring to me and I have watched him since I was a little girl. I am 35 now. We all have different opinions…but we are worlds apart lol. Billy acts arrogant in my opinion…and he acts more like a man than Steve? I do not get that either. Jason puts aside his own feelings and desires to make those he loves happy. To me that is a real man. but again we will just have to disagree. But on another note..I can agree with one thing you said..FRY NELLE!!!

Well, christy…..that does not denote how well an actor/actress interacts with his/her counterpart. It only shows Steve’s acting….but, that’s all he can do, it seems. He broods….but, he is no Heathcliff.
I will not say more than this because I have yet not had the chance to see him and Sam together.
Sam is dull….Billy wasn’t…not as I knew him…..but, give him Sam and he loses all his luster.
I’ve already seen a little bit of Billy’s radiance with Kim….more, please!!

“… They may belong together but that doesn’t make them a good couple. ”

absolutely…

Sonny and Carly
Jason and Sam
Michael and Nelle

three of the most boring couples who suck up more than 1/2 the air time.

That’s ALL I say… GIVE US THE REST OF THE CAST

Steve Burton will never be as good of an actor is Billy Miller is… just my opinion and like I said before I don’t really care who who agrees and who doesn’t agree… Stteve Burton is BORING!!!!! Puts me to sleep….

Ok somebody correct me but when I was watching GH on a regular basis Sam was going to marry Silas and Patrick Drake so this undying love that everybody talks about is a little nauseating. I guess it also did not take a rocket scientist to figure out she went running to Drew when she thought Liz was going to marry him FYI Liz fell in love with Jake Doe her feelings were genuine funny how we white wash the character of Sam.

Thank you, my Kay. I won’t pretend to know Sam and Jason as a couple; however, I have mentioned a time or two ( LOL) that undying love does NOT make one ( in this case, Sam) oblivious to his ( Jason) lovemaking…..undying love makes one remember every word, whispered in passion, every caress, every gesture, every movement…….normally, lovers, who are so accustomed to each other, do exchange words while making love…..Sam did not seem to have clue…. if this was undying love, no way would she have forgotten Jason’s ‘imprint’. Ha!
…..so, as I have said, ad nauseam, it is a soap; yet a little reality goes a long way…..how many undying ‘loves’ did Sam have pre Jason, and how many after?
Yes, one must move on, when one loses one’s ‘undying’ ( Sam managed to do just that and then some) love….but one usually does tell the difference who’s who in bed with her/him.
No undying love this….but, I respectfully, give the Jason and Sam fans ‘congrats’….you have waited a long time.
I never liked Sam and Drew as a couple…..she managed to make Drew ( my Billy) as boring as she.
So, I pray to the almighty soap-gods on ‘Mount Hollywood’ that I will ‘like’ what Jason and Sam have to offer…..given a good storyline….yet, a magnificent actor/actress is always on top, gives it her/his and welcomes the challenge.

I never liked the character of Jason except when Billy was playing him…. I guess the general consensus is that Sam and Jason belong together too but I don’t feel that way I feel like she’s throwing Drew under the bus just like the writers…. Steve Burton is just drool to me… never liked him and probably never will…. I don’t really care who agrees and who doesn’t agree…..

I feel the same way, that Drew is being thrown under the bus by TPTB. I have watched the show since 1984, so I have watched “The Jasam Show”, and I’ve never been a fan. Although, I was not a fan of Drew and Sam, either. I don’t care for Monotone Sam. She bores me to tears.

I loved it! I have been waiting for her to admit it. Their chemistry is HOT! The way Jason looks at her.
I really like Drew and he and Sam are cute and very loving . But… he can get with someone else. Although now Kim and Julian are cute together too. What will happen with Alexis, Julian and Kim? Looking for forward to see what happens next with Jason, Sam, Drew etc. GH is soooo good right now!

Kelly came through the fire…finally admitting to herself as well
as Jason what we’ve known all along that she LOVES him.
He deserved that from her, for no other reason than it being
the truth…..Their each other’s end-game, it may take some
time…but they’ll get there.

Meant Sam….

You are so right, my lady….
By the same token, Drew deserves the truth as well. Sam held all the cards, and stringing someone along, whether intentionally or not, is not the thing….she tested the waters for too long, at both of the men’s expense. She was not protecting their hearts but her own. That’s selfish and irresponsible.
I admired Jason for giving Sam her space and losing her, if Drew made her happy. That’s true love….not so, Sam. Of course, there are those who will rxcuse her actions ( not wanting to hurt Drew) , but to me, that’s worse. I think Sam wanted her cake and eat it too. She is redeemed, but deep down, we do not sway far from our essence.
I don’t like Sam….she does not know her own self…she’s all over the place; and, not just with ‘her’ men.
The PTB should change this character’s game. Give her spunk….open her mouth to say something with consequence, instead of bashing Liz about Franco, by believing a complete stranger.
She and Jason seem to forget that Franco/Bobby was not much more than a baby—just a little boy!!
LOL, Fanny, I have an almost four-year-old….I can’t see my baby girl having thoughts of hurting her brother, or vice versa. …..know what I mean? Yeah, it’s a soap, LOL.
I guess I am too naive? This Harvey guy must have done a number on both boys. Perhaps, Betsy was trying to protect both boys from him. Who knows the atrocities he committed against the boys and Betsy, herself.
At the least, Drew and Franco suspect Harvey in Betsy’s disappearance. I appreciate Drew for wanting to get to the truth; whereas Jason and Sam have so easily dismissed them.
Sam and Jason should be as invested as Drew, considering he is still Sam’s husband and Jason’s twin. But, Sam’s brain is awash with such overwhelming love for Jason! Oh, my!

Its weird, Kelly and Billy are a couple in real life BUT I think Billy and Kim have better chemistry and we knew Jason and Sam would always find their way back to each other. I’m fine with it. She loved Jason. She moved on BUT her #1 love of her life resurfaced and that would be a dilemma, for sure! Notice I said her kids were not her #1 love of her life! She was safe at the Q mansion and she still had to go off with Jason to look for Drew. Well, I get that but her #1 priority is to stay alive for her kids. But having said all that, this quake put everyone in a place together to shift story lines and further shave the jagged edges off of Julian and Franco. Oh, and one last thing about being a good mother, with this quake, not only did we already expect Jordan to suck as the commissioner, she also sucks as a mother!

JASAM JASAM JASAM JASAM!!

I am glad she finally told him. I think dress character has made her pathetic. She thinks she can’t do Anything

Drew can never fill Jason’s shoes, SB is a power house actor and no body does Jason like SB. 🙂
.BM is a good actor but he will never be a Jason…. He is better at being Jason’s brother Drew,,, they should have never put BM in the role, because he sucked playing Jason..I like BM but not when he was Jason…

Jason and Sam are a super couple and in the end Jasam will reunite!!!
Drew well he will get back with his wife Kim.. in the end they will find out why she kept quiet about their marriage… but he is married to her…. and Jason and Sam will have the grandest wedding of the century… they deserve it.

WHEN BILLY MILLER IS GIVEN GREAT MATERIAL HE WILL RUN CIRCLES AROUND MOST ACTORS…….WHILE ON Y&R HE WAS THE BEST!!!!!!!!! as an actor he can fill anyones shoes!

We want jason and sam back together

It was a long time coming. You could see it in her eyes from the moment she saw Jason when he pulled her out of the water at the pier. It’s like the magic of Luke and Laura – if they got back tomorrow people would see the natural draw between them. Kudos to the writers and the director for pulling it all together. Drew will regain his memories and life will go on in Port Charles. An afterthought – I don’t think Steve B. should have been recast. There’s only one Jason.

Maybe things will be different this time. Jason might wear a gray t-shirt instead of black.

Ill be happy when they get together
I hope Danny will be in the mix
Love Jasam!!!

I have watched several people find true love after losing their first live. In the real world you can have more than one “true love”.
General Hospital cannot give up on the storyline that strong, intelligent, highly competent women cannot resist risking everything they have worked for because they have the hots for a bad boy, usually a mobster. Carly, Alexis, Diane, Elizabeth, Sam, Laura, an FBI agent, now even Anna! For years they have depicted these women turning into blitherIng idiots because of Sonny’s dimples or some other man with horrible flaws. It is overdone and really boring IMO.
To me it makes a lot of sense to allow that Sam has grown over the years and would choose man who was a Navy Seal over a guy who is a mob enforcer who puts her and her kids at risk. Her episode of psychosis during which she freaked out over the risk being associated with Sonny involves should not be disappeared. Drew is a man who, like Jason, is brave, strong and drawn to risk (as his Navy Seal background proves) but he has chosen not to be a criminal. What an insult to our soldiers if this show chooses to romanticize a mobster (no matter how kindhearted) over a war hero. It is long past time the show dropped the idea of women marrying their rapist or murderers. At least Maxie and Lulu chose men who risk their lives as policemen, not mobsters.

Now that’s what I’m talking about!!! Real heroes real men are not criminals… What gets me to is when a criminal like Julian buys a bar and just becomes a regular guy Sam keeps hating him… Like if that was my dad and he tried to straten out like Julian did why does Sam still hate him so much I don’t get that.. but Jason that has so much hate for people like Franco are okay???? And he’s a paid killer???? What a guy??? I understand characters are written with many aspects of their character but Jason is so one-dimensional it’s pitiful… Especially when Burton plays him..

I’ve been watching for years and was initially a big fan of the Jason and Sam story form early 2000s. The writing for them was so heartfelt and emotional back then. When they were broken up vis-à-vis the WGA strike, and Sam’s character was burned down (i.e. witnessing Jake’s kidnapping, hiring thugs to threaten Elizabeth, having Jason threaten to kill her) to prop up the Jason and Elizabeth love story, I never thought that Sam would be redeemed. I was surprised when Jason and Sam were put back together a few years later but I always felt they never regained their original connection. She was in a permanent state of atonement for Jake and constantly his sidekick girlfriend whenever he wasn’t busy tending to Carly, Sonny, Michael, and anyone else (didn’t Brenda stay with him for months?!) There was never any real movement in their relationship or evolution of Sam’s character. Not until they got married and she was pregnant. That was the first time I saw some growth in her. It takes a lot to pick your unborn baby (who may be the child of rape) over the man you are in love with (who wants nothing to do with that baby). 2012 saw Sam moving away from Jason even though she loved him and saw him predictably turning to Elizabeth. There was no sign from his cheering squad (Carly, Sonny, Spinelli, Diane) that Sam was his soulmate and they needed to be together. When they did finally reconcile, they were together for a day before he was listed as missing. Since this whole Sam and Drew story really started – I’ve seen Sam more of a partner to Drew and genuine equal love between the 2 characters. I don’t know if art is imitating life here, but their interaction and affection seems authentic and at this point they seem star-crossed with TPTB dictating a contrived triangle that will eventually split these 2 apart and put Sam back with Jason. You make that many cracks in a vase, it eventually doesn’t hold water – that’s the case with Sam and Jason. Their chemistry isn’t the same, but if they are the current Luke and Laura, TPTB need to recognize that nostalgia is not enough and after a while Luke just fit better with Tracy.

Nancy Lee Grahn’s Star-Studded ALS Fundraiser Reveals “I’ll Be There” Video Featuring Soap Opera Notables

Talk about your impressive line-up! It’s a soap fans dream and for a great cause. General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) is prepping her one-night only ALS fundraiser which will feature many of her friends and co-stars.

The benefit is set for May 4th in Glendale, California. Slated to participate are Genie Francis, Jane Elliot, Peter Bergman, Maurice Benard, Eileen Davidson, Thorsten Kaye, Michelle Stafford, Stephen Nichols, Rena Sofer, Jason Thompson, Kelly Monaco, Melissa Claire Egan, Maura West, Kristina Wagner, Gregory Harrison, Trevor St. John, Kate Mansi, Kirsten Storms, Cynthia Watros, and many others.

On Wednesday, Grahn took to her social media and released an “I’ll be there” video shout-out featuring, Monaco, Elliot, Bergman, Bernard, West, Harrison, St. John and more. In a touching and important moment in the new video, Michelle Strogny, who is battling ALS, is featured.

Previously, in speaking with Soap Opera Digest on the impetus of the event, Grahn recalled, “I was actually doing Zoom events during Covid and I met this woman that I just fell in love with, Michelle Strojny. At the time, Michelle had been living with ALS for four years. Now, it’s five years. She is a mom of a teenage son, she has the most wonderful husband, and she has been dealing with this [disease] for quite a while. And obviously, there isn’t a cure yet. It’s not survivable yet. But as she says, it’s not incurable. Nothing is; it’s underfunded. But anyway, I just really dug this woman. She is so grounded and filled with grace, and she spends all of her time working to raise money for the cause. We did a fundraiser for her last year and then I thought, ‘You know what? The soaps don’t ever get together to do something for charity.’ Collectively, we have this amazing community and we don’t collectively use it for a good cause, and I think it’s such an easy thing for us to do and we could potentially really make a difference.”

As GH viewers know, Gregory Harrison is playing the character of Gregory Chase, who is also battling ALS in a touching storyline that is currently playing out shedding a light on this disease.

‘General Hospital’ Writer Shannon Peace Let Go, and Shares on Sprina: “One of My Only Regrets is to Not Have the Opportunity to Develop That ‘Ship’ Further”

As General Hospital’s new head writing team of Elizabeth Korte and Patrick Mulcahy gets off the ground and running, there are still changes a foot on the writing team.

Now comes word via breakdown writer Shannon Peace that she is no longer on contract with the long-running ABC soap heading into its 61st season. Peace shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram, thanking the fans, and the show for the opportunity and the importance of diversity in the writers room.

Peace began, “After almost 3 years on staff and 106 episodes penned, I am no longer on contract with General Hospital. Writing for this country’s longest running television serial drama has been an education of epic proportions; I will forever be grateful that I earned my WGA card on a daytime fixture that holds memories for so many.” (Peace pictured below with GH EP Frank Valentini and script writer, Charlotte Gibson from about ten months ago).

Shannon added “Even more importantly, as the sole Black breakdown writer (and only POC in the writers room) during my tenure, I pushed for vital interactions and discussions that prioritized inclusion, visibility, and representation”

The writer pointed to the example of vital interaction when in story, “Stella and Portia’s frank July 2022 conversation about the role race played in Esme’s framing of Trina is just one example of the impact I’m gratified to have had.”

Acknowledging former GH co-head writers was also part of Peace’s farewell expressing, “Appreciation to my former bosses, Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor – not only taking a chance on me, but for valuing my opinion and championing my voice.”

Many GH fans know that Peace was key to the development of the love story between Trina Robinson and Spencer Cassadine as played by Tabyana Ali and Nicholas Chavez. Shannon gave a special shout-out to ‘Sprina’ fans, “I also want to thank fans who were supportive of my work, especially the recognition of my love for ‘Sprina’. One of my only regrets is not having to develop that ‘ship’ further.”

She concludes her statement with,”In the aftermath of a historic writer’s strike that shed new light on the troubling ways writers are regarded in daytime, my sincere hope is that General Hospital recommits to valuing staff writer efforts and input, with a more intentional focus on diverse viewpoints — and thrives for another 60 years.”

Accompanying her post, Shannon added, “Thank you all for the love and support these last few years. I hope GH fans get all they hope for and more!”

So, what do you think about GH not renewing Shannon’s contract? Will there be more continued changes afoot? What do you think is the future of ‘Sprina’ anyway at this point as viewers wait to see if Nicholas Chavez officially returns to the show?  Comment below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Learns Britt Died and Tells Anna He Has Been Working For Cates Since November 2021

On the Tuesday, March 26th of General Hospital, Anna (Finola Hughes) and the viewers learn about where Jason (Steve Burton) has been for over two and half years. However, Jason gets some news of his own.

Anna is visiting Jason at the PCPD interrogation room. She asks him if he shot Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), which he flatly denies. Anna believes him, but she tells Jason it doesn’t matter, because video footage shows him on the roof at the time of the shooting

When talk turns to Jason not willing to speak without his lawyer present, Anna can’t grasp why Jason would instead spend an hour alone talking with John Cates (Adam J. Harrington).

Photo: ABC

It is then that Anna brings up that John went by “Jagger” and that the two of them knew each other in high school. Jason doesn’t recall much of his time in high school following his brain injury, but then he gets furious realizing John knew about “Jason’s” past. That is when Jason slams the table and tells Anna, “I’ve been working for John Cates since November 2021.”

Next, Jason explains further that he has been working as an informant for the FBI. Anna wants to know how this came about and he tells her that after the tunnel collapsed, and he couldn’t make it to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud)… all of a sudden he sees Anna’s face drop.  Anna is the first person to tell him that Britt died and was murdered. She tells Jason the killer is in custody, but he continues to be shocked, overwhelmed with tears welling up in his eyes. Realizing he has to pivot to save his life, Jason continues telling Anna how he wound up working with John.

Jason explains that after the tunnel collapse in Greece, FBI agents grabbed him and placed him under arrest and took him to Quantico where he met John. At Quantico, John played a recording of RICO violations and offered Jason a deal if he agreed to be an informant against Pikeman, the illegal arms dealer.

Anna hears from Jason that he thinks Pikeman is selling illegal arms to anyone flagged by the NSA but has ties to the WSB which they needed a civilian to infiltrate their organization as a military soldier, a mercenary.

Jason tells Anna he was a part of the team brought into eliminate Sonny (Maurice Benard). Every time an attempt was made on Sonny’s life over the last two years, a different team was sent to do the job. Anna gets furious when she learns that John told Jason his job was to kill Sonny and she was with John at the warehouse that night. Jason ensured the sniper missed Sonny and left the rifle behind. However, they were supposed to meet an extraction team. Before he was shot, Dante saw it was Jason on the roof and when he turned around with his hands over his head, Dante was shot by the other guy. Jason says if Dante dies, he’ll be charged with capital murder and then will be useless to the FBI.

Photo: ABC

Meanwhile, John visits Bobbie’s and runs into Carly (Laura Wright). She learns Jason is in custody and is going to head to the PCPD. Before she does, Carly has some words with Cates when she learns not only does John have a vendetta against Sonny, but Jason too.  Carly tells John he should recuse himself from the case.

So, what did you think about the moment when Jason learned Britt died? What do you think of Jason’s return storyline thus far and what we learned about Jagger/Jason and more? Comment below. But first, check out a moment from today’s GH with Jason and Anna.
