GENERAL HOSPITAL: Will The Port Charles Earthquake Cause A Seismic Shift To The Couples On The Canvas?

Friday’s cliffhanger of General Hospital brought with it plenty of the shakes!

Just as people were positioned in proximity to one another who were arch enemies, or former lovebirds, the Port Charles earthquake began to play out putting lives on the line.

Let’s take a look at what we know thus far:  Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Oscar (Garren Stitt) are trapped in the ice freezer at the Floating Rib after stealing a moment alone in the middle of the “alternative dance” they were hosting when the quake erupts.  Inside the ‘Rib’, former flames Drew (Billy Miller) and Kim (Tamara Braun) end up together when he grabs her to save her from falling debris and the quake.  Bets are these two will certainly ‘bond’ over trying to rescue their son, Oscar, once they realize he is MIA.  Will Drew recover a missing memory of his that triggers some feelings for Kim?

Meanwhile, Sam (Kelly Monaco) who left Drew as a chaperone at the “alternative dance” heads to the Quatermaines to pick-up Danny, and who is there? Jason (Steve Burton)! As the quake begins, Jason grabs Sam to save her and to help her take cover.  This will leave these two alone, and perhaps trapped together.  Will this be the trigger to rekindle their romance, or will they both continue to fight their feelings?

Then there is Michael (Chad Duell), who before the quake told Jason that if anything was to happen to him or Nelle, he would want Jason to raise their unborn baby.  Why did Michael say that? Could we lose Michael?  And as fate would have it, Carly (Laura Wright) and Nelle (Chloe Lanier) are together duking it out in their verbal sparring when the earthquake begins.  Will Nelle go into premature labor? Will Carly help her? Will something else horrible go down?

Finally, we saw Franco (Roger Howarth) struggling with the horror that he may have pushed Drew down the stairs as a child confronting Jim Harvey (Greg Evigan) at his construction site. Franco missed his wedding to Liz (Rebecca Herbst) in the process.   And even though Jim says he can confirm that Franco threw Drew down the stairs since he was there, Franco believes there is more to the story and Jim is lying.  And BOOM! Earthquake! These two will be stuck together, most likely.  Will Franco finally uncover the long buried truth, or will Harvey perish with some secrets?  Many questions to be answered next week on GH!

So, what do you think will go down between the pairings on GH affected, and in peril, by the Port Charles earthquake? Comment below!

Would like to see some real Jasam feelings happen. And Drew to at least start remembering some of his past. And evil Nelle to come out on top and actually marry Michael. And Laura to return and be sent mysterious clues to end up finding both Lucky and Nicholas and bring them home.

LeRoy Davidson

Anything, just anything to get Genie Francis back where she belongs. Let’s right this horrible wrong once and for all!!

Paulette Brown

Yes, get Genie back on the show!!!! I’m very disappointed in GH for letting her go. I’m also upset over them writing Nathan out! What’s wrong with these writers?

nancy dillingham

Second the emotion! 🙂

Phyllis L Meekins

Yes!! But I Don’t Want Nellie To Marriage Michael. I would like to see Sabrina COME BACK!!! With Michael child.

Hasn’t Michael already suffered enough?????? He needs the return of Sabs like he needs a concussion…oh, wait a minute!!! Anyway, I like Nelle much better…the girl’s got some bite and fight to her, which comes in handy since Carly is always butting in where her son is concerned!

The earthquake will jar Drew’s memory, Phyllis…..could this be the reason for the quake?
A more significant question would be: was this a bonafide earthquake or did the Harvey-minions ‘stir’ the sleeping monster?……what caused the rumbling ‘neath the the surfacce—-is there a gold mine down there in which they blasted?
Or… it Helena?

The cause of the earthquake will most likely turn out to be Jim secretly “fracking” pocket of natural gas which are beneath the Charles Street area. This destructive & toxic process has been causing dozens of earthquakes in recent years, in states not previously known for earthquakes, as opposed to the West Coast of the US, or other nations around the Pacific Rim where quakes are common occurances, due to natural geological movments beneath the earth’s surface. (Or “ceiling rumblings”, as we call them down here in Hell.)

I was thinking the same thing you were about Harvey stirring something up Especially since after the incident at Chatlie’s pub

Donna McCusker

I believe there is oil under the property they are fighting over.

I believe the delicious delight Jim Harvey caused the quake and I just hope Amy is crushed by a steel beam!

Hey, Teri,
The Northeast has had a couple of earthquakes ….read Satan’s post…..he explained it well.

Thank you, my lady Fanny. I hope Harvey gets help for Franco….if he doesn’t? It would only mean one thing to me….he wants Franco to perish because he is remembering too much. I love Greg; I do not like Harvey…..very iffy.

LOL, T…..Amy and Jordan and Carly and Sonny ( I know that’ll never happen) …..I better stop before shoes go flying at me—–at one fell swoop, my Timmmy!

Hi, Margarita,
TPTB are making this so easy for us, Margarita, right? This guy appears out of nowhere …..he ‘attacked’ Charles Street with a vengeance, and a purpose–MONEY!!
He is a baddie.

Hey, CeeCee…I smelled this anti-fracking storyline a mile away and stated so in a previous post to you, which I guess you failed to receive, as it didn’t make it online….. As I previously mentioned, the gold you to whih you referred was actually “Black Gold, Texas Tea”….and the next thing you know, Old Jim’s a billionaire! Yep, that was the method to his madness all along. As for those who were skeptical regarding earthquakes in the East, I’m sure you are aware that they have happened in both recent and historically past years long before fracking ever took place….I recall hearing about epic ones in Boston in the 1700’s, NYC in the 1800’s, and numerous incidents in locales such as Canada, Pennsylvania, Michigan and even Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, hence they really are not that rare in the Northeastern quarter of the US. At any rate, I’m finding this entire storyline a real yawner, since it appears that it will have no real consequence as to culling the GH herd, which is what a good soapy natural disaster always should do!

Hi, again, Dhay,
Yes, earthquakes happening in the East may be rare, but they have happened, do happen and will happen again….learning more and more about the history ( geological, and otherwise) of our country, and the world, is a passion for me—my brain is like a sponge, LOL… I think you get it, as I know yours is, as well.
I have yet to figure out the reason for this….at first, I thought it would be to eliminate characters.
I will not check the mishap off, though….as mediocre and repetitious this disaster appears, I strongly feel that this ‘earthquake’ happened in order to catapult both Franco’s and Drew’s to regain their memories. Also, I think the bigger reveal will be ( as I have indicated ) that Franco DID NOT push Drew down those infamous stairs. Harvey did. He never tried to help Franco as he was trapped under that weightless piece of tin ( Ha!), nor did he come back with help. It seems that Franco’s mind is gaining lucidity …..he is remembering the sequence of events causing Drew’s fall.
Franco’s complete redemption is alive and kicking, Shay. HaHa!!
PLUS: I agree with those fans who think the reason for this sort of unnatural quake was to bring Drew and Kim together….likewise, Sam and Jason. If that is so, all I can say is GOOD!! I want to see how Jason and Sam interact….hopefully no thumb-twiddling from boredom while watching, as with Sam and Drew. Poor Billy—I have yet to come to grips with the change in him. I want my Billy back!!
By the same token, if Steve’s tenure is a short one, what happens to Sam when Jason leaves? Will he fake-die, again! LOL.

Oopsies…my deepest apologies for misspelling your name, Shay…’D’ is right next to ‘S’…..see that? LOL.
Another thing? This ‘incident’ proved what a good little actor Oscar is!! Big jump from just a few weeks ago….albeit, I was a bit disappointed with Joss’ rendition as the worried girlfriend.
Eden always gives it her all…..didn’t see it here. ‘Shellshocked’?

Pardon my French, but Harvey is a Mother Fracker!
The Bear would be so disappointed in him.

Oh yes, CeeCeeGirl, we do share a keen interest in history, and I have to say mine has been awakened now more than ever by those who seek to obliterate the past from our present with revisionism and the destruction of cultural/national symbols and landmarks….I believe all vestiges of what came before us need to be preserved for future generations….the good, the bad and the ugly, since as Santayana so presciently observed, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” As for this earthquake business, it really was quite lackluster in terms of both drama and spectacle, especially with no deaths in the offing….color me disappointed! I’d had such high hopes! In other words, GH let a good tragedy go to waste! I have to admit, I was gratified to hear Sam finally profess her love for Jason…if only Anna had been in Finn’s close proximity at the time, we could have had a similar outcome with them both blurting out the truth of their not-so-secret attraction and not a moment too soon! I must admit, I was more than a bit thrilled when Alexis walked in on Kim and Julian’s little moment…how I hope that they have a hot fling, since I am so not into Drew with her! I still would like to see him reunite with Liz, which looks doubtful given that Franco is still in her good graces…hey, it’s showertime! (I’m just thanking my lucky stars that it isn’t Alexis lathering up with someone in that locker room lovenest….Lol.)

Oh, Jesus, Mary and Joseph….Harrryyy????
I knew that was you in my inbox……can you see my ‘laughter-tears’ streaming down my cheeks? My husband thinks I’ve lost it….sitting in bed, belly-laughing…..A Mother Fracker??? I can’t….Now I have a tummy ache and a stitch in my side from laughing so hard!!!! Oh, my Gooood!!

leslie A Jones

Hell yes to all of the above

Teri Gossett

Exactly!!!!! Bc when does the North East have earthquakes ,

I believe…………SATAN!!!! is correct with HIS or HER Fracking theory.

Yes I would love for this too happen.

Linda Seligman

Would like to see Nicholas and Lucky to come back, Laura to have a great story, Spencer to come back, Nelle to get her punishment . I want Maxi to have a healthy baby. Jason and Sam to be together. Drew together with Kim

I would like to see Nellie exposed with what she is doing and Micheal done with her for good. As for Jason I would like to see him with Kim just to give Sam some of her own medicine back. What she did to Jason was horrible.

Teri Gossett

Nicholas is sadly on days of our lives ☹

Mz Mickey

I believe and want Jason and Sam together.

Thressa Mitchell

Yes, agree with all

OMG!! I hope that everyone is ok except Nell. I hope Drew remembers his love for the new Doc. I hope Jason and Sam get together.

Tamara B

Yes!! Jason & Sam belong together! I have NEVER liked Drew, ugh! He needs to move on with Dr. Kim & their son Oscar & just be a family!

Let’s hope Nelle is ok,Diva….she’s carrying an innocent babe.

L. Lawrence

Yes yes yes to all except Nelle marrying Michael.

I don’t want that to happen, either, L.Lawrence…..but, perhaps, for different reasons from yours, LOL.
See, Michael is a milksop…..mama’s boy; no matter how TPTB try to show his ‘manly’ independence. He completely gave in to Sonny and his mother for killing his father….no, Carly may not have pulled the trigger, nor did Michael, but completely disregarding this fact, makes both Carly and Michael unscrupulous low-lives. Plus, Michael is a Q, not a Corinthos….everytime he refers to Sonny as, “my Dad”, I cringe.
Michael should honor his real name by using it; considering he is ELQ. ….sort of hypocritical, I’d say!
I do think Nelle loves Michael, albeit she is soooo misguided…..too bad, he csn’t see it because of his mother’s influence. And, Michael is no saint.
As I said to Patrick, Nelle is a pearl….just needs to be cultured, HaHa!

What I think will be nice is it true starts to remember things and his feelings for Kim starts to surface. Jason and Sam reunite. Franco and Elizabeth get their happy ending and it turns out that Franco is not as bad as he thought he was. I haven’t hopes for Nelle Michael deserves better so I either hope that the earthquake makes her get out all her animosity so they could be together or she has the baby her story line ends Michael and Kiki or someone worthy of him praise the baby and he has someone who he can live happily ever after with. Enough disappointing relationships

* if Drew starts to remember things
* I had high hopes for Michael and Nelle

Brenda K Tucker

I am so with you. Drew and Kim. Jason and Sam. Michael and Kiki raising Michaels baby ( nelle dies). Ava and Griffin find happiness along with Liz and Franco.

Hi, Tephanie,
I have this feeling that Harvey pushed Drew….or grabbed Franco and as he swung around, Drew accidentally went flying down the stairs.
Young Bobby had the look of terror in his eyes as he saw Harvey’s BIG feet descending the stairs. His little face looked haunted to me…..he saw Harvey as the giant monster with two heads. I think Franco blocked the most significant part of what truly happened.
Just a thought.

I would love me more Jason! ❤️ Nelle is a horrible actress. I can do without her. Story line is awful. All the rest go for it!!!!!

@Celia…. Hi,Sweets…your thought makes more sense than the quake
hands down.

Well…it would been more exciting had they killed off half the cast…i would had tuned back fr that!!!!!!!….i heard Carly causes Nelle to miscarry…Micheal breaks off ties with his mom and becomes a cue.then asks Nelle to marry him-could just be a rumor that i started-lol

So what happend to the story where Laura, Lucy and i think Felicia were going into business together…would love to see Laura go into business together…maybe that Jim guy could become obsessed with Laura?-there is possible stories for her!!!!

Phyllis Sizemore

I like that idea of Jim obssessed with Laura

Laura is married to Doc isn’t she?

Laura and Lucy were supposed to open a Deception Spa back when RC was head writer. Supposedly budget cuts precluded creating new sets at that time, so it was forgotten and both Genie and Lynn (both recurring then) left for a while.

nancy dillingham

Sounds good! Greg Evigan could do a good job stalking Laura!

Grant Putnam

How come when there’s a character named Jim they stick him in a construction trailer….youtube Jimmy-Lee Holt c1983

Becomes a Q…also heard Nelle miscarries then kidnaps Maxi to take her baby and pass it off as Micheals

and is Jim really Franco’s dad?

Good one, Jimmy!!!! Leave it to Nelle to do something so despicable.

Hi, Jimmy,
I don’t know if you remember my saying that I had a hard time believing Scotty to be Franco’s father?….he was too evasive when Franco started asking him questions.
I do not mean I’m right, of course, but something does not jive…..especially if Heather is involved.
So, my friend….you do make a good point. Harvey may, very well, turn out to be Franco’s father. Would Harvey hurt him?

I hope the writers come up with a better story line in that. It’s always a predictable storyline since they use it so frequently. This time if she has a miscarriage I hope for once they’ll do it in more realistic way. Michael has been through enough and he doesn’t deserve any more disappointment. I wish he can meet someone will take his breath away and one who will feel the same way without any games. Personally is probably his best interest that she has a miscarriage or I complicated pregnancy where she’s no longer part of his life. I hate to wish death on anyone but her storyline is useless and I’m so disappointed that her character win that direction

Mary SF

I had enough of this Franco pushing Drew down the stairs story. It has been given more air time than it deserves — first off Franco should have trusted Elizabeth and just told her what he feared instead of assuming she would just walk out on him if she found out. His keeping it a secret just makes him look pathetic and insecure. But the real waste of time is we all know in the end the writers will make Franco innocent, so why did we have to watch months of angst to find out, it was big bad Harvey who pushed Drew down the stairs. At this point if Franco died in the quake, it would be us and the character out his misery

Angela S.

I agree. I don’t have DVR anymore. So I just leave the room when those pointless scenes start.

Absolutely, Mary, but that is but a pipe dream, and we both know it….along with any hopes that Ava, Julian, Alexis, Nina, Jordan, Aunt Stella, Peter or Nurse Amy will be going away any time soon! I suppose we should thank our lucky stars that Laura is safely stashed away in Paris with Spencer or the evil showrunners may have decided to make this beloved character the big casualty of this storyline! Given the current state of this soap, we must thank God for small favors….

Honestly, Mary! Who didn’t push their younger sibling down the stairs when they were three years old? Or lock them in a toy box? (shudder!). I mean, can they think of something more sinister with which to taunt Franco? Franco is New Coke Light, and maybe Kevin can teach him a thing or two about brilliant psychosis 101 with tales of his brother Ryan, Coke Original. And yes, I know, I know, Franco didn’t really do those normal things siblings do to each other, he was merely trying to protect Andrew from big, bad Harvey. And Shay, what a waste of an earth quake. Not one of the characters you mention above perished in the quake. It was so anti climatic it was enough to make me wish Sparkle Pony had come galloping back to life only to be squashed by a boulder before she could announce her resurrection.

Oh, my goodness, Mary…..I hadn’t even read this far before I wrote my comment, the other day.
I see that you had the same thought….you, also, think that Jim Harvey pushed Drew down the stairs….may have been accidentally, but he probably blamed it on Franco to his ‘mother’.
Bessie, or is it Betsy?, LOL, probably scolded and punished Franco and this is why he grew up thinking he pushed Drew. Obviously, he had blocked it out until traumatic, recent events.
I, also, think Betsy? sent Drew away to keep him safe from Franco….or, so she thought.
Regardless, Mary, I’m with you…..has gone on long enough….time for answers and to end this.

I must say… I was taken.. with the stairway scene between Franco and Drew. it was jarring

as Franco… AND /or Drew… “clung” to each other

with nary a word.. yet it was a timeless scene. ALAS already

4 things about the “earthquake”

1. Rebecca Herbst RUNG IT HOME. it was so romantic as she tells Kevin… she will stay @the church… because Franco will get their. ( I was in tears ) I LOVE MY LIZ. it was the one tender scene outside of the quake. perhaps that meant any thing ? she’s so beautiful.

2. another touching moment… dag! when did Oscar man up.. as he drew Josslyn in for a kiss in the freezer. did they do the same thing as did Maxie and Nathan… as Josslyn already shared.. she’s tired.. and did she nod off with her head on his shoulder…. HELP .

3. just props to Max Gail. sharing scenes with Sam and Jason. do we have to imagine.. what Mike would have been like with a clear present mindful being ? he just seems like he’d be the best dad…. a formidable reckon. just sharing laughing dancing being sexy. his smile is all we get right now.

4. OK .. not that I’ve seen too much “bonding” they should have played out a little bit longer… for the angst and fear to really set in… WITH Kim and Drew… over their son. I’ve fallen for Kim… so whomever TPTB. ugh , right ? writers block much ? Kim and Julian… Kim and Drew…. this is the gold

MOST embarrassing scene… for the love of God… Yeah, ALL principal players are alive and well… and it was all for naught. Michael Corinthos is not dead . Michael you are so uninteresting. hopefully you and Nelle hit the road. Just leave

just a lot of coulda woulda shoulda

Yes, Mary SF; agree. It’s obvious that Harvey was abusive…probably terrorized both boys and made some type of threat to Franco’s mother; send Drew away. As for Bobby/Franco? He subliminally knew he was close to his “brother” when they were little which is why he’s held on to the rabbit’s foot for all these years and why he painted the picture of the two of them…which is also why he probably thought he was a Quartermaine (thought he was Jason’s twin). And now…Betsy’s had to twist the tale again so that the truth about Harvey’s abuse doesn’t come out.

But…is the Faison/Drew story connected to the Harvey/Franco/Drew story? Here we have three men who have lost their memories in some shape or form:

Jason lost his Quartermaine memories in the car accident.

Drew’s memories were stolen from him

Franco has been lied to and emotionally manipulated and has blocked out trauma

Franco and Drew were close; either one was always targeted and the other was the protector or they both protected each other.

I differ than you in that I’m loving these stories; love Franco and really want him to marry Liz and reconcile with Drew. I think it’d be interesting to see how men who hated each other come to remember that they once were close and loved each other.

it’s very interesting… HOW Drew and Jason are so sure about ONE thing. and 1 thing only . ok that’s stretching but nonetheless…

when it comes to Franco….. they just “hate’ him.. and want to avenge the people he’s hurt , so much so, that Jason would have left Franco their stuck at the construction site, had it not been for Sam… saying it’s better if he’s alive and telling him that he should be reminded daily of all the atrocitites that he wrought.

even franco tried to explain again.. how he had this tumor and didn’t know what he was doing.

which could go a along way… in helping this story along.. and it’s just ( which is really sad ) if Drew memories come back to validate Franco. that it was abuse at the hand of both Betsy AND Jim.

makes me want to cry. these two young boys.. who were powerless… hence the “fighting” which was protecting each other.

LOVE your last para… which goes along with what I posted ^ above. HOW in the stairway… both Franco and Drew “clung” to each other… perhaps not fully understanding and didn’t vocalize what happened… but spoke volume.

OK i’m welling up

oh you’re a big ol’ softie, Patrick! xo 😉

Gotta say, I can’t bear to watch the show anymore. GH is so harsh and angry. The show really needs a softening. I’m a 35+ year watcher and I don’t keep it on. DOOL is the better show.

nancy dillingham

I don’t watch either–not since Genie’s last appearance–and I’ve watched since first episode of GH lo those many years ago! Can’t bear it without Genie.

An earthquake? Seriously? That is the only way they can bring Sam and Jason together? SMH!! I love watching Carly and Nelle fight it out. They have huge chemistry together. The show has had moments of late but they really need to build more stories. Right now, we have gimmicks and that can’t last forever. Kudos for a great episode on Friday.

Agreed, Mateo…Carly and Nelle can really put on ‘them’ gloves…enjoy every minute of their sparring, albeit, it is kind of disturbing how Carly digs into pregnant Nelle—-the baby does feel stress.
For someone who professes to love her own ( her unborn grandchild), Carly is, surely, not following her own credo.

It’s going to a ‘couples’ thing.. BORING!
I’d assume most all know what will happen before it happens.
GH, really needs to pick up its’ game..

Anyways.. I can always FF everything Robot Man Jason, so it’s doable..
Even when action is attempted by an earthquake the suspense, drama is still missing..
I would like to have moments of WOW!! HOLY CRAP!! WHOA!! NO WAY! WOW!!!

Jason and Sam are going to go back in time with memories.
Drew and Kim are going to go back in time with memories
Franco and Jim are going to go back in time
Scott will find Franco and Jim and secrets will come out
Maxie and Henrik are going to bond
Griff will rescue Ava
Finn with rescue Anna
Josh and Oliver will be seen as missing and searched for
Carly will need to tranquilized with Joss missing
Julian and Alexis will have their closeness time
and Lulu will be a pain in my azz trying to be a reporter
Jordon will rescue Curtis from a crashed jailcell
Curtis will be saving people.

too predictable bwahaaa!!

ya mean Joss and Oscar? 😉 (I was like…”who is Josh and Oliver?”)

Oiiver, as in Twist?
I love Joss and Oscar.
Lulu is an obnoxious twit who looks ridiculous no matter what she does. She even had me in hysterics when she tried to balance herself during the earth quake.

Harry!!! I read your Lulu Hoop comment and it was hilarious! I’m actually cracking up now; getting a visual as I type!

Oscar is a cutie! (Loved the original Oscar; he would definitely be my type…was my type..when I was that age. Oh, who am I kidding!!! He’s still my type! Just in a adult version!) Alak and alas he was called to other TV endeavors. But this Oscar is the essence of innocence. He’s a cutie. It’ll be interesting to see him grow up. Jocelyn? I like her but not too keen on her tude toward Julian! Liked it better when she aimed it at Sonny.

Rebecca, I agree with you again!!! I adore Oscar–he seems completely natural and in his element as the awkward, sweet teen. I also adore Joss.

You are right, Lulu is an insipid pain in the a$$-as a reporter (actually, in any way, shape, or form). The actress plays her terribly.

hi dmr..
Lulu is a housewife, she has no degrees in journalism, no resume as a journalist, Lulu is totally not qualified to be a journalist for a major magazine or paper..
Lulu is not even qualified to write recipe reviews lol

Journalist cary degrees some have 1, most have 2 or 3 ..

Grant Putnam

All of the above storylines have been moving at a snail’s pace since the two Jasons reveal. Not even an earthquake can shake things up in good ‘ol Port Chuck.

i agee

LOL agree

Well, I for one am glad this cliffhanger was predicated upon the wrath of Mother Nature rather than predicated upon a rain of bullets.
I actually did not see this coming so good on them.
And now for yet another hilarious, albeit unintentionally, hilarious moment–the sight of four foot Lulu in six inch heels wavering around as if she were doing the hula hoop. I replayed that moment about three more times and just when I was done with the hilarity ensuing, the previews come on and there she is again–Lulu, long hair flying in a swirl around her trying to refrain from toppling over in her six inch heels. Bah ha ha ha!
Why was that sight so side splittingly funny? I have no idea but I do have a new nickname for Lulu—Lulu Hoop.

Oh, my gosh….I can’t…Harry, cut it out !!

Ps…forgot to add: TOO FUNNY for words!! Lulu Hoop?!?!?!?!

Celia, am I the only one who thought the sight of Lulu doing the invisible Hula Hoop was hysterical?
Something must be wrong with me.

Harry, I did respond to Lulu Hoop….I fon’t see the post. I guess it was not up to par?

I see it, Celia. I was really afraid I was getting loopy. I know, I know–what do I mean getting?

Ditto for me, CeeCee! I nearly have more replies to Harry rejected than even those to you, and that is saying so much! I guess you both share a knack for bringing out the saucy and naughty in me….

Harry and Shay,
Before I fall asleep, which will be ‘kinda’ hard after the ‘Mother Fracker’-one-two-punch in my funny-bone…….I’d like to say: yes, Shay, many of my posts to Harry, and to you, don’t make it…..I need to tamp my cheekiness….
Anyway, I just finished watching today’s episode—-didn’tn I say that Harvey is afraid of what Franco might be remembering? So, what does he do? He is going around trying to not only discredit Franco, but also trying to turn Drew, and anyone who will lend him an ear, against him. He pushed Drew—
Voila’……so transparent. I must say that I have never been more ennui with this turn of events.
Now, we have Nina ( whom I love, tee-hee) wanting to get pregnant, post menopause—-didn’t we already go through this with Alexis? —Holy spaghetti and meatballs, Batman!!!!!! What is wrong with these writers?
Enceinte in her fifties?? There’s some French for you, Harry!
And, Shay? No need to worry about Alexis and Finn becoming an item……Julian saved Molly’s life, don’t you know!!!!!! ” So Happy Togetheeer”……you know the rest….with that hungry look, I thought Alexis was ready to pounce and devour—what a feast !!
And there it starts….back to where I started…..

Ps. Harry and Shay,
I forgot to give praise where it’s due….I may be bored here and there, but Max Gail deserves an award for demonstrating what acting is all about… natural….the fluidity of his movements; the dismayed look on his face, searching his confused mind for the next word, pulled me in……I am so taken by him, I can’t get enough. I appreciate him now, more than his role on BM, forty or so years ago.
I do hope he hangs around…..I’m in love!!

The ultimate…Jason with Sam and Drew with Kim. Memories restored. Nelle gets what she deserves, baby survives. Julian and Alexis reunited. Elizabeth fogives Franco. Carly escapes Nelle’s gaslighting attempts. Franco remembers…he ‘s not to blame. Curtis saves Charles street. Griffin and Ava in love. Nicholas returns!

That would be a perfect ending to all the turmoil!

Every time we hit a dull patch, something blows up, gets derailed, burns, quakes, etc. It wouldn’t be a respectable soap otherwise. The JaSam thing is way too obvious, even for their fans. But I’d like to see Drew and Oscar bond more, so what the heck. Shake, rattle, and roll.

Poor little Oscar….Soaphound, did you hear his pubescent voice break?–little squeak came out as he was pounding freezer door, screaming for help. Awwww….

I knew you’d catch that, Celia. How adorable is Oscar? I will say that a diehard romance with 15-year-olds makes me uncomfortable but who could resist puppy love? One more thing– Drew will be rescuing Carly’s daughter tomorrow and by next week, she’ll stab him in the back AGAIN by touting her JaSam obsession. Guaranteed!

So cute, right, Soaphound? Yes, they are too young….sadly, not these days…not fifteen years ago either. My first kiss was at sixteen….which made me an old maid, LOL……everyone my age was an expert at kissing and beyond.
I just hope TPTB keep things innocent between these two.

Haha…I heard Oscar’s squeak, too, Soaphound. Too cute. Wonder if HE noticed! Hope he wasn’t embarassed! But, we’re watching him grow up right before our eyes! Soon his voice will be booming!

Elva Aponte

Would like to see Michael once and for all getting rid of Nelle. Something to the effect there is no child. Nicholas return with Laura and Lucky. Jason and Sam together and Drew with Oscar’s mom.

An earthquake? In upstate New York?

Remember those geological maps that Curtis was looking at? Look up all the recent earthquakes happening in states where they were not previously common, and there’s one common denominator in those states – the toxic and destructive process of “fracking” natural gas.

In reality, this process has been banned in NY by the governor for exactly this reason, but Jim Harvey’s the type of sleazeball who would probably think he could get around the law and do it anyway.

WOW!! For once, Satan, TPTB are using true facts—I agree with everything you wrote….
As a resident of NY, I am very familiar with your summation.

Oh, just wait for the explanation, Jacob….I had it figured out before the whole lot shakin’ even started!

Sue M.

I don’t like Nell at all, she’s a Conniver, liar manipulator, takes everybody should feel sorry for her. Telling
her sob story to Monica, to gain sympathy and to make herself out to be an angel when she’s not. I don’t like her character, she’s such a liar she wouldn’t know the truth if it bit her. She deserves to be alone! Michael she is the Michael should open up his eyes she don’t deserve any Chances she blew that. You have to watch your back with her. Michael should just support the baby and forget about her. And I don’t like her I really don’t.

Sue M.

I did a voice text some words are not correct you could figure out what I’m trying to say.

Amy Shotts

Elizabeth and Jason should be together for Jake, rekindle their love.

Oh please. Elizabeth has changed her mind so many times and been with almost everyone in PC. She definitely does not need to go back with Jason. Let her stay with someone and be happy.

Sylvia Blais

I thought it was going to be Anna and Finn with the obvious attraction between these two but, now I’m getting into the openness Alexis and Finn have. They both hold their own with the quirks and antics. So much fun watching these brilliant actors like Lucille Ball and husband. Keep these two together, lets watch as they fall in love with each other. It’s over for Julian. Can’t forget he tried to kill her and drove her to the shell of the strong woman she is. She needs laughter.

THANK YOU, Sylvia!!!! I, like you, thought it was going to be (and it still might be), Anna and Finn. And I still like them together. But, I seriously like Alexis and Finn together, too. They have a great rapport and I’ve said the same as you…quirks…they’re both sarcastic, witty, clever…professional and neurotic! Who could ask for anything more! 😉 Seriously, I’m not sure I see them visually together like I see Anna/Finn…Alexis/Julian…Kim/Julian…but they are so fun to watch that I like em! (cute analogy: Lucille Ball and husband.)

Also like Anna with Andre. They had a great rapport from the start. I’m not a “shipper” (is that the expression?) so I don’t have a hard core preference…just liking a lot of the potential for several of these possible couples.

I whole heartedly agree… this is the first time.. I’ve seen any bantor between , for and with another person… that works. imagine that

Alexis and Finn. both of them are coming from a place that they can move on from .

hey, nice try with Anna… wasn’t meant to be…
hey, nice try with Julian… wasn’t meant to be…

Alexis and Finn are finding common ground… that hasn’t happened for either of them in so long. I welcome this

can we go – Julian and Kim
can we go – Anna and Andre ? wonder how long he’s back for… i’m so glad Andre is stepping up to the plate with Anna. so nice . course, Anna and Robert will be reuniting…

I said as much, as well, Sylvia. Love Alexis’ and Finn’s easy banter—not so much drama.

No way, no how, CeeCeeGirl! I’ve never observed what you term “easy banter” with those two as much as incessant chatter, mainly on the part of Alexis, per usual, since she has to talk everything to death! Now when Anna and Finn had their epic Christmas argument, that was banter! Besides, when emotions are so deeply felt, they often are difficult to express, even for the most articulate and poised of people…it’s the silent looks between Anna and Finn that speak volumes for me….and they are screaming out to each other!!! As for those pushing a pairing between Anna and Andre, I really cannot fathom such a notion….one hot dance routine does not a relationship make! That was simply a fluffy little filler moment of fun and nothing more….Anna and Finn for the win!

@Hi, Shaybelle,
LOL….great post!!!!… you are fantastique at proving your point, amica mia….but, I am very stubborn!!
Yes, Anna IS the lady, isn’t she? All prim and proper….exactly my point. Poor Finn should not be her puppy; and that’s what the situation appears to be forvme. Perhaps, I am wrong…
If this were going on a year or so ago, my judgment of Alexis would have been clouded; because when we are iffy about a character, everything he/ she does gives us indigestion, yes?
Since her break-up with Julian, I have changed my tune where Alexis is concerned. I do agree that she is very volatile—does not practice what dhe preaches….especially to her daughters.
However, it is a mother’s prerogative to ‘straighten’ out her children, especially because of her own mistakes; meaning: a mother, or anyone who cares, does not want to witness her own mistakes repeated in her children.
Anna has no personality, Shay…paired with Finn, we will have another Rafe and Hope; Sam and Drew.
Finn has a sort of a dead personality….for this reason I think Alexis can draw some spark from him….different strokes for different folks.
Believe me, I completely am on Anna’s team….but, I want her to have a MAN!!!! Not Finn, not Andre ( Lord help her…please, not Andre!!)….I was not enraptured by his hips and backside swaying to and fro so sensually ( ugh?!?!), albeit I truly appreciated his style and talent. He looks so stiff, so, it was a pleasant surprise.
I understand that you feel Alexis’ intractable reputation turns you off….same here. Her upbringing was not a safe haven, per se….made one mistake after another….Finn is no prize either, as far as I’m concerned. They will heal together.
Nonetheless, I will not dismiss a pairing between Anna and Finn, completely, as I would between
Rafe and Hope; nothing could make me cringe more thsn the latter.
This is all moot, my Shay—we are helpless to influence the writers….they are at the helm, and we at the mercy of their eccentricity… capricious as they are, this ship could change course, at their whim, at any time.
A piu’ tardi, cara….good to finally ‘chat’ with you.

Thank you, CeeCeeGirl! Although we are both quite passionate in our opposing positions on this particular subject, we still agree on many points….other than our vastly differing amounts of goodwill for Alexis, of course! The utter disdain train left the station for me a long, long time ago and knows no bounds for this exasperatingly obtuse character…it only gains more steam with each passing example of her poor life choices! And yes, the “intractable reputation” as you so superbly put it, plays a great part in my less than generous view of this emotional mess of a woman…hence whilst it’s indeed true that Finn certainly has his own troubled past, I feel like he would be capable of leaving his addictive behavior behind him with the proper mate…someone level-headed and sensible with genuine substance, like Anna, who I do admit has been far too dour in recent years. She seriously needs an epic romance to put a smile back on her eternally-ethereal visage!!! However, in the case of Alexis, she’ll never abandon her alleycat ways no matter which male scratches her perpetual itch…that’s just how she’s wired…like you said elsewhere, for her, casual sexual conduct is as natural as brushing her teeth!!! As such, I can think of a number of prospective Port Charles partners to warm her bed…Jim Harvey, Scotty, even Franco if (when?) Liz finally cuts him loose? Or, there’s always Andre…if anyone could use a good shrink in her life, it’s that neurotically-fueled floozy known as Alexis! Actually, any man save for Julian or Finn would work for me as her next erotic preoccupation……and probably her, as well!!!! To be continued….

why are we subjected to the continuous inaccurate blather about Alexis’s “itch?” She’s a woman. She had sex with the man she loved. Get over it!

Great ending! I was totally unprepared for that! Great classic GH “earthshattering” happening!

First; I think whatever Jim Harvey is working on below ground caused the quake.

Second: I think Jim Harvey was physically abusive to the boys (which I mentioned on another thread, as well) and in reality Franco was Drew’s protector ( and perhaps vice versa). Poor Franco; find out soon!

Third: Kim’s hiding a lot…not sure how/why but she has something to do or knows more than she’s saying about Drew’s history/background.

Fourth: Michael’s not going to perish. Morgan is “presumed” dead and Mike has alzheimers. No way are they going to add Michael to the mix…unless that’s the writers way of killing off Sonny and Carly; overwhelming, insurmountable grief! Hmmm…maybe Michael will fall into a sink hole and find Morgan alive and well and the TWO of them get pulled back up!

Is it me or has Oscar gotten taller in the last few weeks! He’s sprouting like a beanstalk! So cute the way he protected Joclyn…

Nell has to survive long enough to pay off that now-ruined dress!!!!

By the way…why wasn’t Robin at Liz’s wedding? Poor Liz; no Robin, no sister, no gram, no Laura (well, we know why Laura wasn’t there!)…the girl hasn’t got a friend left!!!! (Though I loved seeing Felix! We need him back!)

I doubt Harvey will perish; he’s central to a couple of stories now…

Poor Curtis; hopefully his strong-as-steel body can withstand the rubble his cell might bring down upon him…will Jordan get to him and the two get rained on together???

Anna, Finn, Andre, Julian…they’re off square dancing someplace and during the do-si-do and swinging their partner round and round…where they’ll stop know one will know…. Yee haw!

Great cliffhanger! Let the “fallout” begin!

between “Curtis” and “Michael” – I don’t know which of thee “principal” cast acted any more or less.

seeing as they are all still living…

Why Curtis seemed just fine… ready to look for Aunt Stella and TJ… then he’s hobbling in to GH carried by Jordan. which was laughable at best.. seeing as all the cast is just fine and dandy. and we had to see Curtis with bandaged leg

oy I was embarrassed for the actor.

Michael … GOD how he should die. as he come to with Sonny … wouldn’t leave his side. he forgot it was the month of March. he laid their perfectly dead. seeing as he’s so dense any way.. figure on Michael to be so insignificant enough to carry the featured artists . ho hum

no after shocks… no tsunami… one last big bump bang and bereft

what about Kim and Drew. i’m certain the writers are going to have to shelve , whatever Kim has been “hiding” . hopefully, it’s nothing more than she was asked to go to Port Charles.. to help monitor Drew ? I don’t know. I got the same feeling when Monica read Kim the riot act… when she first premiered… Monica had the audacity to point at Kim her ulterior motive.. to get at the Q MONEY.

Tamara Braun is her own show. two of the hottest men @PC. are in love with her. Julian and Drew. OK.. they should be by now. Kim has all the makings of being GH Leading Lady. I don’t know if the writers expected how quickly Kim as taken PC by storm… look at how fast and easy it is to forget Sam and Alexis.

there’s neither a here nor their… is there ? thank you @Frank.

as posted… I expect there’s more coulda woulda shoulda

LOL! Patrick…”he should die…” hahahaha…you’re bad! I don’t mind, Michael. He’s just been written so asexually it’s pathetic. He goes out with women but I don’t think we’ve ever even seen him “make out.” “At this point, I think it’d be awkward! He needs a sex life!!!!!!

Yes, I thought the same thing, too, when Curits hobbled along. Wouldn’t he have been protected in the jail cell. Aren’t those built with concrete or something. And, he’s built like steel so I would think he’d be able to “steel” himself against falling or twisting his leg. And how is it no one else at the police station was injured! Maybe they could do the Lulu/Curtis dance spliced together for a reel…Harry hilariously dubbed Lulu “lulu hoop” when he watched her flailing around during the “quake.’

Have you never seen Tamara Braun (Kim) before? It seems like she’s a new “crush” for you. Did you watch GH when she was Carly?

I don’t think Julian or Drew have fallen for her just yet. Drew is madly in love with Sam (unless that changes when he gets his memories back) and Julian, while interested and attracted to Kim, is still in love with Alexis.

I’m confused about Kim. It can’t be a coincidence that she wound up in the same town as Drew. She must have known about his kidnapping (either before or after) and his change-of-face…not sure if she was coerced or is on the dark side. UNLESS they change direction and just have her as a partner for Julian, there HAS to be more as to why she landed in Port Charles in the first place and what she’s hiding…

oops… I don’t mind Michael (no comma, which changes the meaning)

At this point and for as long as I have watching I have learned not to “2nd guess” the writers!!! So at this in time ANYTHING is possible!!!

India c

Don’t know about crazy nelle and Micheal I don’t want her to ruin. Micheal life and that will be what happen cause she is really unstable and I believe she actually kill her last boyfriend he need to get his baby and him and his family was her or him together and I mean both families and send Nell to get some help

I hope jasam get together I love them and I’m sick of dream. I also hope we get Julexis back together…. Drew can get with Kim and Julexis and jasam can be together

Earthquake, REALLLLLLLLY…..was that the best scenario imaginable!!!!
Sam & Danny will be perfectly fine…since their with Jason, hero / savior
extraordinaire. Drip/ drab boring Drew will keep Kim safe while they
search & find their son…Quick thinking on Oscar’s part pulling Joss to
safety underneath the desk. Nelle & Carly that should be a doozy….
This may be Franco’s last chance to get the truth out of Jim, he should
use his time wisely, instead of whining nonstop…it’s gotten old.
Characters who deserve a mention when we see them next are…
Mike who won’t understand what’s going on… Maxie who’s pregnant
and alone in her apartment….Curtis locked in a cell…. Plus all the
other kids…Earthquake week on GH is the best way to “CLEAN HOUSE”.

Donna McCusker

It’s not California can’t be earthquake. May be a treasure . Remember when Felecia came to town with Being a princess? They could start another Oak Island.

Oh, yes, it can definitely be an earthquake in NY, Donna….I know it does not sound feasible, but it is factual.
However, as I originally said….Methinks Harvey ‘awakened’ whatever was sleeping down there. I said a gold mine….someone else said oil—oil sounds better….this guy has monetary reasons for his big interest in Charles St…..he’s a mercenary!!

There was another earthquake in PC back in 1991. This was during Gloria Monty’s short second stint as EP. She hated some of the sets that were in use at the time (namely the Brownstone and Robert’s office) and used the quake to get rid of them.

A very pregnant Felicia was trapped on the Brownstone stairs when the shaking began.

PAT Wolford

What happened to comment made that Nelle could be ninas long lost child (daughter) her mother said died when she was in coma. Wasn’t that mentioned as a who is nell possibilitie now she’s a wicked person who is she related to still a mystery or did I miss a showo. Thought she was vengeful for short time because of kidney and carly? Thank you if you can answer.Faithful viewer for 35 years.

I think the idea to explore a possible grown child for Nina went away when they killed off Silas.

With Nathan gone and a recurring Valentin getting his hands dirty again, I wouldn’t be surprised if Stafford is out by year’s end

You may be right, Steve….I will, nonetheless, keep hoping….
I mean, look at Nina and Kiki. They should be mother and daughter…both tall, lanky and slim….not so Ava!!
Yeah, one could argue that Kiki ‘leans’ towards her father….but, she’s a girl with a female body….usually much like one’s mother….
I am stubborn, LOL.

Oh, Steve, how I hope you are correct on that account! It’s been too long in coming…..

Naaaaa…I don’t see Michelle Stafford out at all. She’s central to Valentin, she’s close to Maxi, to Charlotte; she runs Crimson. I like Nina!

Yeah, what happened, is right, PAT. I was hoping Kiki and Nelle would be twins.

it bothers me… that Frank , Shelley, Chris… are not taking the time… to feature, and, showcase, a mega watt talent… like… Michelle Stafford

all the spotlight… going to the menfolk… of “his” favor leaves little else.

Sonny / Jason / drew / Michael / Finn / Franco

I wish .. they WOULD flesh out Nina… give her a rebirth… I MISS her scenes with Charlotte. after she got married last new years eve… over a year now.

that was an opportune time to give us Michelle Stafford.

you’d almost think… w/ Frank Valentini agenda… he used the “less is more ”

???? because of our mindset … less is more… as he pushed his agenda and it ‘s become so few and far between… that he’s channeled his pets to the forefront.

course.. i’ll be told that’s how soaps work… those who have a contract and those who are hired and / or created in their interim.

crapshoot. if only we really had a voice

Yes, my friend….it bothers me, as well, more than I can say. It’s time Nina had her own story. ….showcase Michelle’s talent. She is one of the best on daytime and beyond, regardless of what is said about her. She can bring it, prove her mettle, given the proper and pertinent story.
It is hard, for some, to dismiss Nina’s past behavior—not so hard for myself—she slept for twenty years; was betrayed by her mother and husband; lost her baby in the most animalistic, unnatural and traumatic way possible… far as she knows, literally ripped from her body
When all these horrific and perilous happening are factored in, Nina has swum to the surface to make a new life for herself….
Delinquent Sonny, Amazon Carly, Monotone Sam, Re-born Jason etc. suck up most of the time on stage; while this gem of an actress kisses Peculiar Valentin’s ( love him, anyway, LOL) arse….ahem, feet.
Finding out that either Kiki or Nelle, or both ( as fraternal twins), is her child, would make such a compelling story….especially with Nelle, who truly needs guidance, right now. She can ameliorate her persona as much as any other character.
Why was everything Carly did forgiven? From what I have read, Carly slept with her stepfather?
I like Nelle, more than I do Kiki—Nelle needs so much ‘work’ done……a diamond in the rough, whose story needs to be told, as the abandoned girl looking for love anywhere and in any way she can get it ! She, finds Nina, her mother; at last! Yeah!!

PS, Patrick,
I think that in her ‘disordered’ brain, Nina, subconsciously, did to Ava what was done to her. Her actions were twofold: her baby ( or babies) was torn from her belly by her mother…… and, Ava stole her husband. This was Nina’s vindication.
What Nina did to Ava was an unimaginable and inhuman thing to do….but, in her twisted mind, it was an eye for an eye. Justice was done.

Honestly, CeeCee, I wouldn’t wish Nutty Nina as a mother on anyone, no matter how devious and downlow their behavior!…Port Charles is already chockful of lousy maternal figures….Carly, Alexis, Ava….why add another to the mix????

Linda Seligman

I want Lucky and Nicholas to come back. Laura to have a great storyline. Nell to be punished. Sam back with Jason and Drew with Kim. Sabrina comes back but as her twin

You had me until the last one, Linda!

Della-Marie Izzo

Yes to all of it.

10 characters are mentioned ^^^

Sam and Jason – @the Q Manse. bwah bwah bwah…. ver klempt

the goose has laid the golden egg. and it’s just Sam. can’t wait till Jason closes his eye

Drew and Kim : bond over their MIA son. : this is the gold. this is the TIME : TO MOVE ON. @GH @Frank and Shelley and Chris. MOVE THIS SHOW

move this show away from the dullard Corinthos’ . can you write that ?

one of the dullest times… because @GH has bottom dwelled enough. over Carly. NOW .. she’s hysterical… and it’s Nelle. just Nelle. all the while histrionics PLAY OUT. it’s the same effin two at the forefront. just Sonny and Carly

no matter how “big” this shakes to the core… it’s back to Sonny and Carly

THE BEST PART – Michael is DEAD. YES – please let it be. could this be the catalyst for MORE dare I say… better acting from his parents. BIGGER STAR PARTS

I want Michael dead. he’s so unimportant… his salary for intellect

let’s see Carly go catatonic… let’s see her lose every thing. let’s see Carly wretch

Franco – is he in that much pain… over his past ? does he want to bond… meld… gell.. with people that much? it’s surprising he has some connection with Liz and her boys. WHY DOES HE NEED affirmation that he’s not the bad guy… isn’t the tumor removal something . ? are we to truly expect these three brothers are going to group hug ? this makes no sense for Franco. Frank and Chris are going to continue to separate these brothers for no other reason … than it gives Roger Howarth something to do… real deep and viable… no? Franco insecurities over Liz is bad enough.

Drew , Kim , Oscar, Josslyn, Nelle , Carly, Franco, Michael, Sam, Jason

KEEP Drew, Kim, Oscar, and Josslyn

otherwise… I hope the rest are layed to rest for lackluster, dull, and just plain out stupid

I think Franco’s main concern is that he’s not dangerous by nature. He wants to make sure that he’d never hurt Liz’s boys like he’s been brainwashed to think he hurt Drew. He’s haunted by that possibility and that’s why he’s also afraid to tell/marry Liz. He’s afraid she’ll leave him for fear of her boys safety…and he’s afraid that he could. He needs peace of mind. Hope he FINALLY gets it. Although, and I LOVE Franco, not sure if he does find peace of mind what they’ll do with his character. He’ll need a new story/function once his demons are resolved…

UNLESS!!!! Liz leaves him and he freaks out.

Carly has become more and more hysterical over the years-boring and tiresome.

So right, dmr. I would also add “vertically challenged” to the list. Carly can’t even seem to stand up anymore without hanging on Jason to keep her upright.

LOL!!!! Soaphound; you’re on a roll!!! “Vertically challenged…” hahahhaha!!!

Not excited for this latest disaster. The kids in the bar are day players, and Joss and Oscar are not important to me. I’m so sick of this non triangle between Jason, Sam and Drew. Jason and Sam as a couple are like watching paint dry. Just leave her with Drew and let Jason move on. I only care what happens to Liz, Anna, and the Quartermaines during this story.

Last week was devoted to the teen scene and the dance. I’m in my late 30’s, I don’t care to see “Carrie” played out on General Hospital.

@dmr….Especially without an angelic teenaged William Katt-type in the mix! That whole dance scene was a total dud!!! So much build up for what seemed a complete non-event….kind of like this earthquake that didn’t even manage to pick off a few unnecessary characters in the bargain! I definitely feel cheated!

Shay, a total non-event, a total DUD! A lot of hype, much like their 14,000th episode. The earthquake would have been a great way to oust some of the recurring, unnecessary characters out of Port Charles (too many to name).

Tell me about it, dmr! I’m still trying to figure out the whole point of this event, other than to finally get Sam and Jason back together…I guess that alone was worth the price of admission, but I still think all the rest was just much ado about nothing and the waste of a perfectly yummy dress ala Joss!…It would have been a lot more exciting if there had been some dramatic exits for a number of characters who are just begging to be killed and put out of their misery!

Jason & Sam ( Steve & Kelly) should have the family they have wanted since 2005 through
2012. They should have love they bought vow to have when they were married and the family they wanted to have together. They have an amazing chemistry together. I think Alexis should go back to Jerome and remarried him . Sam should forgive her father and they should become a close net family better than the Quartemain repectful. Andrew find his place with Kim and his son let Jason adopt Emily as his own.

I agree, Rosa. I’m getting really annoyed at the attitude that Sam and Molly have toward Julian, especially since they both love Sonny and Molly has no problem with her criminal father, Rick, and all he’s done not only to others but also to Alexis. I guess Molly forgot that dear old dad slept with her sister (Sam) and betrayed Alexis WHILE she had lung cancer! And Kiki? What did Julian do to HER? He stayed by her side while Ava was in the hospital…

The “Jeromes” really need a bit of family unity…

But, no, Jason should NOT adopt Drew’s baby. She’s Drew’s and Sam’s.

No more musical parents. Jason needs to find someone else. Sam has made her decision. Michael needs to let Nelle go. She won’t have the baby. Morgan sighting will cause her to miscarry. Laura please find Lucky and Nick. There’s your storyline.

Sam Jason need to go back togather drew needs to remember Oscar mother,Micheal an Neil to pair Carly needs except neil

This earthquake feels like the writing equivalent of “look over there — what’s that?” in the hopes we’ll suddenly forget how boring the show is and that Genie Francis is gone.

The show is dreadfully boring.

Oh, my, Saints, dmr….the most idiotic words out of Sam’s mouth to Jason?…” ….that’s because I never panicked when I was with you….”. What was Jason like before he ‘died’ and disappeared?? Did he part the Red Sea, or something? Did he heal the sick, and raise the dead? I’d be terrified being married to him….my back and those of my kids’ would be a constant target. Where’s the safety being married to the mob?
All Sam or Jason had to do was grab one of those ‘tubes’ swaying about on the floor and have Jason grab the other end to pull her through….but, no, she had to touch his mighty, healing hand. C’mon!!
Soooo not realistic….nothing is…did you look at the ‘massive’ door on Drew?…. meanwhile he’s holding on to that cushiony piece of insulation for dear life….shouldn’t his arms and hands be limp?
The only true acting comes from Oscar….oh, and Mike/Max….he is phenomenal!!

Touche’, Alan!

teresa Torres

I like thing the way are now why change let sam with drew cause he is a save guy he won’t put his family in danger like jason does he doesn’t care about the safety of the his own son now there a little girl drew daughter think about so sam and drew are better the whole jason /sam story is old new don’t you thing. and be

Sue tomlin

Everything above but no Nelle

What difference does it make. All the soaps do anymore is reunite the same couples day after day. There is no longer and suspense or surprises on soaps. Now it’s like watching a rerun day after day so predicting what’s coming next is as predictable as the sun rising. Of course Sam will return to Jason and Franco will suddenly remember the most uninteresting storyline yet. Who cares what he did as a small boy. The boring storyline of the improvements being made will have an ending. Blah, blah, blah. Tunes in to see the rerun of past shows.

I would like to see Nell go down evil should not prevail. Get Jason another woman. Straighten out Alexis let the memory of Julian go. Bring Laura back and somehow let something happen where she can be the mayor. Please let the new guy who know Franco go down and out. Let them find out about Peter.

If the show were going to take that approach that evil should not prevail then Sonny and Carly would have to pay for their numerous crimes…

Hi, Judith,
Where there is good, there must be evil and vice versa. It would, otherwise, not be a soap, but a Utopian world.

AJ Beck

Of course GH will get Jason and Sam back together, they have to so they can continue telling the same boring stories they’ve been telling for years. I quit watching GH when Steve Burton return and I will never watch it again. Billy Miller was great as Jason but when the executive producer left Steve Burton claimed that he wanted to spend more time with his family so he left but then he immediately turned around and took a job on Y&R to follow her. Then when he left that show he decided he wanted to come back to GH and the producers accommodated him but instead of letting him be the new character and stretching his acting ability they have to go back to telling the same old boring Sonny / Carly Jason / Sam mob stories that they have done to death! Initially with Burton’s return GH ratings went up but now I’m watching as they slowly start sliding again the fans want something fresh and new they don’t want the same stories they’ve seen over and over and over again but like I said of course GH will get Jason and Sam get back together even though it’s not what the majority of the fans want because they’re afraid to try anything new.

Totally Agree. These forced pairings are so contrived. Why not play out organically what is already happening. Drew and Sam seem to be be genuinely in love – see where it goes. Let Jason reinvent himself (away from Carly and Sonny). Otherwise, reunited w/ Sam, it is back to rinse repeat. Keep Franco and Liz together. Put Kim w/ Julian.

Steve Burton , return premiere , September , 19, 2017.

gosh – so many points of view and / or interest.

1. I am so Happy for Genie Francis FANS who are sitting this show OUT. HEY
@NancyDillingham. this is for you !!!!

until Frank Valentini , Jean , Shelley, and Chris. MIND THE STORE. argh! it pains me that this show is Sonny and Carly. If they could act.. it’d be that much more ? they are both so emotionally unavailable. Carly is so loud she brings nothing to her character… she has no defining qualities as a woman. PLEASE some one any one.. what defines her ?

Sonny… a complete joke. he hides behind his henchman…. his “coffee” empire. his posturing his hands so near his neck.. like he’s clutching rosary beads.. he has no stature. his pomposity his wherewithal is our last laugh , NO? I cringe @the site of him. GH puts these two on the air.. like they are the end all be all. it has got to stop. AT THE MINIMUM . Frank and Shelley STOP THEIR LOVE MAKING SCENES. it’s throw up.

#1. GH – fired – Genie Francis
#2. TPTB stage a “big” extravaganza . QUAKE in your boots Dullard Corinthos
#3. Varni of ABC daytime … if GH could write a story for Laura.

#4. ALL the eggs in one basket.. all the hoopla .. all the bang for your buck…

IS GONE..Kaput …after 5 months… like the ABC promo…”hold on , he’s coming”

hold on, he’s coming for 3 LONG years. Steve Burton has done NOTHING

until Frank Valentini and Shelley and Chris. change their hiring practices and TAKE the focus OFF OF the dullard Corinthos’ . will they see any change ?

the behind the scenes mayhem… I HOPE SO.

THESE – numbers – do reflect ….

1. the Olympics
2. a school shooting

alas, will we all rebound

I want that GH FEELS the wrath… know what they are doing…

I beg to differ about the first one, Patrick…These past Winter Olympics totally tanked in the ratings, as in an historical low…they weren’t drawing people away from their lunchbreaks, let alone soap operas! I know this was the first time in my life I didn’t watch a single second of them because of the mix of highly obnoxious athletes and uncalled for politics. Oh, well….just another viewing institution to add to the must miss list along with most professional sports and Hollywood award shows, to name just a few. Seems GH is not the only one feeling “the wrath” these days……and deservedly so!

Hey, guys,
I watched neither THE OLYMPICS, nor THE OSCARS…the latter? Haven’t watched two years in a row…ce sont tres unilateral—pas divertissant, mon amies.
Same old, same old….to top it all off? Praising the half sister of a murderous dictator who only attended to prove a point with her serene, angelic face. What a tactic. No one with the sense God gave him/her fell for it….

@Shay – I meant to clarify

because of the school shooting… Pre-emption occurred middle of the week… and I even think part of the following Thursday.

I watched more Olympics than I thought. Mens Curling brought home GOLD.

Hi, Patrick,
Should read, mes amis…”……
I think you highlight a great point, my friend….perhaps, it may be to graphic and too cruel to introduce the reality of a school shooting to the soaps, but it could happen behind the scenes….without the rif-raf and the destruction.
More kids should be visible… would exemplify today’s world and its hardh reality, if done with sensitivity and honest truth.

@Patrick….Curling seemed to be the sleeper hit of these latest olympics…go figure! (And I don’t mean skating….normally, that event is a can’t miss for me, but I just cannnot seem to get into this current generation of ice stars…and that OTT commentary that been going on these past few years by Johnny and Tara makes me want to hurl…don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good snarking session as much as the next person, but not whilst someone is pouring out their heart and soul in a performance that has taken decades of preparation…it’s just out of place…better for a vlog or late night wrap-up spot. I prefer the views of the true legends like Boitano, Wylie, Kwan, et al….people who truly left their mark on the sport and continued to contribute to it years after winning their medals! As for the school shooting coverage, I never watch GH in real time, so as far as I knew, it was only pre-empted for the one day?

LOL, AJ Beck—- and here I thought I was getting a treat if Sam and Jason got together.
I was not watching GH at the time. I only know Sam with Drew, which not only put me to sleep, but also, created nightmares for me, at the same time.

@CeeCee….As I stated, I’ve never missed a Winter Olympics in my life, but before the most recent one even began, I knew that I wouldn’t be watching….it all started with Lindsay Vonn’s nasty comments….and only went “downhill” from there!!! Honestly, the point of this event is to have an international festival of athletics sans the politics, and I’ve never seen a more disgusting display of anything but…our elected leaders and their families were treated deplorably, even though they were only attending in the same fashion as those who came before them…it’s a tradition, no matter who or which party is in office! As for the Oscars and other award shows, the less said, the better….I never have more than the lowest of expectations for the behavior of those involved in them, and yet, they always manage to surpass even that in terms of the depths they will stoop…The only highlight of the evening which I later cared enough to view was Gary Oldman’s gracious acceptance speech for his stunning portrayal of the legendary Winston Churchill.

Yes i want Jasam back 100 its time Sam let go of thosefeelings she been hiding i want it to come out in a hot fiery passion. For them i love when jason picks up Sam

I agree with Phyllis, above, only I am not sure I want Nelle to marry Michael. I like the fight to try to get him and frustrating Carly at the same time. What a surprise this earthquake was!! I LOVED that the writers shockedus

Hi Rebecca! I admit that writer shocks are sometimes good. But aftershocks are often bad. My humor elsewhere (Harmon) might not have been appreciated, but I can tell you this with certainty: Jamesj75 has been known to play the role of Life of the Party! So please keep me on your invitation list!

Jamesj75!!!!! Alert!

The “Rebecca” you responded to (above) is not me! I have a “1” after my name. I’ve let you slide twice now…one for your Muhney and two for your Harmon. But cause I like ya…I’m giving you even MORE than three strikes! ahhahahaha

So; you’re still invited to the poetry slam!

oh…and I just noticed I have a lowercase r…the other has an uppercase!

Well, Rebecca 1–one of you is going to have to change their name to Becky.

Haha, Harry! I was here first! (I think!) And, (did you do this on purpose???) It’s rebecca with a lowercase “r”…let’s not confuse an already confusing sitch!

Will the “real” rebecca please stand up (ala To Tell The Truth) That would be I. with a “1”. Therefore the imposter should switch over to Becky. (although you have called me that so I’d wax nostalgic…)

Where is that imposter, anyway!!!??? Just kidding. Sorta. I am, kidding, Rebecca. But DO change your name. Just kidding. Again. Sorta… 😉

Hopefully Carly will help Nelle and just be quiet. Sam will find her way back to Drew her true love and Michael , well now that would be interesting if something happened to him. But he Quartermains, which Michael is would be devastated. Here’s also hoping Kim and Julian see their opportunity and take it. Please ice Jason a lgive Jason a life he is pathetic.

Jason has been pathetic for years as Sonny and Carly’s lapdog!

Sheila Horsley

I would like to see Sam,and Jason get together as husband and wife,To see the real Nicholas to come back.

Would love Sam and Jason back together. Nice for Drew to have old flame back. Don’t want Michael to go.

I like all the above. I definitely wanta see Nell, finally pay for all het wrong doings. Wanta see Michael finally happy w/someone good.

I’m more concerned about the sets, lol.

They better not permanently destroy the Floating Rib or Quartermaine den.

First they destroy Mac’s house with the Lisa Niles fire. Then he’s replaced at the PCPD, but have him buy the Rib, which dates back to its “Jake’s” days in the 90s. Of course the name is an homage to the fine dining restaurant of the 70s where Susan Moore was hostess. Maybe Frank and the writers wrongly feel that since Julian has a bar the Rib is unnecessary. Ugh!

The Q den appeared around 1990 as an alternative smaller set than the living room/foyer/stairs set. At one time, there was actually another sitting room through the doors under the stairs. In later years, when they didn’t want to spend the $ to assemble the larger foyer set, it was awkward when visitors would go back to the den and say “The housekeeper said to come back”.

Anyway, let’s hope they don’t destroy any of Monica’s house (because Alan gave it to her).

If they were writing this realistically at all, Julian’s bar would be damaged far worse than the Floating Rib. The quake would be caused by fracking in the Charles Street neighborhood, and the damage to the sewer pipes which preceded the quake was no doubt caused by the same thing. Earthquake damage is always worst the closer you are to the epicenter, and in this case Charlie’s pub is much closer than the Floating Rib, the Q mansion, Ava’s gallery or any other set which may or may not be seen as wrecked in the quake aftermath.

@Steve….Are you perhaps a set designer??? This isn’t the first time you have offered an expert’s keen eye with your loving detail of long past gone soap locales and structures….keep them coming!

Not a set designer, but if I get bored with the writing I have to concentrate on something, lol.

I also look at the sets to see if they’re architecturally possible. A few examples:
– Jason’s new apartment has windows on two sides and that opening in the back corner. Unless a spiral stairway is back there, it’s impossible for a room to be there without seeing it through one of the windows on the side

– How are there two elevators in the MetroCourt lobby, but only one in the restaurant?

– Why would Elizabeth buy a house with such a small kitchen? And where is her (or anyone else’s) dining room set?

– It’s long been acknowledged that the hospital has 10 floors. The grand staircase on the nurse’s station set would lead to nowhere or a limited access roof when used for floor 10.

– Nobody has a storm/screen door in an upstate New York town?

– Wyndemere is on Spoon Island. How do people show up unexpectedly at Valentin’s door? Similarly, Monica must have the worst security to have people show up at her door unannounced.

Ok, I’ve held in some of those long enough 🙂

Excellent observations, Steve!!! I guess your “hobby” is the equivalent of my sizing up the wardobes, make-up applications and plastic surgery/botox top-ups of the GH cast…not being able to discuss those here anymore is a real killer, especially some days more than others and for certain characters! But I do hear you on those architectural inconsistencies, as well! There was a time when Windemere was actually treated as the fortress on a remote island that it was purported to be…now people show up there in a split second and apparently without the benefit of a boatride! And security is not at all what it used to be at either the Quartermaines or Chez Corinthos….plus the absence of Alice at the former to guard the front door to “Monica’s house” and announce the Q guests is something to which I still cannot become accustomed…I do wish someone would mention that much-missed woman and find another quirky housemaid if Bergen Williams can no longer fulfill her “Dominator” duties…Then again, given that Olivia is doing all the “dominating” there these days, you’d think she would have something to say about n-action Alice, since she already fired “Cook2!” Lastly, I long ago came to the conclusion that that stairway on the 10th floor of GH only leads to two places…heaven or purgatory…..the latter being the hope where AJ is concerned!

Add Lila’s Rose garden to what is missing. And find some budget or use ABC’s Disney locations for the other adventure sets like Felicia, Frisco, Anna, Robert, etc. sometimes frequented. Then there’s
Wyndemere Castle on Spoon Isand…Beyond tired. I don’t think anythings been done since the Spencer birthday fire.

Also agree with Shay…find a new “Alice.” Some people in mansions, like Monica, shouldn’t be answering their own doors. I always think this when I see Victoria answering her door on Y&R. As for the kitchen…I’d like to see a way Olivia and a cook could find a to respect and work together. Because for Olivia cooking is like breathing.

hi rose! I really liked your posts on the RS thread and completely agree with you! You Go girl!!

Val Bailey

I’m with Diva and Lawerance on their comments. Yes to that!

Beverly Dalton

What I want to happen is Sam realized what she has with Drew and to once and for all getting over Jason. He deserves all the love she can give him and her whole heart, not just half of it

mona nava

I want for the earthquake to open up the secret world that was built and supplied with food that Nicolas fell into coming back to Port Charles and Morgan fell into during the car explosion. Their bodies werent found because they were in that secret underground chamber.

Good one, mona….I like it ! How did they survive, though. Maybe it’s an underground shelter?….with foodstuff and such?

I do not want mchael to get with that twit Nell, I can’t stand her, I want Sam and the real Jason to get back together,

Brenda Walters

Ive been watching general hospital for years and I would like to see Morgan come back and be with Kiki and Drew and kim get together so Jason and Sam together and I think Maxi should have twins and she can be with Peter and just get rid of Faison altogether and Claudette can come back and get even with Nina and get rid of Nelle she causing too much trouble with Carly can get back with Jax and Sonny can leave the show and Ava can have her daughter Avery back cuz, she suffered enough what she went through and she can be with Griffin

Denise bienvenue

Anything can happen on a soap dramiatic license and all. Heck people come back from the dead. But this makes for a good storyline’ Ijust wish Nathan could have stayed on.

What a pretty name, you have, Denise…tres joli!
That’s what I say….anything and everything is possible on soaps.

I would love to see Franco and Elizabeth get married. Nelle gets what she deserves. Drew and Sam together . Carly finally figures out that it’s Nelle that’s making all the phone calls. Julian ends up with Kim

That sounds wonderful Anita.

I’d also like for Drew to get his memory back Franco to figure out what really happened Jim Harvey going to jail And yes please let’s bring Laura back

I read several of your comments. This earthquake caught me totally off guard. Didn’t know that was coming.
For me personally I’m so sick of Sam that I no longer care who she ends up with. She has become a real snooze-fest for me. Nicolas won’t be back. He’s on DOOL now. I love Spencer & would love to see him return. I miss Jeanie Francis. I hope Elizabeth & Franco get their happy back. I despise Nelle and I hope she miscarries. I’m totally bored with Drew so whatever happens to him happens. Don’t care.

It is time for Michael to get married, I hope to Kill. The new Allan and Monica Quartermains. Drew, Kim pair up and Arora Media has conflict with ELQ. Jason and Sam pair up and opens an agency, bringing in Curtis. Elizabeth and Franco gets married and Elizabeth has her fourth child, a girl. They all move out of Port Charles. Opening up the door for New Head Lines, for others. General hospital is tooo crowded.

Kiki and Michael

Lulu hoop funny how about surfing lulu she looked ridiculous when the quake started why not just fall down like everyone else just being extra as usual on her part lol.that part needs to be a blooper reel

This actress just needs to go. I thought the same thing! Annoying, insipid, Lulu!

peggy white

We all know Nelle is going to steal Maxies baby. That’s a given. So sick of that story line. That just shows the writers don’t know what they are doing. Can’t think beyond past shows, let’s redo them forever. If that’s what happens I’m probably done. I love gh but come on, stop making it predictable, and stop using the same old stupid storyline. We want you around forever. But please stop repeating old stories that’s so used up it’s disgusting.

Don Lobban

The complete storyline with Jason, Sam, Liz and Drew had been screwed up for very long time . As a matter of fact, I barely watch GH, not to mention Alexis and Julian storyline, which is just as pathefic, I guest the writers Iike boring and pathetic stories . Once GH was the leading day time show to watch. Now who care!

If Ron c was still writting he would have had those predictable bullets , thank God he’s not cool can have him I ahave been afan for over 35 years and when RC was writer was the only time I tuned out, Chris van etten is doing great, there is real dialogue, the show centers around the hospital and old a ND new characters are used perfectly, GH is GH again.

GH: Will Drew Discover His True Past?

Then, though Carly (Laura Wright) did not intentionally push Nelle (Chloe Lanier) down the stairs, Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) convinces her that her best chance at freedom is to enter a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.  As a result, Carly expects to be sent to a mental institution rather than prison, but what will happen? GH’s Laura Wright and Wes Ramsey Talk Their Love Connection & The Demands Of Daytime

After presenting for the first time together, at the 45th Annual Daytime Emmys since they’ve been a couple, Laura Wright (Carly) and Wes Ramsey (Peter aka Henrik) of General Hospital have certainly been in the throes of a romantic, fun, and cherished relationship. The two former stars of Guiding Light reconnected last year at Emmy time. Now, sharing their over one year anniversary, Michael Fairman TV caught up with Laura and Wes to get some insight into what makes their relationship work amidst the hustle and bustle, and pace of both being on a network television daytime drama series, and with the pressures of Hollywood where often relationships between two actors seem to start hot and heavy but then fizzle out.

If you caught this week’s GH, you witnessed that the town of Port Charles has found out that Peter is the notorious Cesar Faison’s son, and the ramifications that will be felt for weeks and months and potentially years to come. Meanwhile, Carly is in all sorts of trouble, thanks to naughty Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Nelle is making Carly look awfully unstable and what happens next could change Carly’s life forever.

So, what do these two lovebirds have to say about their relationship and their passion for working on the soaps? Check out what they had to share below.

Wes, you had met Laura originally years ago on Guiding Light.

Wes: Yes, 15 years ago in New York.

And what did you think of her then?

Wes: Well, I was smitten, but I had to keep it to myself.

You had to keep it under wraps, huh?

Wes: Yep!

Laura: I was married then.

Wes: She was pregnant with her second child.

Laura: And he’s a good Kentucky boy.

Wes: Uh-huh! But we would run lines in the green room and I would try very hard to make sure she didn’t catch me staring at her… too often. But we laughed, and had great conversation.

Laura: I would always say, “Wes, will you run lines with me?,” because I would want to run my lines.

Wes: We never had story together, but she always knew I was game to hang out with her for a moment.

It’s good when you’re in a relationship with someone and you can laugh with them. You seem to be able to do that a lot!

Laura: Oh, gosh. I think that’s all we do.

Wes: Yes, yes, yes, yes…

Laura: Like, we belly laugh. It gets to the point where people would think we were ridiculous. We’ll say things and just think it’s the funniest thing ever and people would be like, “You guys have a problem …” and we’re like, “Yeah.” (Laughs)

Laura, and then he comes back into your life years later…

Wes: That’s right, it was Emmy weekend 2017.

Laura: I totally was not expecting it at all. Even when I gave him my number I walked away going “huh…”

You mean you thought he wouldn’t call?

Laura: No, I didn’t feel that… because he hit on me hard. He’ll tell you that.

Wes: I still am hitting on her.

Laura: I remember I walked away quick after he got my number. I was like, “Oh, my God … I gotta go.”

Wes: There was an assertiveness on my part that was for sure 15 years in the making. I did not expect to run into her. I also did not expect for her to tell me that she was recently single. In that split second, it was one of those, “stop the presses!” moments. Like, you need to give me your number, I’m taking you to dinner.

Laura: I go, “Oh, be quiet! Are you like, 32, because I can’t do that.” (Laughs)

Wes: And I said, “Far from it.”

Laura: He’s like, “I’m getting ready to be 40.” And I’m like, “I can do that!”

Then, on top of all of this, Wes, you land a primo role on General Hospital. That of Henrik aka Peter, Cesar Faison’s son.

Wes: Yes, a dream come true.

Laura: I’m going to jump in and say it’s a role that he worked all on his own for. He had to screen test against 8 plus guys, 3 different auditions, 2 different days.

Wes: That’s true.

Laura: I can’t say strong enough that the best actor got the role. Meaning, Wesley is so talented and has the ability to give this character the depth, and emotion, and layers that it needs to tell the story that needs to be told. I just think he’s incredible.

So, did you know from the get-go who you were going to be playing?

Wes: I did not.

Laura: I did! (Laughs)

Wes: I’m thrilled that the writers have been giving me such incredible material to dive into.   Each month that goes by, it becomes more and more complex, and more and more layered and intense. I love the depth… I love the conflicts… I love the humanity… I love the desperation… I love the psychology behind it. It’s a very interesting story and a great journey to tell.

Laura: I was getting ready to say, where you mentally have to go to be the son of Faison and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)! To blend that together is amazing. It’s incredible to watch.

You used to run lines together on Guiding Light. Do you run lines together now on GH? It’s like a full circle moment.

Laura: We do, and we carpool.

Wes: Something we were trying to manifest together. We thought it would be a lot of fun to work together one day.

Laura: The last week we worked, we didn’t. He worked all afternoon. I worked all morning. I was like, “Are they doing this on purpose?” I was so mad! I was like, “Why are you in the afternoon everyday?” (Laughs)

Wes: She lost her chauffeur. (Laughs)

Laura: I did! He always drives us to work. I also love when we both have afternoon calls, because we love having mornings together. So, I didn’t get my morning, nor did I have my chauffeur!

So, two actors can have a good relationship? You see so many Hollywood relationships with actors and they go bust. But that’s not always the case …

Wes: Oh, my God, yes.

Laura: I’m going to say this; I think I can see it being more difficult for daytime

actors, because the work we do is so intense. I know the weeks he’s getting ready to go into, and I’m getting ready to go into. Where we go emotionally and psychologically to tell these stories, on the level that we tell them, as quick as we tell them, you kind of have to become really in a headspace. The fact that we can …

Wes: … the long hours …

Laura: Yes, and exhaustion! You really have to go, “Wow! It’s not about me right now. It’s about us individually as actors.” Thank God, we know the workload. I know what he’s getting ready to go through.

Wes: I have always had so much respect for Laura’s work. On Guiding Light, I’ve always been in awe of what she’s capable of doing. So, the level of respect is obviously there. But also, the understanding whatever it is that you need from a personal assistant in one moment… or a life partner in another moment … or a best friend in moment … or whatever it is in order to get through the day-to-day and the week-to-week, so we can do what we love to do. We know we’re very lucky to have the opportunity to do what we love.

Laura was such a great co-host on my Soap Nation Live! Daytime Emmy Nomination Specials, in particular when she talks about acting. It’s so rewarding to hear the other actors who are guests on the show listening to what Laura has to say about her craft and respecting the hell out of her.

Wes: Without a doubt. You can’t watch her work and not be in awe. It speaks for itself.

Laura: I just love the journey of going to the places that we go; to bleed for it.

Wes: Leave it all out on the floor.

Laura: I know that process. So, when I see another actor that’s bleeding, I just bow to them, because I know what it takes to go there. I know the work that Wesley does. When I see that he’s spent at the end of the day, I’m like, “Babe, I so get it.” So, I can see where it could be really difficult for people that haven’t been there, because it’s a lot of work and you’re spent. It’s hard! For us, that works.

What do you think of Laura and Wes’ love connection? What do you think of the latest developments for GH’s Carly and Henrik? Comment below.

GH Nurses’ Ball 2018 Conclusion: Anna Learns Henrik Is Her Son, Maxie Has Her Son, Ava Wows, Mike & Sonny Duet!

In the most moving and exciting episode of this 2018 GH Nurses’ Ball, all roads lead to the truth about Henrik and how he is really living his life as none other than Peter August (Wes Ramsey).  First, Robert (Tristan Rogers) who has punched out by Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) on stage drags him outside of the ballroom for his part in the cover[up.  Robert is worried about Anna’s (Finola Hughes) safety. Nina (Michelle Stafford) confronts her husband about how long he’s known who Henrik is.  She later figures out why he has been trying to whisk her and Charlotte out of the country.

Onstage Mike (Max Gail) takes a mic, and makes a moment of saying he has Alzheimer’s and then launches into the song he remembers,“The Summer Wind.” As he sings, he imagines being accompanied by a big band as he proceeds to deliver a showstopper.  Suddenly, in reality, Mike is lost and disoriented … scared he stares around at the audience.  Sonny (Maurice Benard) gets up to the stage to help his dad by cluing him into the lyrics.  Sonny sings with Mike and gets him through the song.  They receive a standing ovation.

Ava (Maura West) who is preparing to perform her number comes across a moment between Kiki (Hayley Erin) and Griffin (Matt Cohen) backstage where they are in a hug.  Little does Ms. Jerome know that Griffin was consoling Kiki after her lewd run-in with Dr. Bensch (James DePaiva).   Then it is Maura West, who truly brings down the house for this year’s ball with her Ava’s rendition of “You Don’t Own Me.”  That tune was certainly a nod to all those that Ava feels have wronged her.  Yup! Sonny, Griffin and Kiki we think are some on her list!   Dressed in a white pant suit and accompanied by a bevy of male dancers, West knocked the interpretation of the song out of the park, to make it work for her character and the Nurses’ Ball.

Elsewhere, Maxie (Kristen Storms) has gone into labor, and Peter is right there safely delivering her baby boy. Maxie is taken by paramedics to the hospital, while Peter calls Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) at Maxie’s urging to let him know what happened.  Spinelli has just found out, through Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) that Peter is Henrick!

Anna is walking into a trap on the pier as she waits for Henrick. When he appears, he has no idea that Anna is his mother, and thinks it’s all been a set-up.  He points a gun to eliminate her once and for all, but Anna says she has something to tell him.

The Nurses’ Ball concludes with a touching finale of “Champion” featuring: Epiphany (Sonya Eddy), Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel), Bobbie (Jackie Zeman), Amy (Risa Dorken) and the other nurses.

So, what did you think of the final episode of the GH Nurses’ Ball 2018?  What did you think of the musical performances? Do you think Maxie’s baby will be OK? Will Anna be able to tell Henrik that she is his mom? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
