Days Of Our Lives
Jordi Vilasuso Makes His DAYS Debut! What Were Your First Impressions Of Dario?
Southern California and the Pacific Ocean are the backdrops which bring on to Days of our Lives both Marie Wilson as Summer. and Jordi Vilasuso as Dario Hernandez.
In the case of the latter, on Friday’s episode of the NBC daytime drama it is Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) storyline that acts as the centerpiece for bringing Dario back on the canvas, and in the form of daytime favorite, Jordi Vilasuso.
While Brady is obsessing over the woman he keeps dreaming about, and how it is tied to Daniel and his new heart, he walks in to a beachfront bar chatting it up with a bartender about this mystery woman, Summer. The bartender says he hasn’t seen her, but maybe the main bartender has … enter Dario! Brady is stunned and asks Dario, “What in the hell are you doing here?” Dario explains that working at Titan Argentina and the corporate world wasn’t a good fit for him, and neither was living in Salem. Brady even questions Dario if his siblings, Rafe (Galen Gering) and Gabi (Camila Banus) even knows where he is at? Next, Brady asks if Dario knows this mystery woman, Summer.
It turns out, Dario does know her, and he says she’ll be walking through the door of the bar at any minute. Dario asks if this is a new romance, but Brady informs Dario he has his gal, Theresa (Jen Lilley) and their son, Tate back in Salem. Dario warns Brady that Summer can be unpredictable and has spent some time in a psychiatric ward. If he sees her, Brady’s asks Dario to give Summer a message that he’s looking for her. Later, Brady returns to the beach and finally lays eyes on his mystery woman as she starts to walk fully clothed into the ocean … in what looks to be an apparent suicide somehow involved with Summer?
What were your first impressions of Jordi Vilasuso’s Dario Hernandez? How do you think he will be involved in this storyline? Will Dario end up running into Nicole (Arianne Zucker), who is also now in Los Angeles searching for Brady? How will this all tie together? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

Steve Kent Reportedly OUT as Sony Pictures Television VP in Charge of DAYS and Y&R
On Friday, reports surfaced that Steve Kent, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming at Sony Pictures Television, is no longer with the company and overseeing the Sony soap operas, Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless.
According to Soap Opera Digest, a set side source reported that Kent’s last day was last Friday, April 12th, which was one day after what would have been his final appearance in his Sony VP role at the Days of our Lives 15,000th episode on set celebration.
During that ceremony, Kent gave a brief speech giving kudos to DAYS for its incredible milestone. Days is a co-production of Sony Pictures Television and Corday Productions, while Y&R is produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company in association with Sony Pictures Television.
Kent started his soap opera career as a producer for CBS’ defunct Capitol and then as the supervising producer of NBC’s Santa Barbara from1984 to 1993.
At Sony, before his role overseeing the soaps, Kent was Senior Executive Vice President of International Productions for Sony Pictures Television International department.
If reports are true, the question becomes who has taken over his position, and would oversee DAYS and Y&R from the Sony side? Share your thoughts on this developing story via the comment section below.

Y&R’s Hayley Erin Previews Her Role in Horror-Thriller ‘New Life’
Good looking but anyone who mentions Melanie I have zero interest in.
Plus with the news of higley more Hernandez spells disaster as she has a tendency to cut our beloved characters for her new pets.
I am not amused. If she cuts Steve yet again, I will never watch Days again. Cancellation would be in order!
I personally had to quit the program for the years of over propping Daniel.
Sexy… He and Nicole are a must.
So his donated organs causes hallucinations. Not a scintilla of medical evidence to support this wrong headed storyline. I fear there are two elephants and only one has diamonds. Oh boy. Yeah.
Lol Caroline and her stuttering panicked visions are more than enough. .you’re right. .it was a heart transplant how on earth are you dreaming of some wacko and I wish they would stop firing people and then rehiring them as someone new. .bone heads
Sean!! Sean!! Why are you in the mirror!!
CeeCee I’d never look in another MIRROR again talk about caustic intrepidation. .what was in that drug. .why am I saying I see dead people. .why am I suddenly seeing full on real scenes happening right at this moment. .why do I suddenly feel the need to run into the ocean after some random woman who will come between me and Theresa though viewers will say put him with Theresa. .because the writers say I might be dumb but in not stupid..talkin..lol
I will wait a little longer and see how this plays out…first Caroline sees images…Brady sees a mysterious woman in his dreams…next ex-priest turned alcoholic drunk driver Eric will see The Virgin Mary in Salem’s fake Brady Bunch-styled park and she will warn that all that gloom in doom in Salem will cause Days to stay in fourth place unless a Guiding Light lifts up the Dark Shadows over Salem faster than As The World Turns perhaps us Young(well, not me…lol) & Restless soap fans might finally get The Brighter Day(s) we (Ryan’s) Hope for…lol
Lmao
Take a bow,Jimh
I like Jordi from his All My Children days. I hope his coming to Days will finally give Rafe a story.
Nicole needs to get laid so bad. And drink a margarita.
Oh, my gosh, DYLAN!!!!…..you naughty boy, you!! How can you tell? Lol.
Great looks and great acting chops as seen on AMC in its final year.
…not into swarthy types, myself. I do not find him sexy…hey, to each his/her own. Rafe, yes, albeit I want to smack him to Hades and back, right now. Lol.
WOW!!!! What a ‘coinquidink’, eh? Of all places, Brady finds Dario here? Golly Gee, the suspense is killing me. This is going to be another ‘chase the wind’ storyline. The Daniel/mystery woman link is stupid to me, regardless of its purpose.
I do not know….has it been proven that people who receive transplants pick up signals from their new heart? Or, as usual, some patient had a thought; put it out there, and it became fact? Bah….all sensationalism. I would not be so skeptical if Brady had received Daniel’s brain. If one wants to go along with that theory, ok…it would be much more logical and scientifically, perhaps, hold some truth…..I don’t care how many quacks out there say it is possible. Only through Devine providence would that happen…A miracle!!!! Just my opinion.
I don’t find him sexy either and never have.
The whole story is ridick.
Tell me about it, Mo.
Brady with Danial’s brain…wouldn’t make much difference…lol
HaHaHa, Jimmy. Too funny, but right on the mark. They both have air floating through their brain…no disrespect to the dead. Lol.
I thought Dario was supposed to be younger than Gabi? Even though Jordi is in his 30s, he look closer to Galen’s age. I’ll hold off judging Dario until we see where his story heads but this show is an absolute train wreck.
Rafe
Arianna
Dario
Gabi
I too thought he looked too old for the role.
Sometimes, Mo, I get the Hernandez siblings confused with the Lopez-Fitzgerald siblings ( PASSIONS), LOL.
I was a bit dissapointed. I thought he was far too old to play Dario, who seemed to be in his early 20s last time he was in Salem, and he was a lot cuter. Now he looks closer in age to Rafe, when he used to be closer in age to Gabi. He was part of the Chad, Mel, Abby, Will teen scene, but now he’s the same age as Shawn and Belle. It’ll take me a while to get used to him, just as it has been with New Phillip.
I guess he was okay, I mean, I wasn’t overly impressed. I do remember him on All My Children where he played a doctor and his sister got involved with Dr David Hayward played by Vince I. who is now also on Days.
But, the storyline is, I don’t know, stupid…LoL…I don’t know what else to call it, it just doesn’t thrill me. Brady is having Daniel’s memories because he now has Daniel’s heart beating in his chest. Yeah, uh huh okay, yes, that can happen…..maybe in a grade B Science Fiction movie I suppose.
Maybe it really IS just me but I thought the show was stronger when it centered around Sonny, Will, Paige, EJ and Sammi. I guess we all have our own preference for characters and storylines but right now, Belle’s problems don’t ring true to me (how’s THAT for a pun) and I am not that enthralled by Ciarra getting attacked by her supposed “stepbrother”.
I DO like Kate Mansi as Abby but we all know she’s leaving so who knows if they will recast the character or what they will do – my guess is they will recast since she is so involved with Chad.
Right now, I sort of watch the show just to watch it, it doesn’t draw me in very deeply, they need to come up with something a bit more compelling.
Absolutely, Tim W. I agree with your every word. Most of what you and I said is practically identical. Later.
Don’t get the storyline that he is MIA from his family and decided to bartend. Doesn’t seem to jive with the past Dario.
I’m like whatever. Not into this whole Summer story either. Or many of the stories on the show at the mo. Lots of bad acting and bad writing. Hate to say it, but it’s true.
Oh please I like So agree – this gal Summer, who of course is a long lost sister of so and so…please. The writers need to surely come up with something more compelling than this shlock….it’s the same old same old….
I KNEW they couldn’t POSSIBLY stay on the innovative road with Will, Sonny and those other characters of that time….
The writers just really need to brainstorm and come up with some interesting storylines, Brady searching for a girl on the beach……that he has seen in his dreams…..uh, because he has Daniel’s heart now…..really? Honestly? I watch the show and I think, why am I watching this now? What is there for me to relate to?
The very young people on the show, and I know they are less experienced in dramatic arts, aren’t very convincing.
whole Daniel and Brady story is unwatchable.
Too many Hernandez members right now!!!!!!
If the show needs cuts they need to cut this.
if the vets get backburnered or exited we will have what Corday indicated is a Days that is UNRECOGNIZABLE and those of us who returned and gave Days its newfound ratings will be marching on and away
You know, sorry to say that is true. To me, it’s like, what am I watching? Brady chasing after a woman he saw in a dream? Sooo stupid and far fetched….oh and yes he just had a Heart transplant so of course he is diving in the ocean…uh ok…yeah that could happen.
All right, I know characters coming and go but on this show if you blink a character is gone….and then there are an abundance of very very young kids on the show. I am older, a more mature viewer so what is there for me to relate to? I am now over 50, I guess maybe my feelings don’t count in the target demographic but let me tell you right now this show is a snooze-fest.
