In case you missed last night’s two hour internet/radio special on BlazinRy Radio on the BlogTalkRadio Network, host, Ryan Holmes welcomed as his special guest and co-host for the evening, On-Air On-Soaps Michael Fairman for the OLTL Finale Special.

Michael shared this thoughts on the finale and the conclusion of One Life to Live after its 43-year run on network television.  Michael and Ryan also heard from callers who shared their heartbreak and sentiments at losing their favorite soap. And you, the fans of OLTL, made this BlogTalkRadio Special the number one most listened to broadcast on Friday and Saturday on their entire Internet radio network!

In addition, our very special guests, One Life to Live’s John-Paul Lavoisier, Melissa Archer and Kristen Alderson all gave insight for the first time publicly on what went down behind the scenes during the taping of their final scenes, and their final moments together as a cast at ABC, and much more. The talented trio and Llanview favorites also took time out to field questions from the fans.

The big question of the night as to would Melissa Archer be joining Michael Easton over at General Hospital, was also responded to by the actress.  Make sure to listen to the show for her answer! During the special it was revealed by the OLTL stars that they were all gathering at the Alderson’s to watch the final episode of One Life for the first time that aired earlier in the day.

Michael, I enjoyed your radio show last night. It was so great to hear from your three guests And how lucky were those call-ins to be able to speak with JP, Kristen, and Melissa. Each one was very out going in their reparte’ with the guests. I do have to say though, I tried to call many times and couldn’t get through. But I did listen to the full 2 hours and thought they were very easy to talk to for those that were able to get through.I understand that your show was number one on that network. The show was very fortunate to have you and your soap expertise. OLTL was my favorite soap. The last 2 episodes were written and played beautifully. Bravo to Ron and the actors. It couldn’t have been easy to finish your lines, knowing that it was the finale to many, many years and involvement in the greatest soap of all time, in my estimation. I shed tears and laughed and smiled, but I was not happy at all. Thank you,Michael, for caring so much about OLTL, and all the work you do to inform us and tell the stories and the inside scoops. I wiil be wating to see what is happening next….

just listening to the music makes me want to cry.As i am listening to this I Hear how so many feel the same as I do.I wish my grandmother and my best friend linda who I started watching with, both who are gone now ,could be with me now ,Its a part of my, one life to live ,Its so sad.I hope the gh fans,I am one to ,will not get mad at me ,but I agree that abc canceled the wrong show and Ive also said maybe thats why frons was let go ,someone didnt do there homework ,I watched all the abc soaps and one life to live is the best show ever, No other show will be number 1 for me,the cast ,the writing ,brilliant, and I have to say this, yea victor is alive todd is not a killer.Tomorrow will be a very hard ,43 years I have watched ,thats a long time ,there is nothing to do at that time ,its been filled with such joy and the best drama, love ,comedy ,and now ,nothing to fill the 2 hours I spent in landview and pine valley. This is real.its over I cant say that we have 1 more day ,the one day is over .since all my children went off the air I have begun my quest to remove abc from my television ,I watched the 2 soaps that were left ,now there is one,and abc continues to ignore what all the soap fans are saying we dont want those trashy cheap shows ,we want our soaps back if not ,we watch general hospital, one hour a day ,thats it .and abc you cant lie ,a shitload of us one life to live fans,we will be watching,so you cant lie about the ratings, and tell us the chew and the revolution beat one life to live ,it wont happen ,and katie couric ,FORGET IT.43 years of history ,gone ,because of abcs greed,I hope the money feels good .but abc will never be a class network again ,its to far gone.

Trevor I think you did Todd the best!! You had the moves, facial expressions and I just think you played it perfect. I know the long die hard fans watched Roger back and he’s okay but he is certainly no Trevor St. John. Thank you for all the years you played such a wonderful Todd.

(Barb, I didn’t know U were nearby. We got to get together for lunch toward our movement). Lol

This I got off another forum….is there truth to this Michael or any possibility??

‘Hey Guys,

Remember the hints I gave you yesterday about the two more on their way to GH from OLTL? Many of you guessed Trevor St John (especially after what I reminded you about today along with the hints from yesterday). I told you again and again that Victor was not dead, Todd did not kill him, and that you would see him again before the show closed (we have come full circle today). Dry those eyes my fellow Trevor St John fans.. You will have reason to smile here very soon! You heard it here first (get ready)!’

XOXO!

I usually believe NOTHING from this columinst, however is it too much to ask for egg on my face and have this come true?? Thoughts?? ‘

I read this to ,I hope it is true ,been searching everywhere for any news for one life to live, and I keep comming back here because, I feel right at home.and at 2 oclock tomorrow it will be very strange not to make my daily visit to landview,I am very sure I will not be alone ,so right here is where I will be,michael i loved your radio interview call in ,there are no words to say ,keep up the abc fight ,give agnes nixon her stories back ,theres so much to do,I cant give up.

Hey barb; See you been busy today, voicing your opinions. I just got back in. Funny, you said you will be here tomorow at 2pm. U have to tell people since you post allot to send soap to abc and canel cable for a Dish (Disney channels make no money) Facebook petition, and list the telephone number. Do a copy/past from mind and place it in your draft inbox, and go to it when you post on here, post it, and than finish whatever else you are writing above. We gota keep this message Hot and alive.

Deb, a few things:
1. What did you remind them of today, bc I dont see a post for that.
2. You gave hints, yesterday?
3. Where did you get your hints from? Who is this columist you are speaking of, that you believe nothing from?
4. When and WHO said 2 more were on their way to General Hospital? I have not heard that anywhere.

Can you answer all 4 please? Yes, I’M A DIE HEART, Trevor St. John fan if you have been reading my post. And it’s bc he is just an awesome actor. He had an impossible role to fill playing Todd, and the fans gave him a rough time in the beginning. But he hung in there with us, and we hung in there with him. He made Todd GROW UP, and changed the entire recipe of Todd. AND now whomever replaces him/ his role as Todd is going to have a Hellava hard time filling the shoes as TSJohn asTodd. And that means R. Howarth. When you (as an actor) rise to the ocassion of such a complicated character, and play it MORE COMPELING than the original, you have NOW made the original (R. Howarth’s) job impossible. And thats means your a awesome MF. By the time TSJ finished with “us” and Todd… HE ” was” the original Todd, and Roger Howarth has come to play the recast. LMAO. That’s how its seems, I’m NOT being facetious! I study Howarth, just as we all would study a recast. This is real talk, not make believe.

For the Record: Just because Victor is alive, DOESN’T mean Todd didn’t shot him! It JUST MEANS that Todd didn’t KILL him. Because the shooter intented for him to die.

What r u talking about reminding who of what??
You gave hints yesterday?? What does that mean??
You are making NO sense. I owe nobody an explanation.
I simply quoted something from Raven.
Curious?? Go check out her column.

Her columns are usually right.

Raven??

Whose columns?????? You answered BUT failed to answer the questsion that I was asking. Whose columns???????

I want to know to ,I read it on facebook dont remember where ,one of the soap sights and I think the person was writing for someone else,so i have no clue who the writer is but I did see it ,word for word as deb says .called abc again I wonder if they listen to there voice mail.Ill go there again tomorrow ,I also went to a news place they were talking about the revolution and we are like hamsters ,well that pissed me off so gave them a piece of my mind in a nice way of course, saying abc will never get me to watch there crap tv.also brought the agnes nixons story being held hostage ,Ive had a very busy day, and will have a busy day tomorrow.

Raven’s. She stated that TSJ would be going to GH but nothing official has been confirmed by the network.

Raven is not a reliable source. She’s just speculating like the rest of us are doing on a daily basis.

So what that she was right about All My Children and One Life to Live being cancelled. She just predicted what many have predicted would happen.

Below is the “who and what”, I am talking about. You wrote below, you gave hints yesterday. I, am simply asking hints from where, whom, and where did you get the hints from. I am following the conversation from your written words below. Therefore it you dont have the answer’s to your OWN post, quite frankly, you are making NO sense! You’re on here conversating, conversing, giving information WE ARE ALL SEEKING, and then you have the NERVE to say, U “owe nobody no explanation! ” What? Then don’t give information that leads into a discussion. Now THAT MAKES SENSE. All you had to reply was ” The columnist is Raven, I was quoting Raven. ” That’s it! You can’t recall your own post! The negative banter was unnecessary. And you should have added Raven’s name after it, so no one would contact you back thinking you gave hints etc, yesterday. For the record, Deb, when you Quote someone you add THEIR name to it. That’s English Computation 101 (if you ever heard such a thing). I quote people on here and add their NAME so it’s clear that I am not saying it, therefore I will get no inquiries back! Eat Cheese!

Isn’t this your post?:

Iloveabcsoap………take a freakin pill!!

Are you human??

Your not too bright. If you see where there are quotes, that is someone else talking.
The entire post was someone else talking.
Wouldn’t it have been easier just to ask where the post came from instead ‘numbering’ points to me??

Go take your meds.

Eat Cheese and be “Raven” mad.

(See, my work, this is what I am talking about).

Sorry, I dont see any quotation marks. What I see is a single puntuation. this> ‘

From Wikipedia:
” The apostrophe ( ’ , often rendered as ‘ ) is a punctuation mark, and sometimes a diacritic mark, in languages that use the Latin alphabet or certain other alphabets.”
In English writing, quotation marks or inverted commas (informally referred to as quotes or speech marks)[1] are punctuation marks surrounding a quotation, direct speech. Quotation marks are written as a pair of opening and closing marks.”

Ok, you have “Hey guys” on a separate line, as IF you are the speaker. The quote which U claim isn’t even VISUAL until the end of your paragraph. If you’re quoting someone, it should all be on the same line for clarity if you want to get technical. And according to Wikipedia, U used a punctuation mark. Nonetheless, my post was nice, not affensive. U replied offensive. Moreover, BUT MOST IMPORTANT, since U are using punctuation as quotes, it would make sense to your READER if you had the paragraph ALL on the same line, BC ” Hey Folk” seems AS IF you are addressing us on the site. In addition, if you are going to QUOTE someone, IT WOULD BE NICE TO ADD THE SOURCE, who, and name them, and THAT REALLY is the bottom line. As a writer, you can’t assume for your reader, THEY are not informed unless U tell them, and U DID NOT. Finally, someone else on here barbara t, posted that “she would like to know too.” And no it wasn’t “easier to ask where the post came from” BC you didn’t make it clear that it was a post. U gave no SOURCE for your quotes in two different paragraphs (which I am willing to give U half credit for bc they are ACTUALLY punctation marks. IF it was clear to you that I didn’t know it was a post, All you had to reply was , “The columnist is Raven, I was quoting Raven. ” I didn’t attack you. I even asked you, could you answer all 4 please and then went into having (what I thought was a conversation with you). And you send me back a smart remark, and attacks since that one. When people are wrong they usually begin to attack. U must of not got LAID today, or your alcohole has run dry. Nonetheless, GO GET AN EDUCATION, and get some MANNERS WHILE YOUR AT IT. My ORIGINAL post was very nice to U.
AND…………..

Raven’s. She stated that TSJ would be going to GH but nothing official has been confirmed by the network.

See how I stated the SOURCE(S) barbara t and nbagtag.
barbara t wanted to know (like me) and nbagtag gave the information (U did not).

CLASS CLOSED!

Case NOT Closed. You are still an inbelsile. Look up that meaning!

I don’t attack, I Educate…! : )

CLASS CLOSED!

Your in no position to educate. You didn’t understand a post and the result is you put blame elsewhere.
Anyone reading these posts will see how foolish you are making something out of your own lack of intelligence.
Why don’t you go buy a TSJ doll? Give you some kind of a life?? lol

Im looking for a house md doll ,does anyone know where I can buy one?Im a doll collector.I like both of the todds ,well victor and todd ,that was a very good Idea by ron.that way we can have them both ,because both actors are liked by the fans ,did everyone send there soap to abc ? sign the agnes nixon swan ,get her soaps back ,and there are petitions all over the place on facebook ,we are going after abc.we cant stop nagging them ,someone over there has to hear us .and call abc 818 460 7477/663 and 818 560 1000/2.I call every day.who knows maybe they will change there phone number.then we can start all over with another number.

Dear Michael,
Thank you so much for the radio interviews. Thank you to JP, Melissa, Kristen for taking the time to call in.:)
I just want to say to the actors , thank you! The last two weeks I have been in denial about OLTL ending. Until I saw Thursday”s show, beautifully done! Wow! Erika Slezak’s speech was like a thank you to the fans . It summed up the way I’ve felt about this show for over 20 yrs! It felt like the actors and writiers understood the love and sorrow we feel and are sharing theirs with us.

You all will be missed and I appreciate all of your years of hard work!!

Thank you Michael for bringing us a little piece of the “real” people behind the characters. You have a talent for asking all that I want to know,

Take Care,
Dani

Yes, Michael is pretty talented with those questions. And awesome to think of this wonderful, interactive site that is always bursting with energy, you can feel it.

very sad after 43 years, so many memories one life to live will surely be missed!!!!!

Michael this interview that you posted is makings its way around to different sites.
Congrats on a job well done!

As she stated above,
” Howarth is ok, but he aint no Trevor Saint John”.

* NO ONE can play Todd better than (not the original) BUT Todd, #2, the re-cast! And that is REAL talk. U can be a fan of BOTH of them. Trevor St. John is just too cool for school. The man needs to be in scenes with Sonny, Luke, and Lucky. COMPELING!

Great Show, Michael! 😀

Michael

I honestly enjoyed the show and hearing from all 3 special guests. From my perspective all three of them have given Emmy winning material each to numerous to name. I wish that they all submitted their best work. The cast and crew at OLTL are all appreciated so much.
Michael,I also appreciate what you bring to the soap opera genre. It’s like giving back.:)

Michael I just got this off GHHappenings and I hope you don’t mind me sharing it.
This may put some ‘rumors’ to rest for now.

Kassie DePavia (Blair Manning, OLTL) posted the following on her Official Website:

“I must say the ads and press release by ABC is a little misleading and I feel I need to clarify to all my friends, family and fans…wondering when I’m moving to Los Angeles. Frank Valentine, GH’s EP, asked me to come out for a couple of shows in February and I’m thrilled. Not only will I get to work with a fantastic cast…but a little piece of OLTL will live on. That makes me very happy. And who knows where it will lead. Once the Mannings come to town anything is possible. I wish everyone at GH the best. No one loves daytime more than Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati and no one works harder than those two men. GH is in good hands and hopefully ABC will let GH live on! See ya’ll soon in Port Charles!”

Doesn’t sound to me like she is relocating to LA with her family!

On Friday, reports surfaced that Steve Kent, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming at Sony Pictures Television, is no longer with the company and overseeing the Sony soap operas, Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless.

According to Soap Opera Digest, a set side source reported that Kent’s last day was last Friday, April 12th, which was one day after what would have been his final appearance in his Sony VP role at the Days of our Lives 15,000th episode on set celebration.

During that ceremony, Kent gave a brief speech giving kudos to DAYS for its incredible milestone. Days is a co-production of Sony Pictures Television and Corday Productions, while Y&R is produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company in association with Sony Pictures Television.
