On-Air On-Soaps caught up with some of the dazzling stars of Revenge, and the executive behind the scenes, to get some inside scoops of what is to come, how they like working with each other, why the series has become such a runaway hit, their thoughts on daytime soaps, and of course, some dishy and fun tidbits!  These steamy stars truly know how to show us ….] The art of revenge!

Madeleine Stowe plays the icy queen and head of the Grayson household, Victoria, out in the oh-so-rich Hamptons!  Victoria has in short order become of the most delicious primetime soap roles in recent history, and Stowe is playing the heck of out of  it, and winning rave reviews in the process.  After many years away from the acting profession taking care of her child and living in a small town Texas,  Madeleine felt this role on Revenge, was enough to entice her back to Hollywood and begin a new project!  And, we are so glad she did.   Here is our very “quickie” chat with Madeleine!

You have to be pinching yourself at the success of this series, after taking so many years off from the acting profession, and coming back into a hit sensation?

MADELEINE:  It’s astonishing, isn’t it?  You never know what is going to work and what isn’t.  I had been away for so long and it’s Mike Kelley, our creator, who has developed something very interesting.  There is a lot of growth and expansion of the characters, and it goes deeper and deeper, and it’s kind of a fascinating moment in our pop culture with Revenge.  I love it.

Emily VanCamp (Emily Thorne) and you have some delicious moments where you try to out-fox and out-bitch each other!  Do the two of you have a good laugh after shooting something like that?

MADELEINE:  Oh my God.  We are always laughing.  We go, “This is so sick and demented!”

It is so twisted!

MADELEINE: Very much so, but in real life Emily is a very balanced young lady, so it makes things very helpful.

What is your favorite part of playing this mysterious and villainess, Victoria Grayson?

MADELEINE: Well, I think she is a combination of contradictions.  I think she loves very powerfully.  I think there is going to be a love story that comes up for her from the past that is really fascinating and intriguing, and dark and twisted and tragic at the same time.  So I always like coming from that kind of a place.

Conrad and Victoria always seem to be thrown back together.  Are they going to end up with each other in the long run?

MADELEINE: Yes, they do seem to end up in each others orbit, but I don’t think these two are destined to be together because of circumstances.  They have had a very difficult marriage to say the least.  Everything is about her son for her.  So whatever she has to do to save him she will do.  She is about to do something very shocking in an upcoming episode.  I think in her mind she is doing something to her son in order to save him!

Revenge returns with an all-new episode on April 18th called “Doubt” here is the lowdown:  Daniel’s imprisonment sends Victoria to depths that no one thought possible, as the surprise return of a past love provides a destructive but welcome distraction from her family’s struggles. Meanwhile, Jack’s search for Amanda grows more desperate as he comes under suspicion for murder, on Revenge, 10PM EST, Wednesday nights on ABC.
