Next week on the Wednesday June 8th episode of Days of our Lives, look for another character-centric episode offered up by the NBC daytime drama.  This time it’s Hope (Kristian Alfonso) who will take a journey as she is visited by many of the men from her past to help her through an emotional time.

Chief among them is the return of Peter Reckell (Bo Brady) who is integral to the episode as the late Bo Brady, also be on the lookout for: Andrew Masset as Hope’s first husband Larry Welch,  and Joseph Mascolo as Stefano DiMera, Hope’s arch-nemesis and the man she murdered.

And look for a very special moment indeed when Hope reconnects with the grown-up version of her little boy Zack, who perished in a heartbreaking story in 2006, after he was hit by car driven by Bo’s daughter Chelsea.

Actor Scott Shilstone will be portraying the all grown-up version of Bo and Hope’s son, which should surely bring out the hankies for longtime DAYS fans.

Just what the outcome of all these “visits” for Hope will be and how it wil affect her relationships in the present with Rafe (Galen Gering) and Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove), DAYS fans will have to tune-in and find out.

So, excited to see Peter Reckell, Andrew Masset, Joseph Mascolo and Scott Shilstone as Zack in this upcoming episode? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

Sounds interesting but will wait and see if its as good as Jen’s episode…Patricia Barry who played Hope and Julie’s mom Addie is now 93 years old…too bad she is no longer acting…it would have been nice had she made a cameo!!!

Grown up Zack looks like he would be Chad’s brother…

Wouldn’t Patricia Barry making a comeback have been fantastic!!

That would be great. Patricia Barry is now 94 years old.

We might be surprised, Jimmy. Patricia Barry could make an appearance. BTW, I googled Patricia Barry…The top of the Google page says she was born November 16, 1921 (94 years old) according to Wikipedia, but when clicking Wikipedia the year born is 1922 (93 years old). I hope she knows when she was born. If not, I wouldn’t count on an appearance and if she does appear, years from now Wikipedia may say said appearance was in two different years, LOL!

How heart wrenching that story was with Zack. Just reading that I need a hankie already.

Bring Zack from the dead. It’s possible. Put Shilstone on contract. GH brought back Jake from the dead to give Luke peace and closure. Andre could have kept Zack. Zack returns with no memory and reconnects with Hope which could help her a lot.

It should be thrilling!

I can’t wait for this episode. I LOVE Peter Reckell. I wish that NBC could talk him in to coming back. Days is not the same without him. Bope is Day’s greatest love story of all time and it always will be. Bo was such an important part of Salem. I know I will need lots of tissues when this episode airs. Peter and Kristen’s chemistry together is off the charts. They are at their best when they are together. Love them both. I will ALWAYS want Bo Brady back in Salem. Maybe one day he will come back to where he belongs. ♡

I would love for Peter to come back full time. However, I understand why he left DOL. Peter has a young daughter who needs more of his time not less. And after 30 years on DOL, Peter more than likely wanted to move on to a different life away from Los Angeles. Which is way he moved his family to Oregon.

Can’t wait!

They should have Patrick ‘revisit’ her – they were great together! 🙂

I glad bo will be back and her son

damn… too bad… besides these special events, days is unbearable right now…
unfortunate because possiblities like these prove how much potential days has if only it had the right people at the helm

Agree.. def been skipping watching episodes these days.. not worth my time….

Especially and ALWAYS excited to see Peter (Bo). He has been missed so much. I can appreciate his reasoning to stay home to enjoy his daughter but his fans really love and miss him terribly. He had such incredible chemistry with Kristen (Hope) that it is hard to replicate with anyone else. He is such a talented actor and we miss his antics with friend Steve, and on screen wife Hope. I love you Peter and it will be so awesome to see you again. Too bad they brought you back for the 50th for such a short time. Everyone’s acting was superb!!!

ALL OF THE PHENOMENAL ACTORS, WE NEED PETER RECKELL TO COME HOME TO SEAM AND STAY,THERE IS TO MUCH MISSING WITH HIM NOT ON THE SHOW PLEASE COME BACK TO US, U ARE SO MISSED BY SO MEANY, much love to you

I thinK Peter made it clear that after 30 years he is no longer wants to be Bo Brady. Then there is the commute from Oregon to Los Angeles. Peter may not wan to do that.

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out for Hope. I love Days, been watching cents I was a teen & now I’m a mom, wow how time flies. <3 Love you guys & gals of Days, keep up the great acting & I will be watching for sure. <3 xo

Days seems good at bringing people back for short term stints. I’m glad Peter Reckell came back for an episode but the show is not good enough to watch on a regular basis anymore sadly.

What is it with Days and their character biopics? Is this a precursor to the beginning of the end of DOOL as we know it?

Guiding Light did it for like a year or so in it’s final years. Every Wednesday was focused on a character or couple, and they even did fantasy things also. So this seems like the same thing.

That’s what I’m worried about, cancellation. These alone stand alone episodes does nothing for the ratings.

HI MICHAEL : TY HAVE NOT WATCHED SINCE NOV. THERE ARE SOME WONDERFUL ACTORS FROM DOOL I MISS,WATCHED FROM 1965 I WILL WATCH 6/8 BUT I STILL BELIEVE THE GLUE THAT HELD IT TOGETHER FROM 1983 WAS FRANCES REID & PETER RECKELL THEY LOVED EACH OTHER ON & OFF SCREEN & IT CAME ACROSS AS MAGIC THE TOTAL LOVE OF FAMILY !!! THEN IT WAS THE AWESOME TRUE LOVE OF BO/HOPE AS A VIEWER FROM THE START B/H & B/A GAVE US THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FANTASY OF TRUE LOVE WHERE WE COULD GO FOR A FEW MIN. & OUT OF REAL LIFE TRIALS & DREAM, I KNOW THIS NEW GENERATION WAS NOT ALL THERE THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY MISSED. TIME GOES ON I LOVE KRISTIAN ,BUT THE MAGIC IS GONE NOT BECAUSE OF HER & THE ACTORS, BUT BECAUSE THIS WORLD HAS GONE IN TO A UNHAPPY DIRECTION. IT IS HURTING AND IT NEEDS THAT MAGIC LOVE FOREVER FAMILY’S. I DON’T THINK DOOL CAN CAPTURE IT BACK BECAUSE THE WORLD CAN’T SEE IT. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE AWESOME ACTORS. PETER HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL TENDERNESS ABOUT HIS ACTING GOD GAVE HIM . PLEASE THERE ARE AMAZING OLD & NEW ACTORS WOW !!!! AT THIS TIME THERE AWESOME ACTING IS BEING LOST BECAUSE OF THE WORLD. I PRAY FOR DOOL & WRITERS THAT THEY COULD GET IT BACK, I DON’T THINK SO. MY LOVE TO PETER, KRISTIAN, ALL THE AMAZING ACTORS & DOOL.

DAYS’ special, stand-alone episodes have been really good and I’m sure this will be no exception! On a day-to-day basis, I’ve been losing interest because there are NO good, involving love stories. But episodes like the Jack&Jennifer one last week, and this upcoming Bo&Hope one, remind me how great DAYS used to be, and I will watch if only for old-times’ sake.

I used to like the character Hope, but over the last year they change her essence that I am not interested in a whole episode devoted to her, even with the blasts from the past and clips that will come with it. Also the character is in most episodes, so I rather have a episode featuring a character who rarely gets any air time

Cant wait, this is hopefully gonna b a tear jerker! I really hope the writers’s do it wonderfully!!!
I absolutely loved Jenn’s! IMO

This episode sounds like it is going to be really good and emotional. It will be nice to see Bo and Larry again. The Zack character all grown up is a nice added touch.Hope seeing Zack again is going to be very touching.

I wish they would stop with these stand alone episodes. Once a year, okay, but three or four no. Especially when we’ve just had two fairly close together. And frankly, I’m not all that interested in this idea. Let’s move on with story.

Guiding Light did this in their final years with a stand alone episode every Wednesday and it was a horrible thing even back then.

I can’t wait to see Bo and Hope together again and all the rest of the people coming back l wish Bo was coming back for good he is truly missed

I wish Days would just relocate people out of Salem that way they could return at times needed, Quit killing off people and then bringing all of the ghost back! I love Bo to, but he does not want to be on the show anymore. Please get a husband and wife team going like Alice and Tom. So tired of watching things that are on the dark side. Get back to some fun in the show, we hear and see enough cruel things happening in the real world, let us escape to a make believe world for and hour each day.

I really wish you guys would leave things alone. It is just more saddness

I really miss Peter Reckell! Days just is not the same without him… I met Peter in 1985, he is an awesome actor and a wonderful person!

Let the past few months all be a dream (Dallas) and bring little Ciara and little Chase back to our screens; get rid of the BORING, no-talent teen scene!

No kidding! God forbid they just let the young Ciara grow into a teenager. Huge mistake.

I seem to only tune in to DOOL for these “very special episodes”. They’re a good idea, I guess, but once they’re done, I tune back out. The stories just don’t interest me at all. But I think it’s a great idea to do an episode which features Hope and her long history on the show, and I love the idea of seeing Zack, and of course, having PR back for any amount of time. I’ll be there for Bope and Zack.

I miss the Old Days like crazy!! It seems interesting to me though that they would bring back a character like Zach for one episode. This also meant finding the perfect actor to play grown up Zach just for one or two episodes. I’m wondering if Zach is still alive?? This could be the beginning of a awesome new storyline and bring Bo back periodically until hopefully he does come back for good. Who thought that we would see him again on Days as Bo so soon. This gives me hope for a returning Bo. I still don’t understand why they have not brought Jack back for good. This show needs the Jack and Jennifer super couple from the past. The episode with him last week was so refreshing and made me miss him more than ever. They are so good together and he brings back that sparkle in his eye for Jennifer, the romance and comedy the show is missing.I love Matthew Ashford and miss all the Jack antics. Days needs to bring back some of the characters from the 80s and their unforgettable storylines, like Shane and Kimberly, Eugene and Caliope, Jack and Jennifer, Tony, Renee, Anna, Stefano, Carrie, Austin, Bo, Liz, the Bannings, etc. The ISA stories were great and all the places they traveled too on location. All we see now is Salem. It would be Awesome for Roman to get a new and intriguing storyline again. I remember being a teenager in the 1980s and I couldn’t miss a episode and neither could anyone else that was a fan. It would be great to see Sami and Ej again even if it was on a perodic basis. Who remembers when Roman and Marlena were a super couple and rocked every episode they were in? These couples I mentioned made us stop what ever we were doing no matter where we were or what we were doing and tune in. I hope that the Days writers start remembering the good old Days and bring back the supposedly dead. I think if this did happen Days would be on top again and not on life support. I miss wanting to watch every episode and imagining what will happen next.

they should bring Zack back again in a dream to Ciara to help her through things like he did with Hope. wish they never killed him off he turned out to be such a little Hottie. Hope needs all of her children with her.

Can Days ever remember JT? There is another little boy out there that Bo and Hope were raising as their own until he was returned to his actual parents. I hate that he is never mentioned!

It was great great great to see all the men with hope.l taped and watched it also and watched it over and over again, crying

Thanks for the storyline this is what your fans and the Kleenex company need

wish Zack could stay he turned out so cute! just like his brother Shawn would love to see Hope have all her children with her 🙂

what i don’t get is that Claire was a baby when Zack was alive how is it that her and Ciara are the same age? wouldn’t Zack be older then her same with Theo?

Peter

I Am huge fan of you on the nbc days star’s I really huge fan of you.

Days Of Our Lives

Days of our Lives Star, Greg Vaughan, Gives Health Update and Thanks Everyone for Their Support

Greg Vaughan (Eric, Days of our Lives, ex-Lucky, GH, and ex-Diego, Y&R) provided an update on his health on Sunday, March 17th. Vaughan had previously shared that he had become ill during a trip with his sons to Colorado, and had developed altitude sickness when he was having trouble breathing accompanied by terrible headaches and landed in the urgent care.

Now on St. Patrick’s Day, Greg took to his Instagram and shared how he is feeling now, and to thank everyone for their love and support.  As it turned out, Vaughan was diagnosed with high altitude pulmonary edema, commonly known as HAPE. However, he is on the mend slowly and surely.

In his new video post, the DAYS favorite started by expressing, “I just felt such an appreciation and gratitude for everything. . reaching out. Your prayers have been felt. It’s been a struggle, but I’m over the top. And, taking this moment just to say I didn’t realize the things that I was going through. My (original) post was simply just to educate, put some information out there and some things that I was feeling, just share that information and the struggle that I was going through, which I didn’t quite understand. And it wasn’t because I’m stubborn or just because I’m a father, a man, and didn’t want to go to a doctor. It is just something I thought was so minor that I could overcome it, just by taking care of myself.”

The Daytime Emmy winner then revealed his actual diagnosis, “So, basically my situation was high altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE). With some good friends, doctors that had reached out to me, it kind of gave me some understanding on the aftermath, which was very, very beneficial.”

“But I’ve been resting, taking care of myself even though I live in a hamster wheel,” said the dad of three teenaged boys. “I gotta get up and, you know, do my normal domesticated stuff, eventually. I’m tired of laying down in this bed, but, I am feeling much better.”

Photo: GVaughanIG

Talking on his confusion of trying to understand what could have been ailing him, Vaughan expressed, “I couldn’t quite figure it out, even though I was emphasizing and professing to my children going on our spring break getaway about hydration. I professed it. But, even though I was acting on it, it had a greater effect on me, and for which I did not even think, because my head was such in pain, and I was in a very bad state of mind – not being able to be out there with my kids on the mountain, enjoying their time, as well. I thought I was doing the right thing. Unfortunately, my lungs were full of fluids and my head was in severe pain and even migraine pills didn’t even help. So, I just want anybody that goes into the Colorado Mountains to know, it is no joke. It is this very serious thing which I guess is why they call it the Mile High City.”

Greg had a mountain of ‘thank you’s’ to give for the outreach he received from his original post, “For everybody internationally, wherever you are, I love you and I appreciate you and just the time and the thoughts that you’ve shared with me,” said Vaughan. “I didn’t realize that it would make such an impression on so many people around the world. I feel tremendously loved and I can’t say it enough. I’m good. And I appreciate you.”

Photo: GVaughanIG

The actor concluded his video with, “To all the family and friends that have reached out to me, man, it means the world. So take care of yourself, enjoy your spring break with your families. It’s Saint Patty’s Day, obviously. I wish I could be out there.” Vaughan added, “I feel loved and touched and I can’t emphasize that enough. I’ll take better care of myself, promise you will do the same.” Before he signed off, Greg shared, “Just know, that I’m alive and well and breathing, and I’m sore. So, be well, take care. I mean it. Thank you, tremendously.”

Glad to know that Greg has been on the mend, and shared his appreciation for everyone that reached out to him during this trying time? Comment below.

Days of our Lives Star Greg Vaughan Shares Sudden Health Scare: “I Truly Feel Like I Work & Live in a Soap Opera!”

What started out as an adventure with his sons, quickly turned into a nightmare for Days of our Lives Daytime Emmy winner, Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady).

In a series of Instagram posts, Vaughan shared the sudden health crisis he found himself in.  The images show Greg with an oxygen tank to help him breathe.

The actor began to fill people, sharing, “I’ve said more than a few times, I truly feel like I work & live in a Soap Opera! 🤪 this trip was nothing short of another great Vaughan adventure!”

He went on to say that on a father and son Colorado spring break trip, he began to feel shortness of breath, feeling tired and with a headache and after two days of hoping he would feel better, Vaughan finally went to an Urgent Care to get checked out.

Photo: GVaughanIG

“I finally surrendered & went to urgent care and to my shock I learned that I was experiencing severe altitude sickness.” Vaughan admitted. “My Blood Oxygen was at 54% & my lungs were full of fluids! Blood oxygen, also known as oxygen saturation, represents the percentage of hemoglobin in your red blood cells that is carrying oxygen. Most people have an oxygen level of 95-100%….”

Providing more detail to his health scare, Greg shared, “Well, 4hrs later, a couple of bags of IV & oxygen tank strapped to my face, I was told that I needed to immediately get off the mountain! However I couldn’t, we still had another day to go & wanting the boys to enjoy their last day on the hill tops! I opted to go home with an oxygen tank, a good laugh for everyone, and I know will follow, but my boys looked after their old man & fortunately they had friends on this trip!”

Photo: JPI

The experience of altitude sickness in the Colorado Rockies gave Vaughan a bit of a new perspective, “In all seriousness, no matter your age, and all the times I’ve ⛷️ & 🏂 in my lifetime, Colorado Rockies is no joke! As they say, ‘ take a breathe and smell the roses!’ That is truly something we need to remember & appreciate! #recover”

Share your well-wishes to Greg as he continues to be on the mend via the comment section below.
