REPORT: Michael E. Knight Done at The Young and the Restless!

Courtesy/CBS

More changes at The Young and the Restless and this one comes about longtime All My Children fan favorite, Michael E. Knight (Ex-Tad Martin).

According to a tweet Friday morning from Michael Logan of TV Guide/TV Insider, Knight will complete his run as Dr. Simon Neville after a few more episodes.

Logan related: “More #YR news: Three time Emmy winner Michael E. Knight out as Dr. Simon Neville after a few more eps. Decision made before EP switch.”

While Knight’s Simon was put in a storyline with another Daytime Emmy winner, Eileen Davidson (Ashley), seems the show may be going in another direction.  Thus far, the CBS Daytime drama has made no announcement or confirmation on Knight’s departure.

Sad to hear Knight seems to be exiting Y&R? Hope he comes to another soap? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

there certainly hasn’t been any “press” about Ashley and/or Dr. Neville

      chalk it up to writing?

I wonder if this is a Mal Young “move” ???

lighting striking twice is so rare…

ED certainly did it… with Ashley and Kristen/Susan/Mary and the man…. LOL

should Mal Young have capitalized on Michael E. Knight Talent… ?

or must he know… his writing team just doesn’t have it in them

      we “addicts” are cursed

this never ending gotta love it cycle

As much as I love him, I have to agree with you; he needs a lighter role.

and i agree with you…a lighter role might have worked better for him!!1

Jiim, Dr Neville was funny as heck. And he didn’t fit in with Y&R because he was never given a chance. They have him in isolation tending to a comatose Hillary in Neil’s boathouse. He could have fitted in–he is an amazingly talented actor who rose above the crap that was thrown at him

Enjoyed him for years on AMC, but he just never caught on with Y&R. He might have stood a better chance if they had kept Cady McClain and paired Simon with Kelly. Both of them might still be on the show. Just goes to show the Jill Farren Phelps has no clue what soap fans want. Glad she’s gone!

Don’t mind the actor, but I did mind the character– sci fi on Y and R? Here’s hoping things return to the origins of the program, starting back in 1970s with groundbreaking, honest and true stories, especially medical ones.

  4. Rod

    June 10, 2016 at 8:10 am

Loved him and Ashey they had really good chemistry & his quirkiness brought out some fun in Ashley too!! Will be sad to see him go but maybe that will mean less Hillary LOL she’s doing a great job being a witch!!

    • Nikki

      June 11, 2016 at 2:38 pm

I loved him with Ashley as well. He brought a lighter side to the show and made Ashley laugh as well. I think there all crazy down there from the writer up. They don’t listen to the fans & get annoyed when we stop watching. Oh well no use complaining nobody is going to do anything. Hope your right Timmm and he goes to G.H. they seem to have a better story than Y & R right now.

@Nikki – I agree and also loved him with Ashley. He brought a lighter side to the show. Very sad indeed!

    June 10, 2016 at 8:16 am

GOOD! He was misused. Very talented but never clicked with anyone on the show. I hope he goes to GH and they pair him with Tracy Quartermanine. Those two would be awesome! BUT, you need a good story. Maybe he is Rachel’s father Raymond Berlin? Yummy!

    • Harry

      June 10, 2016 at 5:35 pm

MEK is only 10 years older than that dreadful Hayden.

      • Celia

        June 12, 2016 at 3:57 pm

That would be 15 years, Harry. Rebecca is only 42.

      • Celia

        June 12, 2016 at 4:02 pm

        Sorry…
        PS.
Remember that William/Julian is only 8 years older than Kelly/Sam (GH), and he plays her father. She looks her age, too….so if we can believe that, we can certainly accept ‘Hayden’ as Michael’s daughter. Rebecca can pass for a thirty-year-old. Not so Kelly, in my opinion.

      • Timmm

      June 10, 2016 at 8:11 pm

OH, OH, I loooove that idea, Timmmy. What a stroke of genius!! But, isn’t he in jail? I bet you’re on the right track, though.
….Gets out on a technicality: enter Michael. I am fantasizing, now. LOL.

      • Timmm

        June 13, 2016 at 6:18 am

Oh C, jail smail, Raymond Berlin is out of jail as soon as ABC decides they want to cast the character ! I know he isn’t much older than Hayden but the white hair helps.

      • Celia

        June 13, 2016 at 10:18 am

        @Timmm.
So true, Timmmy. If TPTB are ready to cast Ray, then, they will. I hope your eish is not out of reach. Technically, Michael is old enough to be Rebecca’s father. It is conceivable. As I said to Harry, if it works between Kelly M and William D, who’s depiction as Sam’s father is outrageous, age wise; then, it should work for Michael and Rebecca.

Ridiculous-keep Michael E. Knight and give him a “real” storyline!

    • Sammie Jo

      June 11, 2016 at 7:39 am

Exactly! I liked him and his quirky personality and he and Ash were great together.
Maybe they’ll rework the story and bring him back.
I would much rather see hillary go.

      • Timmm

        June 13, 2016 at 6:20 am

      • Sammie Jo

        June 13, 2016 at 9:57 am

Oh please, lol not ANOTHER twin! LMAO
It really irked me today to see ash take the fall, didn’t she already try that to save John or was it the reverse? Too long ago to remember.

  8. Magneto

    June 10, 2016 at 8:24 am

Love him as an actor but I think the story has run its course. Honestly it’s time to refocus on the core families and cut down on how many characters are on the canvas. Hilary for example needs to go. Maybe via a “Who dun it?” or drop dead because the meds didn’t work. The whole Victor story is utter trash. I feel for those actors. I want to throw something at the screen every time Victor talks. He never truly pays (even when jailed) and it’s become ridiculous at this point. I’d even suggest him as a victim of a “Who dun it?” Storyline. Bring him back later but appear to whack him initially and perhaps even have the killer be Kelly Andrews back from the dead! Oh and can we just make Patty sane already. That character has so much promise but has been kept the resident loon for way to long. Wrap up the whole Sage’s baby story and give custody to Adam and Chelsea.

    • Timmm

      June 13, 2016 at 6:22 am

Dr. Neville could have “cured” Patty.

      • Celia

        June 13, 2016 at 11:34 am

Yes, he could have cured Patty by ‘de-Jacking’ her. Ha! My Timmmbo!

    June 10, 2016 at 8:25 am

I’ve watched Michael Knight on soaps since the first day he came on AMC. I was so glad to see him on Y&R and very sad that he’s leaving. I really thought there was a storyline brewing for him with Ashley…..In any event, I truly hope to see him on another soap very soon!!

  10. jaybird369

    June 10, 2016 at 8:26 am

Y&R…VERY, VERY D-U-M-B MOVE ON YOUR PART!!!!! Morons.

    • Abruzzfan

      June 13, 2016 at 8:10 pm

      @jaybird369 I completely agree!

  11. Mary SF

    June 10, 2016 at 8:29 am

Nothing against the actor, but the story they stuck him and his character in was lame beyond description. So if his leaving means this whole miracle drug that isn’t story will go way, I am all for it.

And it is my profound hope that all soaps stop this silliness of stunt casting, bringing in a big name for what are essentially dead end roles. These talented men and woman deserve better–

    • Harry

      June 10, 2016 at 5:37 pm

Right–no actor can make bad writing work for a long period of time. They painted MEK into a corner and then that horrid JPF comes in for the kill.

  12. Bart

    June 10, 2016 at 8:33 am

One of the dumbest storylines ever on “Y & R” – pointless, convoluted and preposterous!!

  13. Dr Helen Ruth

    June 10, 2016 at 8:49 am

I am in mourning over this. I love him. He was one of my favorites on “All My Children” and was a breath of fresh air on Y&R under Pratt, as he had humor and wasn’t always yelling and screaming at other people. Plus he’s an excellent actor.

    • Celia

      June 11, 2016 at 7:53 am

You bet, Dr. I’m with Timmm. He should be Ray Berlin on GH. Michael is such a versatile actor-of-many-faces. His good looks and easy-going personality can make one eat out of his hand.
He was, Tad, the Cad, afterall. He can certainly assume the role of Ray B.

      • Timmm

        June 13, 2016 at 6:24 am

        I pray I’m right C!

      • Celia

        June 13, 2016 at 11:44 am

        @Timmm.
        Hey, Timmmy,
What about this…..what if Michael is a Cassadine? I would love to see a wicked Michael. I know he’d be able to work that role.
What if he staged Nik’s fall? What if Nik was not the real Nik, at all? Helena/the Cassadines had the real Nik all this time and an imposter took his place? A creation of Helena’s.
It’s the only route to take in order to redeem him.

      • Timmm

        June 14, 2016 at 3:58 am

You are so smart! Yes, michael as a Cassadine, a male version of Helena or an evil scientist who switched Nicks and created impostor Jason! That way sleepy Miller can go and Steve Burton can return! Big story possibilities!

      • Celia

        June 14, 2016 at 10:01 am

        @Timmm.
Thank you, Timmmy. Those of us who know Michael, the actor…..well, we are well aware that he can play any complex role given him.
He, as a Cassadine, would bring the house down with his suave, easy-going ‘stride’.
Now, Nikolas! What an enigma!! I can bet we all guessed that the peson (all covered up) sitting next to Ava on the plane was Nik. That scene was heralded by another scene…..’the sleepwalking duo’, Sam and Jason, who were hard at work finding clues on the Laptop about Nik. Too much of a coincidence.
As asinine as this story may be, wouldn’t it be such a gift if Michael would assume a Cassadine role?

  14. Iakovos

    June 10, 2016 at 9:01 am

It is a shame this did not work. Mr. Knight is a delight. But the storyline seemed out of synch with the endless Newman-centric shenanigans. I found it difficult to invest.

Wonder what all we might expect to Y&R in the post-JFP era?

  15. Mo

    June 10, 2016 at 9:06 am

That’s too bad. I liked him, although storyline did seem disjointed at times.

  16. ALEXA

    June 10, 2016 at 9:34 am

I think that MEK was one of the better new hires for Y&R… He was terrific in the role and his chemistry with Ashley was off the charts. His interactions with the other actors seemed exceptional along with his sense of humour and delivery… I would much rather have heard that STEVE Burton and Hunter King were leaving the show…. Maybe the new EP can make an executive decision and keep Simon Neville, at least for awhile longer!

    • Martin Verlander

      June 10, 2016 at 7:30 pm

Hunter King is now recurring since she’ll be on Life In Pieces…

      • Nikki

        June 11, 2016 at 2:44 pm

She’ll be back, she thinks everyone loves her. That crazy Chloe is coming back Dr. Neville could have cured her If they want to get rid of waste they can get rid of Hunter King for good and send Luka with her.

  17. Suzanne

    June 10, 2016 at 9:48 am

I love him! Don’t want him to go. But if he does I hope GH snaps him up!

  18. Mary Lou DeVriendt

    June 10, 2016 at 9:54 am

I started watching Y&R to see him. It was so wonderful to see him again! I thought his chemistry with Eileen Davidson was off the charts! Other than Michael, I didn’t find that much to interest me, so I won’t continue watching. I’ll stick with GH & Days.

  19. Terry L Kershaw

    June 10, 2016 at 9:59 am

I think they should keep him and let him and Ashley become a couple. Everybody rushes to judgements with ratings or study groups. If that attitude went into everything we do there wouldn’t have been Law & Order or CSI or even cures for deadly diaseases.

  20. Carole

    June 10, 2016 at 10:05 am

He had a rapport with Eileen!

  21. davlestev1

    June 10, 2016 at 10:15 am

Sad to hear that lame excuse.. Oh he was already out.. HMMMM… then that should have been reported… And now the scrambling and rumors begin.. Just a hot mess

  22. Mr. X

    June 10, 2016 at 10:18 am

I enjoyed watching Mr. Knight but not so much his storyline. He would have been better off as a recast for a legacy character. Maybe he would have stuck around longer.

  23. Tomas Torquemada

    June 10, 2016 at 10:24 am

So sad. Did he even have a story line?

I know everyone her loves to chant ‘No need characters’. IMHO it should be No Characters without Stories!

He and Eileen could have worked. But she doesn’t have a story either. Half the cast on this show have no story. That’s the problem.

He’s as talented as they come. But you can’t animate what isn’t there. Stupid. For what it’s worth, I would have hoped he had been retained and finally given something to do. He was a plot point for a character on hiatus who needed to be returned. Well, Hillary came back and he hasn’t had anything to do since that

  24. Harry

    June 10, 2016 at 10:30 am

He is immensely talented and charming. They never gave him a decent story. I guess this is the last decision that that grim reaper of soaps (JFP) inflicted upon Y&R.. This is terrible unfair.

    • Timmm

      June 13, 2016 at 6:27 am

Yes Harry, no story and no chemistry with Ashley. (no pun)

how come she has nt visited vic, her once great love, father of her child once since he s been in jail?! she used to see the good in vic, moralised him, caused rifts between jack and nikki too

So sorry to see Michael leaving they should of wrote a different role for him , Eileen and Michael have good chemistry it is a shame they didn’t put them together and write a good story line for them.

  32. su0000

    June 10, 2016 at 1:10 pm

    The thing with Y&R—
If, a character is not connected to the Abbots or Newman’s, they are disposable; short lived.
It has always been that way always will be; if not of the Newmans and Abbotts then the actor had best have 2 jobs.

    • Harry

      June 10, 2016 at 5:39 pm

Me too–they should have made him a long lost Chancelor or something. The Winters family gobbled him up.

    • jaybird369

      June 11, 2016 at 8:37 am

Celia…I know. So totally true. Oh…as far as I’m concerned, those bone-heads at Y&R should have kept Michael E. Knight aka ‘Simon’ and FINALLY got rid of BOTH that dim-witted Devon and that FAKE-ASS WHACK-JOB H-O Hilary!!!!! Y-e-p.

      Later, my friend.

      • Celia

        June 11, 2016 at 6:23 pm

Too bad the gods at Y&R used and abused this unique actor. Michael is so misplaced as Neville. I saw a possible fire between him and Ashley; but, no one cared enough to fan the flames. Thus, where else could he go except the corner?
        Soon, Jay.

  34. Ashleigh

    June 10, 2016 at 1:37 pm

Noooooooooooo!!!!!! Simon and Ashley was the only story I liked!!!!!! Ugh!!!!!

  35. Ashleigh

    June 10, 2016 at 1:39 pm

I don’t know if I even want to watch anymore. Now I don’t have my mom any more to watch it with and thr storylines are awful. How depressing.

  36. Dawn D

    June 10, 2016 at 1:43 pm

I’m going to see what direction they are going in. I liked the doc. I’m just concerned how they are going to change the s/l’s. Sometimes the changes are worse than before as I have experienced on other soaps. So I’ll keep an open mind.

  37. Sean

    June 10, 2016 at 2:13 pm

I bet Frank and the people at GH will bring him in as another new character

  38. JOAN ACEVES

    June 10, 2016 at 2:20 pm

I love michael and I think they didn’t use him right. I remain hopeful another soap offers him something right. Bah to bnb

  39. Tani Sterling

    June 10, 2016 at 2:24 pm

Yes, he may have seemed “out of place,” but I found it delightful. Neville was as close to a dramedy as it gets. I always looked forward to seeing him although it wasn’t exactly clear where and how he would develop. It could have gone several different directions. Wish he could stick around.

  40. Cindy

    June 10, 2016 at 2:29 pm

Hope he comes to GH then, I miss Tad and he could be someone new on GH perhaps a Cassidine!!

    • Harry

      June 10, 2016 at 5:40 pm

I’d rather see him as some lost Quartermaine. Or better yet, make him the new butler since Alice doesn’t seem to be around anymore.

  41. Melissa

    June 10, 2016 at 2:31 pm

Really like the actor and would love to see him land elsewhere in daytime. Maybe the new doc at DOOL? That would make me start watching!

  42. diane

    June 10, 2016 at 3:01 pm

They really never did anything with his character.

    • Rose

      June 12, 2016 at 4:10 pm

Join Y&R at your own peril…Michael (Tad) and (Cady) Dixie both done wrong. And Patrick (Billy) not looking so good. Some think the same of Steve (Dylan) as well. But then roles at GH haven’t done justice to Roger (Franco), Michelle(Nina) or Michael (Finn) either. Tough to switch from one show/ identity and assume a new one on another soap, no matter how popular. Still I wouldn’t mind seeing MK at GH…I think Harry suggested as a Q.

  43. Leslye A.

    June 10, 2016 at 3:14 pm

Stupid decision…..I thought he had good chemistry with Eileen Davidson-lots of potential for story. There are other people on Y&R that I would have liked to see go.Hillary, Devon, Luca for example. Please let another soap hire Michael.

  44. Carla Rodriguez

tey just never developed the character..they brought him in on a rediculous storyline,..that just never took off…they just kept him in a lab coat in stead of developing a love story with ashley…as i did kind of liked the 2 together..now lets get rid of hillary,,devon,,,computer geek,,,brethany i mean cm,on writers please,,wtf…recast jill,,,and give the role to someone who wants to be there,,,some how continue the lagacy of the character of catherine chancellor through a relative maybe a sister,,,Kim Zimmer anyone….put the chancellor estate baxk to its old glory,,,oh yes and send new billy with new phylis to port charles,,dump this whole victor in prison crap,.i mean seriously the actors in his late 70s and were to believe prison drs are doing him on the infermatory floor…sorry but erics days as a leading man are done,,get back to the hystory of the show bring back matured fan fave actors like jamie lyn bauer and janice lynde,,bring them back with a few kids of there own and start your younger set there,,,maybe even woo john mcok from b and b back,,,bottom line start over,,,

If true, it is heartbreaking, though not unexpected given the miserable treatment of Darnell Williams, Debby Morgan and Cady McClain.
It is clear that whoever is in charge of this show has no clue what talent looks like nor how to write for it.

The sad thing is that MEK was all excited about getting this gig and was just glowing about how good his cast mates were.
I cannot but help but think he was too isolated from the core families/characters.
GH made the same mistake with such characters as Nina, Franco and the second character Michael Easman played (forgive me, he’s played so many characters on GH, I cannot recall his name).
I also cannot help but think that if Jeaane Cooper were around this would not have happened. It’s easy to visualize Mrs C taking Simon under her wing

Tried this show just for him last fall. (I am a longtime ABC soap fan and I missed his face!) I’m sorry to see him go but I will certainly follow. This is the most boring soap I have ever seen. It was difficult to watch, even with all those familiar faces.

The story sucks. The character isn’t interesting . Pratt diminishes every character that plays in Hilarys story and makes them look foolish.Dylan in particular. All the men are made to look like fools. the whole show is off track. really bad. no way Adam or Michael can get Ian into a medium security prison. no way. The dr/Victor story was unrealistic and unappealing .Obvious Pratt doesn’t like Nikki – he won’t write for her. and whats wrong with Victoria having a dalliance with a bartender? such a big deal about nothing just so Luca can manipulate her…so she is dumbed down…dressing lil for the beach when she goes to the ofce and defending a blackmailer when all she did was have an affair. She’s single. It’s not a crime. whole shoe is bad bad bad. common CBS. focus!!!! stop ruining the characters. Bill Bell would be appalled .

Personally I think he, (like some other iconic child soap actors known for just one role), is a horrible actor.
He should never have arrived in Genoa City except for the ridiculous belief the actor can increase ratings. That’s possible if he was Tad Martin, and even I would overlook his lack of skills. I say go back east, enroll in acting school, get rid of the hairdo from the 80s, and register for acting lessons! I’ve said it before but instead of this continual addition of characters unrelated to anyone on the landscape, introduce characters that have a legacy connection. There is no reason as alternative to these annoying characters we don’t know, the new team begin to introduce related charters to core. I’m still mad about the elimination of Brooks Foster (except Jill) . I’ve hardly watched as this show continues on the ridiculous storylines and it won’t take long for ratings to drop considerably – we all know what follows- ask the good doctor from Pine Valley

At first, I didn’t like Knight on the show. I thought the character was written as a cartoon villian with swirled moustache and all. I didn’t understand any doctor’s motivation to treat a accident victim in a cold and damp Wisconsin boat house complete with LAKE WATER within it.

But then something happened. Neville was added into Ashley’s orbit and slowly I saw something I liked – Ashley with a smart man who was scientific about his approach to her. Even more slowly and oddly for a daytime show these days, the relationship between work colleagues was being played out casually and over time AND not overnight with a wedding by the following week.

Even his interactions with Stitch’s son made me believe that Neville and Knight would be on for the long term and not short. The character brings something to the show that is needed. A strong man with awkward tendencies but a man with conviction who would stand up for anyone and fight for them.

WIth all the interactions in the hospital, I was eventually hoping he would end up there and we would see him more and more.

Sadly, now we won’t. What does this mean for Ashley? The show better not be trimming the cast with an Abbott as there is one Newman I could see leaving the show for a while to give us a rest. Bye Nick. Too much has happened to this character and I think after finding out Sully is his, that Nick should do the following:

See Victoria and give her a pep talk. Tell her she is every bit her father’s daughter but ONE better – she has compassion and heart. Be the business woman he knows she can be, be the BEST mom that she is already being, and find a love to hold her heart.

Go see Dylan and say “sorry man, this is my kid”

See Abby and tell her to never underestimate herself and to always stay true to her “naked heiress” heart because while she is a Newman and an Abbott she is truly different and more full of life than both families combined.

See Jack and tell him that he’s proud to call him a friend, and once again, he was one great step dad.

Go SLAP SUMMER’S face and tell that child to grow up and start looking at the world through clear lenses and not through that ALICE IN WONDERLAND looking glass.

See Red and tell Phyllis to remain feisty and strong.

See Mariah and tell her that while she is not Cassie, she is every bit as wonderful, beautiful and amazing as the child he had the opportunity to raise for a short period of time. Tell her to remain fiery and strong and take the world over.

Then see Nikki, hug her. Tell her she’s the best mom and to never EVER forget that he is always there for her no matter what.

Then go see Victor in prison. Introduce Victor to his grandson. Have him say there was a time that he thought Victor was the greatest man alive. That he was proud to be his son. But then reintroduce Victor to his grandson and tell him that HE STOLE the time from his life with his son as much as Sharon and even Sage. Tell him that the things he has done to him, his sisters, his brother and his mother, along with the abbotts is disgusting. Have him say, “Dad, you are no longer dad to me. You are just another man on this earth. You are Christian Miller hiding behind the name Victor Newman”.

And for Adam, have a note delivered to him that says “Sully is mine. The tests were readministered several times by 2 different labs. Sage believed Sully was Adam’s because Victor wanted it that way. I am sorry but the loss and the gain was mine all along. Be the man your mother, Hope, wanted you to be, Adam, not the man our father made you into”

Have Nick board a plane with his son and slowly have everyone realize that those words were Nick’s good bye. Nick and a Newman need to rest for a little bit on this show.

What a loss that would be. They could have done so,e great writing for him and Ashley, they were perfect for each other. Getting really tired of all the changes and not for the better.
Hilary could take a hike they really have turned her into a nasty character.
Give Kane some more air time.
Don’t even get me started on Victpr and his doctor. These writers need to up their game.

It was clear that the character wouldn’t have much longevity when he was saddled with that weirdo sci-fi medical plot where he could cure brain tumors AND bring people out of comas. If he had to be a doctor I think the actor would have been better suited to play a psychologist/therapist of some sort (perhaps to help Ashley deal with her lusty feelings for her son-in-law).

The type of eccentric character Pratt seemed to be going for rarely succeeds in daytime — the only example of such a character I can think of that really clicked with viewers was John de Lancie’s Eugene Bradford on DAYS OF OUR LIVES back in the 80’s (and I think the reason that character worked so well is because his eccentricities were played to enhance his romances with Trista Evans and Calliope Jones).

      June 12, 2016 at 10:48 am

Don’t know enough about daytime television to question your assessment which is quite respected. However, weak as the storyline was, Dr. Neville somehow captured me. Perhaps daytime needs to become a bit more sophisticated and not rely upon the old and tired routines. His character was moving, just not rapidly which is a part of what was attractive.

Only watched Y & R because of Michael being on the show and for what I was hoping to be a great storyline to allow his wonderful acting skills to shine. While his acting skills did not disappoint the storyline was awful and painful to follow. CBS you had my viewership for 8 months but with Michael leaving I would rather scrub my bathrooms than watch your show. Bad decision making !!

Idiots!!! I have never seen a newcomer from another soap have such instant love. Soap opera fans are VERY protective of their shows and hate stars from other shows coming in. MEK beat that with a stick. We love him. Are TPTB brain dead? This character is totally different from Tad and just as charming–maybe even more charming. Unlike others here, I think Hillary is brilliant as the baddest of bad girls. Bethany is another story. Why she keeps getting jobs I don’t know. The main thing a soap star needs is charisma, but they also need to be able to act. MEK hits it out of the park. KEEP HIM!

    June 13, 2016 at 6:38 pm

One more wasted breath: keep Dr. Neville!

Quick note on Hillary. She is a very talented actor. In general all her storylines have not appealed to me to the point of just fast-forwarding. However, this one might have worked if she had begun her blackmailing with a crawl instead of a charge. Of course if this concept keeps growing everyone in town will be being blackmailed I wondered if writers were trying to be comedic. They were successful a couple of times with Dr. Neville.

I haven’t seen today. Hillary was on the way to the much visited hospital when I left the Young and the Restless.

All My Children Alum Kim Delaney Joins The Cast of CHICAGO FIRE!

Pine Valley’s Jenny Gardner, who is all grown up and had a successful career in primetime television and films, has landed a primo role on NBC’s hit drama, Chicago Fire!

Casting news has revealed that Kim Delaney is joining the show in Season 6 where she will play the role of Jennifer Sheridan, the mother of Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney).

According to Deadline, Kim’s new role as Jennifer Sheridan is described as “warm, scripture-quoting and church-going. At one point she may have partied like it was 1979, but now it looks like she’s on the path of the straight and narrow. If you ask her, she’s moved on from the past, namely her messy divorce from her ex-husband Benny (Treat Williams), but old habits die very hard.”

Chicago Fire is currently on hiatus until after the Winter Olympics, when it begins again on March 1st.  As viewers know, in the last episode prior to the break, Kelly and Casey (Jesse Spenver) were seen jumping off a roof of a building while it was in flames in an exciting cliffhanger. (more…)

Justin Hartley and Chrishell Stause Have Tied The Knot!

In what has been reported as a very romantic ceremony on Saturday night, This Is Us and former Y&R star, Justin Hartley and former All My Children and Days of our Lives actress Chrishell Stause have made it official, and became husband and wife!

The beautiful and happy duo tied the knot in front of several of Justin’s This Is Us co-stars including: Mandy Moore, Chrissy Metz and Milo Ventimiglia. The wedding took place at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu.

As daytime fans know, Hartley and Stause became an item almost four years ago, and got engaged in August 2016. Hartley shares a 13-year-old daughter, Isabella, with ex-wife former Passions, AMC and DAYS actress, Lindsay Hartley.

Stause told PEOPLE: “They don’t make them any better than Justin, and I could not be more thrilled to officially be Mrs. Hartley!” Wearing a Monique Lhuillier dress, Stause exchanged handwritten vows with Hartley during the ceremony.  Justin wore a navy tuxedo and a bow tie.  EOnline reported that during her vows, Stause promised to always be there for Hartney “just like the Dodgers in the World Series,” which reportedly received some fun laughs from the attendees.
