Rome Flynn Departing The Bold and The Beautiful; Makes An Official Heartfelt Statement

Rome Flynn, who has played Zende on the CBS daytime drama, The Bold and the Beautiful is leaving the series.  It is his decision to exit his role.

In an official statement on his Instagram following a live Instagram chat earlier today, Flynn had this to share.

“First I want to thank Brad Bell for taking a chance on this ambitious young kid and giving me more responsibility than I knew I could take on.  I want to thank all of the B&B fans across the world for embracing me as your Zende Forrester. It has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life to share a piece of myself everyday with you.

I worked hard to make sure I never cheated you on work ethic or integrity of this character.  Such a profound responsibility to be one of the few African Americans on daytime television, one I took serious in making sure I made you feel like you knew me. My job is to imitate life in its honesty and truest form. I hope I’ve done you justice.

So many people to thank but I want to be specific in thanking my counterpart through my time here on B&B. @reignedwards  You’re such a joy to have worked with and an amazing talent! They don’t just give out nominations for best younger actress in a drama series 2X IN A ROW.

But beyond that, you’re very special to me. You helped me grow as an artist and a person. We took on portraying this young black couple in love. We worked hard on keeping it authentic and true. So many hours of work on our own. We had to be vulnerable with each other for this to last, I wanna thank you for letting me in. We laughed together, we cried together, we went to war together & that’s what love is. Thank you Reigny #zencole

This is not goodbye but I’ll see you soon!  Change is good. You must make change to make way for what God has for you.  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!  Love, Rome Flynn aka Zendaddy “

It appears B&B may be recasting the role of Zende.

I am deeply going to miss this young ma n. He brought to B&B the couple that we wanted to see. How .ca. anyone replace such big shoes.

Ita hard to be a soap fan without accepting a recast. Think how many storylines would hit a wall without new actors replacing other actors

Exactly. How many Jill Abbots? I loved the original Jack Abbott, the new guy’s kinda okay after three or so decades.

Really bummed out.

What does he think he will do? He hasnt been on long enough for much facial recoginition. He needs to stay longer and gain some.

Disappointed to hear this. He’s such a gorgeous actor wirh talent to boot! He should have no problem getting other work…

Not happy to see him go but I have no doubt he’ ll be back on screen, TV or film, very soon. Wonder if he still wants to do soaps…should come over to GH as a love interest for Valerie. That girl needs a story/ relationship! Well, now, so does Kiki!

First Palmer Watkins on GH ( you can sign the online petition to ABC to keep him)…now Rome Flynn….

It will be very difficult to replace Rome Flynn and sorry to see him leave…I wish nothing but the best for Rome and it’s wonderful that he trust GOD and his future is bright…

redaric williams to replace him!… he has the look for b n b!… if not bring him back to y n r where he and lily can finish where they left off. jordans not cutting it. would love lily and tyler round 2

He’s a sweet man. I’m going to miss him, because he was part of something very special on that show. The Avant family is the life of B&B, so that show just became dimmer. Much love, and future success to him.

whatever he does good luck to him. Just as long as he doesn’t make the mistake of going on that hot mess soap Victoria Rowell helped create. The Rich Also DooDoo or whatever it’s called.

I love actors that leave a show with grace and class. I wish him much luck.

Too big for britches. Saw his tweet after last Emmy nominations where he whined about being passed over for second year in a row. His second year on the show!. Think it was Carolyn Hinsey who responded…talk to Katherine Kelly Lang….

Okay, good luck. He was okay, but it’s not like someone else leaving the cast. I don’t really have a deep connection with him or his character.

Neither did I..

Good looking young man but th AA actors never last long with Brad good luck to him

Agreed….totally.

I can’t blame him for moving on. He has no story – he only gets pages when he’s in someone else’s story. (If he’d been given anything much more “I support whatever decision you make” he probably would have hung around.)

He’s young, he has credible experience and he’s ready for projects that will make better use of him. I can’t hate him for that. Its a business. Time for Bold adventures!

I wish him well.

I will truly miss Rome Flynn aka Zenda on The Bold and The Beautiful he just got married on the show will he be recasted to come back to the show.

B&B seems to keep characters for story arcs regardless of connections and histories. Gof or the twist regardless of whether it makes sense. Zende could have done more but that’s the way B&B is.

Rome Flynn out, Pierson Fodé too. Jacob Young in reccuring status… BB

Lisa Rinna Would Be Down to Reprise Her Role of Taylor McBride in ‘Melrose Place’ Reboot

When Lisa Rinna departed her popular role of Billie Reed on Days of our Lives back in 1995, her next major role would be a jump to primetime and the soapy Melrose Place.

In 1996, Lisa was introduced as new character Taylor McBride and stayed with the Fox young adult sudser for three seasons. Now in 2024, with the recent reveal that a Melrose Place revival is the works with Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton all on board to reprise their signature roles, would Rinna board the project should it come to fruition?

Speaking with PEOPLE, Rinna expressed, “Well, gosh, I’ve heard about it. I haven’t been approached or anything, but I would love to see what Taylor McBride is up to 25 years later. Wouldn’t that be something?”

Photo: FOX

OG Melrose Place fans know that in story, Taylor moved to the Melrose Place apartment building with her husband Kyle played by Rob Estes. However, Taylor had her eye on Dr. Peter Burns played by former GH star Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco). But, by the time she had moved to the apartment complex, Peter had married tough as nails ad executive, Amanda Woodward, played by Heather Locklear.

Recalling her time on Melrose Place, Rinna added that it, “was one of my greatest and most fun acting experiences, playing Taylor and working with Heather and the whole crew.”  Rinna also noted, “So if they need a Taylor McBride appearance, they know who to call. I’m around.”

The new Melrose Place is in development at CBS Studios. In the premise of the reboot, the Melrose Place residents reunite after the death of one of their friends, “but the pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”

So, would you want to see Lisa Rinna reprise her Melrose Place role as Taylor McBride? Comment below.

Sean Kanan’s Stepdaughter, Juliet Vega, to Appear on The Bold and the Beautiful

Coming up on this Friday’s April 26th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Juliet Vega, the stepdaughter to Sean Kanan will make an appearance on the CBS daytime drama series in the role of Michele.

Keeping it “All in the Family”, the character is named after Juliet’s real-life mother, and Kanan’s wife, writer and producer, Michele Kanan.

Back in 2012, Sean married Michele Vega and thus began their blended family which included his daughter, Simone, and Michelle’s children, Peter, Gigi, and her twins, Annie and Juliet.

According to a B&B show spokesperson, Juliet’s B&B character is intentionally named Michele in honor of her mother and Sean’s wife.

While we don’t know how “Michele” shows up in story, it is the same episode that Clint Howard makes an appearance as well seemingly tied to the case of where in the world is Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)?

We can’t imagine that Juliet wouldn’t get the opportunity to mix it up on-screen with her stepdad, Sean Kanan. Previously, the two acted together in Sean’s streaming series Studio City, where she played the role of Delilah and he played soap actor, Sam Stevens. In it, Delilah is the bio-daughter Sam never knew he had.

So, looking forward to seeing Juliet on B&B and how ‘Michele’ turns up in the story? Comment below.
