One Life to Live has just aired in all major time zones across the country, and for those who have seen the show, we would love for you to share your reaction with your fellow soapers here at On-Air On-Soaps!

While we will not spoil any plot points and give you the play by play of each scene  or key moments of the network television finale, right at this moment, we would love to hear in your posts, if you thought it lived up your expectations? Were you happy by the way some things were left open-ended and some were resolved? Did it make sense to you, what the show was attempting to since at the time of the taping of the finale, the series believed it was moving on to Prospect Park’s new platform?

However you are feeling, we want to know, because we know that it’s hard for many to comprehend that come Monday, we will not see most  of our beloved friends from Llanview again!

And don’t forget tonight, that you can let your thoughts be heard live  on the OLTL Finale Special – After the Show with Michael Fairman with special guests, Melissa Archer, John-Paul Lavoisier and Kristen Alderson.  The broadcast is only on BlazinRy Radio on The BlogTalkRadio Network starting at 7PM PST/10PM EST.  For more information on the show and to hear it live click here!

I loved it! I still can’t believe I can’t tune in Monday to find out why Allison has Victor (though in my mind, it’s because of Mitch and Walker Laurence!) I screamed and cried when Cole showed up for Starr, I’m glad they left an opening for Brody and Jessica and I cried when Matthew named the baby Drew. It was a beautiful ending that needs to continue, somehow, someway.

Dito on EVERYTHING you said!!! Monday is going to be HARD!!! I wish TSJ would also sign with GH but very doubtful after what ABC did to him 🙁

Exactly. I had to watch on line tonight BC of an obligation that lasted all afternoon. Stupid abc.com maks the screeen smalled to advertise another show that will start after the soap (Revenge Show) which is stupid, when did the site start doing that. After all I am on abc.com/daytime, and not an abc (REVENGE) night show. Anyway, when I saw Trevor St. John on this minimized screen, I had to stop and play it back 3 times just to make sure it was him BC of the smaller screen, BC he has gained weight and looks refreshed. I actually thought it was a lookalike to be honest, LOL. That was the BEST kept secret in DAYTIME. That’s why I played it back 3 times, to make sure it was him.

What happens to john & natlie & Liam??? If Michael Easton is joining GH where does it leave Melanie Archer(Natlie) Will they be joining Gh as well sometime soon????????? John has a family now../ Is simply going to foget them and go to Port Charles without them!!!!!!!!!! What about Natlie and Baby Liam .. Where does that leave them???????? Is John simply going to forget them>> I think they should join john to Port Charles and continue their lives together!!!!!!!!! This will piss me off if Natlie & baby Liam aren’t part of the package!!! Can anyone answer that one>>> HUMMMMMMM!!!

Like Days of Our Lives, General Hospital needs a remodel and relaunch. In the week of September 24, 2012, we see Starr, Blair, John, Todd, Johnny, Sonny, Jason, Micheal, Elizebeth, Sam, Jax, and Carly exit the cavanas and on the week of September 27, 2012, we see helena, dr, kelly lee, diane, det, ronnie, and monica demomated to full-time contract series regulars, as well as the return of robin scorpio(alive), Venus “V” Ardanowski, and Sky Quatermine return as full-time contract series regulars. GH’s ratings would go up and it woud be a good show again.

I absolutely loved it too, especially seeing Trevor St. John at the end. I don’t know what I’m gonna do after watching this show for over 40 years. I’m dreading Monday :0( But I am really glad that a few of the actors are going to GH so I think it makes it a little easier. Shame on ABC for cancelling two of the best soap operas on TV! I got to talk to Melissa Archer tonight, she is such a sweetheart. I’ll never forget it or her and the rest of the cast. God Bless them all.

So true! It was a fantastic finale!! , but some how this story and show must continue, it deserves to keep on going and going. Thank God for my archives and youtube! I can’t live without my OLTL!

Monday was a horrible day! Don’t know what I’ll do without OLTL at 2pm! So glad Victor’s alive but scarface Todd should still go to jail for what he did to Tomas! Now we’ll never know! Maybe they’ll wrap it up on GH before it gets cancelled too!

I loved what the writers did. With all the sadness and dread in my heart, it was filled up somewhat with the reuniting of families. It is now day two with no OLTL and since I have blocked ABC from my TV I have watched some Food channel, Fox and TNT. I TiVo my GH and watch it at night so I can fast forward through the obnoxious commercials for Revolution and the Chew. I think those ads add insult to injury. If we were watching during the soap and are upset by it’s cancelation, why in the world would I watch it? The programmers at ABC have been smoke’in something. A full scale ABC ban is in effect at our house. Gosh, I miss my OLTL family so much.

This has been such a HARD week without OLTL!!!! NO MORE ABC!!!!!! BANNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good show. Todd Manning escaped another one. Love it.

Bravo! This was a satisfying finale that kept the twists and turns coming (the kind of finale we wish AMC had). Superb job by the writers and on-air talent. THANK YOU OLTL!

MUCH better finale than AMC—-of course I read that they filmed several endings for OLTL—-unlike AMC. I agree that a superb job was given by ALL!!! THANK YOU OLTL AND AGNES NIXON for MANY years of laughter, tears & taking me away from reality for an hour each day!!

I really enjoyed the finale. I think it was better than AMC’s ending. I know part of how it ended the way it did was because there was a possibility that Prospect Park would save it, but i enjoyed it as a stand alone finale. The way it ended with Todd and Blair was just so indicative of their whole relationship on the show. I loved it.

The masterful ending was an incredibly brilliant “A” finale to Carlivati’s writing prowess and Valentini’s direction. But I wonder whether it was really necessary to sacrifice Ford’s life on the altar of The Messenger, given Messica’s having lost Nash, too, so tragically. Her proverbial happy ending (of, finally, knowing her true paternity as Clint’s biological daughter and her relationship with her twin sister, Natalie) is thus mixed as her second love interest also dies so tragically a/k/a death by impaled chandelier, as moreover Brody subsequently betrayed her, through his protracted deceit in re Liam’s paternity; destroying their relationship in the process. More business for St. Anns in the sequel, I guess…It would have been nice to see JessicaWessicaTessicaMessica happy at last with Ford and child a part of me thinks…thus kicking it up to an A+ ending with a cameo one would have loved to have also seen from Rene’ Divine Buchanan, thrown in as a bonus to the history, too! After having spent so much time nicely convincing all of us, just how good a father, Ford had genuinely turned out to be! The perfect counterpoint to the rank abuse that he and his brothers and mother (and Nora) and so many others had suffered at the hands of Crazy Eddie! Just sayin…Chapeau to the great Carlivati! Chapeau to the great Valentini! Bring on the sequel…Thank you one and all…OLTL cast and crew and families, feel the love! Applause. Standing ovation….wave….OLTL4EVER…

Came home with a migrane headache tonight, and watched all five episodes on line with headache. I was home Mond and Tues, but was involved in house and wasn’t all focus, saw bit and pieces. I saw Wedn show, and was focused into it. Thursday show, I saw as well but missed 15 minutes. Friday, I had a business matter that was maindated couldn’t skip. So tonight, when I read how riveting the finale was, I decided to just start by watching Mond and Tues show, which I missed. And then I said, ” I’ll rewatch Wedn and Thurs, and by that time, Friday’s show will be posted. ” Guess what Barb? When I went to abc.com, they had already REMOVED the OLTL site (post this around to be can strick back at abc) . I went into a panack BC that would have meant that I missed 3 shows this week. I then post to someone where could I find how to watch them. Then I came back to THIS SITE, and clicked on ” Michael’s Links” and onto OLTL and it redirected me to the abc/OLTL website. But if U got to abc.com yourself and click on Daytime, OLTL is removed. You can only be redirected from it from this site as I know of. abc, and I place that in small caps, BC they are small over there for what they did) didn’t waste anytime removing OLTL from the abc direct access website, nor annoucing to watch the small caps, ” revolution”, as the View went off today. Horrible.
Add to that, Leaving Robin Strasser out of the final cast photo, and killing Victor, only to bring him back in the end BUT NOT let him (after an 8 year comittment-minus 4 months) be apart of the finale cast photo.
How Disrespectful. Yes, Trevor expressed an interest in leaving BUT when it was annouced that the show was canceling , he ALSO EXPRESSED an instress in staying. abc (yup small caps) for small brains, could have done a WHOLE LOT MORE storyline dictated with the lives of the 2 Todds, than what we saw of him (mere movements) as part of the Cliffhanger.
Hello CBS, NBC News. Well, I’ll support Kelly, bc I like her show (she’s funny) and mom, sweet lady.
So busy watching on line, I forgot above the radio show. I only started watching passing time for the radio show. Did you listen to it?

Someone, please tell me why Dorian, who also has given her lifes blood to the show, which I posted on Wednesday and Thursday, and Erika said something almost like that on The View as well. Why, wasn’t she given the honor of the final cast photo. Even if she came back JUST for the photo. I don’t think the fans would of mined, BC as Erika said, during her year’s of acting with Robin-she always brought her A game. There was no one else as BIG apart of that show BUT Vicky. Please tell me why she wasn’t included in the final cast photo. Right is Right. Can they photo shop her in? Can you suggest someone photo shop her in? For ALL of Trevor St. John’s efforts for 8 years without QUITTING, and the Fact that he came back to the show in the end, he too should be in that finale photo, and Photo Shop in. It’s a Historic Photo. It’s really and UnJust to Robin Strasser, and too, to Trevor St. John, but without a doubt Robin.

I LOVED it!!! I was satisfied BUT I am still so sad to see it go. And the cliffhanger at the end – totally unexpected and all that I could ask for!!!

I am sad and cried this whole week. There are many great actors on One Life to Live. I started watching in 1993 because of Bo and Nora and followed them through. I will admit I stopped watching when they broke them up, but started to watch again when they re-united. I don’t know what i’m going to do, Llanview came into my home 5 days a week for an hour and they all became a part of my family, they went through what we go through in real life. You knew when things were hard you were not alone, because you could feel what the actors were teaching you. I’m not sure I will be watching any other soaps, maybe General Hospital… It just won’t be the same and I will now have to find a way to de-stress at the end of the day!!! I got choked up today when Matt and Des named the baby Drew and when RSW choked up telling Nora, I love you Red AHHHHHHHHHH I can’t believe it is over 🙁

I cried and cried and cried some more at this brilliant, AMAZING ending to this incredible show. The Buchannan stuff (especially the scenes with Clint & Jessica, as well as Clint’s proposal), watching John/Tomas/Tea work to get Todd, ohmygoodness, the “Fab Four” scenes was the PERFECT ending for the four (though Starr will be moving to PC), but my absolute favorite part HAS to be seeing Victor at the end! I was devastated when TSJ announced he was not returning and though still peeved we don’t get to see a happy ending for him and Tea (which they greatly deserve), I thought it was the perfect cliffhanger and it totally shocked me! I screamed! LOL.

Also the fact that ‘One Life to Live’ trended WORLDWIDE and in the US (along with ‘TSJ’- woohoo!) says a lot <3

Good show, definitely not an ending though. And is it just me, or did anyone else notice that there were an awful lot of commercials…

they were long, and the ones during the view were long to ,I would like to know the the minutes on both shows.the ending was good ,better than good.brilliant .but at the same time sad, depressing, cried through out the whole show knowing its the last time we will see one life to live .for now anyway.

Oh my goodness. What a shocker.First of all how could Cole go with Starr and not be arrested. Also where has Victor Jr. been and didn’t we see the paramedics say he was dead at his house right in front of Tea???? Also , who had him all these months because Allison Perkins only got out of Statesville last week. Then why would John be going to PC without Natalie and Liam after they just got back together?? So many unanswered questions. And Brody at the door . How and why did he get out. Is there a future for him with Jess?I hope they bring more of the OLTL characters to GH.

Well actually Debbie, the questions you posed are questions that us viewers would ASK if we wanted to make a big deal out of the ending (as if we were had, so to speak). But since we know we follow soaps, (when you see a child one day and the next day he is a teenager, and the dead comes back to life) we say to ourselves (concerning your questions above) that “Oh, this is over the top, BUT I AM SURE as like before that the writer’s can come up with an even zannier idea to explain this (your questions above) and so U then think: Considering their imiginations and how they kept us on the edge of our seats, they DID a SUPEROULOUS JOB.
That’s the way I can explain that, because believe me I asked those same questions. Because they were practical. *Chow

Maxine upset in Spring Creek says:
January 14, 2012 at 9:51 am I am very upset.

I have been watching One Life to Live for many years. It breaks my heart that I will not be able to continue watching this great show. How could they stop the show, etc. (STROLL DOWN BELOW and continue to read. I thought you BOTH had some interesting inquiry.

Ive been watching soaps for so long, anything can happen ,I think whoever todd and victors mother worked with are responsible for the victor switch,Im just glad he is alive, and if gh takes trevor st john the story of 2 todds can continue.a truckload of stories for those two.I heard earlier that g.h. is down again this week I think its good that a few from One life to live will go to gh.the ratings have to soar or else abc kills another one.this morning I called abc at 2 numbers and gave them a piece of my mind ,telling them I watch gh thats it.on face book I heard a rumor ,A RUMOR ,A RUMOR ,that 2 more landview people will be heading to port charles.I hope its true. anyway, everyone DONT WATCH ABC <ONLY GENERAL HOSPITAL<WE HAVE TO SUPPORT THE SOAPS,CALL ABC 818 460 7477 /663 818 560 1000 /2 CALL TODAY. LET THEM KNOW YOU WANT THE SOAPS BACK<AND GET RID OF THERE TRASHY NEW SHOWS THAT WE ARE NOT GOING TO WATCH.I want one life to live back.

The cliffhanger ending left me stumped. I pray to god there will be some way to revive this incredible legacy. ABC has made a HUGE mistake and they will pay for it in the long run. I bet if they had sold it to CBS or NBC it will still be alive. There is always hope. Until then all we have left is GH and I am looking forward to seeing my sweethearts John and Todd there along with Blair and Starr. This isn’t an end of an era completely! Never gonna’ give up on OLTL cause’ we only have ONE LIFE TO LIVE! XO

Never again is difficult to wrap my heart around…

Brilliant!!! I cried, cheered and had my jaw hit the ground! Spectacular finale! This should not be the end….

I Loved The Finale!!!!!! Loved It!!!!!!!! I want My show Back on the air!!!!!!!!

There are 50 million Channels, ………Someone Please …Fix the Wrong that was done to This Incredible Program, by an ARROGANT Moron at ABC ,Brian Frons and Exec’s who allowed this to happen!!
This is sooooooooooo sickening to me.
I want My show back!!!!!!!!

I’m so with u, I feel the great loss, ive been watchin for 30 years, this past spring I lost my dad and Oprah rapped up to can’t take the loss!!!!
my heart is braking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Oprah was a BIG LOSS, which we knew by May when she left the air that AMC’ s time was up in Sept, and OLTL was finish 4 months later. We all knew there was going to be a BIG VOID on that network. I feel abc wasn’t thinking BC they should of known that as TOO MUCH CHANGE ON THE NETWORK, ALL AT ONE TIME, FOR THE VIEWER’S. Those soaps I’m sure were a consolation to you while getting over the loss of your father. I feel your pain. Take Care and try to have a Happy New Year.

Hi Carol,

Well, You had me, until you mentiond OPRAH! LOL!
Honestly, I watched Oprah for many years…but in the last few years, it was difficult for me to watch..I think She got too full of herself..(IMO)..and Began preaching to everyone, and stopped being the person we knew.. I thought her Finale was Terrible. I think She started to act like she was a Maya Angelou, something like that…And I don’t Find Her (Maya A) to be anything Special…I thought Oprah’s Finale was fitting as to Who she HAD become..However…
When She Gave that speech to The Soap Fans, about ‘IF SHE THOUGHT THERE WAS ANY MONEY TO BE MADE” etc..to bring the soaps to her network…THAT was IT for me. What A Pompous Dope.(again, just my opinion).
Her Network programming is HORRIBLE. And Hope it Tanks. Her and her MASTER CLASS garbage. if it weren’t for her fans supporting her all of these years, she would be NOTHING.
So…on that note…sorry for your personal Loss…And I understand The OLTL Loss…I feel it Too! Sad.

Really good twist at the end! They should pick up the Todd/Victor story over at GH, bring over TSJ, Florenzia (Tea), and of course Melissa Archer, (Nataile). I know there would be alot of happy fans !

Have watched the soap since the late 70’s.
It was such a great escape.
Will miss the show! Can’t believe it is over.
Loved the finale week and ending. What a nice tribute to the memory of the actors/actresses, stories and us fans!
Thank you for the tears of joy, sadness and the education!

Was delighted to have it shown that Victor, otherwise know around here as Frodd, was still alive. Hope I never see sanctimonious Tomas’ face again. Oh yeah, those weeks in captivity were awful weren’t they? Too bad, jerk, you were lucky considering what you did to Todd. The ending for Todd was fitting. Became famous as a evil rapist, goes out (here) falsely accused of murder – and believing he did it. Hope GH explains just how Vic came to be in Allison’s hands and clears Todd’s name with everyone. So glad that Viki got her happy ending with Clint. And Todd proved just how much he’s grown in putting his little girl, Starr’s happiness above his own.

It was a good finale, but definitely left you wanting more! Especially with the Victor-Todd cliffhanger. They did, give the “younger” characters more time instead of concentrating on the core of the show like the Buchanans, Lord’s, Cramers. Why did they not have “Renee” in any of the last days? Wish they could find a way incorporate the characters, especially the ones that were going to PP, into GH. Would love to see Viki and Clint against the Quartermaines and would love to see the Manning storyline finished out and Tea and Victor a happy ending. Hope they do have Natalie on with John, we waited a long time for them to be together!

I thought the shows were great all week…….I loved Vicki’s narration of the people of Llanview, and what it meant to her and to us soap fans……..pure genius……and the classiest of ladies to speak the words. Todays show, the finale, was poignant……and when Bo choked up while speaking to Nora, it had me in tears. The actors were genuinely sad to say goodbye, it was heart wrenching. I will miss this show…..and nothing can replace my 2 PM in the afternoon. So I’ll look forward to 3 PM, when I can continue on with the Mannings and John McBain, at least it’s something. So long to an iconic show that took me to places I otherwise would have not gone…..I will miss all of you. A big thanks to Agnes Nixon…..the creator….a special woman to me for personal reasons.

Jaw dropping ending,,,,,,, what’s next???????

APPARENTLY NOTHING on OLTL guess we go on living one day at a time????????????????!!!!!!!!!!

Today’s show was so good, I can’t believe it’s over.

Jaw dropping ending, loved it, love TSJ, the “real Todd”.,,,,, now what’s next?

it was great Im glad Victor is alive they could not have made Todd a killer Dont forget it was filmed with pp in mind. The writers thought it was continuing on line.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. Sad to see it go. Don’t understand why the geniuses in TV land couldn’t just pare down the episodes shown a week or maybe make them seasonal instead of just canning them outright.

I haven’t seen it yet as I tape it but from what I have heard it sound’s great. I thought all along Todd didn’t kill his brother. I thought his mother put that in his head. I remember when he gave his gun to the black man and told him he could give it to John McBain but no one else. The man was suppose to turn it in for cash. Why would Todd tell him to give the gun to McBain if he had just shot his brother with it. With Blair, Todd, McBain, Starr, and Tamass all going to GH how will this murder play out and how can McBain go to GH without Natalie and his kid. How will Blair go without her non working high school son. It don’t make sense she is bringing her daughter who left to pursue her future in singing but leave behind her high school age son. I am very anxious to watch the ending tonight.

Well the show was a outstanding friday cliffhanger as usual but I have yet to stop sobbing:( ABC made a huge mistake ending these shows cause we are fans that will not back down!!!! SWANs swim they never back down!

I don’t know what to make of Trevor St. John appearing in the last scene…now there is an open ended story. Prospect Park wounded us again just when we were starting to heal from ABC’s betrayal. All the networks need to realize that they need to start treating the viewers with more respect…I remember when they cancelled Pushing Daisies…that show won a People’s Choice award…why did they cancel that? Pushing Daisies was another example of a fantastic show being thrown to the wind. ABC has NO respect for its viewers. I am going to sorely miss OLTL and AMC,

Remember on Monday, don’t even turn you TV to ABC! I know some might get curious about how bad the new show will be, but the best way to really stick it to the network is not to watch at all. Let’s show ABC, just how big of a mistake they made by canceling OLTL!!!

I agree!!!! Will NOT watch the spew or the re(whatever). Guess I need to find something to do with my time now…..

I too have no intention of watching the revolution as I have not watched the chew I have cancelled ABC from 1pm to 3pm In fact I only watch GH I hope these shows bomb and I hope ABc realizes what a terrible mistake it made especially with OLTL.

I completely enjoyed the final episode. There have many great episodes leading up to the finale that honestly I would have been happy with any of them being the “last”. I was thrown by the surprise ending in a pleasant way. It was a cool trick…..and how did they keep the soap press off of that secret? The fact that I was surrounded by adoring fans with some of the former cast members in NYC made the loss a little easier to take. I did manage to bid on and win the OLTL Many Voices autographed poster at the event, so I will have the faces of the talented cast up in my home every day. If I would have done anything different……I would have had Starrs last day be Thursday. I was not a fan of her reunion with Cole. I was happy knowing she was going to stay with Langston. I didn’t really need to see it. What choked me up was the moments that mattered……like Jessica finding out Clint is really her father, Bo telling Nora “I love you Red”, Matthew naming the baby Drew. I am a huge Barbara Garrick fan, so having her in the final episode in a clever way made it very special. I am so thankful we had Ron Carlivati for a head writer for the last few years. This was one ending that really delivered.

Bittersweet is the first word that comes to mind. Our show is over and that’s a hard concept to grasp. I was holding it together pretty well until Bo said,” hey…I love you, Red.” That’s when I lost it, completely lost it.

Todd and Blair were the highlight for me. Todd bringing up Ireland, and Blair acknowledging that things had never been the same between them since said more than any flashback ever could. And finally, after eight years, Todd made love to his One True Babe. Thank you RC and company for giving us TnB fans what we’ve been waiting for since the real Todd Manning returned to Llanview. I’m anxious to see the Mannings on GH. Knowing TnB will live on just a little while longer made today a bit easier.

I’ve gone on record with a lot of my friends by saying that Victor wasn’t dead. And that Todd’s crazy bitch of a mother put those memories in his head. I was pretty sure it was SloBro in that bed, but I still cheered when Victor was revealed to be alive and in the clutches of Allison Perkins…(How did that happen?)

It was wonderful to see Brody again. I’m not sure what the writer’s intended, but in my mind, Brody and Jessica will soon reunite and live happily ever after.

I’m not sure if I was supposed to be rooting for Tomas today, but I wasn’t. I have a hard time dredging up any sympathy for a man who was instrumental in Todd’s captivity and torture for eight years. Suck it, Delgado. You lose. And by the way, you have a lot of inappropriate sexual chemistry with your sister. Maybe you’re adopted – check on that, Mr. CIA operative.

And finally, Clint’s proposal to Viki. It was an unexpected treat and I loved it.

Funniest shot of the day: Shaun’s face while Destiny was giving birth. Priceless.

Thank you, One LIfe to Live for 43 wonderful years. You went out with a bang!

“I’m not sure if I was supposed to be rooting for Tomas today, but I wasn’t. I felt the same way. I have always liked Ted King since he was on Loving/The City. Unfortunately he always plays these guys that just can’t be all that nice. It is hard to root for him because Todd and Blair have so much history and such amazing chemistry. It is also weird how Tea has gone to bat for Tomas so much considering, and forgive me if I am wrong because I may have missed it, I thought she said she really didn’t know him.

I’m a Ted King fan, but his Tomas on OLTL was not made of win for me. The chemistry between Kassie and Roger is too strong for anyone to ignore. Not to mention, the romance between Tomas and Blair was put on the back burner for months before it was picked up again just to cause angst between Todd and Blair.

OLTL was crazy when they made Tomas and Tea siblings. I could have rooted for them as a couple with Victor Jr. gone.

I agree with everything you said, Alley. Did you ever see Ted King when he was on Loving/The City? He had amazing chemistry with Laura Wright (nee Sisk), but her character hated him. I can’t remember exactly but she blamed him for Anthony Stewart’s character dying, I think. In any event. I think he has great chemistry with everyone. Some guys have all the luck. LOL!

Hi Jenna….No, I discovered Ted King when he played first played Luis Alcazar on GH. Loved him and hated that they killed off Luis. When they brought him back as Lorenzo I was very happy. I liked Lorenzo and Skye but TPTB botched it,as usual. OLTL didn’t do TK any favors, IMHO, but when they signed him I don’t think they knew RH was returning. Once that happened, any chance Tomas had with Blair was gone. I hope TK shows up on another soap, he’s a good actor and I still stand by my statement that he and Tea should hever have been siblings. A waste of some serious chemistry.

Loved it …thought it was a good ending, though I’m not sure why they had Brody show up at the end….
Loved that Jessica and Natalie are full twins.
Still don’t think Todd killed Victor ….and it appears he didn’t or is that Walker ???? Hmmmm….
Loved that Cole showed up in LA,but still wish it was Brandon Buddy,it would have more meaning.
But still feel so heart sick…..that OLTL is done. 🙁 🙁 🙁

My thinking is that Brody making amends with Jessica might lead to a reunion some day. Her son is now without a father and he has always wanted to be a father. I think it might have been part of the script when they thought they were taking it online. Too bad. I still hope they can resurrect this show somehow.

I floved it. I cried for almost the entire hour. It had a little bit of everything. I agree with the poster above, it works great as a stand alone finale or a cliffhanger to continue. I’ve watched 3 soap series finales in my time … this one was by far the best. So excited about the news about GH.

Absolutely loved it. Framed by the understanding that they were olanning to continue the story via the “deal” with PRospect Park, I could except all the open-ended stories and enjoy a wonderful finale. I didn’t read any spolers and thus, enjoyed the surprises and twists…especially seeing “Victor, Jr.” at the end! LOL! I kept wondering who “Allison” had in there. Was it a dead “Mitch”? Someone who was on before I started watching the show? I never suspected “Victor, Jr.”! I loved the way the Bossom family got a happy send-off. I’m happy the door was left open for “Brody” and “Jessica”. But I’m sad that “Ford” had to die at the end. I’m newer to the show, so I didn’t have the attachment to “Cole” that longer viewers did. Still, I’m happy for “Starr and Cole” fans. I loved the way we got to see almost everyone on the next to last day and then those little moments throughout the last show that tugged at our hearts. Loved “Matthew” and “Destiny” naming the baby after “Drew, “Bo” and “Nora’s” I-Love-You, while choking up, and “Clint’s proposal that we never saw “Vicki” answer. You know she just had to say yes. I will miss the folks from Lanview and thank everyone in front of and behind the cameras for bring us such joy over these many years! All the best to you! I’ll be looking for you again…

I hope they can continue with Todd,Victor,Blair and Tea on GH. It is a tragedy this show has ended. There is so much history.Use the Mannings and McBain to bring guest stars onto GH, keeping the story alive. For example, Todd’s sister Viki should visit, Blair’s Aunt Dorian. How about OLTL villans like Carlo Hesser. Blending GH and OLTL could definately make for some exciting action.

I suggest that we boycott the station I was hopefull some one would pick up One Life to Live. Hope all the replacement shows bomb.

I love flashback shows when a soap takes a look back at yesteryear, seeing clips of faces we haven’t seen in so long. On one hand I would have liked to see an episode or two devoted to such a look back, but that’s not what OLTL or any other good daytime drama is about. It’s not how Agnes Nixon wrote it all those years ago. So, in tribute to the industry she built, the final episode was classic soap opera. Good, happy things, an ongoing love story that Shakespeare couldn’t have improved upon, and the traditional Friday cliffhanger that leave us wishing the weekend away to see how it all turns out on Monday. Sadly, this is real life and our Monday in Llanview will not be. All in all, a terrific show and without a doubt Erika Slezak, Jerry Ver Dorn and Robert Woods … a beautiful acting (and with some real tears) a bit of a chapter of their lives ending as well. Once again, thank you to all for so many years of superb work.

What a shame that ABC would cancel such an amazing show! I’m going to miss OLTL. I will continue to watch and support GH. However, if ABC cancels that soap, I am done with ABC for good. They’re cancelling all of their best shows anyways, so It won’t be a huge loss for me. Just returning the love that they’ve shown us loyal fans. Shame on you, ABC/Disney!

First I want to say thank you, to you, Mr. Fairman. You have a wonderful site. I just heard about you from someone on Twitter and now I come here. The majority of people here are intelligent and add to the conversation rather than just complain.

I have to admit that this 30-something has been an on-and-off OLTL fan over the years. It was one soap I would turn to when my other soaps were not on because of football or something. With a baby and a toddler, I only have time for one soap, Y&R, But when I heard Roger Howarth was coming back, I was all in. I got to see Cord and Tina reunite as well as the returns of a lot of old favorites.

I think they did the show justice. I was glad to see that Victor is alive and well. Whether the show does end up online … someday or if this truly is the end, I think it gave closure or opened the possibilities for new stories. It would be nice to think that Jessica and Brody were able to get together. Poor Ryder is without a father and Brody has always wanted to be one.

I really really really hope that the old OLTL writers can generate some amazing story telling for GH so that it does not end up on the chopping block. I was thisclose to never watching anything on ABC ever again, but then there was the announcement that Howarth, et al, would be bringing their characters to GH. So now I guess I will watch this for as long as it plays out.

I have to admit that I seriously have my doubts. I remember the lengths Loving/The City went to to save their show; as well as Port Charles, Guiding Light, All My Children, and One Life to Live did to try and prolong cancellation. We got to enjoy those shows for a little longer. I really hope that Prospect Park (or someone else) can resurrect AMC and OLTL in some sort of medium. With Roger, Kassie, Michael, and Kristen going to GH as their OLTL characters, it makes me think that there is something trying to be done to keep OLTL alive behind the scenes. I can’t speak for any of the actor’s motives, but I can’t help but think there must be one heck of a plan going on if Roger Howarth decided to come to Burbank and continue playing the Todd character. It doesn’t sound like him from his past actions. Again, I can’t speak for him, but it is just suspicious. I wonder if the powers that be have asked them to come to GH while they try and get OLTL back in some capacity.

Jenna,
I so hope that what you wrote in the last paragraph is true. If having these actors/characters appear on GH is just for a transtional period while the powers that be get their act together would be wonderful. I continue to hold out hope that OLTL will return. I can’t believe that the Viki Lord, the best character ever to be written for daytime drama will not be seen again. Ms Slezak made her so real.
Mark

Thank you Michael for a GREAT show!!! Of course I cried during the entire show!!

ABC just so u know the CHEW really sucks, next to my soap OLTL i love watching cooking shows and the Chew can’t keep my attention for a segment let alone an hour. What mess are u planning for the 2pm slot guess i wont be tuning in to find out cant afford to be disgusted anymore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved it. The past two weeks were excellent. Just missed Dorian a little and maybe Nicki Smith. Haha. Will miss my Landview family so. Heavy heart and BIG tears. 30 years every day. Looking forward to Mannings in Port Charles. Missed Asa too.

Thanks Very Much For This, Michael! 😀

i absolutely loved the ending – much better than amc!
seeing trevor at the end was the icing on the cake – i have been watching this soap for 41 years & can’t believe it is gone……… 🙁

I am one of those people who absorbed soap characters and story lines through my mom’s viewing–she was an ABC loyalist–so, I caught glimpses of GH, and knew characters from AMC and One Life and Ryan’s Hope from the very beginning –my memories of being home sick from school are infused with characters from ABC (and Mike Douglas), my first TV crushes were Mary Ryan and a particularly beautiful Tara Martin recast.

But One life to Live’s plot twists were the point that I had a sense of daytime TV having my “stories: as well (Meredith’s death and the first nikki smith story line were the first threads that I would ask my mom “what happened” when I got home from school. I was still more inclined to play outside in the summers than sit down for a several hour block of TV: but, my mom’s viewing gave me a sense of extended family from the side view mirror. And keeping me up to date on our favorite characters–Vicki/Nikki, Karen, Jenny and Marco and Maxie (?)–christine ebersole’s character-) became a staple of Mom’s and my chatter–far more interesting than the weather, thankfully more eventful than updates on my cousins, through college, and through washing the dishes together across 500 miles after I married and started raising my own children.

So I am one of those viewers with 43 years of investment in the final weeks of One Life to Live and I can honestly say I could not be more pleased. Ron, Frank and the cast and crew have done a wonderful job of continuing to deliver current very soapy storylines (the two Todds twist, and the gigi/stacy back from the dead stories were delightfully over the top) and allowing us to say goodbye to fan favorites and themes. So many nods to the past –the coda of Tina and Cord, back to Paris, Texas, the nod to time travel, and of course the prison break and one last trip to heaven—but always more than mere nostalgia, always intertwined with the lives of Llanview’s current residents. As much as I loved the Karen era, drop ins from any of those characters would have been awkward at best. And as much as I have fast forwarded through the teen storylines for years, I appreciate the show’s honoring that viewing demographic and not just catering to us old timers.

They had a lot to balance. Would I have loved to have seen Dorian on the last week—yep—but the twist of her moving to the senate actually showed more respect for that character than having a few more months of her being den mother to the Kramer clan and she and David’s slapstick romance. And I wouldn’t have traded those for a moment of the additional time we got with Roxie and the wonderful catharsis of the Fraternity Row fantasy episode and her standing in for all of us as uber fan.

So thanks to all involved—for the heartfelt goodbyes within the show (rex and clint’s hug, bo’s I love you red, Vicki’s voiceover our own goodbyes to so much of the cast). In the end, Todd represented us all in his bittersweet, messy, phlegmatic way, “This Sucks!”

But what a rich pain and, like watching our own kids go off to college, or not wanting to end that last hug at a family reunion, what a way to go.

Nice post. Been watching the same amount of time. In my world, the show isn’t over, it is moving to GH as a last attempt to save GH! Or am I fooling myself?

Absolutely LOVED IT!!! Well done everyone… cast, crew and most of all the writers RC and others for a great ending… even after PP backed out! The best part of it was that TSJ/Victor is alive!!! If only we could have him back on the canvas on GH!!! That would be the best! Wish Dorian could have been there… but otherwise it was so well done!!! Everyone but ABC deserves credit! I am still hoping someone will step up and save the show!

Still disappointed OLTL had to end… when it so wasn’t it’s time! But again thank you and Bravo all!!!

Too bad Allison couldn’t take Frons and lock him away in some far off place and make him watch the Chew and Revolution 24 hours a day for eternity!!!

Although I sat and watched with tears in my eyes, I was satisfied with the endings. All of the episodes over the last few weeks were incredible television productions, each one worthy of winning emmy’s.
I too missed seeing Patricia Elliot as Rene. I thought she would of been in an episode since I noticed her in the final cast photo that Michael posted the other day.I was delighted when she took over the role of Rene from Phyliss Newman years ago. I saw Ms Elliot on Broadway in the 70’s in the musical “A Little Night Music”
I was glad to see Addie in Starr’s goodbye espisode. Although she hardly had any lines it was nice that she was not forgotten.
The looks on Robert Woods and Hillary Smith’s faces when Matthew said he wanted to name the baby Drew, were incredible. It was apparent that those two were not acting but really being their characters.
When they showed all of the photos on Viki’s mantel at Llanfair, I thought I noticed a photo of Viki’s sister, Meredith. Did anyone else notice that? I am not ready to watch the episode again to check, I need some more time.
Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that One Life To Live returns to us someday.

I am sitting here listening to Michael on the radio while reading eveyone’s comments here about the final episode… and I haven’t finished reading them all but Micahel is talking about Thursday’s episode feeling like the finale. I had a thought about Friday’s episode… It was like we were being read a bedtime story and it seems more like the finale to have been comforted by an end of the day story that ends up being a fairy tale… and I want to believe that fairy tales sometimes do come true!

I thought it was wonderful. Jessica being Clint’s bio-daughter was amazing. I think they did a great job wrapping up most of the storylines. I was a little disappointed that they left it open as to whether Todd actually shot Victor or not but was absolutely FLOORED with the sight of Victor at the end with Allison. I desperately wish this were like the movies and there could be a part 2.

I am very upset. I have been watching One Life to Live for many years. It breaks my heart that I will not be able to continue watching this great show. How could they stop the show at that particular point. There is so many unanswered questions like: Will john and Natalie get married and raise Liam? Will Jessica and Brody get back together? Will Todd be arrested and convicted of murder and kidnapping Tomas? Will Blair and Tomas finally get back together and live happily ever after? Will Taya have Victors’ baby with no complications? Will Starrs’ career soar or flop? Will they capture Troy, Allison and Lindsey? Was that Victor in the bed that Allison was reading the script to? Will Vicky and Clint get remarried?
I was so upset on the last day of the show. Please if you can’t leave it on the ABC TV. Put it online for those of us that enjoy the show.

I had to watch the show on line (not on abc.com) the OLTL site went down on Friday. Yup. U CAN access the site through links only….. NOT direct. Anyway, watching on line, abc during the finale seconds of the show, minimized the screne to promote the nexr show (which was a night time show) and so, I had to play it back on my labtop 3x BC I didn’t think it was Victor, because his face was more full, (gain weigh) and he looked refreshed. I thought it was a lookalike.

Maxine, this is what Debbie wrote, stroll above near top. I thought you and she had some interesting inquiry.

Debbie replied January 14th, 2012 at 8:08 am

Oh my goodness. What a shocker.First of all how could Cole go with Starr and not be arrested. Also where has Victor Jr. been and didn’t we see the paramedics say he was dead at his house right in front of Tea???? Also , who had him all these months because Allison Perkins only got out of Statesville last week. Then why would John be going to PC without Natalie and Liam after they just got back together?? So many unanswered questions. And Brody at the door . How and why did he get out. Is there a future for him with Jess?I hope they bring more of the OLTL characters to GH

Michael…be honest…is there a chance of a merge of the 2 shows happening??

It was a fantastic ending to an incredible show. I was hoping Victor Jr was actually alive.. And I also hope that Victor Jr reunite with Tea and Danni, move to Port Charles to sue Todd and Blair for custody of Sam!

Mark Consuelos Celebrates One-Year Anniversary as Co-Host of ‘Live’ Alongside Kelly Ripa

Today, April 17th marks a full-year since Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo, All My Children) took over the co-hosting duties of ‘Live” alongside his wife, and longtime co-host, Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley, All My Children).

Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest who are six seasons decided to be back on the west coast full-time. For Consuelos, now having the opportunity to work off of Ripa as co-hosts has been something of adjustment for him, but viewers have been eating it up.

Live with Kelly and Mark has remained the No. 1 entertainment talk show on television over the past year, growing 3% in average total viewers to 2.23M per episode.  It is also the most-watched daytime talk show in the last year in key demos of women 18-49 and women 25-54. All of this, since the real-life marrieds teamed-up.

Speaking with Deadline, Kelly Ripa shared why the two are gelling on-screen, “I do think that there is something very possibly relatable about our relationship. We have disagreements like a normal couple, and we’re not afraid to let them unfold on the air and in front of America, and I think people find a lot of themselves in that.”

Mark weighed in how he has progressed as a host, and what he could improve at, sharing, “I’d like to get better at my interviewing skills. I’d like to get better at reading a teleprompter…I think I’m getting better at throwing to commercial. The other day in the middle of the show as we go to commercial, my sign off was ‘See you guys around.’ I mean, the show wasn’t over. The most obvious thing to say would be, ‘We’ll be back right after this.’ But I just said, ‘See you around.’ So we went to commercial and one of the producers (goes) ‘What was that?’ I don’t know… So for the next few sign offs, as a joke, I’d say ‘See you around.’ We got a kick out of it.”

Meanwhile, Kelly has given huge props to Mark, “I find Mark utterly compelling, really interesting, super funny, and he’s bold in a way like nobody else. He says what’s on his mind. If he’s thinking it, he says it.  I’ve done this a long time and oftentimes people will adjust their natural personalities to pander to what they think the audience wants to hear, and Mark will tell people what he thinks, and he doesn’t care if it’s not a popular opinion. It gives him an edginess that I think is really missing in the landscape today. Everybody’s so afraid to say anything, and Mark is unafraid to say exactly what he’s thinking.”

In a statement, Debra O’Connell, President News Group and Networks, Disney Entertainment shared, We could not be more thrilled with how Mark has seamlessly joined the show family as permanent co-host. His undeniable charisma and his and Kelly’s natural chemistry are evident as they deliver the laughs and smiles to our viewers each morning. We are incredibly proud of how Live has continued to evolve and that the audience is responding so enthusiastically.”

So, do you think Mark Consuelos is the best co-host his wife Kelly Ripa has ever had on ‘Live’? How would you say he is doing as co-host after one full year on the job? Comment below.
