Sherri Shepherd To Return To THE VIEW!
The soap opera and the revolving door that has become ABC’s morning talker, The View, continues with women leaving or being let-go, or being hired back!
In the case of the one-time popular co-host, Sherri Shepherd, word is that she is on her way back to the series for the shows upcoming season 19! This time, Shepherd will be in the position of lead contributor to the gabfest and will appear in what is expected to be at least 50 episodes. Fans of the series have known that Shepherd left the series back in August of 2014 after contract talks stalled, but two months ago she returned as a guest co-host, which prompted the discussions of a ;arger return to the bigger picture of the new season.
According to Deadline.com, The announcement of Shepherd comes after The View has decided to go back to a five-host panel format featuring: Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symone, Michelle Collins; who will to be joined by Candace Cameron Bure and Paula Faris. Shepherd is expected to lead a group of a half dozen or so contributors that also would include Stacey London and Molly Sims.
So the question is, will having Shepherd back in this capacity be a lift for the show? Are you happy that she is back? What do you think of the new roundtable conglomeration of hosts? Is The View one of the biggest off-screen soap operas on daytime? Share your thoughts below.
I’m very displeased with ABC for letting Nicholle Wallace go. Glad she spoke out this morning how the TPTB fired her. Good for her. Nicholle is a gem, ABC were fools to let her go. She’s smart, articulate, wise, and brilliant. Nicholle will move on to a platform where she is appreciated for her political insights. She’s a true gem.
Jeremy, you’re so right about Nicholle Wallace. It’s a shame when a talk show lets go of their most intelligent participant. Evenn though I generally disagree with her politically, I found her to be quite enjoyable!
What the hell is The View doing to itself? They get rid of the rational and well informed Nicole Wallace and then hire Raven Simone, Michelle Collins and now Sherri Shepard? Raven thinks Africa is comprised of several continents while Michelle lives and breathes all things trivial and shallow.
Well as Raven pontificates upon how she thinks Africa is comprised of several states and Sherri asserts that she still thinks that the earth is flat, gravity has the final say. There is no gravity because the earth sucks and so does The View.
Cancel it already.
Never really cared for Sherri Shepherd on The View. And was glad when she left. She seem to take hold
Of the whole show and always talking the most. And she loved the eating segments on The View the
most since she was always the first one to eat. Always talking about Jeffrey this Jeffrey that constantly.
I stop watching :The View about six years ago because I lost interest in the show.
Well, Suzanne…if you ever paid attention, Jeffery is a miracle child. There was lack of oxygen to this brain at his very premature birth. He is mentally and physically challenged. Do you blame her for adoring this child? Very touchy subject, that. Have a care, I beg you.
Yes, THE VIEW has lost its touch…but, do not blame the personalities. It has had its run…let’s just leave it at that.
I think I will have to stop watching completely if SS is going to be featured on a regular basis.
SHERI FITS ON THE VIEW…..WOULDNT WATCH IF THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE ON TV… IF YOU NEED TO WATCH A TALK SHOW…. TRY “THE TALK”…
I will not be watching The View when Sherri Shepard returns. She is trash who hogs the microphone.
The show is outdated and tedious. Access Hollywood Live with Billy Bush And Kit Hoover
Is my 11oclock must see TV.
Any and all soaps would be my must see TV. I choose to ignore the talk shows so the soaps live on.
I despise Sherri Shepherd and all her drama. She is the most negative phony person. She thinks she is right about everything and is seldom funny. She should go ahead and return because I can’t wait for The View to sink faster than the Titanic. After Joy Behar left the show went to hell. Whoopi is a lousy leader and the rest of the panel are complete snoozefests. No one cares what their “view” is. Cancel this tragedy in live action.
I don’t care one way or the other if Sherri comes back or not…. I did feel badly when she left because she had so much ” stuff” going on
….I want to know why Nicole Wallace is leaving….I like her a lot… She’s got a great sense of humor, she’s intelligent, & she gets her point across in a good way.The show has been going downhill for the longest time…at one time it was one of my favorite shows….I miss Joy, I miss Meredith from way back when. Some days I don’t like it much & I’m not exactly sure why…..
I love Sherri and Whoopi is fabulous as the Moderator. The rest are OK. I do think that the show needs to be put to bed and ride off to the sunset. It’s best days are behind. They never should have gotten rid of Bill Geddie. He and Barbara Walters were simply the best.
If they were all naked wearing party hats I would not watch the View, not even for the giggle..
Sadly, this once-enjoyable roundtable has dissolved into nothing more than a trainwreck!! (Each incarnation is more cringe-worthy than the last!) As it currently stands: Whoopi functions as nothing more than a frumpy bully (always pissed-off) that takes-no-prisoners, tells VIEWers she doesn’t care to hear their feedback, and regularly force-feeds her opinion and challenges producers on-air when told to wrap-it-up! Nicole used to actually be a breath-of-fresh-air, but now functions as nothing more than an irritating prop-piece for Whoopi(…I find myself wondering each show how much more she’s going to fawn over everything Whoopi utters?!) Rosie was also sort of irritable toward the end; reciting facts off cue-cards and never being excited about anything besides boxing and her Broadway play. Raven is spirited, but still finding her way as the ‘youthful’ voice, but I like her spirit. Rounding-out the table is Michelle, who (while very funny) often looks like she gets ‘talked-to’ post-show due to gaffes and blunders while finding her way! This group is NOT Barbara’s show anymore!! As far as the future guest contributors, horrendous! Sherri was like nails-on-a-chalkboard,always screaming and perpetually horned-up; Stacy is an exercise in self-involved narcissism, constantly mugging and playing to the audience; Candice (while gorgeous to look at) comes across as very straight-laced and judgemental and Molly also struggles with fitting into the format. The upside? This hour is preferrable to any time spent across the dial on THE TALK (blech!) Just my opinion…
Just another reason to never, never, ever again watch this train wreck of a show.
Candace Cameron Bure AND Sherri Shepherd?
No thank you.
Just say yes to Sherri Shepherd. BTW, Sherri is recurring and will be doing around 50 episodes so she is not full time with the rest of the group.
Just say NO to Candace Cameron Bure. Too fanatical about religion and too set in her ways to be fair at the Hot topics table.
All the more reason Not to watch The View if Sherry is coming back. As if I needed another reason…NOT.
The View is a complete trainwreck. They let their best person Nichole Wallace go. I have given up on the show
I am very disappointed. I can not stand her. I think she is just ignorant. I rather have Joy back. The two worst host on the view were #1 Elizabeth and #2 Sherri. I will stop looking at the show if she returns. I watch everyday and if I am not at home I tape it. But if Sherri is returning I will pull the plug. Sorry. I love Whoopi and she is the only reason I still watch. But Sherri is too much for me. Fake ass
I love Sherri and she is recurring only, not full time as the rest of the group. She will be doing around 50 episodes for the next season.
That’s the biggest mistake they could make. Final nail in the coffin!
The ship has sunk!
You don’t miss your water until your well runs dry! The View made a mistake to drop Sherry. Glad they are coming to their senses. That says a lot about the powers that be at The View/ABC!
