Stacy Haiduk Returning to The Young and the Restless As Crazy Patty Williams!

Now this is getting interesting! The Young and the Restless is bringing back whack-out chick Patty Williams, the sister of Paul (Doug Davidson), to the canvas.

That means that Stacy Haiduk (Patty) is reprising her role and will begin taping new episodes next week, and will make her on-air return next month in September.   A spokesperson from the number one soap opera confirmed the news today to Soap Opera Digest.

Stacy was last seen on the series back in 2012 when Patty was inside a sanitarium and all the drama that went along with that!  This reunites Haiduk with Y&R’s head writer and executive producer, Chuck Pratt Jr., who was the showrunner on the ABC drama Twisted in which Haiduk appeared.

So, looking forward to the return of Crazy Patty as played by the sensational Haiduk? What do you think will bring her back into the Genoa City mix? Comment below!

Welcome back Patty, but I have a feeling that she might be the cabin killer.

Yep thinking the same thing.

My prayers have been answered. I can’t wait for her to show up.

really looking forward to this. looks like Dylan will meet aunt Patty

I can not be sure, but–
seems the soaps, Y&R and especially DOOL are doing a Ron..
Bringing back vets ..
??

And su0000 maybe my memory is bad but wasn’t this during a double ala’ sheila and so on storyline time?..Can our soaps get over that man in the powdered mask(cuz they melt like flour) obsession..get over this crazy doctor doing doubles of people or let us meet one..we met that whacked out doctor who aged carly/lily/emily…that whole double jack story just ended..please nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I have a hunch Crazy Patty will end up in some kind of altercation with Marco. She’s obsessed with Jack and Marco is his double. Perhaps she will be the one to finally kill Marco.
That said, I am so tired of Y&R’s own obsession with crazy women.
Crazy Sheila, Crazy Parry and Crazy Kelly. And if that is not enough, they like to make their stable and sane characters go off the deep end like Sharon and Avery.
Why not make a man go insane once in awhile? When men misbehave on Y&R it is always cool, calculated with a dash of sociopathic tendencies.

Harry read down to another comment i made..make devon a gay double that his mama gave away and never said..skip the i passed out and didn’t know..i just gave ya’ll both away and after so long of finding your brother and being a part of his life..and seeing all you had here..i made sure you two never met..he more like me than you could imagine..yeah cuz he will assume devon’s life..live the life and hit on the genoa city men and end up getting caught in bed with a man by hillary who by the time the truth comes out has gone back to idiot neil who takes her..and real devon comes back…DO A GOOD DOPPLEGANGER STORY PLEASE…PLEASE..PLEASE…OR DON’T DO THEM AT ALL…

And here we go again with another DISASTER week mired in high octane silliness and no story/drama progression worth anything at all..except for the two week long trailers to hype up viewers and back to more foolishness…OMG..HIRE FRESH WRITING TALENT…LOOSEN UP A BIT MORE MONEY..OR CANCEL THE DANG SHOWS…SHOOT!!!!

SOMEBODY KNOW where that dang clinic and doctor is who keep duplicating people..I WANNA MEET HIM!!!!

ITA Davlestev1, the doppleganger routine has long ago outlived it’s welcome. It’s ridiculous at best when the doppleganger has the exact same eye colors and the exact same voice. No plastic surgeon in the world can duplicate a voice.
I am almost sick to my stomach that patty is coming back, I don’t know why, she’s filming in sept and “supposedly” the killer is revealed next week, so it can’t be her. I don’t like the character or the actress, hopefully she’ll get killed off this time and stay dead.

You’re SO right! I believe in the history of soaps, Ron WAS the first writer to ever bring back a beloved veteran performer!!

su,

It’s not a “Ron,” but all these shows (yeah, right only 4 remain, Ha! Ha!) all have had milestone anniversaries or are approaching them. Y&R has been bringing back veterans all the time (Malcolm not too long ago, Nina, Phillip, etc.). It’s nothing new but old hat really.

A.N.L.M.O (A New Life Make Over) Medical and Visionary Science Research Clinic..GET ME THAT MAD SCIENTIST PLEASE LOL..and who backed him from Katherine to Jack..and who decided who would be cloned..I’d beat his butt into the ground for all those maniacs he unleashed on one city..and then whoever it was need to meet his doppleganger after the devon story..and be run and terrified from pillar to post till the whole truth come out..classic blanket story…

For the love of all things holy, WHY? Like Jack needs one more crazy doppleganger in his life?

IKR..another double..like I said above..i want to meet this doctor..and have a murder mystery behind it..Lauren that sheila mess..jack that yakk mess..patty..that patty mess..phyllis..that sheila mess…you would have the whole town suspect except the winters…lol..and where’s lily or neils double..devon don’t know if his mama had twins..come on PRATT..slap us in the face with a drawn out devon double..it would shock viewers since we know that yakk story ended and wouldn’t expect it so quick..oh wait..you bringing patty back..my bad..forget it…lol

could you imagine all that secret who is it..and devon losing money..his playboy gay twin living the life in the euro scene and so no real pics of the person get to GC..and then we know who it is and the lifestyle before he hits GC and once he does he abducts devon and Hillary is shocked to walk in on devon and a man in bed like neil walked in on them..OH WHAT STORY till the truth comes out..NOW THAT’S A DOPPLEGANGER TALE..

He won’t have sex with Hilary and makes up a crazy reason..he hits on Michael..and kevin..he makes victor wanna knock his block off cuz the dude loves powerful men with money and just hits on victor just because..lol..sit down and think it out and it would be good and good and funny…

Dave, I like the way you think. Remember when Soap Opera Digest readers voted Devon the most boring billionaire on daytime?
DeYawn may be the most boring, most pointless character in daytime history. He’s so dull he makes Neil look like Dr. Evil.
Maybe Devon’s gay twin brother could be interesting.

Exactly, they will maybe kill off Marco just to have Patty come back!!!! I’m sure next year Kelly will come back too!!! It’s already hard to watch. She’s a good actress, but I would rather her come back as the doctor and give Phyllis a run for her money.

so glad you said that.I loved jack and the dr.

I wonder if it is not so much that Patty is coming back, or that someone is going to where Patty is locked up. Maybe someone goes off the deep end.

I hope you’re right!

My thoughts exactly.
And the show doesnt need another unhinged female character.

As much as I hated the Patty/Emily story, anything that features Paul Williams, I am down. I just hope they steer her clear of Jack Abbott, that ship has sailed and entertainment is not one psycho fighting another(Phyllis). It should be interesting, her meeting Dylan, her nephew tho!! Maybe she will return with a new Abbott offspring in tow?? A new daughter for Jack?? One can dream….

Love Y and R! Stacey is amazing and can’t wait to see Patty! This show is on a roll. Also love Justin Hartley as Adam. He is awesome.

SO FREAKING HAPPY/EXCITED!! This is the best move Y&R has made in a very long time. Haiduk’s screen presence as Patty was so riveting to watch. Her scenes (especially with Davidson and Stafford) were exciting and visceral! I’m exceedingly happy that the show has cast someone of her caliber! She’s AMAZING!!

I love Stacy Haiduk! Good news… even if it’s short term because she’s the cabin killer, will at least make something good come of that story!

This might be a reason to actually watch Y&R again. Let’s hope that Pratt gives her a decent storyline.

i think jack needs a break from all the crazy woman fighting over him likes he s a teenage stud! we just wrapped up kelly vs phlyis for his attention!
i would love if somehow michael who s now seperated from lauren does his pal paul a solid and watches over paul s lil sis and eventually cray patty goes batty over the lonely michael! lauren vs patty would be fun!!

I love the actress and the character!! It would be nice if they could have the character somewhat healed, so she could be a viable love interest for someone, and stick around long term. I love me some Crazy Patty, but showing a woman who has been damaged and mentally ill, and being able to find love and redemption and reclaim her life would be a powerful story! I dont trust Phelps and Pratt to be able to write a psychological story like that. They tend to like their women being crazy, raped, murdered, victims, etc. In the hands of a Claire Labine, or Douglas Marland, Patty could have a gimmick free and doppelganger free story!!

It will be fun to have a real crazy on screen 🙂
much better than Sharon her boring bipolar stuff..
I hope Patty will still be a nut case !!

I read that Sharon is going off her meds for the baby, so we’ll have two nutjobs running around and I’m not too sure about Neil’s sanity lately either. lol

Welcome Bac k. Im thinking she will get involved with fake Jack. With her being an accomplise in the cabin murders, Grace

This sucks! I hated this character from day one! If Paul had heart problems before he will have a stroke this time! No need to bring her back. Jack has his hands full. TERRIBLE choice!

Yes, I’ve been wanting her to return!

Well I’d be really excited except for the animal killing. Lock up Sagundo, Victor.

I thought they should have had Kelly be Patty all along. That was a giant miss in my mind. They were too similar to be two different whackos obsessed with Jack. Maybe she’s the one who killed Kelly? Poor Jack. He should really move away from GC asap.

Oooooooooo What if Patty found Marco?! Yikes! That’s onnnne scary combo! Victor would probably end up stuffed and mounted on a wall!!! If Patty is with Marco obsessing over him, that’s an exciting idea.

THAT is a good idea! Have Patty stalk and eventually kill Jack! [Marco!]

Like this news…………

Yeah, the Jack/Marco thing was too much, but nobody does a doppelganger story like Stacy Haiduk. That Patty/kitty/Emily story was some good TV!

Great news, I hope she’s back for a long time.

If Patty’s appearance helps to clear Adam, let her come! Yet, I’m waiting for Marcos to clear Adam.

I would rather have Tricia Cast (Nina) return. Please what is it with these DOPPLEGANGER dumb storylines.

I’m losing interest in this show since the jack/marco because they made it unclear when marco took over jacks life. i.e. the cave in at the club when Kelly had sex with who we thought was jack. Come on producers give us some never done before stuff!

You must of missed the episode when they explained the switch took place while Jack was on his honeymoon. Jack and Phyllis exchanged vows – she went to take a bath, and while in the tub or shower, two thugs came in knock out Jack and took him away and Marco came in.

It was also stated that it was Marco who sex with Kelly, he was doing a test run to see if he could pose as Jack, but it was the real Jack who was in the cave in. They didn’t let us know that, but we all know Jack wasn’t acting like Jack when he did it, so it was foreshadowing the story to come, which most of us figured out at that point that they was a Jack double in play.

And after twenty more years on the air- name one story line they could do that hasn’t been done before by them or some other soap? I don’t mind the “double” device, what I do mind is when they write it really lame– if they could creatively reinvent the plot device instead of doing the usual bad double- good double ploy– that would be something.

Nothing against the actress or the character; however, I would much rather have the writing staff go back to the 70s show’s characters: Lorie Brookes, Leslie Brookes… now those were great characters and great storylines. I miss the stuff that made the show famous.

All I can say is MAB must either be laughing her head off or is fuming mad– because they fired her just to end up hiring someone who is basically stealing all her old stuff — LOL– I love crazy Patty, but if she is going to go after anyone it should be Adam, for framing her for the murder of Richard Hightower.

Just bring the queen of darkness back Sheila carter/ Kimberlin Brown the best villainess on the planet and show these people how you do it! When you fire a gun you don’t talk somebody to death!
