Starting Monday Aug 5th OWN Scheduling Change: All My Children Stays at 1PM while One Life to Live Moves to 1:30!

Looks like Oprah’s “Summer Fling with the Soaps” is getting a bit of a scheduling makeover beginning this coming Monday, August 5th, and the change should make for a much less confusing, and easier time for soap fans to watch these two iconic series return to television and much more streamlined!

All My Children will remain at 1PM EST/12PMCST with their new episode of the day, while One Life to Live previously at 3PM, will now be showing their new episode of the day directly after AMC starting at 1:30PMEST/12:30CST!

So now you can get your soap block back as you originally had it during its ABC days! You can watch first All My Children, second One Life to Live, and then if you are a General Hospital fan too, you can head over to ABC for the 2PM new episode!

In addition, it appears OWN has removed the AMC and OLTL repeat airing of the episode from the day before immediately before the new episode of the day, and the immediate re-airing of the new episode of the day.

What do you think of the scheduling shift?  Glad you can catch AMC and OLTL now immediately back to back? Weigh-in!

It looks like Prospect Park isn’t the only one that likes to mess with schedules. But it was confusing. Would make more sense to air the block and then repeat the block.

It does make better sense, meanwhile, I will continue to watch on huluplus. 🙂 any time I want to.

I don’t even understand what Michael wrote about Oprah’s change. Why is there so much freaking confusion…it’s not rocket science!!!

Makes more sense to keep them together, then it doesn’t interfere with GH. Too bad ABC didn’t just keep them on air like it used to be! Thanks to Oprah for airing them at least for the summer. Hopefully they will air Autumn/fall, winter and spring too!

It probably is better one right after the other, but I’ve been watching B&B at 1:30 ET, so that messes it up for me I don’t watch AMC at all.

What about Canada????

It doesn’t air on OWN in Canada at all. Our only option is ITunes.

HULU is where I watch it in Canada.

My daughters and I are so pleased to have “All my children” back on t.v. and can’t wait for the new season. I ordered own network when I heard it was bringing “All my children” back and I am really happy I did.

thanks for the changes 🙂

I have them scheduled on the dvr so it changed automatically. Glad to have them back on tv at any old time.

Yes!

This is a better idea. It would be great, also, if they could repeat the block at 7 PM to see how many fans would like to follow it then. Until first run episodes are aired, numbers will never hit their potential!

They should repeat them sometime. And what about friday? I guess OWN took that away too! I wonder if they’ll even finish playing all the episodes they promised?

,
It would be so very much better if the soaps ran during the evening..
Daytime viewing is near dead, so few are home during the day, it is no longer the 80’s..

PP should have gone for a primetime airing of the soaps on OWN !

I don’t care!! I will watch them anywhere any time!! I’m just sooo glad they are back!!!!! 🙂

Love that they are back on TV. Would love to see “Guiding Light” repeats not to mention other lost shows. Who can make that possible?

Oh larri, that would be awesome to have Guiding Light repeats wouldn’t it? I would definitely DVR and watch those! And record them to dvds!

I would love to see Guiding Light repeats and I know others who would too. I still miss the show. I will not watch the stupid game show they put in it’s place!

The shows shouldve always been airing back to back. I just wish OWN was better promoting the shows. Why not advertise them during The Haves and the Have Nots? I regularly see ads for that show during OLTL.

Not many people knew they were on! Why not promote the soaps during GH? That’s where the viewers are!

At least the change is sensible. AMC, OLTL and GH in a 2-hour block even if you have to change channels at 2pm! LOL.

Sounds like OWN plans to retain broadcasting the two soap reboots, a sensible move. Now let’s hope PP does not tarry long before inaugurating “season 2”.

Well, I guess the first thing I would say is that OWN must not have been happy with the ratings, as we are going from 4 hours to 1 hour per afternoon for soaps. Yes, he schedule was a bit confusing…I especially didn’t like the double airing of the new episodes. However, I did like the ability to miss a day and be able to catch the previous day’s episode. I also thought OLTL was performing well at 3pm where there are no other soaps airing on other channels. At 1pm, at least on the East Coast, AMC and OLTL are up against soaps on both CBS and NBC.

I agree. Liked the 3:00 time for OLTL much better. Both B&B and Days are on at 1:30.

The 2 soaps are re-runs..
It is not as if they were actually airing on TV, just 10 weeks of re-runs.. 🙂

The ratings had to be better than those old repeats OWN runs all the time! Not enough people knew they were on. Why not promote them during GH? I can’t think of a better place!

glad that own pick up all my childrenand will keep on watching . I am just glad that it is back on the air, just wish the rest of the cast could be on it.

Bad choice.. I will miss it now. I watch y&R at this time and DVR Days… so there is no way I can watch it. I wish they would leave it alone. STUPID.

I Love it and so grateful to Oprah!!

Oh, I like this change very much! It’ll sure be a time-saver in my day! Thanks!

Good thing I saw this! Changing the D V R!

OMG!!!!! I am so excited I will be watching for sure god bless you OWN

Now that is more like it. I was flipping the Tv like a cazy person

Michael, for God’s sakes, what’s up with this “season finale” business? Since when did any soap have a season finale? Will AMC be taking a break from broadcast? If so, when will it be back on the net? Also it sounds like TOLN/PP is dropping hulu? Maybe I am mis-reading their press release, but so far, NO ONE from PP/TOLN is responding AT ALL to my repeated inquiries/posts on FB. An email which says I can write to ask questions just comes back with an auto-response. HELP US OUT HERE! We fans do not want AMC to have any break, nor should it, if at all possible. It feels like PP/TOLN, while I appreciate all they have done, are just playing hide the ball with us by issuing vague press release bombs, then clamming up when anyone asks questions. This is disrespectful to us loyal fans! Help us out, please, with some clear answers to these very important questions! THANK YOU!

I was informed;
The second season is merely the crew, cast ect returning from their 5 weeks off and resuming filming of the 2nd season and during that time season 1 will still be running as usual until the 2nd season starts.. There will be no break.
AMC and OLTL will always be on HuLu that is now the TOLN sub network.
Both sops will remain on HuLu and for 10 weeks ”re-runs” of the first 40 episodes will be shown on OWN.
So, all is well from what I was told.

Love it!!! I will be there watching….first time I will be watching OWN…

We just gotta keep watching and supporting that’s all.

It only started a few weeks ago & they’re dumping it already! Why? I liked the original schedule where they repeated episodes! The big summer fling has been reduced from 4 hrs to 1! I was really enjoying those 4 hrs. Now no repeats at all! What a let down. They would rather play repeats of old programs than new soaps! That’s why nobody watches OWN!

I am so excited that All My Children is being aired once again. Thank OWN Network! I have taped every one on OWN. You sure made my days sunnier. Now keep it on OWN & you will keep me Happy. Sincerely yours: Jolene. 🙂

I am so glad to see my favorite soaps on OWN .I don”t own my own computer,so I hope they will continue to be on OWN.I don’t care what time they are on.I thought I’d never get to watch them again. So thank you OWN.

What happened to AMC on OWN?

Mark Consuelos Celebrates One-Year Anniversary as Co-Host of ‘Live’ Alongside Kelly Ripa

Today, April 17th marks a full-year since Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo, All My Children) took over the co-hosting duties of ‘Live” alongside his wife, and longtime co-host, Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley, All My Children).

Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest who are six seasons decided to be back on the west coast full-time. For Consuelos, now having the opportunity to work off of Ripa as co-hosts has been something of adjustment for him, but viewers have been eating it up.

Live with Kelly and Mark has remained the No. 1 entertainment talk show on television over the past year, growing 3% in average total viewers to 2.23M per episode.  It is also the most-watched daytime talk show in the last year in key demos of women 18-49 and women 25-54. All of this, since the real-life marrieds teamed-up.

Speaking with Deadline, Kelly Ripa shared why the two are gelling on-screen, “I do think that there is something very possibly relatable about our relationship. We have disagreements like a normal couple, and we’re not afraid to let them unfold on the air and in front of America, and I think people find a lot of themselves in that.”

Mark weighed in how he has progressed as a host, and what he could improve at, sharing, “I’d like to get better at my interviewing skills. I’d like to get better at reading a teleprompter…I think I’m getting better at throwing to commercial. The other day in the middle of the show as we go to commercial, my sign off was ‘See you guys around.’ I mean, the show wasn’t over. The most obvious thing to say would be, ‘We’ll be back right after this.’ But I just said, ‘See you around.’ So we went to commercial and one of the producers (goes) ‘What was that?’ I don’t know… So for the next few sign offs, as a joke, I’d say ‘See you around.’ We got a kick out of it.”

Meanwhile, Kelly has given huge props to Mark, “I find Mark utterly compelling, really interesting, super funny, and he’s bold in a way like nobody else. He says what’s on his mind. If he’s thinking it, he says it.  I’ve done this a long time and oftentimes people will adjust their natural personalities to pander to what they think the audience wants to hear, and Mark will tell people what he thinks, and he doesn’t care if it’s not a popular opinion. It gives him an edginess that I think is really missing in the landscape today. Everybody’s so afraid to say anything, and Mark is unafraid to say exactly what he’s thinking.”

In a statement, Debra O’Connell, President News Group and Networks, Disney Entertainment shared, We could not be more thrilled with how Mark has seamlessly joined the show family as permanent co-host. His undeniable charisma and his and Kelly’s natural chemistry are evident as they deliver the laughs and smiles to our viewers each morning. We are incredibly proud of how Live has continued to evolve and that the audience is responding so enthusiastically.”

So, do you think Mark Consuelos is the best co-host his wife Kelly Ripa has ever had on ‘Live’? How would you say he is doing as co-host after one full year on the job? Comment below.

Jacob Young Shares Production Pic of Cast of His New Film Featuring Joan Collins and Nadia Bjorlin

Last month, during a livestream conversation on the Michael Fairman Channel, while promoting Jason Cook’s film, Four for Fun, and featuring soap notables Jacob Young (ex-AJ, AMC, ex-Lucky, GH, ex-Rick, B&B) and Brytni Sarpy (Y&R), Young revealed some intel on his upcoming movie project.

Jacob shared that he was set to direct, produce and star in a Agatha Christie-like murder mystery feature film, Murder Between Friends shooting in Prague.

The actor/director expressed, “I’m flying at the end of the March to Prague to direct, produce and star in a film with Joan Collins (ex-Dynasty). Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe, Days of our Lives) is in it, and Toby Alexander Smith from Eastenders (ex-Gray Atkins). Plus, a couple of my Broadway friends and a very well known Czech actress (Hana Vagnerova). It’s very ‘Knives Out’ without having a hundred million dollars to shoot it, but still will be a lovely film nonetheless.”

Young is currently shooting the film’s principal photography abroad through April 17th.

Over the weekend, Jacob took to his Instagram to share a photo with the cast of the film where pictured is former Dynasty star, Joan Collins (ex-Alexis) and former Days of our Lives star, Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe).
