maybe we will finally get to see classic One Life To Live re-ran! 🙂 fingers crossed!

Tell us more about Year Rounders, Will any of our AMC / OLTL actors be on?

I watch soaps in part because I despise most so-called reality TV. There seems to be awful lot if reality on this schedule. I hope that Year Rounders is successful, but I don’t see me hanging out in this town.

Gotta agree with you. Reality TV is really not what I want to watch there are plenty of other channels dishing that out and choose not to watch. I want to see soaps

I have read that younger peoples like Reality TV..
They can tune in and out and not be lost and they also like fast, fast paced, show me and then in 20mins over and out ..
younger gen like different media than older folks, they grew up with fast paced internet programing and quick view reality stuff..
hey, they like it.. lol
I do not care for those stupid staged reality shows that are not even real reality , they are phony ..

I want one network broadcast tv station that will run Dark Shadows in full, from black&white day one..
And, AMC and OLTL..
then I’d be a happy camper 🙂

Dark Shadows is my all time favorite soap…the first few months of the show is very slow but it sure picks up when Laura The Phoenix returns from the dead to claim her son David!…by the way Laura was married to David’s father Roger who is also Laura’s grandson…in 1897 Laura was married to Rogers grandfather Edward…Edward and Laura had a son named Jamison who grew up and become Rogers father…lol…campy twisted DS was cool and fun!!!!

I have to agree…gotta say…I was hopeful about this, but judging from the shows..not what I thought it was going to be. Mabye it will change, and give us reruns of out soaps. Until then, I’ll pass.

This doesn’t seem soap opera related AT ALL seems like weird programming and MORE reality that we don’t need. Not seeming to original and not driving me to the computer to watch. Not a fan of web shows really but was willing to try, Since its based towards Soap Viewers but now NOT BOTHERING
GOOD LUCK Suddville “But I’m Out”

The line-up looks good. My only gripe is that it doesn’t include more soaps than reality shows. Oh well, it is only the beginning . I will give the network a chance to add more programming.

What does most of this have to do with soaps? A style show? A fashion show? I think I speak for my fellow soap fans: WE WANT SOAPS!!

I totally agree with you. We want to follow the development of interesting characters and see complex relationships and situations. We want to see interesting stories develop and play out to resolution. We want characters that grow and adapt to changing situations. We want something to invest in.

I am kind of baffled at the programming being as it’s called sudsville with so called sudsies??? Not only that but the length of time in between launch and the only soap drama offering two months later. I would have thought the roll out would have included the new soap and not shows about make up artists and grammies and newbie actors running here to there. SMH..and a game show with a chicken dinner ending…is that every episode?? This is more like E or POP and they already have their niche audience. Unfortunately this may go the way of Prospect Park in a now you see us now you don’t before the soap even airs. I don’t see this working…LOL…but IOMO..so we’ll see. Or rather others can.

You bet, Mark. I hate reality shows….not true to life. Becoming famous over one’s grotesquely huge, monstrously out of place butt is ridiculous. That thing is supposed to be a thing of beauty?
Then there are the plastic Hollywood housewives etc.
WHERE ARE THE SOAPS!!!!??????

And unfortunately CeeCee there seems to be no end to the Kardashian brand! Now theres a 17 year old female pimping herself out all over the internet and looks to be the next Kim! Uggg!

I may watch if there are some good dramas and not reality shows. I miss some of the soaps like OLTL and AMC as they had great actors. Most of these reality shows on tv have people who do not deserve the name of actor or actress.

Please listen to us, we need All my Children back and One Life To Live. I am not giving up hope. I will not forgive ABC, for cancelling AMC and OLTL. I hope ABC chokes on it. Brian Frons needs to be punished, and I will call Sheila Carter to finished the sob LOL.

I meant Sheila Carter to finish off the sob LOL.

I totally agree Johnny. There is no reason in the world why OLTL and AMC are not in production and on the air now. If they were so concerned about production costs, there were several alternatives to cancellation. Like you, I will never forgive the alphabet network or the mouse company for this horrible betrayal.

Not one soap related show on the schedule.
Nothing but garbage. Gong

What a disappointment! The only thing that looks interesting is the soap opera trivia with Michael O’Leary! And that’s not until December? Why is it on a Days of Our Lives schedule? Nothing else looks appealing, they have nothing to do with soaps.

Not impressed. Just more reality programming. Just what we need. NOT!

All networks or in this case, “Webworks” start out in their infancy with less than stellar programming. ESPN used to show softball games! I hear what people want and that used to be called “Soapnet.” Soapnet tried their hand at rerunning old soaps and talk shows. It sputtered out after a couple years and is gone now. Maybe this will turn out differently. Internet TV is now longer the future. It is now. One of the best shows on “TV” is on the internet and stars Jerry Seinfeld. He drives a classic car, picks up a comedian and they have coffee. Its great! Give this a chance and we’ll see what happens. As for classic soaps, it may cost too much to show them or they may be held up in some sort of legal mess.

I will watch the soap and the soap related trivia show, that’s it. I hope these shows will be available on demand.

Wish they had more about the soaps that are no longer on the air (I’m still missing my ATWT). Sorry, but the lineup doesn’t sound too interesting to me at this point.

Year Rounders and the platform is what is so exciting to me! It seems these shows and contests surrounding them will keep me coming back for more. Sometimes I can’t wait until the next episode of a show and it seems with this line up I will never get bored! So cool and I CANT WAIT FOR FALL!

The only thing that has possibilities for me is Year Rounders. I really do not like talk shows.

Sudsville had me hoping for more soaps. Why couldn’t they broadcast a “best of web series”. or a “Web Series preview show:. That would at least be soap related. .
Seems there could be done relatively inexpensive. (the word is relatively) . Would love to see soap opera repeats. . I wonder how the Doctors is doing rating rise for Retro tv?
