Victoria Rowell Blocks Eileen Davidson On Twitter!

Another little uproar has hit social media, and this time it involves Daytime Emmy winner and long time beloved Y&R star Eileen Davidson (Ashley) and former Y&R star, who is also in a lawsuit against her former employers Sony and CBS, Victoria Rowell (Ex-Drucilla)!  Apparently, Rowell has decided to block Eileen Davidson from her Twitter account.

It all seemed to begin when Davidson tweeted about the heinous and tragic shootings in Charleston, South Carolina that took the lives of nine innocent people.  Eileen tweeted on June 18th: “What happened in #Charleston makes me want to scream. And weep. Too much violence. Too much pain. #CharlestonShooting”   Victoria Rowell tweeted back to one of her followers and then asked Davidson the following:  “Good Question “@BriBuckhead: @eileen_davidson Did you fight against racism on Young & Restless?”

Yesterday, Eileen related on Twitter in confusion:  “Ok. What? Victoria Rowell has accused me of being a “ratings seeker”? I have no idea how what I tweeted about Charleston became this.”    That apparently came from a tweet from Rowell that said, “Alexis don’t be distracted by willfully blind shameless ratings seekers.”

Next thing you know, Davidson sent out this tweet that Rowell blocked her on Twitter.  Eileen related when answering a question to fans if she will be at Y&R fan event this August: “Oh LORD. @victoriarowell blocked me! Haha. FYI she and I have never had issues. Go figure. love on… and yes. I’ll be at the fan event!”  Victoria had tweeted ominously on June 21st, “I have blocked the interloper.”

Here are a few of the tweets in question after the jump.  Then let us know your thoughts on Rowell blocking of all people, Eileen Davidson!

#victoriawho???? Someone needs to work more and tweet less.

I wish they’d recast Drucilla. Look at Gina Tognoni in the role of Phyllis. You can get a talented actress in a legendary role and it’ll shoot off sparks!

I think the Phyllis recast actually proves that recasting a legendary role doesn’t work. Some characters are just too identified with the actor to ever be recast.

Alan, I disagree. Gina makes a terrific Phyllis and does so without chewing up all the scenery.
I never liked Phyllis until Gina played her.

I agree to a point, Gina is a good actress. Unfortunately she does’t seem to have a light side which was one of Phyllis’s best qualitys. She (and the writer’s obviously) have made the character mean and angry all the time.

My problem with Gina’s Phyllis is that she seems interchangeable with Dinah Marler and Kelly Cramer.

RIGHT ON HARRY……….LOVE PHYLLIS NOW…..

Yes! I wish they would recast Drucilla as well. VR is absolutely ridiculous. Y&R now has African Americans in most all aspects of the show and she is still carrying on!

I agree! I think GT is doing a fantastic job as Phyllis and I’d love for them to bring the character of Dru back but pleeeeease stick it to VR.

Gina makes a terrific Phyllis, and she is awesome, was thrilled she got the part and she’s doing an awesome job as Phyllis. I like her so much better than the original one that’s for sure!

I have to laff at how people can make a big issue over nothing..
It is twitter.. this type of exchanges happenes a million times a day normal stuff..
People block people routinely, no big deal..

It was a lot of nothing and Victoria Rowell will use any means to spew her crapola..
Victoria Rowell is not right in head, the way I see her a bit cray cray .. lol
Why would anybody would give her attention, is beyond me.. She loves it!!

Totally agree that she might be a little cray cray.
She has had a bad attitude for a long time.
Not a good way to try and get your job back.

These attempts by Victoria are desperate and futile-attempts in hoping that she will remain somewhat relevant. More and more-she sounds like a “nut.”

Oh VR is really absolutely nuts! She acts like a spoiled, insane diva on the set of Y&R and was let go because of it. It had nothing to do with the color of her skin.
How I hate false cries of racism because it undermines and distracts from the real racism which still prevails in this great country of ours.
I have been trying to give Victoria Rowell the benefit of the doubt but she has lost me here.
To compare the horrific and tragic killings of 8 African Americans to Victoria’s paranoid and narcissistic imaginings is beyond the pale.

Well said Harry…I agree 1000%!!

Amen Harry!!!!

Eileen kept classy. Apples and oranges are not the same. This was ridiculous!

Gee, I wonder what happened to that ‘class’ Eileen displayed so well on that stupid HOUSEWIVES thingy!

Actually she was classy on that show.

Smart and intelligent. Unlike a couple of the other cast members.

Black or white, it was Mass Murder in a house of God! #Notaccepteptableanywhere

True, and VR has to make it about herself.

I had been only watching Y&R a short time when Dru went over the cliff. I liked the character because she seemed to be Sharon’s only friend and I think that the depiction of friendship lacking on soaps in general. So I was sorry to see Dru go. What I know of VR is what I read here mostly and she seems like a real knucklehead.

Well let’s see, Eileen Davidson has multiply jobs on TV right now and Victoria Rowell has been seen on how many shows in the last 10 years. I think she is just trying to get some press and attention.

BINGO!
Eileen is on 2 soaps, clamoring for her. Victoria can’t get back onto one.
Eileen is on RHOBH. Victoria has been campaigning to be on the Atlanta version for eons.
Eileen won an Emmy. Victoria has always been bitter she never had.
Eileen is universally loved. Victoria thinks the hate she receives is a reflection of the people, and not due to her own actions and words.
Eileen is happy. Victoria is bitter.

Victoria is stirring the pot because she has nothing better to do with her time anymore. Picking fights with people seems to come naturally with her. She must be such a difficult woman.

Your two sentences pretty much sum it up!

Eileen’s tweet has nothing to do with VR’s fight.

I adored her and Dru, but ED is the one coming out better.

Shame that in the end it’s making VR seem…over reactive.

Fasten your seatbelts. It’s going to be a bumpy night.

right. i must apologise in advance because i’m about to fall prey to something i absolutely despise – i.e. the judging of people i’ve never met based on behaviour they exhibit in public, BUT – the merits of Victoria Rowell’s suit and grievances aside – she needs help. it seems so clear to me that she’s not well, and I hope someone tells her. I presume that in her mind all problems will be solved once she’s vindicated, but I think it’s not that simple. Someone please help her. Never mind the fact that she’s mortally wounding her career, she’s jeopardising her future physical and psychological well-being. and i do hope i’m wrong, but…

Victoria Rowell seems more and more unstable every time she makes the news.

I totally agree with you.
Not good for her resume.

God bless #EileenDavidson … she doesn’t need the delusional toxicity that Ms. Rowell has been spewing of late to keep herself ‘relevant’ in the media. (Good luck finding a project that will touch you after your protracted campaign of race-baiting and incendiary, divisive comments. Your career will be likened to Drucilla’s 2007 fall off the cliff … buh-bye!)

Victoria girl you are badazz! LOL. I like Eileen and I’m sure what she expressed was genuine, but when it comes to working and not working, working wins every time. Sorry :(.

Really, Victoria? I’m disappointed. However, I’m sure she couldn’t care less. Shameless remarks are so unnecessary and unlikely warranted. It’s clear Ms. Rowell is not content with moving on and showcasing her true talent, instead of resulting to bitter discontent and wasting precious time.

Eileen Davidson just move on and ignore the idiot, you have more class and I wouldn’t waste any time playing into her games. She’s sick and crazy!

Peace!

You know, first of all, why the hell is Eileen even following this psycho? Secondly, just like when Eileen lowered herself to be on Housewives, she is doing it again by having ANYTHING to do with Rowell. Grow up Eileen! Your heart was in the right place with the wrong nut bag!

Lets block Victoria R. from our minds!!!

Yes!!!!!!

Timmm ED is first and foremost an employable actress regardless of the vehicle. 3/4 of a MILLION dollars per episode..not per season..one can hardly blame her for subjecting herself to the nonsense..and since she is able to be herself and maintain a level of dignity..unlike some around her on that show..she has my support and viewership. She also has most likely overlooked VR’s rantings and most likely supported her as a friend on some level since she followed the woman..and was unfortunately attacked by that roving nutcase..have you seen some of the stuff on VR’s twitter? She follows me..I follow her..she responds at times..but now in light of all she is doing I just don’t bother to interact with her twitter page..and everyone has a right to defend a negative comment..why tell her to grow up..Her tweet appeared on VR’s page because they followed each other..Cray as cray cray can be VR chose to answer to it and try to incite a firestorm..which was just a blip…seems she can’t stay off that cliff and keeps falling over it even in real life.

Timm, apparently Eileen and Victoria were on friendly terms–they never had any issues which is why Eileen was so taken aback by Victoria’s out-of-left-field attack.
Victoria is Tweeting all kinds of crazy nonsense saying Stafford spit on her and that Melody Scott was dancing a tribal dance while wearing an Afro wig. (this is on Twitter–I am not making this up).
Forgive my warped sense of humor but that last visual does make me laugh.

And Chief Williams pulled her over because she was black! INSANE WOMAN!

It has been so many years since Rowell was on Y&R she is not even relevant anymore. I don’t know why she keeps saying Y&R is racist. I believe they have more black actors than any other soap. Ms. Rowell needs to get over the fact that at one time she was a character on a soap opera and now she has become just a character. A cartoon character at that.

It seems like Victoria can’t see beyond her famous agenda. Eileen’s tweet was nothing more than expressing her feelings (and mine) about the tragedy of the shooting in Charleston. I’m sure it doesn’t make any difference to her (or to me) what color the people were.. they were wonderful, innocent human beings. Period.

With all due respect, Carol. It seems to me that these feelings which Victoria displays, are deep rooted. Not one of is is in a position to air his/her opinion because we were not there. It is hearsay…..we repeat what others say.
There is a great chance that Victoria received ‘lip’ or overheard something racist, while on the set. If that is the case, then, she has every right to call someone out, on Twitter or otherwise…..Victoria is a mother, with children who may have been called names because of the color of their skin, or ostracized. So, let’s not be judge and jury….that went out with the Middle Ages…or should have. People, whether we want to admit it or not, are still very racist in this country. Unless one is black,
Cone does not know what it is like growing up black. WE DO NOT KNOW. All I see is a woman in pain with a lot of baggage…it is easy to agree with everyone, isn’t it? Gets everyone some points…..gets everyone to like us, right? Wrong!!!! Jesus was crucified for less!!!
“Put a little love in your heart”…..Jackie DeShannon.

With all due respect, Carol. It seems to me that these feelings which Victoria displays, are deep rooted. <-True.

Not one of us is in a position to air his/her opinion because we were not there.<-We were not where? I wasn't at the shooting, nor was Eileen. Doesn't mean we aren't sad and grieving.

It is hearsay…..we repeat what others say. There is a great chance that Victoria received 'lip' or overheard something racist, while on the set.<What does that have to do with Eileen (or anyone) expressing their feelings of sorrow & grief over something tragic that happened recently?

If that is the case, then, she has every right to call someone out, on Twitter or otherwise…..Victoria is a mother, with children who may have been called names because of the color of their skin, or ostracized.<Freedom of speech is our right. But my point is that Victoria completely changed the subject and made it about HER agenda.

So, let's not be judge and jury….that went out with the Middle Ages…or should have.<-So from this sentence, I gather you think I was being Judge & Jury.. about what?

People, whether we want to admit it or not, are still very racist in this country. <- I want to say Duhh! but I'm too polite, so I won't. Instead I'll say, what does this have to do with Eileen's comments expressing her sad feelings?

Unless one is black, one does not know what it is like growing up black.<-Again, duh..

WE DO NOT KNOW. <Some of us don't know what it's like to grow up red-headed and freckle-faced either.

All I see is a woman in pain with a lot of baggage…<-If you mean Victoria is in a lot of pain, I think that's probably true. What does this have to do with Eileen expressing her feelings?

it is easy to agree with everyone, isn't it?<-Are you talking to me?

Gets everyone some points…..gets everyone to like us, right? Wrong!!!! <-I happen to sympathize with Eileen's sadness because it mirrors my own about the Charleston shooting. Points?

Jesus was crucified for less!!!<-Less than what? I don't know how this sentence relates to my comment.

"Put a little love in your heart"…..Jackie DeShannon.<-Good song. I think it shows the love both Eileen and I and countless others have in our hearts to feel so sad about the tragic shooting.

Just as Victoria misinterpreted Eileen's comment, and twisted it into something else, you have misinterpreted my comment and given me responses that don't make sense…. most (all) of what you said has absolutely nothing to do with it.

@Carol.
I think that because of the way I expressed myself; that is, not made myself clear, you missed my poin, my bad.
I was not talking about the shooting…please that is an horrific tragedy…especially when children are involved. I have first-hand knowledge of losing a child.
I was referring to perhaps her treatment on the set. It seems that Victoria’s defenses are always up…alwaysn issue. That is why I said e carries a lot of baggage. And, because these bestie feelin se so eep-rooted, this i how hey mai fet them else….she verbally attacks.
Therefore, we need to have heart and understand from where her heart is speaking. I truly believe she has been immeasurably hurt…if so, she needs help. As I said…we were not on set (not the shooting, as you misconstrued) with her or Eileen. We do not know if anything ‘nasty’ went on between them. I do believe that many times, there does exist favoritism behind the scenes……especially Y&R. It has that reputation. Remember Michael Muhney? They would subtly let us believe what TOTB said happened. We were not there. Hunter Ki g and Eric Braeden are favorites on that set. Soooo.

@Carol
Sorry, my auto correct has a mind of its own.
….I meant to say….her feelings are deep -rooted and this is how they manifest themselves.

I could care less about Victoria deep wounded feels, whatever..
She is an attention whore who is cray cray..
She really is not worth the time..

why would anyone want to bother to analizes her is beyond me lol..
It would take years by a Physiatrist, probably a lifetime
(can’t be done on a forum board ahaa!

@su.
You are right, of course, Su. But, I really feel badly for her, as a human being. When someone is being so cut up, whether she/he brings it upon himself/herself or not, my heart cries. As I keep repeating, this is a long time in the making, and it would be years of psychiatric therapy.
You would know…aren’t your parents both psychiatrists?

I agree somewhat with what you are saying but VR did not start her racist rant until after she tried to get herself rehired on Y&R and was told there were no plans to bring back Dru…in any case if such racism did happen at Y&R, why would she want to go back to that?, especially be around those she has accused…why hasnt any other African American actors who used to be on the show or currently on back up her claims(i know some might not want to loose their jobs but still…)…i know there is a lot of racism against African Americans as well as other minorities but there are a good number of racist who are of color as well…i experienced racial slurs myself when i entered a predominately black neighborhood and im white…racism comes in many colors…i do agree that blacks do experience more than others but as long as its kept one sided the problem will never be solved…i myself have been called the ‘N’ word in high school by whites because i was friends with A.A. students…racism shouldnt be one sided and only when you are black-when a white baby was shot and killed by a black teenager and when four black men carjacked and tortured a young white couple whom they sexually assualted and murdered there was very little uproar over it…no protests, no racism comments, and very little media attention but when the victim is black you hear from Al Sharpton, many constant reports in the media and there are marches and riots but that never happens when a white is murdered by a black…look at the brutality in the murders of that Washigton family including a 10 year old boy…they were savagely tortured and murdered by an African American man but we dont hear the race card played…no matter what color one skin is, fat or skinny, young or old, religous or atheist everybody should be treated equally and fairly…the world would be such a better place!!!

@jimh.
My dearest friend.
Your words went right to my heart, and I cannot disagree with any of your commentary.
I am of Nordic (European) descent, so you can imagine how white I am. I had never encountered any negativity towards my person, until I went down south with friends. Other than my sisters, my best friend is biracial….mulatto. Her grandmother is Italian and her family completely cut her off for marrying a black man.
Her family is from New Orleans and while still in University, we took a road trip down there. It was a complete nightmare. It was awful…the racial slurs, the scorn, , the glacial stares, the dirty sidelong glances directed towards all of us at every pit-stop. It freaked me out…scary. Thankfully, the experience in New Orleans was comfy and welcoming……friendly and warm. But traveling through the many roadways, town and some cities was something that really jarred me. I guess I become very defensive because of that experience.
I think Victoria does have issues, but I will not cast stones, nor will I say anything negative because it only fuels the fire, and I feel badly for her. Later, Jim.

Victoria Rowell has issues and is a diva. Eileen is a classy, sassy lady. Please Victoria go away and shut the hell up.

I just can’t! People are such hypocrites, opinions based on tabloid gossip are not facts. I said it before and I’ll say again, the entertainment world is a dirty business, It’s all about who you do and who you know. People can express their opinions and call women Diva’s, crazy, delusional, etc. and conveniently make them disappear because the head honcho’s in charge make it happen. I’m not surprised by the attitude VR is receiving on this board because frankly this is the same attitude she had to work with. Oh wait, or these attitudes, opinions or facts?

Thank you, penny. I spoke my peace weeks ago on this subject. I will not waste my time because people have made the decision of getting on the same bandwagon. Where is the charity? The noblesse of heart? Let’s just stone Victoria’s “craziness” out of her head.
Everyone is a psychiatrist, a soothsayer and a fatalist …hurrayyyyy!!!!! Oh, please!

But Cee Cee and Penny, Victoria is putting herself out there for public ridicule with all her incoherent and random attacks on other people. Eileen did not deserve this–she was expressing some heart felt grief for the lives which were so brutally taken away by a white supremist, and VR comes rushing in on the attack and incongruously interjects her superfluous law suit into the scenario. Y&R has always been way ahead of other soaps as far as featuring African American families in front burner story lines is concerned. And these families were from all wakes of life, and not reduced to a neat and somewhat racist little stereotype. In the late 70’s, All My Children had one token black who was a n abusive street pimp named Tyrone. Meanwhile, General Hospital had a total of two black people, a nurse and a doctor, who did not have front burner story lines. All these aforementioned two did was sit in the hospital cafeteria and gossip about other characters. The black couple just served as some kind of Shakespearean chorus reminding viewers of the what had transpired with the front burner characters and they had no story lines of their own.
Then you had Y&R, which featured numerous African American families from who were involved in exciting, well written front burner storylines. There is a reason why Y&R has been the number one soap among the African American demographic for well over thirty years.
Racism in America is real–it exists and it needs to be seriously addressed. That is why Victoria pulling out the race card at this juncture is so heinous. She is using this tragedy to prop up her own agenda. By many many accounts, VR acted like a diva, an unbearable bully on the set. These accounts has come from other actors as well as from the crew. After while the accounts rise up to form some kind of truth of which we must take note.
Victoria Rowell needs to accept the consequences of her actions and stop pointing the finger at others.

@Harry.
Yes, Harry. I respect and understand that. As I wrote above., it is obvious this woman is a malcontent. There has to be a reason and this is how he displays her hurt/anger/disappointment and, yes, even discouragement. We should be able to grasp that notion before we attack the attacker. That’s all I’m saying.

@Harry.
Hi, Harry.
The post below, my dearest friend, was not intended for you. But, for Lou Pikes, who seems to resort to schoolyard name-calling.
I would never disrespect you so!
What surprises me is that some of my perfectly respectable comments are pulverized, while this rough-hewn person’s are not.
Later.

And you are just as delusional and crazy as VR. VR needs to sit her crazy @$$ down and stay off social media. I am an AA female and not a racist by any means.

I beg your pardon? Please keep your insults to yourself. There is no need to attack your fellow-poster. We exchange ideas and opinions. There is no right or wrong here. You, sir, madam…whatever, are displaying the same characteristics as Victoria…you attack. It only tells me one thing…you are the one with issues. I do not insult or offend. Have a care.

Okay, Cee Cee–I see your point. I guess I was addressing an entirely different issue.

Here’s a fact for you. Victoria Rowell took a lovely expression of sympathy about a truly tragic event and MADE IT ABOUT HERSELF.

Please don’t be surprised that people notice this and don’t applaud her for her narcissistic behavior.

Again, shows how truly petty Victoria Rowell truly is in this situation; she needs to just give it up. All of her Twitter ranting for the past four to five years, it is insane and makes her look immature.

I am wondering if this is VR’s attempt to be cast on “RHOBH.” There seems to be a mass exodus on that show.

Victoria Rowell, proving more and more why no one wants to hire her crazy butt.

OH HOW STUPID!!!! EILEEN IS A CLASS ACT!!!~

VICTORIA ROWELL—-NOT SO MUCH….SHE DOES ANYTHING TO GET HER NAME IN PRINT…..IS IT ANY WONDER SHE IS NOT ON A SOAP!!!!!! IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE!!!!!

looks like v. rowells finally given up on returning to y n r…. not even gh which usually takes y n r s scraps would touch her… thats bad!
rowells shamefully using a real life event to self promote her lawsuit… is she trying to get a spot on real housewives of beverly hills?! she s more the real housewives of atlanta…lol.
wow, rowell is one tacky chick. thank god hilary and leslie have capably replaced her on y n r!

This is news? Really? Who cares?

Victoria Rowell needs to work more and tweet less. She seems like a tough person to work with. I’m still puzzled why she would wait all these years after quitting to sue. If I had to leave a job because of not being treated right,I would do something about it immediately. I think she may be running out of money. Definitely overreacted.

It is so obvious that V.R. has serious problems. She continues to utter this garbage whenever she sees fit. What happened in Charleston was very sad and it was racial and there is a lot of that going around but how dare she compare this horrible tragedy to how she felt treated at Y & R. Does this kook have any sense of morals at all? She needs serious help. The one looking for attention is V.R. who never misses a chance to shoot off her mouth. She has ruined her acting career. Nobody in their right mind would hire her now knowing what a trouble-maker she is. Ellen Davidson came out of this a real classy lady which doesn’t surprise me at all.

More drama. It’s a shame VR acts this way. I still enjoy watching her on my Diagnosis Murder DVDs.

I don’t know what Eileen posted that caused all this.

I love those DVD’s myself, Mo.
I don’t think it matters what Eileen posted. It could have been anything to ignite this pent-up rage which stems from somewhere within the deep recesses of her mind. This has been my point all along. You ‘gotta’ feel sorry for someone with these profound, dark issues.

As much as we all seem to think that racism in hollywood, (Y & R specifically) doesn’t exist, it truly does exist. Victoria seems crazy to you all because most of you don’t know or have never had to fight for a cause that most are too scared to fight against or turn a blind eye to it because of the threat that you may lose what you already have.

Everything is not what it seems eventually more people will come forward and you will see she isn’t the only Black Actor/Director/writer/producer who has been wounded and watched others be treated viciously in this business solely due to being black.

Just don’t walk in judgement, watch closely, do your own research before you make comments against her. Her entire point is that Black people are underrepresented in places of power in Hollywood and in the workplace period. and on top of that black people are the biggest customers across the board.

I love Eileen and i always have but victoria was just pointing out to Eileen “why are you commenting on the atrocities of something that was in Charleston, there are huge injustices happening in front of your face, did you do something about it, or did you just make a random comment and then go back to your regular life.”

Hallelujah: Jade, we walk together, friend!!!

In other words Victoria was ignorant.

How any person in America can relate the terrorism of Charleston to a TV soap opera casting issue is proof positive that Victoria Rowell is six nuggets short of a happy meal. Eileen Davidson is one class act and a beautiful soul through and through. Victoria Rowell is not only acting bat dung crazy but is destroying any chances of finding ANY work in Hollywood. Ask Mo’Nique what it’s like to be blacklisted in Hollywood. I have a feeling that not even Queen Latifah would give Victoria Rowell a job in her next movie. Keep quiet Ms. Rowell, no one is paying any attention to the bitter woman in the corner.

Attention-seeking, headcase. YES, Victoria Rowell, I am referring to YOU.

I still remember seeing you years ago at the Culver City Train store wearing your “disguise” so no one would recognize you. You were such a diva then and still are. Some people just cannot enjoy life. It’s too short for such trivial things. 🙁

Racism is not trivial. A black human being stopped by a traffic cop for no good reason is not trivial. The Underground Railroad WAS not trivial…that sentiment still exists in the hearts of TOO MANY!!!!!
Etcetera etcetera etcetera.

CeeCee, I was not implying racism is trivial. I am appalled at how some still proudly display those confederate flags. The ignorance of some. What I was implying was that her antics by which she gets attention are trivial. Instead of suing Sony/CBS and complaining about ex-coworkers in the media. She is an intelligent woman who should find another avenue to fulfill herself and be philanthropic.

Why did she need to attack Eileen for what Eileen commented about on her own Twitter account? To get attention and to prove the point that she continues to be very polarizing. There are much better ways she could have gone about it.

@Chrystie.
Thanks for expounding, Chrystie. I apologize for misunderstanding. You know I am a fan of yours. I am really learning much of people’s thoughts, in general. It is good for the soul to both agree and disagree. This is why I love these sites. Later.

CeeCee,

Sadly I am not the most eloquent with my thoughts. Having two kids has really put a damper on my diction. 🙁

Hmmm I wonder what normal people do on their day off? I attack the cable guy for burying my neighbors cable in my yard and digging up my gorgeous yard I worked on. If you think I am being sarcastic you are right VR needs to stop it she is becoming a partner with Jackson & Sharpton. ED should have left it alone that is like trying to argue with a drunk no one wins.

victoria whats her name is just jealous because eileen is a big star and she is a has been.

If I CHOSE to leave a job and I didn’t have a great relationship with management, they are NOT required to rehire me, if I have a change of heart. Victoria Rowell is a talented actor and I loved her as Dru, but it is time to move on. Also, what happened in Charleston, SC was a horrific tragedy and it shouldn’t be used to her case. Nine African-Americans lost their lives to senseless violence. No comparison here.

I think it’s high time Y&R recasts Drucilla. Not only could the show use the character again but that will make Victoria Rowell FURIOUS! lol

Victoria seems to get crazier the older she gets, she comes across as a full psycho. No wonder she hasn’t been able to get any acting jobs since she left Y&R a decade ago.

Recast with Tyra Banks!!! Would she!?

Tyra would be great, Ghlover…..I always love your ideas. But, as Lily’s mother, she would be too young. It’s a soap, so it may work.
I think Blake’s got it right. I have been waiting for a recast forever. Y&R needs Dru back. Perhaps a reunion with Neil, will stop him chasing young girls, who ultimately break his heart…..there are many great actresses suited for this part…..If TPTB would be willing to modify their ages; such as Nia Long…better yet, Queen Latifah. She would certainly smack some sense into everyone in GC.

Victoria Rowell: Please just go away… To attack Eileen Davidson for merely showing empathy for the tragic situation in Charleston, SC, is beyond ridiculous.

I don’t see how Y&R could ever be accused of racist practices, given the storyline prominence of their black actors over many years. Y&R does the best job of any soap, past or present, in that regard (excluding the short-lived Generations). From what I read, Rowell was a diva of epic proportions on Y&R, and by her own personality, she alienated many coworkers.

As a long time fan of VR, as Dru, her behavior is outrageous insane and it’s time for her to check herself. She need to stay off the social media, nobody made her the guard to watch over every thing someone’s post on. VR should focus on her case and building up her reputation the right way instead of making an idiot of herself. YR should recast the Dru role to another actress. Seem to me VR do not know how to play the real game in soaps because of that, she is blacklisted. Other Black actresses are doing very well on prime time series those actresses used to started out in day time soaps.

I’d love to see the first mom from Fresh Prince, Janet Hubert play Ms. Rowell’s mother in something…or maybe not. Be better not bitter, there are reasons for everything, but the high road wins.

i am baffled that so many of you are followers and short-sighted. Just because someone makes you feel uncomfortable or there delivery is aggressive doesn’t mean they are wrong in what they are complaining about. She is a very accomplished woman who has chosen to be an activist, she has always been a household name and that will not change in the near future. The reason so many of you are uncomfortable is that you aren’t used to seeing people fight for what is right, a cause because we live in a society of people that gets dictated to and live their lives based on popular opinion. Just because Eileen may or not be aware as many of you are as well doesn’t mean that Eileen wasn’t a part of the problem. Many choose to turn a blind eye to facts and others plights because it doesn’t suit them. We should all stand united but we don’t because we don’t want to “rock the boat” or lose what we have. Pretty selfish of all of us who don’t stand up for what is right for all of us. It’s a terrible shame that most of you would rather vilify this woman instead seeing all the great she does and not even willing to research what she is fighting against. Nancy Lee Grahn’s Star-Studded ALS Fundraiser Reveals “I’ll Be There” Video Featuring Soap Opera Notables

Talk about your impressive line-up! It’s a soap fans dream and for a great cause. General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) is prepping her one-night only ALS fundraiser which will feature many of her friends and co-stars.

The benefit is set for May 4th in Glendale, California. Slated to participate are Genie Francis, Jane Elliot, Peter Bergman, Maurice Benard, Eileen Davidson, Thorsten Kaye, Michelle Stafford, Stephen Nichols, Rena Sofer, Jason Thompson, Kelly Monaco, Melissa Claire Egan, Maura West, Kristina Wagner, Gregory Harrison, Trevor St. John, Kate Mansi, Kirsten Storms, Cynthia Watros, and many others.

On Wednesday, Grahn took to her social media and released an “I’ll be there” video shout-out featuring, Monaco, Elliot, Bergman, Bernard, West, Harrison, St. John and more. In a touching and important moment in the new video, Michelle Strogny, who is battling ALS, is featured.

Previously, in speaking with Soap Opera Digest on the impetus of the event, Grahn recalled, “I was actually doing Zoom events during Covid and I met this woman that I just fell in love with, Michelle Strojny. At the time, Michelle had been living with ALS for four years. Now, it’s five years. She is a mom of a teenage son, she has the most wonderful husband, and she has been dealing with this [disease] for quite a while. And obviously, there isn’t a cure yet. It’s not survivable yet. But as she says, it’s not incurable. Nothing is; it’s underfunded. But anyway, I just really dug this woman. She is so grounded and filled with grace, and she spends all of her time working to raise money for the cause. We did a fundraiser for her last year and then I thought, ‘You know what? The soaps don’t ever get together to do something for charity.’ Collectively, we have this amazing community and we don’t collectively use it for a good cause, and I think it’s such an easy thing for us to do and we could potentially really make a difference.”

As GH viewers know, Gregory Harrison is playing the character of Gregory Chase, who is also battling ALS in a touching storyline that is currently playing out shedding a light on this disease.

‘General Hospital’ Writer Shannon Peace Let Go, and Shares on Sprina: “One of My Only Regrets is to Not Have the Opportunity to Develop That ‘Ship’ Further”

As General Hospital’s new head writing team of Elizabeth Korte and Patrick Mulcahy gets off the ground and running, there are still changes a foot on the writing team.

Now comes word via breakdown writer Shannon Peace that she is no longer on contract with the long-running ABC soap heading into its 61st season. Peace shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram, thanking the fans, and the show for the opportunity and the importance of diversity in the writers room.

Peace began, “After almost 3 years on staff and 106 episodes penned, I am no longer on contract with General Hospital. Writing for this country’s longest running television serial drama has been an education of epic proportions; I will forever be grateful that I earned my WGA card on a daytime fixture that holds memories for so many.” (Peace pictured below with GH EP Frank Valentini and script writer, Charlotte Gibson from about ten months ago).

Shannon added “Even more importantly, as the sole Black breakdown writer (and only POC in the writers room) during my tenure, I pushed for vital interactions and discussions that prioritized inclusion, visibility, and representation”

The writer pointed to the example of vital interaction when in story, “Stella and Portia’s frank July 2022 conversation about the role race played in Esme’s framing of Trina is just one example of the impact I’m gratified to have had.”

Acknowledging former GH co-head writers was also part of Peace’s farewell expressing, “Appreciation to my former bosses, Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor – not only taking a chance on me, but for valuing my opinion and championing my voice.”

Many GH fans know that Peace was key to the development of the love story between Trina Robinson and Spencer Cassadine as played by Tabyana Ali and Nicholas Chavez. Shannon gave a special shout-out to ‘Sprina’ fans, “I also want to thank fans who were supportive of my work, especially the recognition of my love for ‘Sprina’. One of my only regrets is not having to develop that ‘ship’ further.”

She concludes her statement with,”In the aftermath of a historic writer’s strike that shed new light on the troubling ways writers are regarded in daytime, my sincere hope is that General Hospital recommits to valuing staff writer efforts and input, with a more intentional focus on diverse viewpoints — and thrives for another 60 years.”

Accompanying her post, Shannon added, “Thank you all for the love and support these last few years. I hope GH fans get all they hope for and more!”

So, what do you think about GH not renewing Shannon’s contract? Will there be more continued changes afoot? What do you think is the future of ‘Sprina’ anyway at this point as viewers wait to see if Nicholas Chavez officially returns to the show?  Comment below.
