The Young and the Restless, Lee Phillip Bell, issued her own remembrances on the passing of the legendary Jeanne Cooper, who passed away this past Wednesday and broken so many hearts of fans and her colleagues who have loved seeing her on-screen for 40 years as Katherine Chancellor, the grand dame of Genoa City.

From Lee Phillip Bell:   “JEANNE COOPER: respected colleague, industry icon, woman of passion and grandeur; most important, beloved friend. She was a shining beacon. Her love was unexpendable, and was given freely to all, from fans to great celebrities. She was not jaded by success, nor impressed by wealth and fame. Her crowning glory was her family: her children Corbin, Collin and Caren and her grandchildren, whom she adored, and all of whom adored her in return. Her presence resonated in the lives of all those around her. Through her personal and professional journey, she saved hundreds, possibly thousands, from the depths of alcoholism. She embodied compassion and forgiveness. No daytime icon has ever been more influential in the lives of millions. She will be terribly missed, but her light will shine on forever. May angels guide you on your journey, dear Jeanne. I will love you forever. “

It was beautiful!

A very moving and heartfelt statement!

BEAUTIFUL

Such a amazing statement for such a lovely lady who will always have a special place in my heart. <3

A touching and loving tribute. There will never be another Jeanne Cooper. I sincerely hope YR does not recast the role of Katherine Chancellor. It would be disrespectful to both Ms. Cooper and her fans in my opinion.

Still in shock over this news!

Jeanne came into my home for forty years and she was the greatest.i will miss her and the. Love I have for her will always be there.

She was a beutiful lady inside and out. She was loved by all. She touched alot of lives. I watched her on Y&R for many years. I hav been deeply moved by her wonderful Son, Corbin’s updates of hs Mother’s condition. I lived what he and his family are going through, I remember when I to, would sit by my Parents bed day after day, hour after hour, praying they would get better, not wanting to let them go, but after you come to the realization, that they won’t, you reaize, you can’t be selfish, you need to say goodbye, and let them go. That is why I was so touched, by his statements. He showed his heart to all of us and I thank him for doing so. Anyway, Jeanne will never be forgotten. She played a tough lady on the show, but had so much heart. I loved her scenes with Jill. Her love for her family. Those goodbye scenes with Tucker, so moving. No one could ever replace her. Wil miss her greatly. A wonderful iconic actress.
