On Monday, The Young and the Restless’ Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) was one of the special guests along with 58th Annual Grammys host, and NCIS: Los Angeles star LL Cool J.  Thompson’s segment aired towards the end of the episode, but ‘Talk’ co-hosts: Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, and Sheryl Underwood posed several questions to Jason.

When asked about coming aboard to Y&R, Thompson related that it was easy fitting into playing on the Genoa City canvas.  Jason told the ladies of The Talk: “I’m sure you’ve met many of them over the years, but they’re just great people and I mean it feels really good to be over at CBS.”   Jason also noted that his first scenes as Billy called for him to just lay still in a hospital, “I have to say as an actor it was fantastic, because I had all the castmates , all the people that mean the most to the character, crying and billowing over the character, so I learned a lot about what their relationships were. How we kind of got along in this past life, or the life I wasn’t really a part of, which was great. I was kind of mentally taking my notes as I was laying there trying not to, you know, wink or do anything.”

The ladies did acknowledge Jason’s time on General Hospital as Dr. Patrick Drake, and he  in turn related a story about his most memorable fan encounter which happened while on GH.   Now on Y&R, since Billy is asking Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to marry him again, the panel brought up Jason’s recent real-life wedding to Paloma Jonas.  And if you caught the episode, Jason revealed a few interesting tidbits about their relationship, and it was clear just how much he loves her.

You can watch a clip of Jason’s opening comments on The Talk after the jump.   Then let us know, if you are enjoying Jason’s performances as Billy Abbott on Y&R?

If I were a man I could not imagine anything more awful than to talk with those 5 woman lol.
(even as woman I just couldn’t go there ahaa!)
JT is getting his well deserved recognition as a great man and actor..
I really am luvin Jason as Billy..
It’s a very good thing that JT moved out, up, and forward.

((I do not miss him as Patrick because he’s now Billy 🙂

What a Yenta fest! Jason went from a crumbling empire to Trump Tower or should I say Newman Tower! Y&R is not going anywhere baby! GH is horrible!

What in the blue hell is going on with Sheryl’s hair! But anyway, Jason was great. He actually got to talk. He didnt beat around the bush, he is happy to be off GH and on Y&R! PS: His wife is beautiful AND the wedding pictures are fantastic!

He is so classy y&r is so lucky to have him

Oh, I agree, Mark. What a gentle, refined man!….so well-mannered. Just a well-rounded, nice guy.

Jason is great on Y&R.

Sheryl was awful. She was shouting. There is no need. There are such things as microphones and volume controls. Is she always like that? I only watched Jason’s segment. I get Sheryl is a fan, but you can be a fan and be professional. She was just awful. I couldn’t watch the show on a regular basis with her on it.

I wish Jason’s segment had been longer.

His segment was way short, I agree. Almost one of those “blink and you’ll
miss it” things. Wished for more time for him.
I FFed to his part…and oh my gosh, that Sheryl really is a bit much!

He works for CBS now and the network pacify’s the fans with this little segment. Thats okay, I knew what to expect. JT is a class act and thats all that matters. Oh, and Sheryl didnt mount him like humping post the way she did with Steve Burton! It was gross and classless!

Hi Timmm, Ugh, that visual isnt pretty, so I am glad I never saw it, lol.
I am guessing Steve’s reaction was polite…or did he show
an obvious “please get off of me” expression?

Seriously, when Sheryl was on I turned down the volume so I didnt blow a woofer! She is loud and child-like!

I have always said; those women, all of them are loud!!!
When they all get going it is unbearable, really! … LOL

LOl you are very annoying. Sheryl Underwood is a funny lady and a soap fun. The Talk is a terrific talk show. You need to shut the hell up and please go away.

There isnt enough duct tape in the world for Sheryl and Sharon’s big mouths!

Sometimes I feel fortunate to have just found Y&R in the last couple of years. That way I can enjoy Jason in his new role as Billy Abbott without all of the other Billy’s to compare him to. But I must admit I like him way better than Burgess. I think he’s fitting in well, and it’s really good to see him be able to add more layers to his role than he did as Dr. Patrick. And I like him better with Victoria than Robin…there’s more sizzle, at least for me.

Want to add that even though a fairly new viewer to Y&R it didn’t take long to get bored with Neil and family

YES !

YES !

and MORE…. YES! The Winters Clan are dead ! dull ! ovah

WHERE ???? is Drucilla

just bring her back… Y&R you have nothing to lose and everything to gain…

Devon has a setback… is once again deaf…. let’s throw in dumb and blind.

Drucilla returns to cache 2 billion dollars
Drucilla dynasties her purse
Drucilla la lady is hot about town smelling like green and purring change

ensnares Neil… he’s still got some HOTtie! better outfox quickly Dru…
still out on the red light… Nikki could easily beget

especially now that Neil fell of the wagon

Okay, nothing against the actor, but they need to recast the role of Billy Abbott ASAP. I mean, I’ll I see is Patrick Drake pretending he is Billy Abbott other than Billy Abbott himself. Also, I feel the character of Billy could have been put to rest for a year like Phylliss was before the role was recast!

I’m enjoying him over on Y&R JT is talented. I think he is a great asset to the show. I’m a fan of the show as well as B&B.
