Y&R's Steve Burton Teases Big Reveal: "It's A Who's Your Daddy Secret!"

Daytime Emmy winner and a nominee again this year, Steve Burton (Dylan McAvoy) of The Young and the Restless was the special guest on this Monday’s Talk of The Town on CBS Nashville affiliate Channel 5.

Burton who was in-studio in Nashville during his segment, since he now resides there, talked about his decision to move his family to Music City and that he has formed a film production company that will be rolling projects in the near future.

However, when it came to the subject of what is happening next in Genoa City, Burton revealed that something major comes this way when he stated: “There’ a big secret coming out in the next couple of weeks.  It’s going to shake up Genoa City. It’s a Who’s Your Daddy secret.  It’s going to put a wrench in a lot of things so we’re excited.”

Fans of the number one soap opera have been guessing for quite some time that Paul (Doug Davidson) could actually be the bio-dad of Dylan and not evil Ian Ward (Ray Wise).   And from the way the story is playing out with Paul and Christine (Lauralee Bell) talking about baby’s and Paul losing his son well over a year ago, might this make the most sense?   If , this is not the “Who’s Your Daddy” secret he is referring to, could it be that Summer (Hunter King)  finds out that Nick (Joshua Morrow) is her real bio-dad and not Jack?  Or, could it be Victoria (Amelia Heinle) being pregnant by Stich (Sean Carrigan) or Billy (David Tom)?

Watch the segment from Talk of the Town with Steve Burton after the jump!  Then weigh-in on which “Who’s Your Daddy” secret is about to reveal itself!

I want Paul and Nicki to be his parents.. praying to the soap gods!

So sick of Chelsea

I thought for sure Sharon and Dylan would have the same father . Ian

Yeah, Sharon’s mom seems like a kook and she would fall for Ian’s BS!

I’m pretty sure the reveal is that Paul is Dylan’s father and not Ian.Also it could be about Summer’s true paternity coming out but the show might be waiting until they recast Phyllis before dropping that bomb.

They’ve already recast Phyllis. It’s gonna be Gina Tongoni, she’ll be airing by the end of summer I think it said so we may have both those paternity secrets airing very soon.

I made my post before i found out about Gina being cast as Phyllis. However she won’t start airing until mid to late Summer. So the show might wait till then to have Summer’s paternity reveal. As for what Steve Burton is teasing that’s probably going to have to do with who Dylan’s father is and what secret Ian knows. However i also don’t think the show will do paternity reveals around the same time.So they might do Dylan’s now and Summer’s in a couple of months.

Both of these who’s the daddy need to be revealed so the stories can move forward instead of languishing in limbo.

I knew Paul would turn out to be Dylan’s father and I love that twist. It finally cements Dylan into the canvas and gives Paul another chance at fatherhood. The resemblance is believable as far as the blondes having a blonde child. And Davidson and Burton have a similar low key acting style and are good at playing genuinely nice guys. As for Summer…keep her an Abbott. It makes more sense…its a better story. The Abbott’s have lost Colleen and Delia. Keep Summer an Abbott.

” And Davidson and Burton have a similar low key acting style ”

Low key? Burton is like a dime store Indian he is so stiff.

I agree. He must not drink any of his coffee!!!

More then likely that Paul is his Daddy I do not see him plugging a story that he is not involved in. Also the fact that they have now cast a Phyllis I do not think the Summer storyline is going to happen until she wakes up so that the powers be can totally destroy Sharon and Victor gets to say I told you so. I did find it humorous that SB does not even say the words General Hospital. I wish his character was not so dull.

I don’t think Sharon will be destroyed by the writers (they have said they are trying to fix her character from past writing regimes). It will be Sharon Case (Sharon) and Joshua Morrow’s (Nick) 20th anniversary on the show this August so perfect timing for Phyllis to wake up. In the end I think it will be revealed that Sharon only imagined she changed the paternity results and Summer really does belong to Jack (there was always speculation when she was conceived that she could be Jack’s since he and Phyllis were involved at the same time she and Nick were (similar to Victoria, Billy and Stitch now). All they have to do is another paternity test – where hopefully no one messes with the results.

EC I really hope you are right I am really tired of them throwing SC under the bus. I still think it is hysterical that Jack took Nick’s word again why did he not ask for his own DNA test?

It’s most likely that Paul is Dylan’s biological father, since I don’t see Ray Wise sticking around much longer. Plus, Paul and Christine are trying for a baby and it would dig a wrench into their baby-making plans.

These two are a little old to be starting a family, no? Paul is pushing 60 and Chris is in her mid 40’s.

Good point. Ray will leave soon and that would leave Dylan without someone to play off. Having said that, Paul is a good guy, what type of animosity could there be between him and Dylan? Maybe he and his son will join Murphy at the fishing hole?

It looks like Dylan will be Paul’s son as they have been showing Christine peed off at Nikki and Paul’s closeness.

I hope paul is Dylan son and Christine leaves can’t stand her at all. Maybe Nikki will dump Victor and Paul dump Christine and they hook up to-gether that would be a good match.

Nikki and Paul were engaged and she dumped him so I don’t think they’re going back there.

I have a feeling that another paternity test will be done and Jack will def be Summers father, Sharon will get away with it. At least its what Im hoping for, they have destroyed the character enough.

I would hope another paternity test is done just to make sure once and for all who Summer’s father is and the characters all agree to accept the results no matter what they are.Plus even if it turns out Sharon just imagined she switched the results the fact that she considered doing it and thought she did do it could cause problems between her and Nick.

Since Sharon has been mentally out of sorts for a long time now, do we (the audience) actually know if she switched the paternity results? She may have, she may not have – we will have to wait and see…

Personally, I want Summer to be an Abbott and Jack’s daughter .

I doubt I will be surprised over the ‘Big Reveal ..
We all know Paul is Dylan’s father..

Seen that one coming a mile away LOL ..

I totally agree with you, I also seen the writing on the wall along time ago that Paul was going to be revealed as Dylan’s father. I do not understand how Nikki could not figure out that she had sexual relations with two men within the time frame of the pregnancy? I like Steve Burton but I am afraid the character of Dylan seems lifeless.

Victoria should have twins, Billy it the father of a little girl Dr. Ben is the father of little boy, it has happened before. This would make their fans happy!!
I don’t care who Summer belongs to, she could just leave town and I would be happy!

Ahh heck Father’s Day is in June– why not make all three Who’s the Daddy storylines front and center. I too believe Paul is really Dylan’s father, which is what I wanted from day one when I heard they were giving Nikki a long lost son. Have my fingers crossed that Billy is the father of Victoria’s baby. Also hoping we will find out Sharon didn’t tamper with the results and that Summer is a bio Abbott but raised a Newman– her belonging to both families is the only thing that makes her interesting. Also speaking of fathers did they ever explain to Jack where his son Kyle disappeared to? I can’ seem to recall if they did.

LOVE IT!!! Sry but, I think steve burton as dylan is a sweetheart and a grounded guy.. Maybe his role on GH was more challenging and edgy but I got use to him and feel for his character. Aftter being in war, to losing his parents who raised him, to chasing after his long lost heartbreak avery, then being lied to about having a son connor and then learning his real mother gave him up and was a productt of abuse? I think dylan had quite the year and deserves the nominatioon! Poor guy… *HOPE PAUL REALLY IS HIS DAD*!!!

I totally agree! Dylan is such a sweetheart, and YES, I hope Paul is
his dad..and.sure seems to be the way this will play out.

Oh great. After Ian and Paul, next year his father will be Jack Abbott and so forth. Sorry none of this is going to make Dullen any more interesting.

Paul and Dylan would be great! Ian will leave town soon BUT he has to leave some sort of trail behind. Maybe he will be murdered and Paul will have to end up arresting his own “Son” as a suspect?

Agree 100%. I suspect Ian will be murdered and not by Dylan but all the evidence will lead to him, Paul’s long lost son.

ummm Dylan/jason, your dad is Alan Quatermaine, and your mama is Susan moore, you have amnesia, and or were drugged by JFP, and you now think your this Dylan guy, well, your being duped, your not, and your stuck in genoa city but your from port charles ny, your amnesia will most likely last a couple of more years, and although some miss you in port charles, most don’t, overall, we are glad your stuck in genoa city and that you think this women name nikki is your mama, and your dad might end up being this guy called paul whose supposedly a P.I, from what i can tell, maybe not a good one, just saying, oh well, regardless, Sam has moved on, and if truth be told, she did faster then you can say whose my daddy? she got involved with a Doctor no less, you and him have personality or lack there of in common. Liz was more loyal to you, she held out longer, just so you know if and when you come back or not, theres rumors they might upgrade you and have you look like this billy miller guy, we’ll see, in my opinion your not really needed back anytime soon, but if you do come back, it wont hurt if you now look like this guy. just keeping you updated while your living the life at genoa city, say hi to Jill, tell her we don’t miss her one bit.

Paul’s. Dylans dad forsure… Saw this coming. They act, even look similar. What I don’t get is how didn’t Nikki remember or suspect it if she was intimate with both ward and paul ap the same time frame..
