Can anyone explain this stupidness to me ?

Bryan Craig (Morgan Corinthos) General Hospital; in the Younger Actor category.

He is far from young, he is grown man (in every way..

Bryan is 24 ..
Old enough to have a master’s degree/Doctor, Attorney, Congressman, he is not a child, and not a ”young actor” , he is an Actor .
How embarrassing for him..

They should cap that category at age 18 ..

25 is the cut off year

Historically, that category has been capped at 28, with a little leeway. Why should he be embarrassed to be recognized for a body of work in a legitimate category? He could not compete in the higher categories because he wouldn’t stand a chance. He is in exactly the right category, and if after age 28, he continues to mature as an actor, then he can move into the bigger categories.

You go su!!!! Even under 18, which is old enough to vote and conceive a child.

@Dylan.
No, Craig should not be embarrassed. I mean, the categorization is neither his fault nor his doing. I am blaming whoever is responsible for devising the strange lumping of babies with adults.
I just realized Kelly Thiebaud is about four years older than I. If she were still playing the role of Britt, would she also be a younger contender for the Emmy?
As I said, the cut-off point should be less than eighteen . Then again, what do I know? Well, I know that anyone over 18 is an adult. How does one compare the performance of a child to that of an adult; apples and oranges…….just makes no sense!!

Well, he does act like a whinny little baby-so younger works here-lol

yah but c’mon.. at age 24 any man would cringe at being referred to as ‘a young one” ..
24yr old Marines/military are no longer young ones, they are men and killing machines..
That goes for all at age 24; embarrassed to be noted as young, expecially when holding a Masters ..
I think they should make the young category end at 18..

It didnt bother me when a couple in their 80s called me ‘youngster’…lol

I’m partial to Pierson Fode’s scenes on B&B. I think he’s done a great job in a short amount of time, plus he’s been given some heavy duty material. I hope he wins.

Believe me when I say, I am shocked to say it but Bryan Craig gets my vote. If ever anyone ever showed so much growth it is him!

The audio for Tequan’s reel doesn’t work. Besides that my vote goes to Bryan with Pierson a close second

Out of all them Nicholas Betchel (Spenser) on GH in my opinion is & should be the Emmy Winner for Younger Actor in a Drama Series GH!

Yep- or Tequan.

Max Ehrich (Fen Baldwin) gets my vote but lets face it, I think they already know who’s got the vote and it has to do with the producers themselves. That is why I never watch them.

Why is Nicolas Bechtel in the same category as these guys? They are old. He is the ‘YOUNGER’ contender, is he not? I don’t get it!!
But, be that as it may…….Bechtel has my vote. Big time!!!!!! He leaves everyone in the dust, considering his age. This is a STAR !!

heeey Ceecee..
I’m with Bryan/Morgan.. he has been giving A+ performances..

Not as a youngster, su. LOL. compared to whom? Bechtel? Age achieves maturity and ‘Mortem’ is no youngster. As you said, he is 24….. Almost old enough to be little Nick’s father. As a matter of fact, his girlfriend and I are about the same age. Bryan should be in the ‘adult’ category.
However, he is not good enough of an actor to be in that league….is that why? I don’t know. So he’s dumped at the ‘younger’ category’s door? Just speculating here; just sayin’.

Because there are no Emmy categories for Cutest Child Actors/Actresses

As cute as the kids might be they’re basically just good at memorizing their lines and following the instructions of the director. They’re far too young and lack the life experience to deliver a truly nuanced acting performance.

Nicholas Bechtel is a very cute kid but let’s be honest here…he’s also a little ham who’s just delivering overly precocious lines about his true love, Emma Drake.

GH got a little carried away with their kiddie quad but the kids themselves who did do solid work for their age really don’t belong in the younger actor categories.

It’s not a question of everyone else being too old. It’s about the fact that they’re too young.

Oh, I understand KM. I have two small children myself and a ‘brigade’ of nieces and nephews.
More so the reason to establish a category all their own. To bunch these ‘cuties’ with adults is simply idiotic.

Nice work from all the nominees but Nicolas Bechtel is a standout. Tequan Richmond also delivers very understated, natural and believable performances.

They were all very good, but Bryan Craig would get my vote. My mother has dealt with bi-polar disorder for the past 20 years, so I know it very well, and he portrays it in a very real way. The sudden, random shifts from almost euphoria to suicidal despair. The manic episodes, the roller coaster of emotions. I think he’s really matured and grown as an actor since he joined the show in 2013.

I’m also gonna say what I say every year at this time when I see the Emmy clips. It’s always amazing how many GH actors actresses submit scenes with Maurice Benard. All three GH actors in this category have scenes with Maurice. It shows what a giving actor he is, and how well respected he is by his fellow castmates, even as he gets snubbed by the Emmy voters year after year.

I agree with the need for an age rule-overhaul regarding these “younger” categories. That being said, I don’t feel that Tequan or Max even deserve a nod this year. TR’s acting hasn’t progressed much and Max was barely seen. My vote goes to Bryan Craig for some really unforgettable and heartbreaking scenes this year. This actor is a real find. It took a while for me to warm to him, and now I can’t wait to see what he’ll do next. You can’t say that too often. Bechtel and Fode are also very good and would be deserving winners any other year.

Well said, Soaphound!!

I feel that this should go to Bryan Craig hands down. Regardless of what his age is or how people feel about him, his portrayal of Morgan going through all of the ups and downs of being bi-polar before he was diagnosed and put on medication has been played beautifully. To be honest, I wasn’t a fan in the beginning but he has grown into an amazing actor playing such a powerful story arc and deserves the award for that reason.

Both Brian Craig, and Nicholas get my vote! They are both awesome actors!!!

More of the Story on ‘General Hospital’ Star Josh Kelly’s Latest Film Role in ‘The Workout’

We had previously shared that General Hospital’s Josh Kelly was taking three weeks away from his role of Cody Bell to a shoot a role in an upcoming movie entitled The Workout.

Josh originally revealed his role in the film during an episode of GH castmates, Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson’s (Spinelli) podcast.

Now Deadline has filled in some of the blanks, and shared some intriguing intel on the premise of the film and its back-story.  The film stars Kelly along with Peter Jae, and UFC Fighter, Ashlee Evans-Smith. Other cast members include The Bay’s Kristos Andrews.

In The Workout, two army rangers set out to create a workout video, but their plans are abruptly halted when a mob hit interrupts their filming. Tragically, one of the rangers loses his wife in the attack, sending him on a relentless mission to take down the mob and anyone who stands in his way.

The film from James Cullen Bressack, almost did not get financed.  Apparently, ten days before his birthday, Bressack made a post on Instagram about the feature and production, casting, and financing came from the post … illustrating the power of social media. After the post gained traction, a producer provided financing and actors expressed interest in joining the project, leading to a quick production.

In a statement, Bressack shared, “As artists a painter paints, a musician makes music, a writer writes, but as filmmakers we have to ask permission to create. It’s time to change that narrative. This film spawned from a necessity to create. We create. We tell stories. We play pretend. I’m excited to take this journey. This is the truest form of collaboration and a community of friends coming together to make something fun. While our industry has had a rough time recently with strikes and a possible strike looming in the future, it’s nice to remind ourselves why we got into film to begin with. To have fun telling stories.”

No word yet on when The Workout will be released.

So, looking forward to seeing this collaborative effort featuring GH’s Josh Kelly? Comment below.
