Last night at the 46th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, after the envelopes were ripped open on-stage, the winners headed back to the press room to pose for some photos in the winners’ circle and to stop and chat for some interviews.

From GH’s Max Gail to Maurice Benard, to Kathie Lee Gifford and Judge Judy (Lifetime Achievement Award recipient), to B&B’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood and Y&R former EP and head writer, Mal Young, to Alex Trebek and Valerie Bertinelli, there were plenty of triumphant and emotional moments.

Check out our gallery of some of the night’s big winners as they pose with Emmy gold in our photo gallery below.

Now let us know, who were you most happy to see win on Emmy night? Comment below,

I gotta say;
The Daytime awards are zeroed out.
They died a couple of years ago..
It is ridiculous for the soap actors to invest in dresses and hair etc, when the networks won’t even produce and air them.

Those awards have to go to Facebook for gawdsake! to even be broadcast..
That speaks volumes.

bottom-line– they are not worth the effort the actors put into them.

They all were dressed very well, a lot of glitz, but really, for Facebook, c’mon.

I hope this will the last year for the awards to save the actors from glitzin’up for eeeehhhh.
All good things come to an end, it’s time.

I agree 100%

I don’t watch General Hospital on a regular basis, but Maurice Benard, is a always on point, and he acts with his body, his eyes, he is the best male actor on General Hospital, period…..congrats to this gentleman…….

heeeey Carlos-
Sonny/Maurice is the top of the lader..
I am a Sonny fan 😉
Maurice has put half of life into GH, or something as that, and he has never failed to deliver- he brings it home!

My man Mo brought me to tears with his no speech and shout out to parents. He did an excellent job, researched the subject and teamed w Max Gail…OMG double winners!

Max Gail/Michael is the main man..
I really light up when he’s on screen..
He truly deserves his award.

Judge Judy lost her wig, she got herself a different look.

Nurse pat- she was a unique character I like her..
it’s good she got herself an award.

Haley Erin, she deserves her award,, she will do well wherever.

I thought Mishael Morgan should have won for supporting actress.

Max Gail was good in the role and deserved his eEmmy but the story was overdone and dose dived near the end…KEVIN IS REALLY RYAN!!!!

I think that it’s sad that they don’t televise the Daytime Emmy Awards like they used to. The actors are on during the day more than the primetime actors/shows yet they are televised. I was so glad for Max Gail. He deserved the Supporting Actor award for his role. I’m glad for Vernee Watson, Erin Haley & Maurice Bernard for their wins. I was very surprised that Jacqueline Woods won for Best Actress and not Maura West. Not taking anything away from Jacqueline, but Maura knocked it out of the park during this entire season. And another surprise was Young and Restless winning the writing & best drama awards with all of the negative press that the actors and fans felt for the past years. I was hoping GH won for best writing and I thought sure DAYS would win for best drama. Surprises all around.

Ricky
What stunned me was seeing that Mal Young, standing up there taking all the credit. I kept watching for the cast’s reactions around him as he spoke, but didn’t catch anything.

You do got to admit that Y&R submitted the best reel out of the 4. DAYS was NOT going to win with Abigail’s DID storyline.

More of the Story on ‘General Hospital’ Star Josh Kelly’s Latest Film Role in ‘The Workout’

We had previously shared that General Hospital’s Josh Kelly was taking three weeks away from his role of Cody Bell to a shoot a role in an upcoming movie entitled The Workout.

Josh originally revealed his role in the film during an episode of GH castmates, Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson’s (Spinelli) podcast.

Now Deadline has filled in some of the blanks, and shared some intriguing intel on the premise of the film and its back-story.  The film stars Kelly along with Peter Jae, and UFC Fighter, Ashlee Evans-Smith. Other cast members include The Bay’s Kristos Andrews.

In The Workout, two army rangers set out to create a workout video, but their plans are abruptly halted when a mob hit interrupts their filming. Tragically, one of the rangers loses his wife in the attack, sending him on a relentless mission to take down the mob and anyone who stands in his way.

The film from James Cullen Bressack, almost did not get financed.  Apparently, ten days before his birthday, Bressack made a post on Instagram about the feature and production, casting, and financing came from the post … illustrating the power of social media. After the post gained traction, a producer provided financing and actors expressed interest in joining the project, leading to a quick production.

In a statement, Bressack shared, “As artists a painter paints, a musician makes music, a writer writes, but as filmmakers we have to ask permission to create. It’s time to change that narrative. This film spawned from a necessity to create. We create. We tell stories. We play pretend. I’m excited to take this journey. This is the truest form of collaboration and a community of friends coming together to make something fun. While our industry has had a rough time recently with strikes and a possible strike looming in the future, it’s nice to remind ourselves why we got into film to begin with. To have fun telling stories.”

No word yet on when The Workout will be released.

So, looking forward to seeing this collaborative effort featuring GH’s Josh Kelly? Comment below.
