Sucks for us in eastern time zone.

I just checked and the episode they’re showing today is already online

I just checked and it’s the exact same one that it’s been showing so it’s not new it’s still showing the one where the shooting breaks out

Totally. I wish they had just left it. It’s not like we’ll die without it lol. And It’s not fair for those who can’t see and don’t want to watch the next day or online.

Amen to that!!!!!!

And Central! We won’t get real time episodes either.
I hate watching on the web, app or on demand because I have to sit through the commercials!

Why couldn’t it be watched the same night on ABC.COM Instead of the day after, EVERYONE will be caught up..IMO

so unfair for those on the east coast — all coasts should air at the same time!!!!! ABC is making a big mistake

This is so unfair!! Why don’t they just keep the trial on the News Stations for people that want to watch it??!!

I’m in Ontario, Canada. How can we see new episodes of GH? Canadians can’t access ABC shows online. If anyone knows, please let me know.

In Winnipeg I watch it online on CityTV

Are you getting the episodes after the shooting? That’s the last episode I saw in Ontario last week.

City Tv showed a new episode today in Ontario. Good news!

The announcement still seems a little bit vague as to what will actually go out over the air, but if they allow viewing on the abc.com website/app without the fascist cable company paywall, that’s a fair solution. Especially for those of us who don’t watch at the usual broadcast time anyway.

Considering the episodes are ALREADY 8 days late, there’s no need for the cable oligopoly greed to rear its ugly head here.

UPDATE: I’ve been told that the 1/21 episode of GH aired today on HellCable in the normal time slot. So let’s hope this is the practice for the rest of the week.

online is better than not at all

Amen to that.

thank god for Hulu and iTunes, I can’t wait to start watching later today.

Hi, I’m from Canada, I tuned in today and it was a repeat again. So frustrating. Hopefully tomorrow it will be a new one.

You will see a new episode on Friday. ABC still has to catch up with the two episodes aired in Canada last week. So on Friday, everybody’s back on the same page again.

I was about to cancel my Hulu! Why pay for GH on Hulu, if I’m not getting the service I wanted in the first place. Anything else is optional. Back to my favorite Day time show.

My understanding is ABC will
Also air the show at 2:37 AM on the east coast until the impeachment trial is over!

There’s no super couple that is “must see“ and that pulls me in, like a Sonny & Brenda, or Frisco & Felicia. There is no romance or “love in the afternoon.” Carson is as boring as watching paint dry. Jasam talks in a monotone about the same boring things. Putrid Peter is unwatchable and has zero chemistry with Maxie. The show is unwatchable.

Oh, DMRR, it gets worse. Now we have Brando Corbin, presumed son of Gladys, joining the foray. Gladys?! We need this? Granted, the actor is very handsome. But I want Drew and Hayden back and less of YET ANOTHER Corinthos-centric yarn. Peter? Flush him.

You can’t be serious?!? Gladys is so awkward and just pops up, randomly. Who is writing this drivel?

Sam: Combination of broken monotone utterings and whispered cat-mews, DMRR….can barely follow what she’s whimpering about. I thought Sam was this unconquerable , sleek sleuth; not, “SOS”, maiden in distress….or should I say; Matron?!?!
Sonny and Brenda a super couple? I wasn’t watching GH at that time. Did Sonny always have THE Napoleonic Syndrome?
PS—I’ve been catching up on utube, when possible.

Sam is one of the weakest, most boring characters, IMO. I grew-up watching S & B in the 90’s. I didn’t like Brenda’s last return, though. It was awkward, and a horrible story.

TPTB have not aged Sam ( mentally, that is)—-I do believe that’s one of the reasons she is so “ineffective”.
I consider the character neither interesting nor alluring. I’ve always been of the opinion that the best person to judge a female character ( or women in general) is another woman.
No charisma……Plus, paired with Burton? The most boring couple—-
I can’t wait for Nikolas and Ava getting it “together”—–

YES, agreed!

My word, Celia, how can viewers be invested in JaSam? Two non-communicators who’ve made staring an Olympic sport. Sam was more tolerable with darling Drew. Where, oh where are Drew and Hayden? Instead we have Gladys and Brando? WHO CARES about these people? Meanwhile, Franco, Elizabeth, Cameron, Anna, Tracy, Lucas, even Julian are adrift and that dreadful Peter. I’m reminded of Katharine Hepburn’s line from ON GOLDEN POND: “Bore, bore, bore!” At least Maura West is keeping me tuned in… she’s having a field day with sexy Nikolas.

What about Nova Scotia Canada.

CityTV will air a new episode on Friday. Right now they’re waiting for ABC to “catch up” with the episodes that were shown in Canada last week.

Try googling your local abc station and general hospital. I did this and found my station is airing gh at 2:30 am. I think other stations are doing this also. Now I can dvr it and zip through the endless commercials.

I’m in Virginia Beach and really over my favorite show (GH) being pre-empted! Amen for Hulu! I feel bad for the people in our time zone that don’t have access to a computer or a Hulu account. Hopefully this circus that is basically being forced upon us on every network will be over soon.

I’m in California and we had a new episode today, Thursday January 30. Now we have a new lady detective in Brooklyn, and the arrival of… wait for it… Brando Corbin, possibly son of…. wait for it…. Gladys. The actor is hot, but all these Sonny stories leave me cold. What’s next? A long lost sister of Peter the not-so-great? Oy vey!

Heiny already has a sister. Remember Britch??(She’s not likely to come back soon though, as she just landed a prime time gig somewhere)

LOL, Soaphound—-or, by soaps’ devine intervention, Dev is, in fact, really Brando’s son? Brando?? What kind of name is that? Gladys must have been a Marlon-fan.
There must be a reason why Dev and Sonny came “together” in the first place. I had said as much at the outset—there’s a link there.
All these comings and goings—-soon enough we’ll be regaled with a coronavirus storyline.

It is airing here in Boston late night either 2:37AM or 3:07AM the station said it will vary which isnt great but at least can watch it and at least its also available online and via on demand as well

I watch GH on Hulu normally and have for the past several years, so this is great news! It’s long overdue from ABC. They should have had this plan in place from the beginning, instead of leaving GH viewers in the lurch. It’s not like anybody didn’t know for a long time that the impeachment hearings were coming. It will take a little while, but eventually everyone will get caught up, regardless of how and where you watch the show. Glad GH is back, it’s been really good over the past few months, in my opinion.

‘The Talk’ Renewed For 15th and Final Season to End in December; Does Its Cancellation Make Room for ‘The Gates’?

Things just got very interesting over at CBS daytime with the announcement today that The Talk is going to end its run on the network after its 15th season, and that season looks to be shortened as the series will come to its conclusion in December of 2024.

In a joint statement, Amy Reisenbach, President, CBS Entertainment and David Stapf, President, CBS Studio, shared, “The Talk broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format. Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe.”

Reisenback and Stapf added, “It goes without saying that hosting and producing a year-round talk show is no easy task, and we express our sincere gratitude to our amazing hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood, our Executive Producer/Showrunner Rob Crabbe and the hardworking producing team and crew.

Giving props to those who co-hosted or worked on the show through the years including: Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen Moonves, Carrie Ann Inaba Leah Ramimi, Marissa Janet Winokur, Holly Robinson Peete, Eve, Aisha Tyler, and Sharon Osbourne, the joint statement added, “We also want to acknowledge our former show hosts and colleagues who contributed throughout the seasons. We truly appreciate the skill, creativity, and dedication everyone involved brought to the show every day.  And of course, we thank the numerous guests who appeared, and the millions of viewers who tuned in daily. For the final season, we plan to celebrate the show and give it the proper sendoff it deserves when it concludes in December 2024.”

While no firm decision or announcement has been given at this time, it seems most likely that The Talk’s time slot could be given to the new soap opera in development The Gates from CBS Studio Ventures and from longtime soap opera writer. Michele Val Jean.  As previously reported, The Gates features the lives of a wealthy Black family who reside in a posh, gated community.

The Talk was originally the brainchild of Sara Gilbert, who had developed the show when it launched back 2010 and it replaced the beloved As the World Turns which went off the air after 54 years when CBS canceled it.

So, what do you think of The Talk being canceled? Will this make room for The Gates to begin to air in its spot beginning in 2025? Share your reactions to the news via the comment section.
