Bryan Craig Cast As General Hospital's New Morgan Corinthos!

General Hospital’s Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly’s (Laura Wright) son Morgan finally returns! And he too has developed a case of SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome)!
According to Soap Opera Digest and a tweet from actor Bryan Craig, the young man began to tape this week on April 15th at the set of the ABC soap opera! Craig tweeted, “Great first day at my new job, love it and everyone involved,” Additionally, Bryan Craig has been put on contract in the role.
Just what will Morgan’s disposition be kike when he returns to Port Charles? After all, he is the son of the often times troubled Sonny and Carly!

General Hospital’s Adam J. Harrington Weighs-in On John and Carly, and How it’s ‘Starting to Get Very Complicated”
On recent episodes of General Hospital, Carly (Laura Wright) came to John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) rescue as he was beaten down in an assault. Carly put on her “nurses cap,” sort of speak, and got John to his hotel room and watched over to him, to make sure he didn’t lose consciousness.
GH fans also got their first glimpse of what may be a new romance for Carly, if she and John continue to bond. If John and Carly were to have a relationship, it would certainly have a ripple effect with Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard).
Adam J. Harrington shared his view on the scenes and what might be next between the two. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Harrington shared, “I thought it was written in a way where there’s an understanding and a respect between them both. I don’t think there was any moment where she was not aware that he’s an FBI agent, and there was no moment that he wasn’t aware of her history and relationship to other people in the town. I really liked it. I was really looking forward to shooting it with Laura and we had a really nice time shooting it.”

When Carly and John part ways, it seems there were some romantic sparks, as Harrington puts it, “Isn’t that interesting that sometimes with people, the one moment they actually show how they feel is when they know there’s an escape hatch. They know they’re about to walk away. So, it’s almost safe in that moment to do it. I thought that was really special about how (the writers) handled John and Carly. Even the music in that scene was beautifully done.”
Where is this all heading? Conflict! Internally and professionally, and as Adam explains, “Who Carly was to John on paper as just a tool to be used as bait is starting to get very complicated.”

General Hospital’s Steve Burton Reveals the Emotional Scene He Almost Could Not Get Through
On a recent episode of General Hospital, Jason received a message from his mother, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) via a note. The effect it had on Jason’s portrayer, Steve Burton turned out to be quite visceral.
As GH fans know, although Jason’s bio-mom was Susan Moore, he was raised and adopted by Monica. Speaking on his Daily Drama podcast with his co-host and GH co-star, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Steve shared some insight on the difficulties he had getting through that scene.
Burton shared that in the key moment, “Brooklyn (played by Amanda Setton) came in and that’s where she gave me (Jason) the letter from Monica. That was a very hard scene for me to do. That was a tough one. That was the one time I was almost going to call ‘cut!’ It read ‘Jason, I believe in you.’ I was literally going to walk off the set.”

To clarify and in the story, Monica was saying “I believe in you” and that she knows Jason didn’t shoot Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Steve added, “It was tough, man. Emotionally, it was a tough scene. It was overwhelming in the moment.”
Steve went on to detail to Anderson, “She (Brook Lynn) pushed it to me and I read it and she was walking out and I had to stop her, but I was so emotional I couldn’t even get it out. And at that point, I’m like, ‘Do I just keep going … or do I just walk off the set right now?’ But, I knew just to stay, because it’s so hard to get back there, once you shut it down. I knew, the next take wasn’t going to be the same.”

It’s clear that Leslie Charleson is so missed on-screen as Monica by all of her castmates, and that Jason and Monica had a very special mother/son relationship throughout the decades on GH.

George Russo to Appear on General Hospital as Carmine Cerullo
Coming up, it looks like Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) grandfather, Carmine Cerullo is headed to Port Charles.
According to casting news from the ABC soap opera, George Russo will take on the role. Russo will tape his episode next week on April 15th and will appear on the May 15th episode of the long-running daytime drama series.
If George looks familiar he has been in numerous primetime television shows and motion pictures including: The Offer. Winning Time, Grand Crew and Shameless.

Longtime GH viewers will recall that Lois’ (Rena Sofer) dad, Carmine, was previously showed up in Port Charles on and off from 1994 to 1996 and was played by John Capudice.
Clearly, it seems that Carmine will be a part of Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s wedding. Will it go off without a hitch? Are you looking forward to it? Stay tuned.

Finally! I knew they had to be casting Morgan! They’ve mentioned him enough the last few months. Hope it does well. That must be a tad bit intimidating going into scenes with such “dominate” onscreen parents. lol.

He looks like he has really SORAS’d… how old is supposed to be? He and Molly are supposed to be close in age right? He will be with Carly, Sonny, Michael, Molly, TJ and Rafe. He will probably be with Lauren when she comes on the canvas… they met at school or something. I wish it could have been Araon R again… but he is very cute! Can’t wait to see what will be happening!

Robin delivered Molly on screen in 2005. She’s super aged as it is so I don’t think it really matters at this point how old they are compared to each other.

Eventually the writers will pair Felix with someone. Felix is looking for a dating relationship, even pining over straight men ( such as Milo ) that he knows deep down inside can never be.
TG Morgan was basically raise by Jax not Sonny.
The first (and Good) actor who played Morgan, looked like he would be Gay. Hoping they continue with that route. Imagine Sonny and Carly having to deal with this? If Bobbie had issues with Lucas, Sonny certainly will. He is still too young for Felix, but may Lucas will come home and mentor his cousin and hook up Felix in the process?
Felix just may get a love interest in the form of Lucas Jones, Bobbie & Tony’s son, I hope so I lime Felix. 🙂

I highly doubt that Morgan comes on as a bully he wasn’t around Sonny or Jason that much growing up. Unless it’s something he picked up on in military school I don’t see it happening.
It was just a guess…not really sure what theyll do with him…i said the bully suggestion because OLTL and some GH fans have complain in the past that a few RCs GH stories are similiar to some of the stories hes done on OLTL!
You dont have to be around someone like Sonny or Jason to turn into a bully…ive seen all sorts of bullies who act that way for various reasons and you it doesnt matter if you come from a good or bad family. Some teens just like to pick on someone because they just want attention and think its cool to do so. They might do out of jealousy or for no reason at all. There are all kinds! But i doubt RC will do another one but you never know!

Granted, Morgan may be under 18 when he comes on so it may not be appropriate for him to be paired up with Felix – because of his age not due to his sexual orientation. Are there no gay soaps?! Not to be rude I don’t care what people do or who they do it with but I have been watching GH since I was born and to have to fast forward through any more then I should just give this up or try to get into gay love scenes! Sorry I do get grossed out no to mention I don’t want to get into it with my young kids. I am not going to watch it just to be a PC Zombie! I guess it is time for me to grow up and get a new hobby! There have been too many actors and actresses in the roles of Morgan, Michael and Kristina over the past three years (8? 9?), that I can’t invest in this.
Sure as the world, 8 months into this kid playing Morgan, the show will fire him just like they did Lindsey Morgan. Just when we were beginning to like her as Kristina.
Maybe Morgan and Rafe will be boyfriends. That would be cool.

I really like Michael now that he is now longer a murderer-in-training. I love the relationship he has with AJ and love that he is for all intents and purposes out of Sonny‘s orbit. Him and Starr became a lovely couple and I hope they are re-paired when Kristen Alderson comes back as Nu Whoever. I wish the new youngster playing Morgan all the best. I hope they do not turn him into a Sonny mini-me. I hope he can hang with Molly and TJ and Rafe and that set and they can just be depicted as normal teens. Are there any new spoilers on the new roles the OLTL contingent will play?

Cool! Thanks Tarly. I had heard Kristen may be Serena. That makes historical sense definitely. I would love if this show would finally address Jimmy Lee Holt. My aunt had the serious hots for him when I was a kid. No regime has cared to deal with him…he could have 6 kids by now. I think Roger is a little old to be Jimmy Lee‘s son though, no? Roger is in his 40‘s. I guess that doesn‘t mean much. Cady McClain is 43 in real life but will be playing at least a 60 year old in the AMC reboot…as her grandson is now 17. Lol. Anything can happen on soaps. I would like to see Rog as more of a hero. He has played the same character for so long…he played Todd on OLTL, then Todd oops I mean Paul Ryan on ATWT then Todd on GH. Whoever Michael plays, I hope it is not brooding/monotone like McBain. Ideally, I wish they dcould be the originals. This will effectively end any future GH/OLTL crossovers and that is a shame. I have always loved watching when soap worlds collide. I think it would be beyond cool if ABC or Prospect Park Could bring characters from long defunct shows like Ryan‘s Hope or Edge of Night or Loving. That would be awesome, and I dont understand why there is such a reluctance to do things like that.

Enough gay/not gay. felix can be funny but, he is also over the top .I hope they write these teens better than they did OLTL. those teens were not likable especially Jack. he was a brat. I have no problem but I don’t want to watch just like I don’t watch fishing shows or someone gutting a deer, thug life shows, pregnant and a teenager shows, the chew and other cooking shows, anything to do with celebrities lives, ect. As you can see there is quite a bit of crap on tv that I refuse to watch! If someone is grossed out by two men or two women kissing why do they have to be a BAD PERSON or wrong! Or is they should just have to watch it enough so that they aren’t grossed out! I have been watching GH forever and already fast forward through alot of it during in a borings storylines. I am not PC and don’ t think someone should have to be someone else so that they don’t offend someone else. Just be polite and respect others even if you disagree! I usually watch GH while I am doing laundry, my baby is asleep, and my husband is working. It’s always been something I enjoy but if It starts to change into storylines that is a turn off to me then it isn’t worth it to me. Then I won’t watch anymore. They will write the stories to entertain who is watching. I will find something that appeals to me. Being “gay” doesn’t “bother me” being beat over the head with the “gay” hammer bothers me! Don’t be heterophobic! Don’t give your opinion if you can’t respect someone else’s.

There has been talk about being beaten over the head with same-sex storylines, but compared to the amount of male-female love scenes, there are hardly any. You don’t have to be PC but you are being close-minde. We live in a world of diversity and soaps are realistically trying to portray that diversity. If it bothers you so much, you probably shouldn’t be watching these soaps and you should probably move to your own deserted island.
