THIS WEEK: Jason Thompson Featured In Standalone Episode of Y&R

As Billy (Jason Thompson) has been battling his inner demons and an alternate personality had emerged, which was caused by his deep vendetta with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman),  and the loss of his daughter Delia.

Now, The Young and the Restless is going to explore that deeper with Jason Thompson front and center in his own Billy-centric standalone episode set to air this Tuesday, September 17th.  The hour will focus on Billy grappling with his emotional trauma.

For weeks now, Billy has not been acting like himself as tried to kill Adam, and later was taken to a cabin by Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to try to get him stabilized.  However, Billy does not remember when this dark version of himself emerges as he sets out to get at Adam.

In the latest promo for Y&R, Billy is seen choking himself as both he and his alter-ego seem to battle it out.  Look for others to appear in the episode along with Thompson including: Peter Bergman (Jack), Jess Walton (Jill), and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis)

In the hands of the incredibly talent Thompson, we know this will be a can’t-miss performance, as Jason always delivers and gives 110% to his work.

Check out the promo here ….  which also features Victor’s((Eric Braeden) life and death situation, and then let us know if you are looking forward to seeing the standalone episode with Jason via the comment section below.

Sharon Case Celebrates 25 Years On The Young and the Restless; Shares With Fans: “Thanks For Going On The Ride With Me”

Over the weekend, The Young and the Restless Sharon Case reached her 25-year milestone in Genoa City! For Case, who was the third actress to take on the role of Sharon Collins, and once believed she would only last six months on the top-rated CBS Daytime drama, has become an integral part throughout the years to the drama and the romance that happens on the canvas on Y&R.

To mark the occasion, Case sat-down with Michael Fairman on the set of Crimson Lights at CBS Television City where Y&R is taped; to take a stroll down memory lane, and to share her thoughts with her legions of fans on the life and times of Sharon Collins Newman.

From her character’s wrong-side-of-the-tracks beginning, to meeting Nick Newman, to many of the memorable storylines and moments that were among her very favorites including: when Nikki, Phyllis, Sharon and Victoria buried J.T., and of course, to her leading men through the years, Sharon reveals some backstage and on-camera Intel.   As viewers know, Sharon Newman had also had her share of catfights through the years in longstanding conflicts with both Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and of course, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and Sharon discusses those moments too.

Sharon and Michael also relive when Cassie’s death, was first aired on the show, and the impact that story has had for decades on everyone who worked on and has watched Y&R over the years.  In addition, Sharon discusses how she felt the night she won the Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series back in 1999.

At the end of the interview Sharon relates this message to the fans of Y&R: “I have always felt like these 25 years wasn’t just working here and playing Sharon … or working here with all the wonderful people … it’s just as much about going through it with all of you, especially because of social media, but even when we didn’t have it, we always knew that you were there and we were partners with you … because it really is sort of a partnership.  I really have felt like we have been in this together the whole time.  We don’t have a studio audience, but we know you’re there, and we love hearing from you.  It really was just as much about you – this journey I have gone on, than it was anything else, so ‘thank you’ for being there and watching the show, and being faithful to the show, and thanks for going on the ride with me.”

Jessica Tuck Returns This Week To General Hospital

There will be a Cassandra Pierce sighting in Port Charles, which means one of the best actresses we know, Jessica Tuck, will be back on your screens this week on ABC’s General Hospital.

Tuck, who became soap-famous for her role as Megan on One Life to Live from 1988-1992 and then went on to primetime television roles returns to the canvas as the evil Cassandra, a role she debuted on GH back in 2017.  Viewers last saw her pop during Michael (Chad Duell) and Sasha’s (Sofia Matteson)vacation.

But this time look for Tuck to mix-it up with GH icon Genie Francis (Laura) in some major showdown scenes, when she holds the mayor and Curtis (Donnell Turner) at gunpoint on the Haunted Star.  Will these two be able to get the on-the-run villainess locked up for good? Don’t necessarily count on it.

Of course, a man who both Cassandra and Laura have an interest in bringing down, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) plays heavy into the story. But will Cassandra do a double-cross of a double-cross? Who else may get a dose of something potentially lethal that she has been concocting?

Jessica told Soap Opera Digest that when she found out she would be working with Genie Francis; “I was like Woo-hoo! Hot diggity!  I mean, like many people, I have been a fan of hers forever and ever and ever.  It was fun to meet the person behind the character I’ve gotten to know.”

So, excited to know Cassandra is back in Port Charles? What do you hope happens next for her, Laura, Curtis and Valentin? Comment below.
