CONFIRMED: GH Rep Details Florencia Lozano's First Airdate May 7th!

On-Air On-Soaps fans have been quite excited over the past few days with the news of one of their favorite One Life to Live stars was heading over to General Hospital! Of course, we are talking about the talented Florencia Lozano who has a confirmed first airdate from a GH rep of May 7th! So Tea Delgado will emerge in Port Charles and most likely mix-it up with Sonny and Todd! According to all the reports, May Sweeps is when Roger Howarth will also be returning to GH as Todd Manning.
So the big question is … will they powers-that-be bring Trevor St. John into this mix soon as the very much alive, Victor Jr.? Will Tea perhaps be the next women to be seduced by the charms of Sonny Corinthos? Or, will she go after justice against Todd? There are many avenues to travel down here in the capable hands of GH’s head writer, Ron Carlivati.

Not excited at all about Tea coming to GH. I didn’t like the character much on OLTL, I think I’ll like her even less on GH where women are written much more poorly.

Amen to that! When names of OLTL were characters being released I was praying Tea would be one of them. She’s such a great actress, and Todd needs her in his court (no pun intended),
I watched OLTL for many years and was never a fan of Tea. I find her a very abrasive character.
As much as I loved OLTL, it’s not a good idea to “flood” GH with OLTL actors/characters although I’d love to see Tea mix it up with Alexis in the courtroom. Much more interested in seeing more of the original GH actors come back, like where’s Bobbi Spencer been hiding? Also, let’s see more Quartemaine’s (those who are left that is).
The idiots at ABC are trying to make up for the big mistake they made by cancelling the best soap, OLTL! But this isn’t good enough! BRING IT BACK!

Their two marriages were pretty much love – and sex – free, so now is NOT the time to try and make them a pair. I’d rather see KDP come back and fight through the differences to get back to Todd.

When I heard the news of Florencia Lozano’s return as Tea Delgado, I beamed of joy! Whatever her story line weaves into it’s sure to be an intriguing one! I can imagine with her wit and feistyness, her battle the courts with Alexis! Battling it out with Todd, of course. Supporting her girl Starr (You know she loves her Estrella). And could she be mixing it up any leading gems, I mean men? Maybe John McBain? And the obvious…Sonny Corinthos! Welcome Florencia, the arrival of Tea Delgado will keep us glued to our screens! Sigh..GH has got me smitten!

I am a general hospital fan for 49 years and I love all the one life to live cross overs ,not any different then newbes showing up ,there just the best from another soap keeping there same characters names,so what.the best soap that abc/disney never should have canned ,and abc knows it,thats why THEY are letting it happen.My friends from landview are mixing in well with my friends from port charles.Its must see tv and the one life to live fans well help with the ratings If the general hospital fans are pissed I dont get it they hate a few crossovers but were ok with the abusive mob stories that took over port charles for a very long time.Now that makes no sense.
I’m optimistic about the possible storylines this could open. I’d be up for the Tea and Sonny pairing. Anything is better than the dreadful Sonny/Kate/Connie mess.

i’ve been a GH fan all my life and i’m not paranoid about the oltl invasion mainly because its been balanced by the returns of old faves like anna, heather, felicia, robert and holly, and believe me with the old regime we would have never seen that many old fave return around the same time, so you know what, if they want to bring in a few oltl faves then i’m all for it, and i’m looking foward to Florenzia being in the mix, and yes, I hope she and sonny interact and team up to destroy Todd whom Tea hates. This is all so exciting !

I agree. I couldn’t respect the character of Tea if she slept with either Sonny or Todd. It would be disgusting, especially when she is supposedly pregnant with Victor’s baby. If you destroy a character’s history, what’s the point of bringing her to GH? Tea is her own woman. She doesn’t want just any man; she loves Victor.

I hope they don’t pair her with Sonny. While Tea getting involved with Todd Manning wasn’t the smartest idea (no woman should be involved with him, he’s a nut 🙂 ), I can’t see Tea getting involved with a man like Sonny – a mobster. I just can’t picture it. What about Mac? He’s not getting any love from Alexis and he really needs a good stroryline.

SO thrilled, excited, elated, joyful, and just plain HAPPY to see this news! Florenica is an IMMENSE talent, one of the best actors in daytime and Tea Delgado is an incredible character. This will do nothing but help General Hospital! And for my fellow Victor and Tea fans, lets keep the hope alive that these soulmates will get to reunite soon! I feel like TSJ’s arrival will be the next announcement 😉 As for the Sonny/Tea thing, absolutely not. First off, Sonny has enough women drama. Second, Tea would not be that narrow minded, and third, there is only one man for Tea and his name is Victor Jr. 😉 However, I am extremely interested to see her and Maurice Benard go toe-to-toe. I also hope this means that Nancy Lee Grahn and her will be sharing scenes 🙂

I think Tea will be an awesome addition to GH! Can’t wait to see her again! Now, it’s time to bring Victor jr back also! There is so much that can be written regarding the two Todds. They can work on their rivalry, they can explore teaming up to get Sonny. Trevor St. John was amazing as Todd all those years, so just imagine Sonny dealing with Todd x 2! And of course Blair needs to be there, to balance it all out. There are so many possible stories using those characters, the options are almost endless!

I was so happy when I read the story on my news feed on facebook this morning that they’re bringing my baby to Port Chuck, word to the wise, do not mess with Tea’ you hear me Carly! this girl will slap you silly. I’m also happy that ABC decided to cancel the Revolting and renew GH to see it’s 50th anniversary. ABC has made me a happy guy (sigh!) now if they’ed only bring AMC and OLTL back and admit they made a very big mistake.

Just read that ABC will put GMA-PM in the 2pm time slot until Katie’s show premires in September. ABC will then move GH to 2pm and Katie will be at 3pm. I’m all down with GH being put at the 2pm time slot, I just hope ABC doesn’t screw this up until I see it ,then and only then I’ll believe it.
I can’t wait to see Tea in Port Charles … she was one of the great ones from OLTL. I honestly thought she would be nominated for an Emmy this year; but was not on the list. Her love/hate history with Todd will want GH fans begging for more. It does not matter to me who she is paired with; her presence is enough.

After exciting morning for your favorite daytime stars when they were revealed to be nominees for the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards comes tonight 10th annual Daytime Emmy Nominations Special.
Beginning at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT, several of the nominees will talk with Michael Fairman on their reactions to the news they have been nominated for a Daytime Emmy, share what scenes they submitted that landed in the top five or six in their respective performer acting categories and much more.
Scheduled to appear are: Days of our Lives nominees, Tamara Braun (Ava), Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Linsey Godfrey (Sarah), The Young and the Restless nominees: Allison Lanier (Summer), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis), Courtney Hope (Sally), Bryton James (Devon), The Bold and the Beautiful’s John McCook (Eric), General Hospital nominees, Finola Hughes (Anna) and Alley Mills (Heather), and The Bay’s Mike Manning (Caleb).

51st Annual Daytime Emmy Award Nominations: CBS Soaps Score Most, Eric Braeden, Dick Van Dyke, Guy Pearce Receive Nods
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) have officially announced on Friday, the full list of nominees for the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
While Thursday brought with it four reveals of the nominees in the Outstanding Daytime Drama, Talk Show Host, Lead Actor and Actress categories (as presented by various entertainment news programs), today’s nominations include all the other categories not previously announced.
The Daytime Emmy Awards telecast is set to be presented live on Friday night, June 7, at 8 PM EDT /delayed PT, on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+. This will mark the 18th time that CBS has broadcast the Daytime Emmys.

In addition, The Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy Awards will be presented on Saturday, June 8 at t9 PM ET/6 PM PT and streamed on The Emmys apps and at watch.TheEmmys.tv. The ceremonies will take place at the Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles.
Television icon, Dick Van Dyke has received his first-ever Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Guest Performer category for his touching portrayal of Timothy Robicheaux on Peacock’s Days of our Lives. The nomination makes Van Dyke the oldest Daytime Emmy nominee in history at 98-years-old. In addition, motion picture and TV star, Guy Pearce, is also nominated as Guest Performer for his longtime role as Mike Young in the reboot of Neighbours.
Speaking of Neighbours, the Australian soap opera also received its first ever Daytime Emmy nomination for Daytime Drama Series now that its a revival can be streamed on Amazon Freevee. In addition, The Young and the Restless iconic, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) received his first Daytime Emmy nomination in more than 20 years in the Lead Actor in a Drama Series category.

In the Daytime Drama series categories, CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless each scored 12 nominations more than any other show. Leading the acting nominations was B&B, who landed 7 performers in the various categories, a first in its 37-year history.
In a statement, Adam Sharp, President & CEO, NATAS expressed, “We are happy to once again honor the creative talent both in front of and behind the camera of America’s favorite Daytime programs. We look forward to celebrating the icons who enliven the days of audiences across the country.”

Brent Stanton, Head of Daytime, NATAS added, “Producing the Daytime Emmys is a labor of love for all of us at NATAS. The huge popularity of these shows continues to be must-see viewing for their fans.” NATAS also revealed that Lifetime Achievement Honorees, Hosts, Presenters, and Silver and Gold Circle honorees will be revealed at a later date.
The Daytime Emmy Awards recognize outstanding achievement in television programming honoring work in a variety of categories, including daytime dramas, talk shows, instructional programming, hosting, culinary, and legal/courtroom programs. In 2021, NATAS and the Television Academy jointly announced plans to realign the Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards to be organized by content genre, as opposed to program airtime.
The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be produced once again by NATAS and Associated Television International (ATI). Adam Sharp and Lisa Armstrong are executive producers from NATAS, while David McKenzie executive produces from ATI.

51st Daytime Emmys: Outstanding Daytime Drama Series Nominations
On Thursday, the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards revealed nominations in several key categories via four entertainment news programs: Access Hollywood, E! News, Extra and Access Hollywood.
Three of the four announcements were major categories in the field of Daytime Dramas.
The nominees in the Outstanding Daytime Drama Series category are: The Bay, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, Neighbours and The Young and the Restless.

General Hospital won this category last year, and has the most all-time wins for a series in this category. For the first time, the beloved Australian-based soap opera, Neighbours is now eligible for competition due to its reboot which streams on Amazon Freevee.
