DAYS Favorite Judi Evans Diagnosed With COVID-19; After Horseback Riding Accident and Still In Hospital

Photo: NBC

It has been a very difficult year for Judi Evans (Ex-Adrienne, Days of our Lives) and we are sending so much love, and support that she rallies back from the physical challenges she is currently facing.  As fans of Judi’s know, she also lost her son Austin at the end of last year.

After suffering a horrible fall in a horseback riding accident on May 21st; where she reports say she suffered a broken collarbone, broken ribs, two chipped vertebra and a collapsed lung, Evans is now battling the coronavirus while she is in the hospital and she has been hospitalized for the past 23 days,

Her rep took to Facebook to update everyone on Judi’s condition sharing:   “I spoke to Judi on Sunday and she is STILL in the hospital – 23 days now and counting.  She contracted COVID-19 while there and she had what is known as the COVID blood clots in her legs and she nearly had both legs amputated on two different occasions. She had mild symptoms – fever, aches, a cough and the blood clots. On top of everything, when she went into surgery on one of her legs, they forgot to numb the leg and cut into her leg while she was fully conscience with no numbing of the area! However speaking to her on Sunday, she was in good spirits and back to Judi “humor” despite all these spiraling turn of events. She has said she appreciates all the prayers for her and they’ve helped her mentally, physically and spiritually! She just wants to continue to test negative on COVID-19 before she can go home and get the rest she so needs!!!

In addition, Soaps.com learned from the rep that Judi was scheduled for surgery on her ribs and lung since Tuesday but it keeps getting pushed back.

Please send your thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes to Judi via the comment section below.

Continued prayers for Judi & her husband!!

Prayers to her and her family.

I really enjoyed her when I watched Days. I’m so sorry to hear this news. Sending her lots of love and prayers for her rapid and complete recovery.

I’m so sorry Judi. Please get well ❤️❤️

I read this story in disbelief. You always hear people are never given more than they can handle, but…WOW. I have known Judi’s work since “Guiding Light.” I send her positive thoughts for healing, physically and mentally.

I hope Judi continues to recover from Covid 19. I wish her well.

omg my prayers are with Judi, this is just unfair.

OMG. This is awful news. I hope she gets well soon and can get out of the hospital. Sounds like things there are making it worse. Prayers.

I am sorry hope the both feel better soon. This virus sucks big time

Praying for you, get well soon Judi!

from the outset: ” I pray that this is not debilitating ”

Ms. Judi Evans’ your spirit and energy just Soar

a lot of fans were clearly hoping you were coming back as Bonnie. I hope that is still the case , in your future.

as for this double whammy w/Covid. Godspeed. “Please Lord God” “help and watch over”

Patrick I hope your troubles are coming to a close! We have decided we just can’t take anymore destruction of our country for whatever reason! You stay strong and god bless!

Praying for the Holy Spirit to lift you up and heal you. I pray for strength for your family.

Unholy shit!

Her real life in the last year is crazier than any soap.

I wish her well, but this apparently means we won’t be seeing Adrienne joining the ranks of Salem’s walking undead anytime soon, as has been the rumor in some circles of Hell.
Upside there is that we won’t be seeing Bonnie Lockhart either.

Get well Judi.

I was thinking the same thing, but most importantly is that Judi continues on the mend. How horrible, the horse accident and then that damn COVID-19 on top of that. How much can a person take? My prayers are with her and her family for a good recovery.

Will be praying for her we need to all get on our knees and pray to god that we as a nation can come together I have decided our family will close it down just can’t understand the hate anymore may god have mercy on our souls! God bless all of you !

Wishing you a quick recovery. Always loved your performances on “Guiding Light” many years ago. Bless you and your family.

Doctors dont forget to “numb” a leg. That would be Surgery 101.

She lost her son?????? How???

‘The Talk’ Renewed For 15th and Final Season to End in December; Does Its Cancellation Make Room for ‘The Gates’?

Things just got very interesting over at CBS daytime with the announcement today that The Talk is going to end its run on the network after its 15th season, and that season looks to be shortened as the series will come to its conclusion in December of 2024.

In a joint statement, Amy Reisenbach, President, CBS Entertainment and David Stapf, President, CBS Studio, shared, “The Talk broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format. Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe.”

Reisenback and Stapf added, “It goes without saying that hosting and producing a year-round talk show is no easy task, and we express our sincere gratitude to our amazing hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood, our Executive Producer/Showrunner Rob Crabbe and the hardworking producing team and crew.

Giving props to those who co-hosted or worked on the show through the years including: Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen Moonves, Carrie Ann Inaba Leah Ramimi, Marissa Janet Winokur, Holly Robinson Peete, Eve, Aisha Tyler, and Sharon Osbourne, the joint statement added, “We also want to acknowledge our former show hosts and colleagues who contributed throughout the seasons. We truly appreciate the skill, creativity, and dedication everyone involved brought to the show every day.  And of course, we thank the numerous guests who appeared, and the millions of viewers who tuned in daily. For the final season, we plan to celebrate the show and give it the proper sendoff it deserves when it concludes in December 2024.”

While no firm decision or announcement has been given at this time, it seems most likely that The Talk’s time slot could be given to the new soap opera in development The Gates from CBS Studio Ventures and from longtime soap opera writer. Michele Val Jean.  As previously reported, The Gates features the lives of a wealthy Black family who reside in a posh, gated community.

The Talk was originally the brainchild of Sara Gilbert, who had developed the show when it launched back 2010 and it replaced the beloved As the World Turns which went off the air after 54 years when CBS canceled it.

So, what do you think of The Talk being canceled? Will this make room for The Gates to begin to air in its spot beginning in 2025? Share your reactions to the news via the comment section.
