DAYS Marci Miller, Billy Flynn & Camila Banus Preview What Lies Ahead For Abby/Chad/Gabi!

Days of our Lives has just gotten juicy with the arrival of the believed-to-be-dead Abigail played by Marci Miller. The actress finally made her on-screen debut on Monday taking over the role previously played by Kate Mansi.

Now with Abby back on the canvas and returning to Salem, it sets the stage for a new love triangle between Abby, her formerly grieving husband Chad (Billy Flynn), and the apparently new lady love in his life, (who the character was involved with before) Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus).

Miller, Billy Flynn and Camila Banus chatted with TV Insider’s Michael Logan and shared teased some upcoming scenes and previewed this big story that is ahead for all of them.

Marci related just why Abby won’t tell Chad she’s alive yet, especially since she previously went cray-cray and vanished out of Salem: “Abby still loves Chad but she knows, deep in her heart, that it’s best if he never knows she’s alive. The last thing her husband needs is to be sacrificing his life taking care of a manic, out-of-her-mind wife, and she knows that’s exactly what Chad would do. He’s a good, solid, stand-up guy. She thinks she’s doing him a favor by staying dead.”

Meanwhile, Flynn explains it’s complicated now that Chad is developing feelings for Gabi: “Maybe it’s not that long since Abby’s ‘death’ but Chad’s grieving period really began much earlier than that.  In his heart, he lost her when she began losing her mind and went into the hospital. That’s when he started to release her. That’s when he started to mourn. If Abby and Chad were to get back together, he’d always feel he’s walking on eggshells. He wouldn’t be able to speak his heart, or have a disagreement or a fight with her, without worrying if it would make her crazy again.”

As for Banus’ Gabi in all of this, she dished: “Gabi still loves JJ to death and wishes he could be what she needs.  She’s had a rough time in life. She’s being neglected by JJ. He’s not there for her—physically, mentally, emotionally. It’s not like she’s planning to marry Chad, but she certainly deserves some happiness with him.”

So when all is said and done will you be rooting for Chad and Abby, or Chad and Gabi?  Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

#Chabby will always win in the end. They are meant to be forever, no matter what.

Well, to hear what Billy and Camila have to say for their characters, Chad and Gabi deserve each other for their selfishness alone.

Marci is already doing a fantastic job as Abby!

And that she is..owned it from day one..especially in the flashback with Andre

I agree, 4ever. I abhor cheaters. To me, Gabi is a cheater, even if said cheating is emotional and not doing the deed. Chad may not be a cheater, per se, because he believes Abby is dead; but, he knows Gabi is with JJ…..so……same thing!!
I believe that feeling ‘neglected’ is a poor excuse. Everyone goes through difficult periods….then, again, this is a soap.
I would love to see Chad with Abby. However, I think the PTB will tred easy on this issue; depending on their interaction…..how they fit as a couple. This is unchartered territory. So, perhaps a “getting to know ” each other ‘again’, as husband and wife is the thing to do.
As Inhave been saying, this love triangle/quadrangle is inescapable.

Agreed, 4ever Days!
The faked death kind of complicates matters…but Fans love all 3 characters. Why not just say, “o m g! The great love of his life is back from a faked death. He has started to move on with her bestie. What’s a guy to do?!?!”

Ya…Chad and Gabi will get close…Gabi needs someone to sleep with now she learned JJ cheated on her…maybe Gabs gets preg or marry Chad then Abs will realize she cant live without her Chad…its GABS VERSES ABS-who will win CHAD-lol

Gabi may have to run and hide from Julie, Jimmy. Gabi murdered Nick. Now, at one fell swoop, Gabi will hurt Abby and JJ! Slaps or busted kneecaps are on the way!

Lol IKR

Good premise, Jimmy. We shall see if Chad is worth fighting for. I could never understand the concept of “fight for your man”. If my husband hurt me in any irreparable way; such as cheating, or even having lukewarm feelings about another woman? It’s bye, bye for me.
But, you’re right…..there will be cat fights galore….the silent ones, albeit, 4ever’s depictions of smashed kneecaps would be a great comic relief.
I would love to see the typical soap cat fights!!!!

Nice to hear from you and 4ever one last time…forever grateful to Micheal Fairman for his brilliant job and hard work doing this site and bringing all us soap fans together…but i no longer will be posting or returning here…too much going on in my family and its become very depressing and stressful that its gotten too hard coming here and enjoying it anymore-crying as im writing this…thanks…and bye!!!

Keep your chin up, Jimmy. Things will work out. This is an outlet for and about escapism. This site may be what helps you get through rough times, so please consider sticking with MFS and your friends/fans, but talking to someone face to face about your troubles is crucial. Be safe, ask for help.

Sorry to hesr this, Jimmy. I wish you and your family the best of everything……have faith, my friend. Much love, Cecelia A.

I’m not buying Chad developing feelings for Gabi. After all the obstacles Chad had to overcome to finally marry Abigail, I don’t believe he could move on so soon. Yes, he believes she is dead. But, this should be a huge lose for him and letting go of her should be very difficult and painful. Also, he should be very cautious about opening his heart to someone else. Out of respect for his great love for Abigail, I hope they are at least going to show Chad being very conflicted about a relationship with Gabi. Gabi should also be extremely conflicted since Abigail was supposed to be her friend and JJ’s sister. Have some respect.

Great post, Llanviewer. I love positivity!!

Why are Gabi and Chad being painted as the bad guys here? Abigail asked Andre to fake her death. She’s the one who plans on continuing the lie. I get it she’s not in her right mind right now and that mitigates it in my mind. I personally want Chad back with Abigail and Gabi back with JJ. That’s a win-win in my mind but I just don’t think it’s really fair to villify Chad or Gabi. That’s my two cents anyway.

Hi, Troy,
I do agree to a certain extend, Troy. However, we must remember that Gabi has a very volatile personality. I wonder if she ended up with Chad; how long would it be before she tired of him?
As I said, if there’s no chemistry between Billy and Marci…..well, I, for one, would not want them as a couple.

Because Chad and Gabi come off badly? Abby is supposed to be the great love of Chad’s life but he moves on from her in 10 seconds and Gabi is supposed to be her friend but apparently will be with her husband even after Abigail comes back. And if Gabi’s love was so great how come she gets with Chad so fast? Basically they both sound shallow and insensitive.

I may be wrong, Nina, but I think that because Marci is a new character; specifically Abby, it would be kind of awkward for her and Chad to be thrown together, one-two-three. ( forgive my run-on sentence).
Marci and Billy need a grace period, of sorts. This Gabi business is designed for Chad and Abby to ‘feel’ their way around each other. Just a thought.

How about we have no villain here? Ultimately I would like to see Chad and Abby win out but I can see why things would go this way with Gabi. It is possible to have a triangle where no one is a bad guy, and I would love for DAYS to go that way with this story. Also, why are we leaving JJ out of this? Isn’t this actually a Quadrangle?

Billy fabulous actor. Camilla and him have it down pat but I want a Chabby reunion. ❤️ You all. Miller did an amazing opening. JJ and Gabbie

Would like Chad and Abigail to get back together.

Gabi deserves someone good and single and not a cheater. I don’t know if she and JJ can get back together. I never really bought them together. JJ’s whole storyline, with him being an instacop, has seemed very contrived.

Tell me about it, Mo. what a joke!! Just as Dylan on Y&R….instant robocop.

Celia…I get what you’re saying about the ‘Instant Robocop’ stuff. But…I (character-wise and all) find JJ to be A LOT LESS ANNOYING than Dylan on Y&R. But, hey, that’s just me.

Later, my friend.

@jaybird.
Hello, there, jay,
Yeah, I would have said the same thing, just a couple of months ago. You know how anything and everything Dylan did was irritating to me. And I certainly did not hide that fact. LOL.
But, Dylan stepped up his game. The actor’s head came out of the bag, as it were. I actually saw a personality emerging; just when he is ready to leave.
…..very disappointing for me, as I anticipated so much more from this character.
‘Nite, jay.

I meant Gabi, not Abby.

Hopefully, we won’t be seeing an unwanted return of Crazy Gabi again the last time she was involved in a love triangle with Chad.

On Friday, reports surfaced that Steve Kent, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming at Sony Pictures Television, is no longer with the company and overseeing the Sony soap operas, Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless.
