No thank you Michael. I don’t watch soap replacements shows.

What!?! No one from Days of Our Lives? Bummer!

Why isn’t Chandler Massey going to be on??? I only watch Days of Our Lives, so will not be tuning in for this. Unless Chandler turned it down, he should be on with the rest of the winners.

I watched and I thought I was going to cry. A show dedicating an entire hour to the Daytime Emmys (when they didn’t even win!), honouring the winners and gossiping about the ceremony’s happenings was so appreciated! Moreover, they didn’t spend the hour talking about GMA VS Today, the Judge shows or other talk shows, they mostly stayed on the topic of soaps and actors and I for one loved it! While it was too bad for any DAYS representation, maybe their strict schedules just couldn’t be adjusted to spend some time away to film on the show (though Deidre Hall was mentioned as “Best Dressed”). Great job The Talk and many thanks to CBS.

Sorry , but no show that has taken over the spot where a soap was will never be watched in my home, no matter who is on, all the networks killed the soaps so we should kill there afternoon ratings whether we watched or not. Daytime is for soaps not trashy, Talk, food, news, or that self help crap.

I’ve never watched The Talk and don’t plan to in the future. That said, I feel they need to be commended for having soap actors on as guests, especially the ones from ABC. At least they were willing to honor the Emmy winners and celebrate the soap genre. That’s a hell of a lot more than ABC has done!

I have to respectfully disagree with you Mary fergan, abc has had soap stars on there dumb shows, Laura wright showed up on the chew and we were not to happy about her little visit to a show that replaced a soap opera like the talk did, the talk replaced as the world turns, so no one should have showed up emmy win or not. However I do agree with you that abc has shunned the soaps and they are paying for it in the rating games.

I apologise, I did not watch As the World Turns, so I wasn’t thinking of that aspect of it. I was just making a point about how pathetic ABC is when it comes to promoting and congratulating GH, the only soap left to us on that network.

I never watched as the world turns either but I know a few people that did and they are crushed like we are, Until the soaps were canceled at abc I didn’t care one way or the other but now I feel different and feel any soap that was let go and replaced by a dumb talk, food, or news show I won’t watch no matter what network they were on. And I really wish the soaps stars would do the same, when they show up on those shows I could just scream at them nooooooooooooooooooo don’t do it, but some do and that breaks my heart because of our fight to save the soaps.

All I know is hes tears seemed genuine in that one scene with Geary brought me to feel Lucks intervention if I’m not mistaken for his dad.
Jackson drew you in and you felt that heart wrenching reaching out, you really did.

Christel Khalil (Lily)…please! She couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag!

Really enjoyed seeing Christel, one of the Best Actors on that horrid Dead Show Walking Y&R, along with Jonathan and Heather Tom on TheTalk! Smart move by the show to also have GH cast on, since neither of their Shows were Emmy worthy in the Writing/Production Department, but I would have loved to have seen Chandler as well.

More of the Story on ‘General Hospital’ Star Josh Kelly’s Latest Film Role in ‘The Workout’

We had previously shared that General Hospital’s Josh Kelly was taking three weeks away from his role of Cody Bell to a shoot a role in an upcoming movie entitled The Workout.

Josh originally revealed his role in the film during an episode of GH castmates, Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson’s (Spinelli) podcast.

Now Deadline has filled in some of the blanks, and shared some intriguing intel on the premise of the film and its back-story.  The film stars Kelly along with Peter Jae, and UFC Fighter, Ashlee Evans-Smith. Other cast members include The Bay’s Kristos Andrews.

In The Workout, two army rangers set out to create a workout video, but their plans are abruptly halted when a mob hit interrupts their filming. Tragically, one of the rangers loses his wife in the attack, sending him on a relentless mission to take down the mob and anyone who stands in his way.

The film from James Cullen Bressack, almost did not get financed.  Apparently, ten days before his birthday, Bressack made a post on Instagram about the feature and production, casting, and financing came from the post … illustrating the power of social media. After the post gained traction, a producer provided financing and actors expressed interest in joining the project, leading to a quick production.

In a statement, Bressack shared, “As artists a painter paints, a musician makes music, a writer writes, but as filmmakers we have to ask permission to create. It’s time to change that narrative. This film spawned from a necessity to create. We create. We tell stories. We play pretend. I’m excited to take this journey. This is the truest form of collaboration and a community of friends coming together to make something fun. While our industry has had a rough time recently with strikes and a possible strike looming in the future, it’s nice to remind ourselves why we got into film to begin with. To have fun telling stories.”

No word yet on when The Workout will be released.

So, looking forward to seeing this collaborative effort featuring GH’s Josh Kelly? Comment below.
