General Hospital
GENERAL HOSPITAL: Lulu Is Served Divorce Papers From Dante
On Friday’s episode of General Hospital. Lulu (Emme Rylan) was in for a shocker when she was served divorce papers while hanging out at Aiden’s birthday party. Prior to receiving the divorce papers, Lulu and daughter, Charlotte had been lamenting about Dante.
Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) asked Lulu when Dante is coming back? She says she misses him and being a family together, and Lulu sadly agreed she missed him too. When a stunned Lulu is served the papers, she tells her mother, Laura (Genie Francis) what they are.
So, what is going on here? We know that Peter (Wes Ramsey) got shot in the shoulder by Dante on his visit with Maxie (Kirsten Storms) to Ithaca to see him to hopefully bring him home to Lulu which backfired.
Since Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) is not on the canvas as a series regular at this point, it would appear that GH is looking for a way to free up the character of Lulu for now. But as we know on GH things may not be as they appear. Did Dante really have those papers drawn up, or is this some manipulation from someone else?
When viewers last saw Dante he was leaving Port Charles to be deprogrammed after suffering severe PTSD from his time in Turkey. In addition, viewers recently saw a potential new man in Lulu’s life arrive on the scene when former OLTL alum, Mark Lawson appeared as Dustin Phillips.
After yesterday’s episode aired, Zamprogna tweeted in response to the storyline twist, while having some fun about his former co-star Emme Rylan: “She’s gonna be damn heart broken! For at least 5 mins! Then she’s gonna knit something. Hopefully some underwear for Dante.”
So, are you upset that Lulu was served with divorce papers . … or are you glad and want the character to move on in her romantic life? Comment below.
It’s about time they move this forward. I hope Mark Lawson becomes a regular and later turns out to be Brody.
Who is Brody?
Brody Lovett from One Life To Live. That’s who Mark Lawson played.
Come back, Dante!!! Lulu and the fans need you!!!
If Dominic isn’t coming back they should just recast the role with Jeff Branson!
I love Jeff, Phil….but, two little people such as Sonny and Olivia could never produce someone who’s about 6’2″ tall. LOL….
However, if that were to happen, Emme is about my height and size—Jeff is a bit shorter than my husband—-yeah, the discrepancy in height is not so bad. LOL.
However, I want to ‘reserve’ Jeff for Y&R—he and Michelle Stafford created a lot of steam—-never have I seen two actors be so in sync as ‘paramours’.
Who ?
Yes. Glad that they are removing him this way rather than killing the character off.
Since they didn’t really write for Dante DZ’s last two years on the show, this is an acceptable plot. I’d say the character would return eventually, but he’s likely to join the Jeff Webber/Frisco Jones/Lucky Spencer deadbeat dad club should he ever get through the PTSD.
I don’t like any of the mob BS of GH. Never have been a fan of Sonny or the murderer Jason Morgan (Quartermaine). But also not a Dante- Lulu marriage fan.
I loved Jason Quartermaine, myself. “The Enforcer,” not so much. One note character.
Then why do you watch??
Agreed❤️
I just want the Lulu character to move away. Far far away.
YES!
I disagree
The problem with Lulu( at least for me) is that she sparks no pity ….no matter how emotional she gets, I can’t seem to respond to her ‘hurt’ feelings. Au contraire, Davy, I hurt watching her. Bad acting!!
I’m glad she’s moving on.. Everyone loves her character.
Also, can you please give Michael his baby, you dragged the stupid story line on for a year, it’s sick…and please, please, please stop talking about Oscar and wimpy weird Kim, it’s driving me nuts.. These are the story lines that everyone hates!! Trust me!!
Its time for Lulu to move on. Mark Lawson and her had awesome chemistry! If not him…someone else. Her and Chase have a certain chemistry. And…just a question? Why does everyone in Port Charles get shot in the shoulder with no damage? Do these shooters aim for the shoulder?? Jason and Sonny have been shot 27 times each, several in the shoulder. Shootings have long since lost their dramatic impact on soaps…but especially when they are shoulder wounds! And what kind of gunshot requires NO surgery whatsoever? Not even a stitch?
Actually the REAL questions here are:
1) Why would Dante – who is supposedly admitted to this high security WSB facility for PTSD & other associated mental issues – be allowed to have a gun on him while he was in treatment?
2) Since he DID have a gun, shouldn’t his aim have been better? A trained WSB agent (and former police detective) should have been able to shoot Whiny Heiny and make it count.
I hope so, Colin. I am a fan of Emme, but her emulating a grieving, shunned wife is not credible to me. I do not feel her. Too much time has gone by since Dante left—-
But, I do agree with you about Lulu and Mark….there’s something there. Mark is awesome; so the PTB should go this direction.
We need a new storyline for Lulu—without a tangible plot, I see no use for her, at this point.
No. If Dominic isn’t coming back, the character of Lulu needs to move on. Dante was such a decent character I can only imagine it was difficult to find a way to write him out without killing him off. Still, it’s sad all the way around.
I’m so SICK of good strong couples getting ripped apart. There’s ENOUGH BAD stuff on soaps and in the world. I WISH they’d go back to how it used to be Alice and Tom Horton on days and Edward and Lila Courtermain on GENERAL HOSPITAL !!!!!!!! NOW THOSE WERE SOME GREAT LOVE STORIES IN THE AFTERNOON❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well, to be fair, it’s not like Edward & Lila had the “ideal” marriage either. If they did, there would be no Jimmy Lee Holt, or the Ward branch of the Quartermaine family tree.
I’m a Lante fan and I think its time for Lulu to move on. She can’t just wait forever for him to come back. I would love to see her go on a date with Dustin again. I love Lulu and I want to see her happy again. Please give Lulu the happiness she deserves.
Sad about dante but if hes that dangerous maybe lulu needs to move on? Idk.
Don’t kill Dante off bring him back at some point.
Kill off Shillo enough is enough
I’m really not invested in the character of Lulu like I used to be, and I think that has a lot to do with Emme Rylan’s portrayal. She’s a good actress, and was great on Y&R as Abby, but she seems miscast in this role. I would have rather seen her join the show as Serena Baldwin. Julie Berman will always be Lulu to me, and I wish she’d return.
As for the storyline, it’s a shame that Dom Z doesn’t want to return full time because writing Dante off the way they did is a huge disservice to his and Lulu’s relationship. It seems like they’re setting Lulu up to be free for a pairing with Mark Lawson’s new character, so it will be interesting to see the chemistry they have. But does GH really need another new character right now, with so many stories still in need of a resolution?
Lulu has been insignificant for quite a while…
What does she do outside of her being annoying with Maxie.. that reporter thing she has going is stupid.
She should have left with Dante, into the sunset somewhere.. that would have been a happy ending for both.
Totally agree!
Glad Dante is finally freeing himself from Lulu. He never should of been with her in the first place, he always deserved better than her. Now if Dante comes back, even as a recast0 give him a good woman to be with this time. One worthy of him.
Let her move on with a shocking twist with Valentin.
Buh Bye! Bye Bye Bye! Adios! See Ya Later! U get the idea
It’s time for Lulu to be able to move on. Dante will be missed though
I think tom from guiding light should be a good dante or a even a different character and be a good match together with lulu
I don’t want Lulu and Dante b t being to get there they make a nice couple
Yes!!!
Lulu will turn to Peter for comfort…Maxie will find them in bed together…Dante is locked away somewhere with Frisco and Jeff in Never-Return-Land…
