GH Preview – Week of June 18, 2018

This week on General Hospital, as Carly (Laura Wright) is being drugged up with anti-psychotic meds at Ferncliff, it’s Jason (Steve Burton) to the rescue.  Carly’s bff finds a way to infiltrate the state mental institution. Meanwhile, Carly had been talking to Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), who says he will help her through her ordeal emotionally.  But is Carly really seeing Kevin, or is it just a figment of her imagination?

Elsewhere, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) seeks out her ex Julian (William deVry) as she tries to come to terms with the root cause of her issues with the men she chooses to be in her life.  Julian, who has gotten closer to Kim (Tamara Braun), now has a chance to try to help Alexis and make up for the ways in which he hurt her.  Could this be the beginning of the patching up of Julexis, or the final straw?

Sonny (Maurice Benard) has just learned that Mike (Max Gail) moved the body buried at Croton. Where did Mike take it?  How will this have future implications?

Here are more teasers for the action coming up on  GH:

MONDAY JUNE 18

Obrecht covers her tracks.

TUESDAY JUNE 19

Nelle reflects on her past.

WEDNESDAY JUNE 20

Michael confronts Chase.

THURSDAY JUNE 21

Nina demands answers.

FRIDAY JUNE 22

Valentin’s romantic gesture back fires.

So, what story point are you looking forward to playing out this week on GH? Let us know in the comment section below.

I just want to see Nelle get what she deserves. She should go to Ferncliff and Carly should get to come home.

Nelle vs Mary Pat. Now that could be interesting.

I am hoping Carly was actually talking to Kevin.

No she wasn’t, surprise! Don’t want to give it away, although I bet a lot of others know what I just found out.’Maybe there will be some news here next week.

Of course, Jason will somehow someway rescue his damsel in distress Carly.
It is what he was created to do, rescue Carly and he will not disappoint he will rescue her, it’s his job lol.

I hope it will not take Jason 3 months to rescue Carly, sigh..

I want Nelle dealt with and caught for lying about the fall

None

Can’t wait!

I want to see Nelle taken down and Jason getting Carly out of fercliff

Please let Nelle get caught and free Carly. Please

“Be Strong ; Stay Focused ; Go Home ” is Carly this week, Little Dorothy ? i was cracking up @the Head Nurse in Charge . NOW she… was Funny… as Carly tells her she wants to be a little STAR. no sooner was it … yes it’s possible.. that we could rung out some thing emmy worthy for Laura Wright’ Carly. but no… it’s going to be Jason to the rescue as he’s the new Janitor. looks like Mike is going to NUT UP for the cause. it’s the WIERDEST THING …. I felt nothing… not one ounce of care.. as she sat in her bed… chanting…. “Be Strong; stay focused; go home ” how can the GH writers get us to ever care about Carly ???? she’s nothing but loud obnoxious… with not a care in the world.. for any one but her immediate family… which is not much… thankfully we do not have Dante and MOrgan to lean on… they were the best part of this family. Carly has no ROOT Value

Agreed. Carly is a text book narcissist with no redeemable qualities. Wright plays her as being loud, obnoxious, stomping in and out with a hair flippin’ attitude.

Hmmmm….we do think alike, many times, Patrick.
Coincidentally, we used exactly the same phrase….” Jason to the rescue”. I said the same thing on the June 11th thread.
What I don’t understand is how Carly has become the heroine/damsel in distress.
Perhaps I am watching a different show….But, what she and Sonny did to AJ was so remarkable, it is hard to digest all this adoration and adulation towards this entitled Prima Donna.
I remember the episode so well, Patrick….I guess it’s because I was new at GH. Love Laura Wright….dislike Carly immensely.
I also suggested that Kevin was not Kevin, but his evil brother?.
I don’t know that guy….was not watching during that ‘era’, but I did hear about that psycho.
Did he know Jason? If not, then my theory goes down the tubes.

Hey, CeeCeeGirl! Where have you been? Alright, I hope! Anyway, I once used to really champion Laura Wright regardless of my ever-growing distaste for Carly, but since she’s been responsible for bringing her real-life boyfriend to the GH canvas, my tolerance for her has been greatly diminished. She has worn out her welcome…However, in terms of Kevin, I think it would be a laugh riot if Ryan were to resurface in Port Charles and take over Kevin’s life….provided Laura is not in the mix and could be hurt by it! I think it would be especially comical if he were to be the one guiding the gullible Alexis through her “therapy,” since no person in their right mind would think that sessions with Julian would be a positive thing! Of course, this whole scenario is only designed to shove these two characters back together again in order to justify a reunion in the guise of him “helping” his ex with her clearly messed-up psyche. Regardless of the phony-baloney machinations they devise, it is still going to be a nauseating exercise in futility in a gross attempt to sanitize this disgusting pair and placate the rabid “Julexis” fanbase.

Hey, there, Shaybelle…..
After our ten-year anniversary ‘bash’, my husband whisked me away to my favorite city, ‘N-Ahhlins ( New Orleans) for a few days. I missed my kids so much….had never left them for so long before.
He surprised me—had a band, dozens of friends and family members—
Great music, Shay…My favorites…..Queen’s “You’re My Best Friend”, “First Time Even I saw Your Face”; George Michael’s version….Jude even sang LADY ( Styx), WICKED GAMES ( Chris Isaak) to me.
Glad to be back with my babies…..LOL.
I am glad you see Alexis’ naiveté , Shay. I think she has such a big heart and her goodness obfuscates her wisdom, sometimes. I have made a complete turnabout where she is concerned. Such warmth and smarts should not be wasted on Julian. She needs true love for herself, not just for sex. His mediocre prowess ( LOL) never impressed me, albeit his impressive backside. HaHa.
As I had intimated, I question the writers’ quest. They seem to constantly engage in perpetuity, albeit irreparable damage was done to Alexis and their relationship, as far as I’m concerned. A very perilously circuitous road.
A therapy session with Julian? Right?? I don’t know, Shay.
I hope TPTB don’t visit that precipitous alliance again.
I beg the soap gods to give Alexis a ‘cool’ head. Protect and conserve her heart and brain!!
This Ryan ( Kevin’s brother) person resurfacing would be interesting. After hearing many of the posters’ discussions on him, I just had a feeling when he appeared in front of Carly while he was supposed to have been with Alexis.
I am probably wrong since the time span on soaps is “unconventional”, to say the least…..
Why does Jason have this sick intimacy with Carly? Why the ‘connecting’ looks…like lovers!?!?

NOLA???? Laissez le bon temp rouler! And it sounds like they did….awww, congrats to both Jude and you, CeeCeeGirl!…That surprise celebration was amazing….whatta guy! It’s funny that all this transpired over the last week because I was just listening to GM’s touching version of “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” in a mix of my own old favorites and I thought of the two of you! Coincidence??? (I also LOVE Styx’s “Lady”….) Anyway, I’m so glad that the reason for your absence from here was such a joyful one…wishing you many, many years of future love and happiness together! At any rate, I don’t know that I am necessarily looking upon Alexis in a sympathetic light…I’ve always felt she was a complete pushover for bad boys, and for me, it was a personal and moral failing on her part…I simply cannot relate to any woman who lacks strong self-esteem and common sense in spades…..if we don’t possess those two vital characteristics, nothing else really matters! However, I am finally gratified that there is a therapy component to her tenuous existence…it has been sorely required for a very long time! Still, I’m not convinced that this course of treatment is going to lead to any great path of self-discovery if Julian is brought along for the ride….sounds more like a fast-track to the same old, same old relationship h#!! for which this femme is so famous. Only time will tell. I also concur that Ryan would add a wonderful element of mirth and mayhem to this mix…I, too, was wondering about the “real time” aspect of Kevin’s seemingly simultaneous presence at both GH and Carly’s “Casa de Loca,” but I suppose that was more merely bad continuity and editing as opposed to a true clue that Ryan is back in Port Charles!!! I do wish it were so, though…I was not all that privvy to most of his wild antics, but the ones I did witness were pretty epic! He would provide a fabulously fun twist to the storyline…and put the real “psych(o)” into “psychiatry!” My only caveat is that if Laura does indeed return as promised…and that is a huge “IF!” to be sure, then I should hope she would not be made to play the fool or victim in this scenario. As for the whole Mike-Sonny deal with diasapperaing bodies???..I am so disgusted by the presence of the “Dimpled Don,” that even Wojo cannot make him palatable for me….I skip over anything related to him. And I know I not alone in that practice…LOL. Later, mia amica…and welcome back! You’ve been missed!

Thank you, Shay….
I love New Orleans. Each time we descend upon that bustling, colorful city, I force Jude to visit at least one alligator farm with me. We take the tour….not that I enjoy the droning guide’s voice, but, I have no choice, right? LOL.
I am fascinated by the crocodilian species….since I was ver young. Go figure!! LOL.
As far as Alexis, I must agree with you where Julian is concerned. The writers are soooo working this therapy stuff ad nauseam.
As I said from the onset, the idea was borne for one reason only; that is, fuse these two back together again.
Nonetheless, if the writers are smart, they will steer clear from having such disastrous thoughts…
It seems to me that TPTB would be speaking from both sides of their mouths if such should come to pass.
Here is Alexis, trying so very hard to find herself….what would be the point? A path to futility, as you suggest.
I feel for Alexis….only because I know, in my heart, that SHE has a good heart. I think her open emotions make her vulnerable.
I have yet to catch her in a lie, Shay. And, she is no hypocrite. Mostly, she does not ‘glorify’ herself; if that makes any sense.
I like her demeanor, as of late.
Sonny Boy?? Hmmmmm. I am so afraid TPTB will push him and EH ( new ADA–forgot her character name) together, as a couple. The thought simply makes me want to regurgitate.
Please, no!!
As yourself, I do miss Laura……Will she ever be back?
What a great plot would it be if Laura finally comes home and, voila’, it’s Ryan ( unbeknownst to her) waiting for her?
Bonne nuit, chere, Shay….

Hmmmm….sounds like Jude should add “Crocodile Rock” to his repetoire! Lol…but okay, CeeCee, if you dig crocs (not the footwear….) then whatever floats your boat! And here I was planning to ask if you had visited Oak Alley Plantation! My all-time favorite boss lived in NOLA immediately after her college graduation and her most raved about place was this Antebellum attraction! She said that it was just like stepping back in time and that she attended many beautiful events at this venue and they were always so elegant and gracious!!! I don’t know if you are aware, but DOOL’s Bo and Hope even had a storyline based at this famous location back in their heyday, and it was simply breathtaking! Come to think of it, I’d love to see Anna and Finn do likewise, since I think both of them possess that timeless quality that makes for successful period actors….I know, I know, they are not your cup of tea! Oh, and one other soapy footnote regarding New Orleans…I recall an ABC made-for-tv movie featuring Susan Lucci called “French Silk” that also took place in the city….it was a real slice of life in that unique locale, and the plot was rather intriguing, too! Not sure if it’s available online, but I think you would it enjoy it! As for Alexis and Julian, I think we both realize where this therapy-induced scenario is headed…to an eventual denouement of sex, sex and more sex!!! Yes, their eternal boinkfest will be back on track in all its pukeworthy glory, with no great psychological breakthroughs to accompany it. Oh well, it’s certainly not unexpected…just as Sonny possibly cavorting with yet another clueless chick who falls for his so-called charms…been there, done that…too many time before! Color me bored with just about everything GH currently has to offer! Maybe they should consider a trip to the crocodile farm to liven things up….Hey, how about if that were Liesl’s next stop with Peter….sounds like snappy fun to me! Later, mia amica!

Oh, boy, Shay….not you , too!! LOL.
You know how many times I’ve been called weird for having this thing with crocodilians?
There is a very scientific explanation…the .crocodilian ( including crocs, gators, caimans etc) is a living dinosaur. I am awed by this fact!!!!! Amazed!!!!! There are only two species of Alligators—the Chinese, and the America.
The crocodile comes in many names…..the biggest is the saltwater croc….then the Nile etc.
The shark and the platypus are two others…..imagine, Shay–500 million years ago….
I do realize that little boys indulge in such a subject…..but, amid frills and bows, mascara and lipstick, this little girl loved anything to do with science…. prehistoric life—including the ameba. LOL.
Yes, I have toured the oak-lined long drive of the Oak Alley Plantation (with, also, endless cypress)….among other plantations.
And, “let the good times roll”, indeed…..love the clubs; not into jazz, at all…but the ambience is to die for….
As far as I am concerned, Alexis and Julian are a thing of the past. They belong there…..thus, I hope and pray Julian and Kim stay together.
However, I must confess, I love the easy banter between her and Drew.
The best thing which could happen, ma belle amie, is for TPTB to strike such an infallible sexual attraction between Drew and the ADA ( still can’t remember her name), as to blow our collective minds. ” Reunited And It Feels So Good”!!
NB—for interest sake, Shay–“I’ve heard it through the grapevine ” ( Ha!!) that the person doing the banging in the room next to Carly’s is?? Yup. Morgan!!
Arrivederci Roma, my Shay….. sung by an oldtimer-Italian-singer ( one of the country’s best, I have been told), Claudio Villa. Great rendition of GRANDA, too. LOL.

No,no, CeeCee….I would never mock your many intellectual pursuits! I’m in awe of the gift you possess for the sciences…be it in physics, paleontology, or whatever…you never cease to amaze me! I was simply a bit surprised by the choice of pursuit when in NOLA…it’s not exactly what initially comes to mind when one considers the landmark attractions of this historical city…just glad you enjoyed your trip! At any rate, it’s abundantly clear that as a couple, Julian and Alexis belong to the past, but it appears that the writers think otherwise what with their concocted machinations to put them back together….still, we can see that it is indeed going to happen, just as surely as a runaway train that will eventually crash. So be it….we can always say we told you so when this time around the dancefloor proves no more successful than before. Anyway, I’ve yet to watch yesterday’s episode, but I have a few ideas as to whom could be Carly’s “next door neighbor.” First of all, please let it NOT be Morgan….he is best left dead or at least MIA, so my leading candidates would be either the real Kevin Collins kept hostage by his crazy twin bro, Ryan, or how about Faison???? If either brother rescued him from his so-called “death,” this could be where he was stashed for safe keeping….or what if Liesl were responsible for his imprisonment at Ferncliff? That is an entirely plausible scenario, especially given her current “Peter Project!” Lol…Regardless, ‘twould be a delight to see that “Demented Dane” again! Of course, another superb character due for a GH comeback is the formerly ubiquitous Heather Webber….she was always lurking about in the shadows waiting to pounce and provide a spanner in the works for some Port Charles denizen, so why not now? She has been oddly quiet and AWOL for far too long…..something has to be up with this beloved, BLT-crazed loony lady, and a forced incarceration in a padded cell at the hands of some mystery man (or woman?) could be just the necessary explanation. Then again, could the long-lost Prince Nicky be the “Prisoner of Ferncliff?” Hmmm…my only desire is that the identity of the “Mysterious Morse Coder” be a truly wonderful and shocking surprise reminiscent of the sort of plot twists for which GH was once known and applauded! Alas, only time will tell, CeeCeeGirl….Later, mia amica!

I was kidding, Shay!! LOL……I know you would never think of me as weird, as by siblings do, LOL. Bizarre, is what they, actually, call me. They equate my thinking to that of Greg Gutfeld’s (do you watch his show?).HaHa…..
I thank you for your oh-so-very complimentary words.
I have lost count of how many times I have been to NO…..I’ve seen it all—love the French Quarter—-I never tire of going.
Have you ever been? Mardi Gras is the most fun time to visit.
The same as Florida—-I always find time to tour multiple alligator/crocodile farms. Last time I visited, there were a few albino-hatchlings. A wonder for moi, gross for someone else…..it is what it is, bell’amica..
Faison?….that would be wonderful!! How about Nathan? Obviously, a recast.
I won’t even dwell on Julian and Alexis. The point is moot, right?
All those characters you mention would completely do me in—-in a good way. Seeing Heather with Liesl would add something so very devilishly demonic to the ‘brew’…
Nikolas? Hmmmm. Good point. I wasn’t too fond of him….but, hey…..come on in!!
Maybe, they’re all at Ferncliff. Imagine that!! The only patients!! Including Hayden. HaHa.

You are so right about that, CeeCee! I consider you to be uniquely fascinating…with such a delightful melange of interests and aspects to your multi-faceted personality! As for Gutfeld….Oh sure, I have watched him…the last time was when you gave me the heads-up about Sean K.’s appearance on his show, so if he makes a repeat engagement, please let me know! But yes, Greg does make me laugh! (So, how much coffee do you think this high-octane dude consumes in any given day???) I find Judge Jeanine much the same……that booming voice and her take-no-prisoners attitude are both refreshing and hilarious! Especially when she takes her shtick to the streets! However, generally speaking, Tucker is my main man….I just love him and his frequent guest Mark Steyn, too…sooooo witty and urbane! They are my mainstays, although I also enjoy Sean and Laura many evenings, too. Must remain in the know, you know!, Alas, it’s a no, no to NOLA! Never been….despite the strong historical draw for me, the other specifics of the location hold no appeal….the cuisine (save for the beignets and po boys, but no Creole/Cajun for this girl!) and the hot, steamy temps are huge turnoffs…that whole bayou thing is not por moi…including the crocodiles! Lol…(Your son must love the fact his mother is into such “gross stuff” though…) Just vacationing in Florida a few times was sufficient for me to realize that the Deep South and I are not compatible… (I’m a creature attracted to the cooler climes of the Northeast and Canada….not this weekend though! AC at the ready!) Regarding Ferncliff’s mystery resident, there are so many great choices to consider……maybe it’s even Luke…not that I would be all that thrilled by the prospect of his return to Port Charles, but anything’s possible. (I suppose it could be Robert, too…Tristan Rogers is set to be back soon…Just no Hayden…please!) Having said that, it would be too much fun if the place were filled to the rafters with all these legacy characters we’ve been wishing to see again, although I rather doubt such a feat would be on the cards, what with all the annoying newbies currently on parade..Maybe Julian and Alexis should be locked up together in a padded room there to continue their “therapy!” Of course, the resulting carnal explosion of such an arrangement would be wholly predictible, but as long as those two are kept away from the prying eyes of polite society, who really cares what they get up to…they deserve each other as far as i’m concerned! Finally, I so enjoyed Liesl’s “storytime” with Peter…she really knows how to make a tale come alive!! That’s what I’ve been waiting for…the unhinged Obrecht as a singular force of mayhem and revenge against Faison’s son…sorry, mia amica, but Nina’s repeated intrusions into her aunt’s den of torture simply kill the twisted joy for me! Later!

Hey, Shay….
Sorry it took a while to answer….recital night….all my nieces and my daughter ( have you ever watched four-year-olds on stage dancing?—-cutest thing).
Love Gutfeld—-funniest libertarian…..I watch all of them, time permitting.
Laura, for sure….Judge Jenine, always!! ( Saturday night is the night, when home).
Tucker? Hmmmm. I don’t like how he laughs in guests’ faces…..say what he must, but STOP ridiculing.
Also, he always has a puzzled look on his face.
Love Hannity, but he interrups too much.
Watching TV has become sort of pitiful…..I am happy watching ‘old’ shows. There was some level of respect for each other, regardless of one’s political views. It has gone too far. I want to cover my ears and scream; SHUT UP, ALL OF YOU!!
You know, amichetta? You have a point about Alexis and Julian…..As I have said, I do like Alexis, as the strong, determined woman; advocator of truth and justice. She must use this wisdom ‘pon herself. Julian will never attain that lofty place of trust and integrity for me.
Therefore, if the writers see fit to turn Alexis’ head again? Then, yes, she and Julian belong together….their fate sealed in hell ( do not relish using that word, but the shoe fits).
Ciao…

PS. Shay,
Aren’t you sick of the disappearing body-act? If it were not for Mike, I would FF any scene with Sonny….but, I enjoy watching every word spoken by Mike….his every nuance is a pleasure to see.
It would be great irony if Julian found the body buried somewhere under Charlie’s. Stick it to the make-believe Don Corleone.

Maybe Carly was really speaking to Ryan Chamberlain in the psych ward. Remember when General Hospital had good storylines, that made you want to tune-in? Storylines that touched your heart about relationships, friendship, and real social issues? Now, we have “actors” being hired in the parking lot because their girlfriend has a continuous need to prop them up. No thanks.

I sort of hate that Chase was involved with Nelle, but if he is, I hope he’ll handle it better than he has so far. We need a good guy to root for (enough of Sonny!) and I really like Josh Swickard. Also love the Drew & Oscar scenes (how adorable is Oscar?) and that the Sam & Jason obsession has been proven the bore it really is. Heck, even Jason is keeping as busy as possible and is more fun sans Sam. Regarding Ferncliff, I have only one comment: more of the wonderful Patricia Bethune as the the Nurse Ratched wannabe Mary Pat. She’s a hoot!

you are not alone in thinking, that. SOILED… “no” do not let it be… END THIS… it’s over. this is just another Frank Valentini way of keeping Nelle …. alive.. god his rational thought process… ??? is not all their. Nelle has been written in to a corner… heck… even if I was a sinister as Nelle character… I’d at least show her screaming at the walls.. just how dull Michael is. oy! Michael is acting all suave and in the know.. isn’t he ???? where does he get off… he’s the same no matter how every one else turns… same old Michael.

Chase , thus far, was on fire; with Molly Burnett. that’s it… enough to want to give Molly Burnett a job

Chloe Lanier.. is so filled to the gills.. Corinthos’… that I just have no interest in her character at all…. CAN SHE KILL MICHAEL… so we can have another couple of years with Carly mourning… i’d go their

especially about the Nurse Ratched wannabe… “I” laughed wholeheartedly. WAS so disappointed in seeing “Jason” that same day… knowing.. the fun in watching Frank Valentini PET Laura Wright’ Carly.. NOT NUT UP . or act… emmy worthy… is a moot point. Frank Valentini sole focus are ALL missing in action with no depth. they are all repeatedly put in one story after another.. that that could be their let.. paycheck… they just don’t care. however you jumble this mess. it’s the dullards who surface day in and day out… with no root value.. cheer … or want to care about.

Sonny / Carly / Finn /FRANCO / Michael / Nelle/ Sam / Jason / Peter August

where is the depth.. emotional trigger… nothing to hang on to in this show

I will say one thing… WOWSAH didn’t James DePaiva’Dr. Bensch, look menacing alive and searing… WOAH . it’s still a dumb story… because alas.. we are going to see Griffin and – I cant stand it – Franco to the rescue.

Frank Valentini – STOP – your madness… Franco and Finn NEED TO GO.. just as you should be fired.

What too many have forgotten–
Alexis stabbed Julian in the back, to kill him.
Alexis ran Julian over, to kill him.
Julian held a knife to Alexis through but he did Not harm her.
Seems to me that Alexis is the dark one.

I like Julian AND Alexis but, you do realize that Alexis accidentally ran over Julian while she was inebriated (and he was running toward her) and she stabbed him in the back after he had a knife to her throat and was fighting Sonny?

And, you also realize that Sonny stopped Julian while he held a knife to her throat? (I’m not convinced Julian would have harmed her; thinking he would have attempted to stage it for his cray-cray sister Olivia’s eyes) but still…

hi rebecca..
thing is BOTH have done near death stuff to each other.
Neither actually killed each other LOL
They are even-up, one is no better than the other..
And still– Julian is the one that was stabbed (not Alexis)and run over (not Alexas) Julian got the worse of it all.

Alexis was madly in love with Julian. Everything she did was in self defense. No comparison.

Alexis didn’t set out to hurt Julian. The “stab” was after he held a knife to her throat and was then fighting with Sonny who saved her; the second she was already afraid of him, he was running after her and she pulled out not realizing he was by the car. I honestly don’t see a comparison. You’d be a horrible juror for a person up on a charge of murder when it was self defense! 😉

Dear Rebecca1, I’m torn on Julexis. Liked them together but like Julian without her, too. But… are you watching NASHVILLE? Show is falling apart. Hardly any music and obnoxious new people (with the exception of the lovely, underrated Mia Maestro as Rosa). What’s happened to our beloved show? They’ve made Will into the new Rayna…The person everyone confides in and fixes things. Chris Carmack is really shining but the others are adrift.

Hey, just like in Hollywood, the old double standard!

Absolutely, Timmmbo…and not just in Hollywood/Port Charles either! It’s everywhere these days….

Oh Joss, watch your back. It won’t take Nelle long to remember that you picked up the stuff, that fell out of her bag. She’ll eat you alive, look what she’s done to the rest of your family. You stood up for her, against your mother, calling her your friend. Naive little girl.

I love Drew Cain. What a shame TPTB don’t on GH. I was so excited when he was about to get his memory back and now nothing. They occasionally trot him out to talk to Oscar and that’s about it. I thought Guza was bad shoving his pets in our face, but now it’s just as bad. If Billy is planning to leave, I hope another soap snaps him up.

I agree, KMB. But the day Billy leaves, so do I. I adore Chase but Billy’s acting really moves me and GH needs to give him more emotional heavy lifting. We need it and he has proven he can run with it.

Yes, yes, and yes, Soaphound….my Billy doth make my heart flutter.
…..about Alexis and Julian? I looove Alexis–without Julian. Her brain isn’t afflicted by cobwebs when ‘standing’ outside of his looming, dark shadow.
Whatever she did against him was BECAUSE of him. He forced her to choose the bottle …..became her best friend…..
I will never accept his explanations….wittle baby boy awfwaid of his wicked-witch sistaw.
So, TPTB may very well stop trying convincing the viewer. I am sure many want them together…..so, just do it and be done already. It’s painful to watch…..always an excuse to walk into that demoralizing establishment.

Celia, demoralizing is a generous word for that dive-ola. But wait, Sonny says it’s the new hot spot (how would HE know?). They must be grading on a curve. And let’s face it, Julian is just a booty call for Alexis. I must say, though, given his looks and her erratic behavior around him….he must be REALLY GOOD. Just saying.

Yeah, it’s the new hot spot, alright…..the “UNburied” guy from Croton-on-Hudson, of which Mike dug up, is BURIED somewhere under/in the walls of Charlie’s. LOL.
Oooh, yeah….Julian must be really good—-just look at Kim… She looks as satisfied as a purrrring tabby, licking her paws while poor Alexis’ eyes look hungry!!
I hope my new favorite girl does not slip up …..not fall into the chasm that is Julian.

It is a bit disheartening to see a mental health institution being portray in such stereotypical way–but beside that, I am starting to get a weird vibe around Dr. Collins, like he might be in cahoots with that nurse–I don’t think he is going to the friend Carly is hoping he will be– and sorry Jasam fans– it looks like they might be building up to a Carly Jason pairing– not for the long haul, but I can see with his siding with her and Sonny not believing her–then being put into this “dangerous situation”– some kind hook up might be inevitable with those two

Nancy Lee Grahn’s Star-Studded ALS Fundraiser Reveals “I’ll Be There” Video Featuring Soap Opera Notables

Talk about your impressive line-up! It’s a soap fans dream and for a great cause. General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) is prepping her one-night only ALS fundraiser which will feature many of her friends and co-stars.

The benefit is set for May 4th in Glendale, California. Slated to participate are Genie Francis, Jane Elliot, Peter Bergman, Maurice Benard, Eileen Davidson, Thorsten Kaye, Michelle Stafford, Stephen Nichols, Rena Sofer, Jason Thompson, Kelly Monaco, Melissa Claire Egan, Maura West, Kristina Wagner, Gregory Harrison, Trevor St. John, Kate Mansi, Kirsten Storms, Cynthia Watros, and many others.

On Wednesday, Grahn took to her social media and released an “I’ll be there” video shout-out featuring, Monaco, Elliot, Bergman, Bernard, West, Harrison, St. John and more. In a touching and important moment in the new video, Michelle Strogny, who is battling ALS, is featured.

Previously, in speaking with Soap Opera Digest on the impetus of the event, Grahn recalled, “I was actually doing Zoom events during Covid and I met this woman that I just fell in love with, Michelle Strojny. At the time, Michelle had been living with ALS for four years. Now, it’s five years. She is a mom of a teenage son, she has the most wonderful husband, and she has been dealing with this [disease] for quite a while. And obviously, there isn’t a cure yet. It’s not survivable yet. But as she says, it’s not incurable. Nothing is; it’s underfunded. But anyway, I just really dug this woman. She is so grounded and filled with grace, and she spends all of her time working to raise money for the cause. We did a fundraiser for her last year and then I thought, ‘You know what? The soaps don’t ever get together to do something for charity.’ Collectively, we have this amazing community and we don’t collectively use it for a good cause, and I think it’s such an easy thing for us to do and we could potentially really make a difference.”

‘General Hospital’ Writer Shannon Peace Let Go, and Shares on Sprina: “One of My Only Regrets is to Not Have the Opportunity to Develop That ‘Ship’ Further”

As General Hospital’s new head writing team of Elizabeth Korte and Patrick Mulcahy gets off the ground and running, there are still changes a foot on the writing team.

Now comes word via breakdown writer Shannon Peace that she is no longer on contract with the long-running ABC soap heading into its 61st season. Peace shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram, thanking the fans, and the show for the opportunity and the importance of diversity in the writers room.

Peace began, “After almost 3 years on staff and 106 episodes penned, I am no longer on contract with General Hospital. Writing for this country’s longest running television serial drama has been an education of epic proportions; I will forever be grateful that I earned my WGA card on a daytime fixture that holds memories for so many.” (Peace pictured below with GH EP Frank Valentini and script writer, Charlotte Gibson from about ten months ago).

Shannon added “Even more importantly, as the sole Black breakdown writer (and only POC in the writers room) during my tenure, I pushed for vital interactions and discussions that prioritized inclusion, visibility, and representation”

The writer pointed to the example of vital interaction when in story, “Stella and Portia’s frank July 2022 conversation about the role race played in Esme’s framing of Trina is just one example of the impact I’m gratified to have had.”

Acknowledging former GH co-head writers was also part of Peace’s farewell expressing, “Appreciation to my former bosses, Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor – not only taking a chance on me, but for valuing my opinion and championing my voice.”

Many GH fans know that Peace was key to the development of the love story between Trina Robinson and Spencer Cassadine as played by Tabyana Ali and Nicholas Chavez. Shannon gave a special shout-out to ‘Sprina’ fans, “I also want to thank fans who were supportive of my work, especially the recognition of my love for ‘Sprina’. One of my only regrets is not having to develop that ‘ship’ further.”

She concludes her statement with,”In the aftermath of a historic writer’s strike that shed new light on the troubling ways writers are regarded in daytime, my sincere hope is that General Hospital recommits to valuing staff writer efforts and input, with a more intentional focus on diverse viewpoints — and thrives for another 60 years.”

Accompanying her post, Shannon added, “Thank you all for the love and support these last few years. I hope GH fans get all they hope for and more!”

So, what do you think about GH not renewing Shannon’s contract? Will there be more continued changes afoot? What do you think is the future of ‘Sprina’ anyway at this point as viewers wait to see if Nicholas Chavez officially returns to the show?  Comment below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Learns Britt Died and Tells Anna He Has Been Working For Cates Since November 2021

On the Tuesday, March 26th of General Hospital, Anna (Finola Hughes) and the viewers learn about where Jason (Steve Burton) has been for over two and half years. However, Jason gets some news of his own.

Anna is visiting Jason at the PCPD interrogation room. She asks him if he shot Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), which he flatly denies. Anna believes him, but she tells Jason it doesn’t matter, because video footage shows him on the roof at the time of the shooting

When talk turns to Jason not willing to speak without his lawyer present, Anna can’t grasp why Jason would instead spend an hour alone talking with John Cates (Adam J. Harrington).

It is then that Anna brings up that John went by “Jagger” and that the two of them knew each other in high school. Jason doesn’t recall much of his time in high school following his brain injury, but then he gets furious realizing John knew about “Jason’s” past. That is when Jason slams the table and tells Anna, “I’ve been working for John Cates since November 2021.”

Next, Jason explains further that he has been working as an informant for the FBI. Anna wants to know how this came about and he tells her that after the tunnel collapsed, and he couldn’t make it to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud)… all of a sudden he sees Anna’s face drop.  Anna is the first person to tell him that Britt died and was murdered. She tells Jason the killer is in custody, but he continues to be shocked, overwhelmed with tears welling up in his eyes. Realizing he has to pivot to save his life, Jason continues telling Anna how he wound up working with John.

Jason explains that after the tunnel collapse in Greece, FBI agents grabbed him and placed him under arrest and took him to Quantico where he met John. At Quantico, John played a recording of RICO violations and offered Jason a deal if he agreed to be an informant against Pikeman, the illegal arms dealer.

Anna hears from Jason that he thinks Pikeman is selling illegal arms to anyone flagged by the NSA but has ties to the WSB which they needed a civilian to infiltrate their organization as a military soldier, a mercenary.

Jason tells Anna he was a part of the team brought into eliminate Sonny (Maurice Benard). Every time an attempt was made on Sonny’s life over the last two years, a different team was sent to do the job. Anna gets furious when she learns that John told Jason his job was to kill Sonny and she was with John at the warehouse that night. Jason ensured the sniper missed Sonny and left the rifle behind. However, they were supposed to meet an extraction team. Before he was shot, Dante saw it was Jason on the roof and when he turned around with his hands over his head, Dante was shot by the other guy. Jason says if Dante dies, he’ll be charged with capital murder and then will be useless to the FBI.

Meanwhile, John visits Bobbie’s and runs into Carly (Laura Wright). She learns Jason is in custody and is going to head to the PCPD. Before she does, Carly has some words with Cates when she learns not only does John have a vendetta against Sonny, but Jason too.  Carly tells John he should recuse himself from the case.

So, what did you think about the moment when Jason learned Britt died? What do you think of Jason’s return storyline thus far and what we learned about Jagger/Jason and more? Comment below. But first, check out a moment from today’s GH with Jason and Anna.
