GH's Kelly Monaco Safe For Another Week On DWTS All-Stars! Two Former Champs Sent Home!

In last evening’s Dancing with the Stars All-Stars Results Show, General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco (Sam) and her dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy were announced “safe” in the double elimination round, which sent former DWTS champs, Drew Lachey and Helio Castroneves home!

What again was most shocking from a dancing stand-point, was that Bristol Palin remained in the competition over these two gents!

On next week’s episode of DWTS All-Stars, Kelly and Val will have to put together a contemporary dance routine, after each one of the couples selected a dance for the other, in another twist on this season’s competition.  In addition, Paula Abdul joins the judges table next week!

Monaco spoke to ABC Soaps In Depth after the results were announced and after she found out she would have to do a contemporary dance routine next week, stating,  “There’s not a lot of technique to it. It’s very interpretive.”

Kelly admitted she preferred to play a character in her dancing than be herself; which adds an additional wrinkle for her next week:  “I like to tell other people’s stories.  I never like to tell my story. My story’s a closed book, so it’s going to be really difficult for me to emotionally invest in something that’s me. It’s going to put me in a very vulnerable position. It’s a journey of who you are and letting it out a little bit. You think you know me. You have no idea!”

So what did you think of last night’s Results Show?  Would you have voted off Drew and Helio?  Let us know! And keep watching Kelly each week and rooting her on! Remember to vote!

I am sick of Bristol and her “luck”. How is she still on this show? I really hope we do not have a repeat of last time where she some how makes it to the final two…It is odd I kind of like her but her keep sliding by while others who are better are kicked off makes me dislike her.

Bristol isn’t lucky, the premise of the show is for viewers to vote for their favourites, not who is the best dancer. People have favourties for different reasons other than their dancing. The producers chose her for the all star season because they know she is controversial, and generates buzz for them. And I bet some vote for her just for the fun of watching her be safe while others go home. Remember this is a competition between fans as well as dancers, and whether we think it fair or not that is part of the show. Bristol’s fans beat out Drew and Helios fans fair and square. Next week who knows and that is part of the fun of watching. If you are not having fun watching, because dancers who are talented aren’t necessary the favourite go home, then maybe it is time to change the channel .

I could not disagree more with you Mary. This IS a dance competition and should be voted based on dances. I also agree with LeeAnne, it makes me question the truth behind the counts. Did you not see the other dancers standing next to her when it was reveled that she was safe? They were just as shocked as I was. I am just saying it really takes away from the show to have someone like her go home before others do.

I never said it wasn’t a dance competition, but it is a dance competition for entertainment purposes, it is not the Olympics for ball room dancing. Part of the entertainment process includes enjoying real bad dancers as well as the good ones. This isn’t the first season deserving dancers went home before not so deserving. I am not Bristol fan. I don’t think she should be there either if dancing is the only thing the producers were promoting, but they encourage viewers to vote for their favourite, they don’t say please vote for the best dancer. So I am not going blame Bristol or attack her personally as some people do just because her fans are doing what the producers say to do, which is vote for their favourite. It all for fun, it is not a serious dance competition. Everyone gets pay the same, no careers will be destroyed or made, like Idol. It is all for fun.

I just feel that for those who can dance and work their butts off to do a great performance it is unfair that she seems to slide by all the time. I am not attacking her personally either. But on that note, what has she done in the first place? I watched her “show” and was turned off by her and her views on most things. Bottom line, she can not dance and that is why I think most people watch the show entertainment or not it should be based on the dance performance.

Well that is a bit of an assumption don’t you think, implying she doesn’t work her butt off to give the best performace for her skill level. If she is indeed slacking off , not making a real effort, like Billy Ray Cyrus did a few seasons back, then yes then it is unfair that people who want to be there leave while those who don’t care stay. As I said earlier the producers chose her because she brings buzz to show, people seemed to really like her or really hate her, but either way DWTS is talked about. I respect your opinion it should be about the dancing yet experience has shown people vote for who they like regardless of talent. All I can suggest is what the producers want is for you and everyone who hates Bristol to vote for someone else and hopefully she will go home next week

I am shocked that Bristol remains on this show and makes me wonder if the votes are counted honestly. Certainly she has not been kept on because of her dancing skills. The level of competition is so high on the all star season and to be honest, I questioned whether Bristol should have been added to the cast because she definitely did not fit the “all star” definition. Helio most definitely should still be there dancing, possibly Drew as well.

I think Kelly did FABULOUS and deserved to stay. I think Drew and Helio are better than some others and should not have gone home.

I am also even more interested in seeing Kelly’s dance next week now!

I am thrilled tht Kelly and Val were safe, but considering how well they did this week, I truly hoped that the voters would be intelligent enough to keep them in the competition. Unfortunately, I had a feeling that Helio would go home, and I worried that Drew might too. I do not believe that either of them deserved to go home this week, as their performances were leaps and bounds better than some others, but sadly, there are voters out there who continually vote to keep people in who do not even belong on this All-Star Season, let alone remain in the competition longer than Helio, Drew and Joey Fatone too. Don’t get me wrong, I do see an improvement this season in how Bristol Palin dances in comparison to the last time she was on the show, and the same with Kirstie Alley, who is also so funny and entertaining (not to mention good for her for getting out there when she is a lot older than many of the all stars this season), but the perormances are to be rated on their dancing abilities, and many people do not vote that way. I understand that everyone is free to vote for whomever they choose, but way too often the best dancers go home too soon. I wish Kelly and Val continued success, and keep up the excellent work of giving us beautiful performances each week. I look forward to seeing their contemporary performance next Tuesday.

Drew goes home and Kirstie amd Bristol dont? Come on, folks, r u blind?

everyone is better than Bristol! I think the viewer votes count too much – I bet her momma is twisting the arms of the entire tea party and republicans in her pocket voting for her daughter…. and obviously it is NOT based on dancing skills. She better be out of there by next time! Drew and Helio are in a completely different league as Bristol – she’s not champion skill level at all!

General Hospital’s Adam J. Harrington Weighs-in On John and Carly, and How it’s ‘Starting to Get Very Complicated”

On recent episodes of General Hospital, Carly (Laura Wright) came to John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) rescue as he was beaten down in an assault. Carly put on her “nurses cap,” sort of speak, and got John to his hotel room and watched over to him, to make sure he didn’t lose consciousness.

GH fans also got their first glimpse of what may be a new romance for Carly, if she and John continue to bond.  If John and Carly were to have a relationship, it would certainly have a ripple effect with Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard).

Adam J. Harrington shared his view on the scenes and what might be next between the two. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Harrington shared, “I thought it was written in a way where there’s an understanding and a respect between them both. I don’t think there was any moment where she was not aware that he’s an FBI agent, and there was no moment that he wasn’t aware of her history and relationship to other people in the town. I really liked it. I was really looking forward to shooting it with Laura and we had a really nice time shooting it.”

When Carly and John part ways, it seems there were some romantic sparks, as Harrington puts it, “Isn’t that interesting that sometimes with people, the one moment they actually show how they feel is when they know there’s an escape hatch. They know they’re about to walk away. So, it’s almost safe in that moment to do it. I thought that was really special about how (the writers) handled John and Carly. Even the music in that scene was beautifully done.”

Where is this all heading? Conflict! Internally and professionally, and as Adam explains, “Who Carly was to John on paper as just a tool to be used as bait is starting to get very complicated.”

What would you think of a John and Carly pairing? Would you prefer him with Anna, or neither of them? Let us know via the comment section and take our poll below.

General Hospital’s Steve Burton Reveals the Emotional Scene He Almost Could Not Get Through

On a recent episode of General Hospital, Jason received a message from his mother, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) via a note. The effect it had on Jason’s portrayer, Steve Burton turned out to be quite visceral.

As GH fans know, although Jason’s bio-mom was Susan Moore, he was raised and adopted by Monica. Speaking on his Daily Drama podcast with his co-host and GH co-star, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Steve shared some insight on the difficulties he had getting through that scene.

Burton shared that in the key moment, “Brooklyn (played by Amanda Setton) came in and that’s where she gave me (Jason) the letter from Monica. That was a very hard scene for me to do. That was a tough one. That was the one time I was almost going to call ‘cut!’  It read ‘Jason, I believe in you.’ I was literally going to walk off the set.”

To clarify and in the story, Monica was saying “I believe in you” and that she knows Jason didn’t shoot Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Steve added, “It was tough, man. Emotionally, it was a tough scene. It was overwhelming in the moment.”

Steve went on to detail to Anderson, “She (Brook Lynn) pushed it to me and I read it and she was walking out and I had to stop her, but I was so emotional I couldn’t even get it out.  And at that point, I’m like, ‘Do I just keep going … or do I just walk off the set right now?’ But, I knew just to stay, because it’s so hard to get back there, once you shut it down. I knew, the next take wasn’t going to be the same.”

It’s clear that Leslie Charleson is so missed on-screen as Monica by all of her castmates, and that Jason and Monica had a very special mother/son relationship throughout the decades on GH.

What did you think of the moment when Jason got a note from Monica that said, “I believe in you?” Were you touched as well? Let us know in the comment section. You can check out the latest episode of Steve and Bradford’s podcast below.

Coming up, it looks like Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) grandfather, Carmine Cerullo is headed to Port Charles.

According to casting news from the ABC soap opera, George Russo will take on the role. Russo will tape his episode next week on April 15th and will appear on the May 15th episode of the long-running daytime drama series.

Longtime GH viewers will recall that Lois’ (Rena Sofer) dad, Carmine, was previously showed up in Port Charles on and off from 1994 to 1996 and was played by John Capudice.

Clearly, it seems that Carmine will be a part of Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s wedding.  Will it go off without a hitch? Are you looking forward to it? Stay tuned.

Who else would you like to see attend the nuptials? Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta), any other blasts from the pasts who should be present? Let us know in the comment section.
