Photo: JPI

Fantastic news General Hospital fans! Daytime Emmy winner and longtime fan favorite, Jane Elliot is reprising her signature soap role as Tracy Quartermaine just in time for the holidays.

According to EW.com who broke the news, Eliot will make her appearances beginning in December, when Tracy comes home to Port Charles, and is embroiled in the ELQ family business.

Elliot’s last episode on GH aired May 4, 2017 when Jane made the decision to  to exit.

Her character left Port Charles by telling her family she was ready to have her own life, away from the shadow of her father. A later episode revealed that Tracy settled in Amsterdam after meeting up with Luke (Tony Geary).

Jane began playing the role of Tracy back in 1978.

So excited to hear Tracy Q will be home for a visit and to stir up some trouble? Comment below.

Looking forward to seeing her!

I can’t wait! Tracy and Jane have been sorely missed. The Quartermaines need her to shake things up in a big way.

I loved Tracy. She was a great actress. Hated seeing her go, but 39 yrs WOW. It’ll be nice seeing her again. Hoping she livens it up a bit.

Whoa!! Best GH news I’ve heard all year!!! Can’t wait…and welcome back!!

Love Jane Elliot!

So excited for her return. she is always such a fire.. welcome home. Even for a min.

for how long…show wasnt the same when she was gone

is it a visit? or will It be for a run? whatever the reason talk about early xmas gift, she looks great in the pic above love the grey hair. she’s totally rockin it..

the pic from EW.com I meant the one above she looks good too, lol, Im so excited.

Even a couple of Christmas episodes will be worth it. Jane is brilliant and fun, and has been missed.

Oh my god!!! This is GREAT news!!! I am so excited and can’t wait to see Tracy/Monica scenes!!! This made my whole year!!!

YEA!!!

What would the Hellidays be without a good old fashioned Q family verbal throwdown?

Any chance Luke comes along for the ride??

Jane is not ‘returning 🙁
She’s a stop in to show us what we’re missing.
Somehow, it’s not right without her love Tony..
What would be awesome great;
Tracy and Luke together in love and happy..
that ^^ I’d really be excited over 🙂

Yay! This is the best news. Love her❤❤

Great news of her return! I missed her tough character and snarky remarks with occasional vulnerability to be compassionate. Welcome back Tracy.

Great news! Finally something to look forward to.

It’s a Christmas miracle!

Should be some great banter between Tracy and Brook Lynn. Love that they still have Setton referring to her as “granny”.

It’ll be a great time in Monica’s house, which Alan gave to her (because he was an idiot).

great great news

OMG!!!Thank you for the early Christmas present!! Love, Love Jane Elliot!!!

Merry Christmas! I dont see her being on too long, after all, she is retired. I just hope she stirs up some trouble and rectifies some weak cracks in the great Quartermaine legacy! Her and Ned are always great. She will chew Brooklyn a new you know what! Tracy never liked Louis. Oh, and send Mikey to the coffee house! He is no ELQ executive! Leave that to Ned! PS: Maybe Jane can comeback part time and be more of a Lila type of fixture?

Well this should be a real treat!

I hope she brings jars of Pickled Lila and Artisan crackers. LOL. That was the most stomach turning story line watching the actors scarf down relish on crackers. For months.

Love Tracy, love Jane Elliot. So glad she’s dropping in Port Charles for however long her visit lasts. GH has missed her trademark wit and sarcasm. She looks fantastic with her grey hair in the current pic of her in the EW article. It’s refreshing to see an actress of a certain vintage that isn’t concerned with trying to look younger than she is. Welcome back, Jane!

Yes! But how long is Jane going to stay

Cannot wait. Great news.

Can’t wait to see Tracy and all the trouble she is going to stirup, one of my favorite Quartermaine, welcome back Tracy we miss you.
