Days Of Our Lives

Is Jade Harlow OUT At Days of our Lives?

News this afternoon has that Jade Harlow, who just recently started airing at Sheryl on Days of our Lives may be off the NBC soap opera!

This comes as a bit of shocking news since last evening On-Air On-Soaps spoke with Harlow at the ISA Awards red carpet where she teased to us some upcoming story.

However, Daytime Royalty and through Harlow re-tweeting some tweets from fans who are upset that she may be out at the soap and pleading NBC and DAYS executive producer, Ken Corday to keep her on the show, leads one to believe this is sadly true.  Daytime Royalty said, “Jade Harlow’s stint as Sheryl Connors comes to a close in the next few weeks. Look for Sheryl to last air later this month.”

What do you think if Harlow is already out at DAYS?   Let us know!

I thought Sheryl and Lucas were going to become a couple and finally give Lucas a storyline of his own…will she be killed off in a plotline connected to Jordan and her brother or just leave town after finding out Kate and Lucas were just using her…maybe Lucas and Kayla can become an item…or does Lucas leave town with Sami who breaks up with E.J. after learning he bedded Abigail…or does Sami go to prison after being falsely accused of murdering Nick Fallon who was really killed by Percy?(thats if Nick is really killed off)

Not related to the topic, but did you catch the reference to Carrie at the wedding today? We finally got to find out she had her baby and it was a girl—it was driving me nuts that they never mentioned her and that kid on air—perhaps they did before and I missed it but no one seemed to know what she had whenever I asked– so the mystery is solved, now I can sleep at night LOL.

I missed it…i was listening while making lunch but thanks for letting me know…i remember you asking that some time ago…the wedding was a suprise twist…nothing happened to stop it!!!

This is disappointing because I like her and Lucas together. She might not be the most interesting or intriguing character, but I like Sheryl and Jade Harlow. I hope this isn’t true.

Great news, I never liked her character at all. please don’t recast, its a waste of time. Bring back.
Bo Brady.

Her character was a total bore!

She wasn’t on long enough to make much of an impression . I always thought she was short term anyway…brought on only as a means to an end in Kate’s obsession with getting dirt on Jordan.
I agree she might have been good with Lucas, but they never really developed that, so she didn’t have much else to do.

Awww I Liked Sheryl on DAYS what the hell are they doing this what of been a Beautiful Story to develop for Lucas & Sheryl come on DAYS & Ken Corday bring her back thats what all of us Fans watching we thought this was a Love Interest which all of you stated you guys were having Lucas appear more & a Love Interest This is sad Ken Corday pls bring Jade Harlow back … We know Allison Sweeney is Leaving . This what of been a great story for Lucas when Sami Leaves !!!!!! Its funny where the #1 Fans watching DAYS here seeing whats happening & all of sudden it changes ….. I really don’t think what there Writers & Ex are watching what where seeing on the air which Characters are Developing it s sad …..

PLEASE BRING BACK JADE HARLOW !!!!!!!!!! pls

Well if they kill her off, it will be a waste. She’s more compelling on screen than the actress playing Jordon. I’ve never understood the appeal of that actress. And the Jordon story has been the one glaring clunker on DOOL in the last few months. I want to like the story but it goes nowhere, makes little sense and has been brought to a new low with the addition of the hair model playing Ben. Jade should have played the character of Jordan!

I so agree with you! In fact, Jordan is making me totally bored with Rafe too!

Wouldn’t surprise me. The character is dull and not very well developed. Plus, I’m not a fan of Jade’s acting at all. I say let her go and forget about her character, for good. Take Ben with her, too. He’s as dull as an unsharpened pencil.

I never really thought she was going to be long term in the first place– she was a character created to drive the Jordan plot further along- not a character in her own right and story. Her usefulness is done. I imagine she will find out about Lucas and Kate using her to get to Jordan, quit and leave town.

As for Jordan, please move that story along– I am not one for rushing stories, but this one is moving a bit too slow even for my liking.

“Oh, NO”

why?

she was SO too good… with, and, FOR Lucas

isn’t he the man lately…..

there was instant chemistry and a liking for Sheryl.

I hope it’s not true

loved the possibility and potential of good story with this ooh la la pairing

she’s Sexy!

“this just bites”

I don’t know her work… on Passions

so, I viewed her as … a newbie

and her scenes with Lucas… were interesting, natural, welcoming, and you just had to know.. things were on the cusp….

HEY! it was Lucas turn… to real…. reel for us… the audience… and it was FUN, a treat.. and delish… to see Lucas… ON….

Sheryl had all the bearings…to further elevate the younger cast… to more than carry the show… bam! Period.

I can’t get frustrated… that the “more” popular characters are driven… but… it’s a Treat to know… that Talent… is ready and able to feature

Sheryl was one of them….

I look forward to scenes with Aiden, T, Sheryl, Jordan, Theresa, JJ….

I hope the writers’ find ways to bring Lucas, back

I would look at Sheryl… the actress… and she’d remind me.. a little bit… of

Melissa Gilbert
and the lady who shot JR – Kristen. Mary Crosby

just a hot tamale

“OH, god”

I’m venting, now….

dissapointed…

assessing fan posts: for how long she’s been on… and it’s not that long… the majority instantly felt a connection to her and with Lucas… heck… I even thought… she could be paired with Nick.

just instantly, likeable… and an obvious connection to the audience… which is further proof… she had the potential… to take DOOL places

rescind your decision… she’s a KEEPer

didn’t she ooze sex appeal…. LOL… you were happy for Lucas getting

Not the end of the world if she is, but Lucas needs a story and a love interest! I’d take her even though I have no loyalty to or interest in the actress or character whatsoever.

Today’s episode was so neat!!! I love my Days!!!!!

Who the hell was she? Oh. Jordan’s friend. Yawn. Didn’t even realize she wasa contract player.

She wasn’t a contract player.

I hadn’t been familiar with her work and assumed she was a short term character but the episode I watched today (I am several behind) where she was talking to Nick about mock-ups and Lucas told her not to deal with Nick ever again I watched her facial expressions and was somewhat impressed. She really brought Sheryl’s vulnerability out. You could she into the character a bit more…that she was worried she had done something wrong and was afraid of possibly losing her job as well as a relationship with Lucas. It might seem like a small thing but when so many actors use what I refer to as “stock soap facial reactions” hers seemed genuine and refreshing.

It would be nice if they took the time to develop the character. And, I agree with others that Jordan is borderline boring. I really don’t care all that much why she has so many identities and while it is a good thing that Rafe has a relationship I really liked he & Kate together and hoped they would continue showcasing that relationship.

nice post.

see.. I totally agree with you, about Sheryl… her nuanced deliveries… the natural repartee with Lucas… simmering sensual Sheryl… she is HOT to look at – cute

I’m starting to agree about fan take… on Jordan… inasmuch as I absolutely, loved her, on AMC… she’s nice to look at with Rafe.. but they need to jump start her now…

I LOVED Rafe and Kate… if all else fails with Jordan… then going back to Kate would be oh so fine with me.

I’ll try one more time… Sheryl and Jordan as newbies for DOOL really did and do have potential… they’re not as flat as other characters on GH and Y&R.

Sheryl could have been good nemesis for Jordan, Theresa, Abs… she’d have one upped.

dang it!

They haven’t really been giving her story so not totally surprised. If they gave her something to do, it’d be fine, but Paige seems to have more to do than Sheryl.

ok. enuff of the b.s. with these useless b list characters. liam, Jordan, Sheryl? ( I fast forward these scenes) !
give jen and doc dan a vacation, or at least give dan a haircut seriously!
And bring back the bradys already!! Now with Sami out, have Lucas and her ride off in the sunset with their clan. In their place bring back Belle, Shawn D, Carrie and the hot Austin.
Days stop filling airtime with nonsense newbies.

“… Now with Sami out, have Lucas and her ride off in the sunset with their clan. In their place bring back Belle, Shawn D, Carrie and the hot Austin”

Excellent idea

I thought i read somewhere that when Jade Harlow joined DOOL as Sheryl it was just going to be for a few months.Plus since DOOL tapes 3 to 4 months in advance then Jade Harlow’s last scenes were taped awhile ago if she’s going to last air later this month.

I wanted her with Lucas, but maybe now he can get back with Sami

sad she is leaving…kind of liked her character…..wish she could stay and start with younger generation…..

I really like Sheryl with Lucas, they had a lot of potential. I’m truly bummed about that she is leaving. I hope they leave an option for her to come back. They better have plans for Lucas, because he is the main reason I watch. If they do put Lumi back together, they better keep Lucas. Let Sami “die” or disappear after they hook up again. That is my hope….

I agree I always thought she was short term. If she was not suppose to have been short term then they botched her character badly. Agree also she and Lucas had no chemistry. Unfortunately, most of that has to do with her character’s styling. Her hair is too long and a horrible red color. The clothes they put on her made it looked like she shopped at Goodwill. I mean that statement as no disrespect to Jade (who is lovely & I liked in Passions), nor Goodwill or it shoppers. lol This woman should be dressed like she has a little more money than that. Anyway that is my take on it.

I was hoping she would be on longer and possibly be with Lucas long-term. Too bad the show could not develop a more interesting story for her. Maybe if enough fan interest ( tweets and emails) the show could bring her back.

I hope Sheryl comes back! JH has great chemistry with everyone!!!

The character wouldn’t on long enough to make a impact would of been nice for a love interest for Lucas!! But I am rooting for a Lucas and Jordan relationship!! Rafe and Nicole hmm sounds good!!

Days Of Our Lives

Stephen Schnetzer Talks On His Return to Days of our Lives and Working with Susan Seaforth Hayes In Emotional Episodes

Who says you can’t go home again? In the case of Another World favorite, Stephen Schnetzer (ex-Cass Winthrop), he has proven that it is true, and you can go back to your soap roots and where it all started for you.

Last week on April 11th, Schnetzer, along with several other key returns were on set at Days of our Lives taping all-new episodes of the Peacock streaming soap opera, centering on the funeral of Doug Williams (the late Bill Hayes), and as part of the iconic soap opera’s 15,000th episode.

Stephen is reprising his first daytime role as Steve Olson, the brother of Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). The last time Schnetzer appeared on a DAYS set was during his one and only run on the show from 1978 to 1980. Clearly, viewers will be in for some very emotional scenes when Steve returns to Salem to be there for his sister, Julie in her time of need. In real-life, Susan has been going through her own grief, having just lost Bill back on January 12th at the age of 98.

Photo: NBC

Michael Fairman TV caught up with Stephen during the 15K episode celebration ceremony, and during a break from taping the gut-wrenching funeral scenes, to get his thoughts on being part of these highly-anticipated moments that will air later this year in December. Here’s what he shared with us below.

What has this been like for you to work with Susan Seaforth Hayes after all of these years?

STEPHEN: She’s a dream and she’s so bright. We ran lines yesterday and we ended up just visiting for about 45 minutes and just catching up and telling tales about each other’s career. She even dropped off the autobiography that she and Bill did. And being back here at DAYS, every time I turn a corner, there’s another familiar face. When I was on the show 40 more years ago, a bunch of the guys, played softball on a team together. This is really a trip down memory lane as I knew it would be.

Photo: JPI

Taping Doug’s funeral must be a hard day for Susan. Are you checking in with her to help hold her up through this?

STEPHEN: I am and I’m checking in with Amy Shaughnessy (Susan’s assistant), and she’s holding her up more than anybody. We’re there for each other.

There will obviously be some major hankie-inducing moments when Steve comes back to Salem to console his sister.

STEPHEN: Oh, wait till you see it in December. It’s going to be great.

Were you surprised you got this call to come back to the show decades later?

STEPHEN: It was out of the blue! I was completely surprised. They should have called me decades ago! That’s what surprised me. When Another World went down, I thought I’d land somewhere else and it never happened. That was more of a surprise.

Photo: JPI

Cass is such an identifiable character for you. As well, you and Linda Dano (ex-Felicia Gallant) are so synonymous together as best friends Cass and Felicia from Another World. When fans heard you were reprising your role as Steve Olson on DAYS, they are now hoping there will be more of you on the show to come.

STEPHEN: Steven Olson is a real “Cassian “character. I cut my teeth on Steve Olson and that’s how Cass was introduced. He was kind of a roguish charmer. And then when the character stuck for Another World, they rehabilitated me, and turned me into one of the shows heroes. And that’s what would’ve happened if I stayed as Steve Olson probably. So, Steve is the ‘pre-Cass’, Cass.

Photo: JPI

As the story goes, you originally decided to leave Days of our Lives?

STEPHEN: I was never on contract. I was doing a day and a half a week and I got a Broadway play directed by Franco Zeffirelli starring Joan Plowright and Frank Finlay. I was able to it as I didn’t have to break a contract or anything. I cut loose and went back to New York for that.

How well did you get to know Bill Hayes during your first time around on DAYS?

STEPHEN: My first episode was with Bill and Susan, as her long lost brother coming into Salem. They were so good to me. They were so kind. I had been doing eight years of classical repertory theater, never been in front of a camera. I tell everybody, it took me longer than any other actor I’ve ever seen to get comfortable in front of a camera. And they were very supportive at that time in my career. Coming back to honor Bill now in 2024, and to be see Susan, I am just so happy to be here.

Looking forward to seeing the scenes between Stephen and Susan Seaforth Hayes come December and Doug’s funeral and surrounding episodes? Do you hope that DAYS might bring the character of Steve Olson back for a longer stay? Comment below.
