thank you for this interview! I love JS and am happy to see him on twitter. Welcome to the dark side, James.

Hopefully James will enjoy us nutty fans on twitter! Thank you for this interview.

Thanks for the interview Michael!! Really enjoyed it of course, as I do all of your interviews and James’ interviews as well! I will definitely miss Ejexie’s scenes. Loved that Lexie was not only Ej’s sister, but his best friend. I miss Renee Jones as well, but wish her the best of luck!! Looking forward to more of your interviews Michael! Thanks

James Scott is such a great actor. He is very deserving of an Emmy. This year he should have been nominated for the silent scream scene when Sami came into the rumpus room. Last time he should have won because of the way he portrayed EJ’s reaction to Sami calling off their wedding and leaving with the children. I think it was his best work. The Academy was wrong in making a decision that actor has to interact with another cast member in a scene to win an Emmy. James Scott did a stellar performance without the need of anyone but the viewers watching. Tom Hanks did an entire movie mostly by talking a basketball and was nominated for a third Oscar. He don’t win but three nominated three times in a role and winning twice is a great achievement. James Scott definately should have gotten at least one win. I hope he will not be discouraged and will be able to submit something from the next season. It is not a secret that Days hasn’t had well written storylines lately. It proves James Scott is an even better actor because he has taken some poorly written material and spun it into gold. I am not the only one who feels this way. Mr. Scott has an extremely large fanbase. The number of people who signed up to follow him on twitter during a couple of hours prove it. I personally think the people who determine the Emmy winners made a mistake by not paying homage to James Scott with at least one award.

Michael, you do the nest Interviews of James, and this one is no exception. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to enjoy hearing his thoughts about Days and life.

Thanks Michael! Love the interview with James. I’m surprised he’s on twitter, but it sounds like he has a lot coming up that he’s wants to share with his fans and that’s a good outlet for that. Looking forward to your other interviews.

Thanks. James should be very happy with the Emmy win for writing. James, Ari Zucker, Matt, Melissa and the other actors in the ‘Snowstorm’ episode brought the writers vision to life. Imo all the actors share in this win for giving the words the emotional impact on the screen that they deserve.

i disagree i pretty found this episode flat and boring as hell except for the Matt scenes, i don’t get why it won some emmy instead of the episode of Johnny’s missing, these daytime emmys seem now to be a big fat joke anyway.

Well that was the episode that won the Emmy. I preferred that over shock value stunts such as grief sex. It may have been interesting to fans of Ej/Sami, but there was a lot like myself that didn’t care for it.

Euh no it has nothing with Ej/Sami, it has everything with being an episode with lot’s of heavy drama, scenes well acted and well written and lot’s of history and interactions between important characters therefore i stand by what i said; these emmys are quite a joke and the Johnny’s missing stuff was a FARE BETTER episode than the episode when Maggie and her egg baby drama..boring stuff was featured.

And to me it was not ‘shock value’ at all but daring, edgy and deep storytelling, the only flat factor was Johnny being found under a table, that was ridiculous but before that it was great soap opera unlike this boring and cheesy snowstorm stuff, so we can agree to disagree.

Thank you Michael! I love James Scott and always enjoy his interviews. I hope he can handle twitter! Ha

Not sure it is a great idea to get twitter with some very nutty haters all over the net..but i guess James Scott can get over it and have a thick skin..after all he is an actor..

Julie I agree do not do twitter or facebook you are putting yourself at risk now days people are just nuts I feel safe posting a thought now and then on Mr. Fairman’s blog but if a fellow poster get’s upset I do not respond. My Mom if she was alive would call it in poor taste to treat people you don’t know badly. Just like these comments on Cruise & Holmes tacky and really I don’t care about their personal lives, I am referring to Daytime Confidential why is this a news item for Daytime soaps?

Kristian Alfonso Returns to Days of our Lives for Tribute to The Late Bill Hayes

After a few weeks of Days of our Lives fans being upset that Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams) was not on the first list of initial returns for Doug Williams’ funeral and episodes honoring his portrayer, the late Bill Hayes, comes word that the popular star is back and taping scenes.

Kristian reported to work on the Peacock streaming soap opera on Monday, April 22nd. She shared how important it is for her to be back for this particular return to the show that made her a household name.

“My return is very bittersweet,” Alfonso told TV Insider,  “because it is the end of an era with Bill gone. So to return to Days is very sad. I am appreciative that they came to me to include me in their series of shows honoring Doug and I’m very happy to see everyone, but I’m entering the studio with a heavy heart.”

It was back in 1983 that Kristian first debuted as Doug’s daughter, and now 41 years later looking back at it, and her time with Bill Hayes is very emotional for her.

“I remember my first scenes with him/ He was very loving, very welcoming. That he was very talented and an incredible actor and an icon, that all goes without saying, but my personal relationship and my working relationship with Bill, it was home,” expressed Alfonso. “Doing the scenes with Bill, I felt like I was with my dad because there was so much warmth and reality.”

Alfonso did express some deep regret, in that she had wanted to work with Bill Hayes during her last appearance on the soap back in 2023, but according to the iconic actress, there was something in the works but it never materialized.  “I’m sad that I did not get the opportunity to do the storyline that Ron (Carlivati, head writer) had planned/ It was great; we returned to Salem to reunite with our families and I would have had father/daughter scenes with Billy. What Ron had written was beautiful and emotional and it was a fantastic story. I was 100 percent for it and the fans would have loved it.”

As for if Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope will be back on-screen together anytime soon, Kristian would only say, “What I will say is don’t give up hope.” Doug’s passing and memorial episodes will stream later this year come late November into December.

So, are you happy to learn that Kristian Alfonso is back taping episodes surrounding Doug’s memorial episodes? Comment below.
