After the news a month ago that Sofia Pernas (Marisa) was now recurring on The Young and the Restless, the talented actress landed a gig on the upcoming CW pilot Transylvania.

Now comes word from Pernas herself that she is back taping new episodes in Genoa City.  Sofia posted on her Instagram a photo of herself with Robert Adamson (Noah) and Alyvia Alyn Lind (Faith).

The actress expressed: “Aways the greatest working with these two; little Aly is always the most professional one on set, no lie #yr #confessions #mondaymood”

Pernas will be seen next on the May 5th episode of the CBS Daytime drama.

Are you hoping there continues to be more Marisa on Y&R? Comment below!

I don’t like Marisa at all, she is very annoying. I want Noah to be gay, and pair him up with Kevin Fisher.

I like Marissa — just not with Noah. I would prefer to see Noah with a new girl who would be about his age level. I don’t think it would be believable to see him with Kevin.

I think the Koah combo would be a great match.

Carol: I swear you read my mind. They’d be a couple worth tuning in for. Not sure the network could handle the Heat from those two gorgeous, unlucky-in-love men. But I sure could.

Except that Kevin Fisher wants to be with Natalie.

Why? Marisa is a needless character. Sofia Pernas is very beautiful and talented, but the character is not needed. Hopefully Marisa returns to take Luca out of town, because he’s another character who’s aggravating and useless.

And while they’re at it, send Natalie packing too, I can’t stand her. Side note: does the actress remind anyone else of Elizabeth Hendrickson, with the way she speaks and acts? She could be her younger sister, easily.

Jimmy…I (also) CANNOT STAND Natalie!!!!! And…that recent and so-called ‘makeover’ has made Natalie EVEN MORE ANNOYING!!!!! Truly lame.

Jaybird: I know! Who’d have believed she was actually cuter before !

I actually like Natalie and the actress who plays her.

I noticed the resemblance from day one,–who knows maybe Esther had another kid she forgot giving birth to or gave away off screen and Natalie is her–LOL

agree with Jaybird, Natalie is annoying.

Marisa should have left with Marco!

The actress who plays Natalie should have been a Chloe recast!

IF they are not casting more of Luca’s family, especially his father to go toe to toe with Victor, dump him!

No, I’m not hoping there will be more Marisa. Don’t like the character and don’t like Marisa with Noah.

Clap clap clap clap clap

They brought Kyle back to end his relationship with Glummer, hopefully she will return to end her smooch fest with Noah and leave town FOREVER!

Yes!

I’d rather see Jessica Leccia in the role. Imo.

We need her on for good, I like her and I am glad that she Latin/Hispanic and it’s good for the show to show and keep minorities on board.

I cannot believe all the comments about not wanting her on it- WOW crazy idiots!

More minorities Y&R !!!!

The Winters clan is well represented on the show and their story lines suck!

It has nothing to do with her being a minority. The character does not add anything to the show and I don’t like her with Noah.

The problem with me as far as Marissa is that she is one in a long list of characters that this team brought to the show and shoved down our throats before we barely knew their names. That Noah, who had just lost his lady love could fall so quickly in love with this always sad and pouting character was beyond belief. Rebound, maybe, but eternal love, NO. I don’t get Marisa, I have not been told a story I believe about Marisa, I didn’t even know she was gone, that is how much I really think about her. I only get annoyed when she shows up on screen. Nothing against the actress, just the character. Hope she is back to take Luca with her.

Gina, you summed it up perfectly. The actress is actually quite capable but the character is nearly always frowning or in some dire situation. Do we even know which of her many tall tales have proven true or false? I can’t stand Luca the character but must admit I find Miles G-V sexy, so I’m torn on that one. But why Summer? Hasn’t she gone through enough handsome actors, resulting in their losing their jobs? Kyle (2, actually), Austin, Fen (sort-of); will Luca be next?

I’d forgotten how much I didn’t miss Marissa…

as much as i liked marissa and noah… if any female character is needed back on the show it s avery!!
y n r needs to rectify the mess they created with her character because dylans really going to need her when sullys paternitys revealed

I tend to agree with Damien. Yes, Avery could help clear up this “baby mess” for Dylan. Not only that, she is a wonderful actress and should not have been let go. Dylan and Sharon never made sense.

I like that Hillary is being called for her dark side. A little justice please; not too much, but give us a breather! Don’t make Jack so gullible once again! It is just too soon for that!

Sorry, I got way off base. Nothing against the actress, her role just doesn’t settle in. It is as though you has a very talented person representing another sector of society, but the writers don’t now what to do.

Lisa Rinna Would Be Down to Reprise Her Role of Taylor McBride in ‘Melrose Place’ Reboot

When Lisa Rinna departed her popular role of Billie Reed on Days of our Lives back in 1995, her next major role would be a jump to primetime and the soapy Melrose Place.

In 1996, Lisa was introduced as new character Taylor McBride and stayed with the Fox young adult sudser for three seasons. Now in 2024, with the recent reveal that a Melrose Place revival is the works with Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton all on board to reprise their signature roles, would Rinna board the project should it come to fruition?

Speaking with PEOPLE, Rinna expressed, “Well, gosh, I’ve heard about it. I haven’t been approached or anything, but I would love to see what Taylor McBride is up to 25 years later. Wouldn’t that be something?”

Photo: FOX

OG Melrose Place fans know that in story, Taylor moved to the Melrose Place apartment building with her husband Kyle played by Rob Estes. However, Taylor had her eye on Dr. Peter Burns played by former GH star Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco). But, by the time she had moved to the apartment complex, Peter had married tough as nails ad executive, Amanda Woodward, played by Heather Locklear.

Recalling her time on Melrose Place, Rinna added that it, “was one of my greatest and most fun acting experiences, playing Taylor and working with Heather and the whole crew.”  Rinna also noted, “So if they need a Taylor McBride appearance, they know who to call. I’m around.”

The new Melrose Place is in development at CBS Studios. In the premise of the reboot, the Melrose Place residents reunite after the death of one of their friends, “but the pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”

So, would you want to see Lisa Rinna reprise her Melrose Place role as Taylor McBride? Comment below.

Sean Kanan’s Stepdaughter, Juliet Vega, to Appear on The Bold and the Beautiful

Coming up on this Friday’s April 26th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Juliet Vega, the stepdaughter to Sean Kanan will make an appearance on the CBS daytime drama series in the role of Michele.

Keeping it “All in the Family”, the character is named after Juliet’s real-life mother, and Kanan’s wife, writer and producer, Michele Kanan.

Back in 2012, Sean married Michele Vega and thus began their blended family which included his daughter, Simone, and Michelle’s children, Peter, Gigi, and her twins, Annie and Juliet.

According to a B&B show spokesperson, Juliet’s B&B character is intentionally named Michele in honor of her mother and Sean’s wife.

While we don’t know how “Michele” shows up in story, it is the same episode that Clint Howard makes an appearance as well seemingly tied to the case of where in the world is Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)?

Photo: CBS

We can’t imagine that Juliet wouldn’t get the opportunity to mix it up on-screen with her stepdad, Sean Kanan. Previously, the two acted together in Sean’s streaming series Studio City, where she played the role of Delilah and he played soap actor, Sam Stevens. In it, Delilah is the bio-daughter Sam never knew he had.

So, looking forward to seeing Juliet on B&B and how ‘Michele’ turns up in the story? Comment below.
