Stephen Nichols and Peter Reckell Finish First Week Back Together Shooting Scenes At DAYS!

Stephen Nichols (Patch) and Peter Reckell (Bo) are back in the saddle at Days of our Lives, where the guys completed, according to a tweet from Nichols this afternoon, 7 episodes in two days!
While pictured her is some older images of Patch and Bo, if you head on over to Yahoo TV, they have the very exclusive first look picture of Stephen Nichols and Peter Reckell together again as the dynamic duo from the set of the NBC soap opera set to turn 50 years old in November, which is the impetus for bringing these two beloved characters back into the fold … and for some major story!
Yahoo reports: “The actors are currently filming their episodes, with Nichols, last seen on the show in 2009, set to reappear at the end of August, and Reckell, who was last seen on DOOL in 2012, returning early in September. And yes, the friends and former brothers-in-law will share scenes together …. as the series welcomes back the actors for multiple episodes.”
Nichols tweeted today: “We had a great time our first week back together. More to come! Thanks Ken C. & @DenaHigley & @tvjoshgriffith &Crew”

Cannot wait to see them on screen!!! Can we skip ahead a few months?! The anticipation is too much 😉 The original posted stated they were only back for the 7 episodes that the filmed in 2 days but both Stephen and Peter have tweeted that is not the case!!! Thank God because the fans and Days need them for as long as possible!

“multiple episodes” are the words of Yahoo, not DAYS brass. Yahoo had an earlier version of the article that had to be changed for the false report of only a seven episode appearance.

Generations is an American soap opera that aired on NBC from March 27, 1989, to January 25, 1991. The show was groundbreaking in that it was the first soap opera to feature from its inception an African-American family.
I thought you watched both, Su…including GH.
No matter which way the storylines go, I will never stop watching. For me there are only three left. I never got into watching B&B.

But – since Y&R lost Billy Miller, Michael Muhney, Michelle, and other characters I really liked, like Tucker, Chloe, Y&R has been empty of the greatness it once was..

I just watched Dark Shadow on Decades network on broadcast tv, now that is soap!!
It started in black n white and then went to color..
It was bursting with the best campy I have ever seen!!! brilliant campy!

I have been watching Days of Our Lives since I was a child and I can remember all the great actors and actress that have been on there. These two are amazing actors and I can’t wait to see them both back and hopefully to stay. The emotion they can show and the chemistry they have is truly amazing. Welcome back to DOOL.

Some people refuse to go online…can you take an place an AD in your local newspaper. When I was doing a roofing job, I literally shouted from the rooftop and more roofs to come!!!!!

I don’t watch this soap but I may just tune in to see Stephen Nichols…always like to see an ol’ fave wherever they wind up. As disappointing as it might be for fans of DAYS if it’s not a long arc…I’m hoping this means Nicols will eventually reprise his role as Stefan on GH…
I have been doing the happy dance since I found out that Bo is coming home. If the writers have any sense at all they will send this jerk loser creep Aiden packing. We all know Fancy Face only has one real love and that is Bo Brady. To pair Hope with anybody other than Bo is a huge mistake.
I am so glad they are bringing Peter and Steven back. I hope they have some good story lines. I have missed Bo and Patch.
When DAYS knew they would be firing the writers, they asked several writers for a bible of storyline plans concerning the 50th anniversary and beyond…Dena Higley and Josh Griffith submitted meaty material which no one could deny!
Be prepared to witness the writing team’s greatness that will push DAYS to 55!!!!!
Place an AD in your local paper! Tell all your old school friends!! Turn the neighborhood watch into DAYS watchers!!! Visit a nursing home and turn the channel to NBC on the lobby TV!!!! Don’t cook for your husband unless he watches with you!!!!!

I’ve just never been a fan of Peter’s “Bo Brady.” I’ve always thought Peter’s Bo was written as a Keystone Kop who never cracked or solved a case. Robert Kelker Kelly’s Bo, I thought-was charming, handsome, and tough. Honestly, between nuWill-the actor himself and the character’s antics, lack of love stories (besides Hope and Aidan who are really cute), the Theresa show, Eve’s drama with “that boy,” and the other lackluster stuff going on in Salem-will need to tune-out for a bit, I think. I miss Kristen!
I am beyond thrilled that they are both back! They were the heart of this show for soooo long!!! However, I’m getting nervous that their return is only for a short time. Even worse, If they are bringing Bo back only to die off and give Hope the OK to be with someone else, I will be devastated!!!!!! When Peter said to get the tissues out,it made me really nervous!!! I love them both and cannot wait to see them back on screen,. They need contracts!!!!!!!! There are several new, young actors on who really DON”T CUT IT!!!!!! For example, Mr. Wilson, REALLY NEEDS TO GO!!!!! In addition, they bring a new very young actor who is supposed to take over the Dimera Empire from James Scott????? REALLY??? You think he works??? NO! he doesn’t.
Please, keep Peter and Steve on and give us back the show we all knew and loved!

51st Daytime Emmys: Outstanding Daytime Drama Series Nominations
On Thursday, the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards revealed nominations in several key categories via four entertainment news programs: Access Hollywood, E! News, Extra and Access Hollywood.
Three of the four announcements were major categories in the field of Daytime Dramas.
The nominees in the Outstanding Daytime Drama Series category are: The Bay, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, Neighbours and The Young and the Restless.

General Hospital won this category last year, and has the most all-time wins for a series in this category. For the first time, the beloved Australian-based soap opera, Neighbours is now eligible for competition due to its reboot which streams on Amazon Freevee.

The 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be handed out in ceremonies in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ on Friday night, June 7th.
Previous categories announced tonight via the entertainment news outlet included: Lead Actor and Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

The nominations were revealed for the 51st annual Daytime Emmys. in the prestigious Lead Actress in a Drama Series category by Entertainment Tonight.
This comes ahead of tomorrow’s full list that is set to be unveiled at 12noon/9am PST on Friday.
In the running for this year’s Outstanding Lead Actress are Tamara Braun (Ava, Days of our Lives), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, The Bold and the Beautiful), Annika Noelle (Hope, The Bold and the Beautiful), Finola Hughes (Anna, General Hospital), Cynthia Watros (Nina, General Hospital) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, The Young and the Restless).

Previous winners in this category include GH’s Finola Hughes, Cynthia Watros and Y&R’s Michelle Stafford. Days of our Lives nominee had won in the Supporting Actress category twice in her career.

Ahead of the full list of 51st annual Daytime Emmy Award Nominations to be revealed tomorrow on Friday, April 19th, Extra’s Melvin Roberts unveiled the nominations in the highly-coveted Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor.
Going for gold are Eric Braeden (Victor, The Young and the Restless), Scott Clifton (Liam, The Bold and the Beautiful), John McCook (Eric, The Bold and the Beautiful), Thorsten Kaye (Ridge, The Bold and the Beautiful) and Eric Martsolf (Brady, Days of our Lives).
All five of the nominees are previous Daytime Emmy winners, with Eric Martsolf the only won in the group to have won his previous Emmy for work in the Supporting Actor category.

B&B could make it three years in a row as the reigning champs in the actor race, having won in 2022 with John McCook and 2023 with Thorsten Kaye.
In addition, as previously announced, the Michael Fairman Channel will play host to its 10th annual Daytime Emmy Nominations special featuring several of the nominees for the 51st annual Daytime Emmys which happens live tomorrow Friday, April 19th beginning at 8 pm ET/5pm PT.
