Eeep It hasn’t even aired yet but Erika Slezack mentioned liking being in her hands… hope all is okay with her.

Maybe OLTL wants to have RC back and GH could get a new head writer
or our great old writers, who gave us all our great love story couples and
fantastic story lines…..

I highly doubt they want RC back.

Hell no. Ron must stay at Gh with Frank

ARE YOU CRAZY!!!! No old GH writers back!! They where ruining GH!!! Ron & Frank ARE AMAZING!!! Love stories please it was all mob driven, now I like the mob stuff but not shoved down my throat daily!!! BRAVO FRANK & RON

I agree i was sick of the mob stories all the time too!

I wish Ron Carlivati could write OLTL and GH. The writers chosen for the AMC and OLTL revivals don’t give me a lot of hope for the shows’ success…

Ron is doing a fantastic job with GH – he is preserving the history of the show. Even Tony Geary, Jane Elliot and Kin Shriner have given him and Frank props for saving GH. He isn’t going anywhere let alone to OLTL.

Seems very strange that Susie B Horgan would leave soap already. Maybe she really does have a very personal reason – something to do with her family and home life and nothing to do with OLTL????? On the other hand, maybe she didn’t get along with head writer!!!!!! Another mystery in the life of Soaps!!!!!!

She is Erika Slezak’s friend & I hope things are ok. Erika liked her writing so I hope it doesn’t hurt Viki. I hope Susie will be happy wherever she goes.

Something’s wrong there, not liking this however but could be anything.

maybe susan decided this will not work at all. i have wrote many many times here. i did say that one life to live will be a big hit. i hope i am right. lets pray everyone and hopefully everyone will watch one life to live. this is the last chance everyone. if know one watches it will be cancelled. we need sexy foxy roxy back on one life to live. producers call ilene now. i dont care if she is on contract or recuring. just get her back on our soap. roxy was funny and always made me laugh.

Makes me wonder if she really is leaving for personal reasons, or was it backstage conflict: maybe different opinions of how the storyline should go? Who knows? Hopefully there isnt more problems ahead!

I’m inclined to think along these lines.

Perhaps Prospect Park wanted her stories to be racier or politically-toned in nature?

I loved her writing for “One Life to Live” around 1995 and 1996. She wrote some of the best material for Blair, Todd and Marty. THIS REALLY SUCKS!

I missed a lot of good stuff from what ive read what the story was then…i had a lot going on in my life at that time i rarely could watch so i understand if she left for personal reasons but everyone has problems at some point in their life and rarely leave their job…you could be right about them wanting her stories be racier and politically toned in nature, and id leave too if that was the case…i like good old fashioned romance, family drama and mystery in character driven storylines. But i guess a lot of people seem not to want that too much anymore. Everything is too faced paced and writers today seem to only care about what they can get away with instead of good storytelling. I dont mind it a tad racier and a few extra foul words wont upset me as long as the’story engages me but i could still do without the racier adult stuff and obscene language. Had this been like that i was a kid i wouldnt have been able to watch soaps and not be a huge fan like i am today.

Sounds like there are issues already with this relaunch. Good thing the three actors will be on GH!

Leaving for personal reasons can mean anything from a sickness in the family to I can’t stand my boss to my boss can’t stand me. Whatever the low down I am sure they are so invested in this project that her departure will not derail anything. I wish her well and hope whatever cause her to resign isn’t too serious.

So sorry to hear this. I certainly wish her well.

hmm

Sigmund Freud:

”Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar!”

(don’t do over-thinking and making it something other than it is )

i hopt this not hurt the show. I hope this is not a bad sign. I wish the show so much good luck, to all the writers, crew, actors, etc.

looks like the thing is imploding already and it hasn’t even aired

Already?!

I”ll just say… I hope the envelope isn’t being pushed to far…

All the actors at OLTL seem to be happy, and that tells me there is some good storytelling going on. I hate to see a good storyteller go! I hope they get someone in there who understands the core of the characters and what makes them tick (aka their history and moods). Side note: FV and RC did a good job under ABC but they need to STAY w/ ABC and let us have back the OLTL that we fell in love with.

I had heard that there has been some conflict as to how much screen time/stories the veteran characters are getting vs the “newbies” and Susie was not happy with being told to go in that direction. Hope that’s not going to be the case.

I can see this being the case.

Which means, we probably will only see Vicki, Clint and Dorian once a week. Pretty much as often as we saw Renee and Nigel when the show was on ABC.

From the brief conversation I was able to have with her outside the studio when we held a welcome back rally…I doubt it had anything to do with problems inside the studio or with OLTL. I don’t know anything for sure, just my own feeling. I believe it is completely personal.
THE SHOW IS FINE AND WILL BE FINE!
Best wishes Susan.

I agree. I dont remember where I read it, but I felt she had some other project she was working on that had not taken off yet. I think she had took this opportunity until that project began. It probably happened sooner then what she thought.

I am sure she had a hand in getting OLTL running, and is left in good hands.

Sean Kanan’s Stepdaughter, Juliet Vega, to Appear on The Bold and the Beautiful

Coming up on this Friday’s April 26th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Juliet Vega, the stepdaughter to Sean Kanan will make an appearance on the CBS daytime drama series in the role of Michele.

Keeping it “All in the Family”, the character is named after Juliet’s real-life mother, and Kanan’s wife, writer and producer, Michele Kanan.

Back in 2012, Sean married Michele Vega and thus began their blended family which included his daughter, Simone, and Michelle’s children, Peter, Gigi, and her twins, Annie and Juliet.

According to a B&B show spokesperson, Juliet’s B&B character is intentionally named Michele in honor of her mother and Sean’s wife.

While we don’t know how “Michele” shows up in story, it is the same episode that Clint Howard makes an appearance as well seemingly tied to the case of where in the world is Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)?

We can’t imagine that Juliet wouldn’t get the opportunity to mix it up on-screen with her stepdad, Sean Kanan. Previously, the two acted together in Sean’s streaming series Studio City, where she played the role of Delilah and he played soap actor, Sam Stevens. In it, Delilah is the bio-daughter Sam never knew he had.

So, looking forward to seeing Juliet on B&B and how ‘Michele’ turns up in the story? Comment below.

Cameron Mathison Previews New Game Show ‘Beat The Bridge’ (Promo)

As previously reported, Cameron Mathison (Drew, General Hospital) will be seen doing double duty this summer when he premieres in June as the host of Game Show Network’s Beat The Bridge.

Now, while Cameron will be the host with the most, that doesn’t mean he will stop playing GH’s Drew.  In fact, Mathison taped the game show in 2023, so it will now air for the first time in 2024.

Taking to his Instagram this week, Cameron shared his enthusiasm and some new hosting snaps, sharing, “Our newest game show host reporting for duty😎 Head over to the Game Show Network YouTube channel for your first look at the show and don’t miss Beat The Bridge premiering this June! I can’t wait for you guys to see this!”

Photo: GSN

In Beat The Bridge, an enormous interactive bridge dares players to cross by stepping on the right answers to challenging trivia questions. As they play, each steps forward and puts money in their team’s bank, with bonus money for each successful crossing. Here’s the catch: the team gets to keep the money only if it can “beat the bridge” by returning one of its players back across before time expires.

Meanwhile, on GH, Drew and Nina (Cynthia Watros) recently had hate-sex. Do you think its a one-time deal? Where will Drew’s story take him next under new head writers, Patrick Mulcahey and Elizabeth Korte? Stay tuned.

Now below, check out the first promo for Beat The Bridge from the Game Show Network with you host, Cameron Mathison.  Then, let us know, will you be checking out the game this summer? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

Kim Kardashian, Emma Roberts and Marlene King Land ‘Calabasas’, a Soap in the Vein of the ‘O.C’ and ‘Beverly Hills 90210’, at Netflix

There has been lot of soapy projects coming to life and in the works of late, and now comes word that Kim Kardashian is executive producing a new series in development for Netflix called Calabasas.

After a bidding war last week, it looks like Netflix cemented the development deal from Kim, and her producing partners American Horror Story co-star Emma Roberts (pictured below) and Pretty Little Liars creators Marlene King and Alexandra Milchan.

The concept of Calabasas is based on the book If You Lived Here You’d Be Famous By Now by Via Bleidner.  King set to write the adaptation and will serve as the series showrunner.

According to Deadline, Calabasas is said to be in the vein of primetime young teen and young adult soaps the O.C. and Beverly Hills 90210. The story follows “Via, a 16-year-old sheltered Midwestern Catholic school girl whose world is turned upside down when her family moves and she’s forced to transfer to the fast world of Calabasas High where nothing is as it appears and where everyone is trying to be someone else. It’s a place where dreams come true … but not without complications and sometimes unforeseen consequences.”

As fans of the Kardashians know, Kim and her family made the town of Calabasas a household and worldwide name. Kim being attached to this project helped make its sale. This marks her fourth project to sell since the writers and actors strikes concluded at the end of last summer.
