THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Sheila Shoots Steffy to Silence Her After Killing Finn

Courtesy/CBS

Sheila Carter unhinged is what many soap opera fans have wanted to see since Kimberlin Brown returned for another turn to The Bold and the Beautiful, and finally in a story twist we are getting down to it.

On Friday’s cliffhanger, Sheila accidentally shoots her son, Finn (Tanner Novlan) when he rushes in to stop his mother from shooting his wife, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), in the back alley at Il Guardino. Things went awry, and he took the bullet meant for Steffy, and in a shocker, Finn dies.

Courtesy/CBS

Now on the pick-up of Monday’s episode, as Steffy is about to call 911 for help, Sheila has other plans. She also shoots Steffy! With both husband and wife now lying in a pool of blood next to each other, an hysterical Sheila begins to cover up her crimes.

She makes it look like a robbery was the setting for the shootings.  Sheila puts on gloves (she conveniently had them in her bag, along with a gun), and takes all of the key personal effects from Steffy and Finn: wallet, purse, rings, etc.

When Sheila gets back to her hotel room, she throws everything she took into a garbage bag, falls on to the bed in tears and horror and then tries to scrub off the blood on her.  She looks in the mirror, wipes the blood on her lips and things get frightening as only Sheila Carter can be!

At the end of the episode, Deacon (Sean Kanan) who is throwing the trash out back at the restaurant/bar, stumbles on the sight of both Steffy and Finn shot and calls for help.

Kimberlin Brown was excellent in the episode, and its seems clear that B&B not only crafted a story to keep Brown on the canvas longer, but from the looks of it, to  facilitate a maternity leave for Woods, who is expecting her third child this spring.

CBS Daytime released the latest promo for this week’s B&B, you can check that out below.

Now, what did you think of the double-shooting of Steffy and Finn? Comment below.

All this over a swapped label of NYE champagne and a drunken kiss. I wish there would have been higher stakes and suspense here. More gaslighting. More mystery. It all hinged on this one thing. And I hope the Forresters realize they should have seen it coming. Please, Brooke, don’t you be running back to Ridge so fast!

Knowing Sheila’s history, and that she was the reason her mother Taylor was presumed dead for several years, Steffi was rather stupid to “poke the bear”. She could have just gone and told Finn what sheila did without antagonizing and taunting Sheila. It’s hard to take these stories seriously when characters act so stupid. For Sheila to commit a double homicide (or so she thinks) just because she spiked Brooke’s drink is kind of a joke. That is the least serious crime Sheila has EVER committed! Lol. She would merely laugh her maniacal laugh at anyone who accused her of… Read more »

Exactly! I’m not sure why the writers think viewers are unintelligent. So tired of the same love triangle which never seems to include a review of Steffy’s past dirty deeds. It’s like we are supposed to conveniently forget because we are so “dumb.” If anyone is dumb and exhausting it’s Liam. Are we supposed to believe this guy is that spineless but yet two powerful women want him so badly? In real life women RUN from men like him who can’t think for themselves? He’s a joke. The love triangle is so over done since 1987. Can we get some… Read more »

As a huge fan of Sheila since her debut in 1990 on Y&R then B&B in 1992 I have to say that this turn of events is a an utter disappointment. Sheila endured on-air, long-term in the 90’s as a villain but not as a crazed killer. Things had been going so well during this most recent return until last week. My biggest dream was always to see Sheila redeemed so that we can enjoy Kimberlin on the show for many years. Instead they are making Sheila worse and worse. Now there’s really no chance at redemption. Sheila is now… Read more »

How many ways has she hurt and tried killing people on both shows? If that’s not crazy I don’t know what is. They can’t even keep her locked up. I for one will be glad when another lunatic kills her and throws her in a dumpster as she did Steffy.

I’m gonna agree here, Violet. There are villains I loved to hate (Nelle Benson on GH, Ian Ward on Y&R, early Liesl Obrecht on GH) but Sheila was never shaded with humor or any other positive attribute to me. I know many feel otherwise. Remember when Liesl was on the run, holding Elizabeth hostage in her own home and devouring the kids’ cereal? After scarfing down bowl #3, she declares, “They’re surprisingly fruit-like”. Classic villainy!

After all the Sheila years we’ve been through, I can’t ever remember one good thing she’s done. Also why isn’t she with any of her kids and suddenly decides she wants to be Finnn’s mother, a grown man she knows nothing about? Gosh, I don’t remember the Cereal thing with Dr. O.She’s another mother that likes controlling her child, but at least Britt can keep her in her place.

Sheila is psychotic! I think it is close to impossible to redeem her.

K brown has been amazing in these episodes. Bold has been really bringing it this week. You know deacon will be blamed and Thomas is gonna have a lot of explaining to do once his guilt takes over

I definitely didn’t see any of this coming! It’s hard to believe that Finn is really dead, the character had so much potential. Hopefully this means we get to see more of Jack and Li in the near future, they’ve been very underused lately. As for Steffy, I have no doubt that she will survive. But I wonder if Sheila will fake her death to facilitate Jacqueline Wood’s maternity leave? She could pull a Kristen on DAYS and ship Steffy off to an island like what happened to Sarah – and have her come back thinking she’s really Phoebe! Now… Read more »

Why did they kill Finn off they should take Steffy also.but I know they won’t because she’s important in the story line but why kill Finn now they are going to give grief to Hope because of Liam.

More and more I’m drifting away from soaps. Whether it’s B&B’s latest Sheila/Steffy/Finn and predictable same old “love” triangles, or GH’s Spencer/Esma/Ryan, the stories just aren’t fun, romantic and exciting for my daytime tastes anymore. And the baddies are just getting too sick and violent for me.

I tend to agree with you, especially Days which Iam very selective about. I don’t watch the days the Devil is doing his worst and scenes with Leo Stark make me want to vomit. I must say, my F.F gets a workout on every show.

Violet…FF and mute are my two favorite buttons. As for Y&R really sorry to see Ray leave in such a bad way. What would soaps do without car crashes on foggy back roads, or found drown in the PC’s harbor where no person should ever take a leisure walk. And nobody really ever saw Peter August put into an ambulance…Hmmmmmm.

I’m sure Steffy will be in a coma so Jacqui can go on maternity leave. Sad to see Finn go. Guess I should have realized it when Ridge and Taylor kept going on about the couple.

As well as their bedroom love scene a week or so ago. Tanner is probably moving on to film or possibly primetime, for he has hardly been on the B and B scene while all of the Brooke/Ridge/Taylor triangle was getting set up with Steffi and Thomas continuously together on screen.

I’ve been thinking about that bedroom scene you mention. I’m wondering if that might have produced another pregnancy?

B/B what are you doing. There is so many ways to go. Let Finn come back not knowed to anyone and make Shelia pay. Finn can show how much he loves his family.Give the man some balls and a little Shelia behavior…And when Liam try to get with S. Forrester, he teaches Liam who the real man in S. Forrester life is and to get away from his wife whom has lost her recall of really what happened because everyone is showing Shelia sympathy. This will get B/B a Day Time Award.

Kimberlin Brown is rapidly wrapping up a Supporting Actress Daytime Emmy nod and win. Her performances are both chilling and scary. What a demoness! Please keep her on the show! Finn left the canvas way too soon as I was looking forward to seeing at least one happy couple/family on that show. Maybe some romantic trips for Finn and Steffy—-all gone. And I think everyone wanted to see more of Jack and Li. Novlan has a great future somewhere including Hallmark or motion pictures. And Woods can now have her maternity leave.

I am still so very numb with this part of the story. I can’t believe Finn died by his mother’s hand. There is no way Sheila will get out of this one. What will bother me is if all this goes down and Lauren on Y&R still doesn’t find out that Sheila has been alive and well. (Well, maybe not-so-well now)

This just shows how selfish Sheila is. She was more concerned about herself than her son.

Really hope they bring Finn back somehow. He was my favorite character. We can’t endure another Steffy/Hope/Liam triangle. It’s way past old.

Steffy is in critical condition from a GSW and she hasn’t required surgery, a blood transfusion, something. It appears that she is still in the ER. The audience has more medical savvy than this.

Once again Hope will have to watch as Steffy hangs all over Liam thinking he’s still her husband. Iam sure that will include the baby son of she and Finn’s.

Days Of Our Lives

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Ciara Saves Baby Bo with Assist from Heavenly Bo; Tripp Shifts Into Satan & Crashes Through Window

May Sweeps are in full bloom, and on Monday’s episode of Days of our Lives, the supernatural was front and center, and what Salemites hope will now and forever, put Satan behind them once and for all.

In story, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) is one tough mama. She and Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) track down AllDevil (Lindsay Arnold) and her dastardly partner in crime, Charlie Dale (another guest return of Emmy-winner Mike Manning), as the devil starts the Ceremony of Transference to make their baby a mini-Satan. However, AllDevil has a plan to keep Cin at bay. She uses a protective pentagram wall, and electrocutes Ben from penetrating it.  Then, when Ciara has to save her baby, a white light comes upon her, and she is able to push through the barrier, push out Satan, and regain her baby boy in her arms.

Tripp (Lucas Adams) arrives on the scene and clunks Charlie over the head with a baseball bat before he tries to kill Ben. When Ben comes to and meets his young son, “Bo”, Ciara tells Tripp that AllDevil is headed to St. Luke’s where he and Johnny (Carson Boatman), who was also at the scene, head off to find her.

At University Hospital, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) is going to get Baby “Bo” checked out as Ben and Ciara spend time with their little one in the hospital room. All of a sudden, a white light appears and Ciara’s dad, Bo Brady (the return of Peter Reckell) comes through the light. Both Ben and Ciara see the iconic Bo, and Ciara tells her dad to meet his grandson, and thanks him for saving the day at the cemetery.

Inside the church, while upstairs, AllDevil flashes back to when Satan was inhabiting Marlena (Deidre Hall) and set fire to the place of worship 25 years ago, and fans get the actual clip of the classic moment in DAYS history. Just then, Tripp and Johnny find Satan upstairs ready to torch the place. Johnny gets a good ole’ toss across the room, leaving Tripp to fend off the devil.

But helps is on the way as Father Eric (Greg Vaughan), John and Marlena (Deidre Hall) are there to save the day; as they begin an exorcism, of sorts. In defiance, we see AllDevil begin to crack Allie’s neck as everyone looks on in horror. Tripp admitting his love for Allie, tells the devil to come into him and let Allie go.  The shift happens as Tripp is now the devil, and in order to fight off hurting Allie or anyone, selflessly jumps out the church window and looks in dire straits.

So, what did you think of this climatic episode of Days of our Lives, with more to come with the return of Bo Brady this week? Comment below.

THIS IS US: Kevin’s Romantic Match Finally Revealed

As This Is Us heads towards its last episodes of the series, every single show has been filled with emotional moments that tug at our heartstrings, and Tuesday’s night installment was no exception, exact for one thing – you may have been crying happy tears!

In the episode entitled ‘The Night Before the Wedding”, Kevin (Justin Hartley) is front and center as we pick up what happened with three women who were circulating that evening.  If you recall, Madison and Beth were trying to find out who actually slept with Kevin that night in his hotel room.  However, as it turns out, Kevin slept alone!  What leads to this are key moments that collide and ultimately bring about the revelation he needed.

First, his childhood girlfriend who then became his wife, who then became his ex, Sophie, (Alexandra Breckinridge) reveals on a walk through a vineyard that she is divorced now. Things didn’t work out between her and her husband, Grant. This comes as a surprise to Kevin, but Sophie says she has never been happier.  Kevin opens up that his relationships with women haven’t worked out.  Sophie talks on how Kevin’s mom, Rebecca, thinks of the two of them are still together due to Rebecca’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease and her declining health.

Later that night, Kevin follows Sophie to the elevator. She follows him to his room, they start to make out and undress and Kevin makes a comment on how Sophie’s hair smells different, which flips her out and she stops everything right then and there.  An upset Sophie yells, “You should like how my hair smells now, not how it smelled in the past.”  Things go south and we are left to wonder … sooo … is that the end of Kevin and Sophie?

A dazed and confused Kevin wonders down to the bar where Ariel, the band singer, is having a drink snd writing song lyrics.  She tells Kevin she loves people-watching and came up with a lyric about him, which turns out to be profound. He leaves the bar alone to his hotel room and puts the paper napkin containing the lyrics down (this is the napkin that Beth and Madison read in last week’s episode while they were snooping around trying to figure out who Kev slept with).

Next, Cassidy shows up at Kevin’s room needing help with her dress – she’s stuck in it and needs the back unzipped.  Kevin helps, and she changes in the bathroom, and you think maybe they will hit the sheets, but no.  Cassidy shuts down anything from happening.  She reminds Kevin that they are good friends and to put the nail in the coffin, shares: “You’re not my person, and I’m not yours, and you know that.”   Kevin agrees, they hug, she exits.  Ultimately, Kevin wakes up alone, gets dressed to attend Kate and Phillip’s wedding and is seen rehearsing his speech in the mirror from the Princess Bride – the one that Sophie laughed at during the wedding reception.

Now, we are at the actual reception again, and Sophie speaks with Rebecca.  Kevin’s mom, who still thinks Kevin and Rebecca are in their 20’s says, “I love my son, but he is an idiot.  The timing is just off right now. He isn’t ready for you. He will be, but it’s going to take a while. And I don’t know if you can wait around for that. Personally, I don’t know if I could. But when the timing is right, he’s going to be so great.”  It was those words that clued Sophie in and confirmed that Kevin is the right choice for her, right now.

Photo: NBC

Across the room, Randall gives Kevin some major and convoluted advice about Buffalo Bills Super Bowl merch. Randall gives Kevin a big push to go to Sophie saying, “The world is friggin’ insane. It makes no sense. But you and Sophie together, now that makes more sense than most things.”

Next, Kevin walks over to Sophie and starts to talk, but she stops him. “You don’t get to give a speech this time. It’s my turn,” she says. It is then she tells him he is now the man she always hoped he would become, and that she was sorry she freaked out the other night. She just does not want to fall back into the old versions of themselves.  However she adds,  “I want to fall in love with the man that you’ve become.”

As both Kevin and Sophie are fighting back the tears, Kevin takes out his wallet and shows Sophie the Valentine he wrote for her the first day he saw her in  elementary school.  We go to a heart-tugging flashback.  Back at the wedding reception, Kevin says “I’ve always carried you with me, Soph.”  The two share a kiss to the thunderous applause of the wedding party.  We bring out the hankies!

Wonderful work from Justin Hartley and Alexandra Breckinridge who’s on-screen chemistry as Kevin and Sophie has been undeniable from the start.

So, were you happy to find out that Kevin and Sophie reunited? Comment below.
