THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: What's Up With Maya's Baby Sis Nicole & The Secret That She Carries?

Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards) recently showed up in town and moved right into the Forrester Mansion with Rick (Jacob Young) and her sister Maya (Karla Mosley).
Now, Maya is doing everything she can do to clearly get the girl out of the house and away from her and Rick … but why? Looks like we may get some answers, or begin to, next week on upcoming episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful! In this new CBS Daytime promo, it teases that Nicole holds a secret, and it clearly is something she is about to hold over Maya’s head.
So, why do you think Nicole came to LA? Does she want to become part of the high fashion world and move and shake with people who have plenty of dollars? Is Maya and Nicole’s relationship not what it may seem?

I had no idea, then it just popped into my head – what if lil’ sis isn’t lil’ sis but daughter? Looked up the age of the actress who plays Maya; she’s 33. It’s a slight stretch, but it could be, especially if she’s playing just a little older. And how old is lil’ sis supposed to be? 18? That would mean Maya was 15 when “sis” was born; happens every day.

I agree and Maya should just tell Rick the truth. he already knows Maya was in Jail and lost a baby anyway. So what if she made mistakes . I would hate t see her fall. She won Rick, Caroline stole him back and she won him back while making something out of a tuff time. There are no other women of color in the show in a high power position what’s wrong with it being Maya. Again Rick is the one picking on his staff Maya did not ask for that foot rub.
I racked my brain all night thinking what secret could Maya have that would shock Rick? Rick Forrester whose family has seen/done it all. What could shock him & for some reason I thought like at 3 a.m., Maya is a guy! Or was. My mother called me today after the show screaming (I was at work & had not seen the show yet) She said you won’t believe the secret-have never seen it on a soap before-I said DO NOT TELL ME, then I said Maya is a guy but she hung up, ha. I saw it later tonight & had a fit, screaming, I mean, Myron, my brother! OMG. This is over the top!
Wow!!! I am loving Nicole on the show. She is mouthy and puts Maya in her place. I bet she is Maya’s
daughter and not her little sister. I hope she stays on the show and compete with her mother for the lead model position
Oh I would love it. I think Maya is beautiful but I am so sick of her & her attitude. She & Rick make it sound like Caroline & Ridge are to blame but really it was two kisses what about her constantly putting Caroline down to Rick & planning her little escapade in the steam-room with Rick?
No one ever explains how Maya had a baby before she went to prison!! If she’s transgender then did she adopt the baby she gave up!
No one cares who she is more then likely Maya’s daughter! Another waste of money we could have good solid actors back on this show with history and we get stuck with this!
I think this is the twist the Rick/Maya in the Manor story needs.
I do too! IMO it’s much more interesting than a boozy Brooke, a useless Gwen/Deacon, a washed up Ridge and silly Caroline and most definitely the annoying Ivy who needs to go back to wherever she came from.

I think Nicole might be Mya sister she may have had as a very early teen, I know Mya had a kid she lost while in jail but she could have had her first child at 13, 14, 15 but was raise as her sister instead of her daughter just a thought.
I think baby sis, is really Maya’s daughter! My theory is Maya had her when she was maybe 14 or 15 and the family pretend that Maya’s mother gave birth to her. That would explain why there seems to be so much tension between Maya and her parents and it sounds like they had issues long before Maya went to prison.
Could it be they have the same daddy? Father/stepfather molested Maya, gets pregnant with Nicole?
My guess the boyfriend that sent her to jail was pimping her out as a prostitute before she did time.

I agree. I thought that maybe the ex boyfriend had her prostituting. Or maybe had her doing nude modeling which is why Nicole is so impressed with Maya’s fashion modeling career.

She did have a little girl was put in foster home, Maya thought she would get her back when she was found innocent and got out of jail. A couple had just adopted her and was in a car accident , the little girl died.

Could Maya possibly be Nicole’s mother? Maya could have become pregnant with her as a young teen, and had her parents raise the baby. Most likely, Nicole just found out this news and is hellbent to make Maya pay.

Well since all of B&B women always end up victims, needy, or weak, I’m guessing prostitution.
I thought it would be contemporary and cool if it turned out that Maya was actually born male and went through gender reassignment surgery years ago–and there was no baby. Rick has fallen in love with a transgendered woman–and it won’t matter. What WILL matter is that Forrester’s lead model was born a man and is involved with the CEO. A chance to EDUCATE the characters AND viewers about what it means to be transgendered and to be involved with someone trans. The “sister-as-secret-daughter” or “Maya used to be a hooker” things, while understandable to guess as soap viewers, are kinda tired and trite for the 21st century. Let’s think about the world TODAY…!
No offense…if you want education…turn to PBS. Soaps have never been a reliable form of “education” but at least some of them used to try, often with ground breaking and award winning results. Think of GH the Claire Labine era. But Bold and the Beautiful, of all the soaps, is just campy fluff and on its brief sojourns into anything socially relevant, it is most often presented as a special episode, plays like an after school special, and then Brooke goes back to sleeping with everyone. Thats the formula that has apparently worked for this show for 28 years. Tossing in a transgender just for the sake of it would reek of stunting…and would be filled with stilted wooden dialogue…fairy tale and rainbows aceptance by everyone…and a lot of bad acting. No thanks!
I agree although I’m not opposed to a Transgender in the soaps , its long overdue. I would prefer to have it known from the Start so the person would have there own ID and style. If Maya is destroyed this way then so is a Transgender person due to haters. Let there be a Ru Paul/ Transgender like person on the show and more women of color as it could be good for F.C under Rick and Maya’s term in office and good period

Well unfortunately they decided to take to low road and go with the Mya is a Man story line.
Not really feeling this storyline yet. Would love to see Aly or any other member of Maya’s Fan Club find out the secret and use it before Nicole has a chance to, LOL! Just hope this secret and the storyline is somewhat fresh and original instead of the same old/same old.
I can’t stand her….so many people have been saying she’s Maya’s daughter….a little stretch age wise but nothing soaps haven’t done before…..& maybe it was the circumstances that she was conceived that made Maya leave….

I was a fan of Mya and Rick re-connecting ever since Caroline broke them up but now I’m soooo tired of them. I do like them together but can’t the writers send them on a vacation?

If Nicole is Maya’s daughter, then she’s aged awfully fast, as Maya stated she lost her daughter in an accident a couple years before she met Rick. I don’t think she’s her daughter; I think she is her sister, but there’s something that Maya is hiding. My first thought was that Maya was born a male and is transgendered. Wouldn’t that be a kick to actually have on air in a soap!

Storyline-wise and all, I’m kinda thrilled by this. I mean…for once, this seems to be a storyline that DOES N-O-T involve that needy and man-hungry Brooke…L-O-L!!!!! I’m just saying……….

I think that she is Mia’s daughter. I think she lied to Rick about her daughter dying and instead left the child with her parents to raise and they raised her. Can’t wait to find out.
I thought the same ever since Nicole showed up on the show I felt she was Mayas daughter. Also feel there was family abuse going on and Maya went to prison for murder and not what she told Rick.
My first thought was that Maya was born male. I don’t think Maya having a baby at a young age would make Rick not forgive her. It has to be something bigger than that. I think the story she told about losing her baby was a rouse to help cover up her true identity.

Maya is supposed to be mid-late 20’s. She came on the show having given up a baby who was killed in an accident.
Nicole is in college, so that would put her at 19-20 at least.
No matter how you stretch it, the mother/daughter thing doesn’t work.
That being said, and knowing how ridiculous the soaps can be and how far they try to push the envelope, they will probably try to sell that load of crap and expect us to buy it. Ain’t happening for me!
Todays episode said Nicole wasn’t an UCLA student she was taking extension Scorsese but dropped out, she came to Maya for an answer and I feel she wants to know how her mother could leave her in a cruel family instead of taking her with to raise her ina better environment so now she’s going to make her mother/Maya pay for the wrong choice she made.there are girls as young as 12 years old getting pant. I think Maya murdered her rapest, went to prison and fled when she got out leaving her daughter/Nicole behide.

I agree with many of you. I can’t stand Nicole. Other than this so called secret, she doesn’t bring anything to the show. She can’t act. As far as Brooke, i am so sick of the Drama Queen. She can’t be alone! Give me a break. She’s been with every man on the show and has kids and sisters that love her. That’s more than most people. Enough of poor Brooke! And I am so sick of Rick and Maya kissing and making out every minute. What time does he have to be CEO? What time do they have to run the company when they are either in bed or she’s on his lap. Can’t the writers make them at least seem professional? I do hope Caroline and Ridge stay together. They make a great couple and they do work once in a while. I can go on and on about everyone but getting back to this big secret. I just have a feeling that this secret isn’t that big a deal but it’s keeping everyone watching the show. I just hope the writers make this secret worth all the hipe it’s getting and they don’ let us down.
If you recall Mya was with Rick first. Caroline stepped in. Her past is her past. It’s a reason why Mya parents raised Nicole as their daughter. But at this point Mya should tell Rick. His family same way look at Brooke and her daughter

Yes, I also believe that Maya is Nicole’s mom, but the transgender storyline is a better and new age one. I’m 55 and when Erica Kane on all my children had an abortion, I learned a lot then, too.

Biracial is very common now a days this is not. Just look at the numbers they expect to tune into Jenner’s surgery!
Really, really writers! You could have at least picked someone who looked a little less like a shapely woman! I’ve seen transgenders and they do not look like maya. My sister and I watch the show and after that came out we both laughed our you know what off. I called her and we laughed for the first minute of our conversation! This is ridiculous!!!

‘Tracker’ Star Justin Hartley Reveals Melissa Roxburgh to Debut as His On-Screen Sister
Justin Hartley took to his Instagram this week, and introduced the latest cast member to his hit freshman drama, Tracker on CBS.
The former Y&R star where he played Adam Newman, now plays Colter Shaw on Tracker and in a few weeks time on the May 5th episode, viewers will be introduced to Colter’s sister, Dory.
Actress Melissa Roxburgh takes on the key role. Roxburgh is most-known for his role in Manifest. She has also appeared on Quantum Leap and Supernatural to name just a few of her other TV credits.

In the episode entitled, “Beyond the Campus Walls”, the CBS series previews, “When a grad student goes missing after a house party, his friends and family believe he buckled under the pressure of his research grant. But, after consulting with his sister Dr. Dory Shaw (Roxburgh)— a professor at the school — Colter discovers a trail of explicit photos and messages that lead him to uncover a dangerous (and deadly) conspiracy on campus.”
Hartley’s post shared, “Colter finally reunites with his little sister Dory in the coming weeks. Join me in welcoming the lovely and talented @MRoxburgh to the @TrackerCBS family!”

The story of Colter Shaw’s family is a throughline throughout Tracker. We know from flashbacks, that Colter, Dory and their brother Russell had a not-conventional upbringing. Their parents Ashton and Mary were professors at Berkeley until something happened to Ashton. When his paranoia gets the best of him he leaves his family, but Russell went after him, and then later on Ashton is found dead, where all indications look like Russell pushed him. Now in 2024, Russell contacted Colter telling him there is something he “needs to know.” However, Colter’s mom, Mary did not want her son engaging with Russell in any conversation and that was back earlier in the season after the second episode.

B&B’s Sean Kanan, Heather Tom and Lawrence Saint-Victor All Had Creative Hand in Sheila’s ‘Ten Toe’ Reveal
Bringing it from the page to the stage is the actor’s job on any theatre, television or motion picture project. In the case of The Bold and the Beautiful, longtime soap MVP, Sean Kanan, has been delivering some powerful performances as Deacon has become increasingly freaked out and obsessed with the fact, that in the crematorium, he saw that “Sheila’s” (Kimberlin Brown) body had ten toes, not nine.
Deacon now believes Sheila might be alive somewhere (given she only has 9 toes), and especially after seeing the communications between Sugar and Sheila on her laptop.
Then, on Monday’s April 15th episode of the CBS daytime drama series, Deacon says to himself (as he pours himself a drink), “Maybe Finn’s right. Maybe I’m losing it.” He flashes back to the crematorium, saying “Sheila had nine toes, but I saw ten on those feet.” He then utters, “Why Sheila? Why did you go to Steffy’s that night? And who the hell is sugar?”

While Kanan has played the only guy in town who thinks something is off here, he was ably assisted by two of his castmates. First, six-time Daytime Emmy-winner, Heather Tom (Katie) directed the episode where it was revealed that the woman’s body in the crematorium had ten toes.
Second, Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter), wrote that ‘ten toe’ reveal episode, and he took to Kanan’s instagram and expressed, “I had a lot of fun writing this episode. (Sean Kanan) killed it!!!!”

CBS Orders Michele Van Jean Soap Opera ‘The Gates’ to Series; Set to Debut January 2025
Great news! Soap fans are getting the first new daytime drama in 25 years with the news today that CBS has moved Michele Van Jean’s The Gates to a series order.
In addition, the show is set to bow in January 0f 2025, which means that it appears that the new soap will replace The Talk, which was just canceled and will end after its upcoming 15th season in December of 2024. No specific time period, or exact premiere date has been set as of yet.
In the premise of the The Gates it follows lives of a wealthy Black family who live in a luxurious gated community.

The Gates has Val Jean as its writer, showrunner and one of its executive producers. Soap fans know Val Jean’s work best for her work on the writing teams of General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful. Taking to X, Michele shared: “It’s go time” citing the news on the show coming to CBS in 2025 via Deadline.
Sheila Ducksworth, Leon Russell, Derrick Johnson and Kimberly Doebereiner will serve as executive producers on The Gates production team. The soap has been in development through a the joint venture between CBS Studios and the NAACP, which was established to help elevate a diverse range of voices and increase the visibility of Black artists.
The series will be produced by the CBS Studios/NAACP venture in partnership with P&G Studios, which is a division of Procter & Gamble, who used to be very big in the soap opera game.
