Sexually molested – leading to a split personality – ala OLTL? Maybe it was this bad Luke that raped Laura all those years ago…in order to give good Luke complete redemption? Bad Luke ran over the kid? Oh, I give up. Who knows.

ITA

I too believe it has something to do with sexual abuse–maybe it happened to Luke too—Luke killed his father after Tim assualted Patricia–Aunt Ruby helped cover up the killing by burying Tims body in the basement of the Spencer home–i also believe Patricia suffers mental illness and when we see her she’ll be one of her multiple personalities—there also has been other traumatic things in the Spencer’s lives over the years to add to this story that caused their mental problems: The cancellation of The Beverly Hillbillies in the earyly 1970s, Ronald Reagen becoming President in the 1980s, the closing of the Montgomery Wards Department store chain in the 1990s, and more recently we have the antics of Miley Cyrus, Justin Beiber, the Kardashians and tv being overrun by too many reality shows can cause a lot of mental problems in just about everbody…lol

If it was bad Luke who raped Laura on the floor of the campus disco with Herb Alpert playing on the PA system then it negates the whole rape storyline and the complexities involved with it.
I am sure the writers and Tony are going to utilize Herculean efforts in order to put Humpty Dumpty back together again, but all the king’s horses and all the king’s men the viewers) are frankly fed up.

I had no idea Luke had raped Laura. Then, she married him? Hmmmm. Strange!
Wouldn’t it have made more sense if Fluke had made an appearance at that time? There must have been a plethora of abnormal activity manifested in Luke’s behavioral pattern. Then again, storylines never get resolved….even from decades ago.
When TPTB think of a fantastical storyline, including the metaphysical, they pluck insensible ideas out of the blue, and run with it. When it is realized that they are running in circles without rational thought, stupid storylines and thoughts without substance are invented and thrown in. The writers have created this haphazardly sewn ‘patchwork’ with all the threads left hanging.
As I said…no real beginning, middle or end…..I agree with AJQ….I do not buy this sudden mystery in Luke’s past. I am not suggesting that one’s upbringing and environment do not contribute to one’s behavior…yes, they do; in a big way. However, some people are born with a defective brain nonetheless. Insanity is an illness….nothing to joke about….or ridiculed as it has been done with Fluke/Luke. The writers should have presented the story with sensitivity and without giving the audience provocation to verbally rebel. But, they started this story which turned into Frankenstein’s monster….but, did not know what do do with it when push came to shove. Am I rambling? LOL.
My argument lies directly with the people who have constructed this storyline. ….WRITERS, if this is the venue you had in mind, it failed miserably….all you needed to do was make it a bit realistic. What was the point of all the shenanigans? ….cryogenics, Robin’s fake death, Jason on ice , along with Stavros and Helena ( I am waiting for Victor to resurface) etc. it reinforces my belief that the writers wrote it as they went along.
Even when I was younger, I always questioned everything and anything that did not sIt well with me…drove the adults nuts. I liked the storyline at the onset…then, it dragged on forever; the ridiculousness of it annoying and boring me. I like GH very much, but the Fluke story consumed 99% of the show…know what I mean?
Thus, one cannot do this to adult viewers with a modicum of intelligence.
Furthermore, for those who say some of us bitch and carp, it is our sense of reason….not insolence; just a plausible, intelligent and flowing story…..that’s all.
Now that I have ‘regurgitated’ my grievances (LOL), I bid you a sun-shining Sunday…time for Church.

I am ready and excited to find out what made Luke split !!!
We have not seen Luke for a very long time, I miss him !
I did enjoy Tony playing the role of Fluke, he was more than awesome!
Tony gave an astounding performance as Fluke, even made my skin crawl a couples of time BRAVO!!
but I am happy to say goodbye to Fluke and have Luke back..

I am soooo ready for the truth of it all Wednesday !!

He was a transsexual serial killer??? He stole Bobbi’s Botox…He wore Leslie’s dress and wig and slept with Rick??? He raped Scotty??..I did it…I’m sorry…that says a whole lot…and whole lotta nuthin!!!

If that extraordinary hour is how one of them ended up in a wheelchair..or they had another sibling he killed accidentally while trying to kill their father…or he accidentally killed their mother instead of his father is probably what the scenery chewing is all about..irregardless it will be something we haven’t ever been privy to and just have to accept…but i think he killed their mom trying to kill his dad.

mark this post Su0000 while i’m taking a bow!!!

Or he killed their father…that bat figures into it that’s for sure..still tucked away in that abandoned house…A+B=RC

Now thats a GH id want to watch but if Luke raped Scotty thats enough to prove he is nuts—hope he had his shots—Luke did bite off more of Scotty than he can chew—that is more of Scotty id ever want…lol

That’s a great point, Dave. If Luke accidentally killed his mother by mistake, that means that his father is still alive? Will he show up out of nowhere? …..or has he somehow ‘entered’ Luke’s body a’ la Cassadine? LOL. Let’s keep an eye out for him.
Seriously, though. I think the possibility that Luke killed his mother trying to kill his father, makes so much sense.

Love, love, love your scenarios–makes more sense than this protrated and nonsensical–and very dour storyline.
What happened to GH?

What happened to Tony Geary? Why is he such a misanthrope? What did we viewere do to him–except to love him as Luke, that funny, frenetic, gentle, endearing character that he created? And still no mention of Laura in all this nonsence? Unforgiveable! Note to Genie Francis: We are sad not to see you with the Luke and Laura we loved so much. And we know you are probably as sad as the viewers to see this whole, perverted storyline play out so ignominiously. Sad way to see TG end his career–with his foremerly beloved fans hating this character he has created so very much. Exit. Curtin drop. No curtain call. No applause. Dark stage. The End.

I would like to see Luke have many personalities not just Fluke– I think it would be wonderful to watch TG play all kinds of people coming out one right after the other once the secret is revealed. It would be like Fluke was the keeper of the vault, but once the secret is reveal he can’t stop all the personalities from wanting to speak about their perspective of the event. What that event doesn’t matter, I just hope to see him play everything from a little baby, an animal, a woman, ethnic character, an old man, and everything in between. If they had a scene like that it would guarantee him a Emmy next year and be really impressed.

i think he’s got 3. there’s luke we all know… there was fluke the cad… and there was the seemingly child like luke we saw I jail. crying and freaking out being in jail. but that’s just my take on it so far.

He’s already an old man, was playing an animal(a dog) around Kiki, and acts like a big baby most other times, and i bet he secretly tried on Tracys clothes off screen so he mostly already played some of those parts you mentioned…lol

But does making an Emmy for Tony make for good storytelling, or just senseless, ego-driven, sensationalism? I know soaps can be a little fantastical at times, good/bad acting or not, but this one slid over the cliff for some of us. Hate to see Tony leave this way.

Oh I never said it was good storytelling, but at this point if I can’t have a good story I want to watch outstanding acting, which the scene I mentioned would do for me. I am expecting to be disappointed in whatever explanation they come up with, so me, to salvage this whole mess, is to give Tony a great scene that will win him the Emmy, since that is why this whole story was created. If this is his swan song I want to be impressed and since the story jumped the shark long ago, the only thing to redeem it for me now, is if they give him one hellva scene to act his you know what off. All your points are valid, and I agree with them but I’m trying to make lemonade out lemons here that’s all.

I think you hit the nail on the head Rose…this is all to satisfy Tony Geary’s ego. I’ve had enough!
I used to like Luke, but at this point, I wish the rumors about AG retiring were true.

The one thing they will not be able to explain is the story that we sat through for over a year. It will be hard to watch this reveal and what looks like will be emotional scenes and not have them clouded and diminished by the story we were given. If Luke had a break and acted insane because of something from his childhood, a terrible incident, that could have been interesting. The reveal could be emotional. But it will be hard, because they gave us Fluke, a homicidal maniac intent on taking down Sonny to assume the position of mobster/ kingpin who wanted to blow up his entire family.

If you didn’t sit through all of that, you might be able to buy this. The story dragged on for so long, that TPTB hope that all the inconsistencies and holes, all the absolute nonsense of Fluke grabbing Kiki’s ass and Ashton inserted and getting the mask, they hope that most of it is forgotten.

Was the Luke mental illness, sister Pat story known to these writers in February 2014 when we first met Fluke? When Fluke was vowing to take down Sonny, when it was all about Sonny, when he looked to the heavens and promised someone he would do just that? I strongly doubt it. And if it was, shame on the writers for writing such a disconnected and incoherent narrative for that story, for any story really.

This just needs to end and unfortunately it ends with Luke Spencer and his legacy severely damaged. Not because he may have suffered a break due to some mental illness, but because of the story that was told. It’s one thing to have mental illness and engage in questionable behavior. It is another thing to be a homicidal lunatic. Charles Manson is a homicidal lunatic that suffers from mental illness. His illness does not excuse him or gain him any sympathy, nor does Luke’s.

TPTB at GH have come in and destroyed the most famous male soap character of all time and all the great memories that his fans accumulated for almost 40 years. Taking charge GH and its characters is a privilege and it should be done with respect to those who created such a wonderful legacy and to the fans that supported it. What has been done to Luke and to many other aspects of GH in the last three years is just a shame and beyond words.

And if, from what I read, was that Tony was on board and stayed with GH a little longer after being told the gist of the storyline because he liked the challenge of the part, this makes me sad.

Could it be because despite the fame, fortune and accolades this role brought to Geary, he also deeply resents Luke’s “larger than life presence” which may have, at least to his way of thinking, robbed him of the chance to go on to bigger and better things? Perhaps being typecast as the anti-hero Lucas Lorenzo Spencer for over three decades has been an unwelcome albatross around his neck all these years, and now this is his vehicle for symbolically slaying that beast by destroying this long-beloved character once and for all? It’s just a thought….but I’ve always perceived that AG viewed Luke’s legendary status as a double-edged sword, a burden to bear, so to speak. That’s not to say that he isn’t grateful for the gift of GH (or his loyal fans) that have kept on giving to him throughout his illustrious daytime career, but I’ve never gotten the impression that he harbors the same kind of affection for Luke that say, Susan Lucci does for Erica Kane, or any other actor/actress known for such an iconic soap opera role is wont to do. There’s just always been an oddly-unspoken something about his attitude toward his character that I couldn’t quite put my finger on.

Yet, it seems most likely, AJQ, that what the bosses are trying to do is just that…now portraying Luke as this lost , mentally ill man as a pathetic ,pitiful and remorseful being, in order to redeem him.
As you so well explain it, TPTB are hoping we have forgotten the ridiculousness and unreality of Fluke’s behavior;…of Helena’s unexplained link to Fluke, the unreasonable use of Faison.
When I suggested that the writers themselves had no clue where this stupid storyline was going, I was unceremoniously shut down by a couple of posters; while others agreed. the writers just pulled ‘ideas’ out of their, uhmmm…..brains on a day to day basis.
And, as such…because there was no thought behind the plot, the storyline did not flow. There must be an introduction to any plot, followed by the body ( the story itself) and the conclusion needs to specifically reflect the introduction. Nothing about this story is tied together. A good writer makes sure that every character’s appearance has a purpose and is directly linked to the main character’s dilemma/drama…..in this case, Luke’s horrific past ( whatever that may be). That is good writing, as any English professor will tell his students.

As you indicate, AJQ, Luke’s story could have been told in a more cohesive, more emotional manner….where the audience became part of the story….feeling the bittersweet memories of Luke’s childhood amidst the horrors and sorrows of his past. As it is, and as you point out, we feel no sympathy…why? There has been a plethora of goings-on by so many different characters who had nothing to do with any of this. The result? Our brain is now numb and we want to be done with it.

I just hope we are treated to some flashbacks of Luke’s brutal childhood but i wont hold my breath—with the intro of Patricia i bet the storyline will drag on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on…sorry CeeCee…i could go on and on and on about the Fluke story going on and on and on…but im certain you know that already…lol

Thank you for saying it for me, AJQ. I couldn’t even touch upon this giant heap of self canceling details because it’s too exhausting.

I don’t know…there ARE other ways to look at this. One way is that legacy Luke is sorta ruined because detestable Fluke was played out so brilliantly by Geary. The fact is, whatever, however this story ends…it was a journey. Soaps are journeys. They’re not one/two episode deals that succinctly wrap up…they do go on and on an on…

This particular story became a source of contention because we got no closer to who Fluke was. Again, a double-edged sword. It set the ground for much speculation…like a game show we searched for clues as to who this abhorrent creature can be, all the while hating and being repulsed by everything he did, every look he gave. Again, that’s a tribute to AG’s acting. And yes, we all know that it stopped, started, took a turn and came back again due to Geary’s absense, and there are things that were ridiculous like how did anyone close to him not know something was amiss. But we can say the same thing about Jake/Jason. How do the women that loved him sense nothing…how do they not pick up any innate feeling that brings up Jason’s being. Cause…it’s a soap.

As for ruining the character of Luke, not so sure. People change. People age, they get sick, they get dementia. Sometimes, the people we love are not the people we know today. How many parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, public figures are unrecognizable due to illness? How many sweet-tempered people wind up shouting or acting out in nursing homes and are unrecognizable to the family that’s known them and loved them their whole lives. Does it mean the man/woman, friend/relative, wife, husband, father, daughter…on and on…are wiped out of memory? No, you hold on to the memory of the person he/she once was, and you realize the person acting out in front of you is no longer who they once were…robbed of memories, actions, etc.

Perhaps this will be the way for Luke. Perhaps we will find out a secret so horrendous that we can excuse the man we recoiled from on and off this past year…and remember Luke who brought so many exciting, funny, charming, disarming, adventures to GH. Perhaps Geary will stay on to bring us back to that time, perhaps they’ll do it in flashbacks…Either way, he doesn’t have to be ruined…just damaged….And for that maybe we’ll have one big group hug, wave a nostalgic farewell to Luke Spencer…and accept that nothing and no one stays the same….

Amen and Amen!

That wa sawesome Rebecca1!!!

Oh, thank you, madluv4u!

It’s reached the point a while back I didn’t care anymore because I don’t like the story at all, and how writers deranged Luke/Tony to play the character(s). As far as Fluke, spring can’t come soon enough to Port Charles, and blow away the dark winter and cobwebs.

Or as Rhett Butler might say, “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a da*n”

Yes, Rose–or Jimmy crack corn and I don’t care.

Yes, Rose. Lulu would be devastated by this. She would carry the guilt of her father. A very heavy cross to bear/carry. But, I just cannot see it because of their ages. The writers are stuck….damned if they do and damned if they don’t. It cannot be anyone other than the father. However, it may not be rape at all. In all probability, as dmr says, Luke killed his father. Finally, after a year, the story has some substance. But, I still want it over, sooner than later.
Where is Lucky? I do not know him at all. But, it would make a lot of sense for him to be in PC, not only for his sister, but also for his father. A

Cee Cee…Here’s my newest, sort of far-out speculation for a little comic relief fom thi long, drawn out storyline…I had another epiphany you can only get at the witching hour, 3 am in the morning. Since the big reveal is on April Fools Day, we will find out it has all been a dream…that Luke finally wakes up from all of the stuff that was done to him at the “hospital/clinics” he was held at when this all started. To add a Jimh touch, the more sensitive Olbrecht helped pull him out of it, her witches outfit from the GH Christmas party turning into he regular hospital garb. No I didn’t have a bad dream last night, but I’m sure we’ve all had those weird ones where we….will stop here.

he killed either his dad, or mom or both by accident, or was molested, who knows lets just hope its good and convincing, the show has alot of explaining to do and skeptical if RC can deliver to satisfy so many question that will follow after the reveal.

I will definitely watch the episode as I’ve waited so long for the answer to the “FLUKE” question, however, I’m close to not caring anymore. This is one time when dragging on a story caused many, many hours of fast forwarding on my DVR or turning away to other shows during Luke scenes.

I hope the build up won’t end in disappointment.

Ditto, Carolyn. I didn’t find much excitement in the Luke, Fluke storyline – it’s drowned on way too long. The multiple personality thing has seemed to wipe out signs of the Luke we know and loved for decades. So little was done with the storylines. The show for the last couple of days where he’s waiving a gun in a room in a convalescent home. Dante still hasn’t got himself over there, he never called for backup, let Lulu go there alone. Called the Mayberry Security Guards at the home… GH has gone low budget. I remember the days of Luke and Robert Scorpio where they’d take a plot like this to hostage scenes, getaway scenes in helicopters. GH has gone low budget and in many cases, it shows in the plot scenes.

Well I guess we are in for one heck of a Wednesday. story line has been awesome thank you too Tony and the writers. I believe that he did something bad to Patricia it looked like shes in a wheel chair. well Tony will be missed forever and never forgotten on GH.

The problem with all this happening on Wed., April 1st is that it’s April 1st, aka, April Fools Day. Are we just being played again? Is Luke going to face the screen at the end and say–Is this really what happened? Wouldn’t YOU like to know…Stay Tuned…

Coincidence or purposely done, connie? Didn’t even realize Wednesday is April 1st. Good point!

Yeah, TPTB are just that mean-spirited. Wouldn’t doubt it a bit if they pull a “stunt” like that. Again, I ask: What have the viewers done to TPTB and to TG that they should treat us so shabbily? Where would they be without viewers?????

I would say it is probably a similar story RC wrote for OLTL and we know it connects to the baseball bat probably killed Mom by mistake . I hope TG is happy they managed to destroy everything about the Luke & Laura era. For me and I think a lot of viewers he can’t leave soon enough off the canvas. Bye

Amen, I say again!

i think that luke was trying to protect his mother from his drunken father & he accidentally hit his mom with the baseball bat & she died…………………..jmo

I think Tim Spencer raped Patricia…and got her pregnant, and Luke was the result! Patricia kept it secret, because she knew no one would believe her! Her mother was so beaten down from the abuse, she was no help to Patricia. But she knew what Tim had done. One day the whole sordid secret came to a head…during a huge argument between a drunken Tim, Lena snd Patricia… When Luke found out that he was the product of his sister’s rape by their father. Tim went berserk…and nearly killed Patricia, Luke bashed in Tim’s brains with a baseball bat! That’s what spawned his alternate personality. Patricia stayed around to help put her son/brother back together. Luke was catatonic. Patricia buried the body in the backyard…Luke then buried his alternate personality and remembered nothing. Patricia decided she had to leave her family for good, so Luke would never remember what happened and that he was the product of Tim raping and impregnating her. This is why is raping Laura was something he couldn’t face. (Laura — BTW IS SORELY NEEDED IN THIS STORY! HELLO?) Patricia has had a hard life with this secret festering inside and rotting away at her soul leading to several serious illnesses, this one at present being the latest and most serious.

If Patricia were in her eighties, Mickey, your premise would have held ground. But, Luke is supposed to be how old? I would say between 65 and 70. Patricia, a few years older. I would say two or three. Not more than that because he looks much older. So, TPTB would really look idiotic if they make Patricia old enough to be impregnated by the father and give birth to Luke….not feasible, age-wise. In real life, Anthony is actually older than Dee….but, it is a soap, so a couple of years doesn’t really matter, but ten year, in this case, makes a big difference.
Patricia would not have been old enough to become pregnant. As I said, she would have had to be at least 10-12 years old….
Furthermore, assuming Patricia is in her 80’s, how could she possibly have a daughter (Valerie) in her twenties?
LOL…I’m starting to confuse myself. Do I make any sense at all?

I had originally thought that Tim had raped Patricia and that resulted in Patricia giving birth to Bobbie. Bobbie is always mentioning how much younger she is than Patricia and how she does not remember much from her childhood. CeeCee, when I originally thought this, I too, thought that the ages would not match-up; then; I remembered this is a soap-ages never seem to match-up! HAHA! Who knows with this storyline…I just hope the campiness ends.

Or what if, God forbid, Luke is Pat’s rapist and Bobbie is HIS daughter? I’m not quite sure how much of an age difference there is purported to be amongst these “siblings,” but at this point, I cannot imagine that even finding out that the Spencer patriarch was an incestuous sexual predator would pack that much of a punch, and it also wouldn’t explain why Patricia left for parts unknown and abandoned the family if Luke had simply acted in the best interest of his sisters. There has to be much more than Puke simply killing his pappy or his mammy in a fit of rage or self-defense and covering it up…..I’m expecting a denouement so sordid and lurid that everything that has transpired up until now with this miserable miscreant will look like child’s play. At any rate, I certainly hope that the end for this appalling storyline is nigh…..it’s past time to put this twisted freak show to rest.

If any of the rape theories and a possible pregnancy are true that comments have been speculating on, think of how it would affect Lulu. And where’s Lucky!

Boy, Dee Wallace Stone looks absolutely fabulous! If she has been so sick and troubled how come she looks so much younger than her “younger” siblings???
She is a warm and wonderful actress and could possibly save the storyline–but it’s the dumbest storyline ever–so it would be a Herculean effort–to no avail, I’m afraid.
If TG didn’t like daytime and/or Luke, why didn’t he take his talent elsewhere instead of destroying GH, the legacy of Luke, a CHARACTER HE ORIGINALLY CREATED–along with Gloria Monty and Genie Francis, the acting partner he touted for years only to later throw her aside like used Kleenex.

She couldve adopted Valerie…

@jimh.
Hi jimh,
I did say that, Jimh a few posts ago. Patricia could have adopted Valerie.

Leading up to Wednesdays show I have a comment about this past week when Lulu told Dante about her new cousin and Tracy told Bobbi about her new niece. Either one of them said that Valerie was black. It is so freakin weird. I mean, your whole family is white and you meet Patricia’s daughter and neither of them says, “Yeah, we didnt find Patricia but we did meet her daughter, a Spencer, and she is Black”, hmmm? Very odd.

I think Dante is written to be the dumbest cop on the block. NuLulu has not grown on me. I find them to be utterly boring. Sad. Since NuLulu has taken over the role, Dante and Lulu have become once a week “filler.”

I never liked Dumbte and Lulu has to be Julie Berman. Lulu should be written more like the old Luke and be a free spirit. Her and her husband are the quintessential paint drying on the wall.

Well, dmr, Lulu needs to go back to Y&R and be Abby again. She brought the character to life. The present Abby is horrible.
Dante was just puttering around in that apartment….”Tell me, Valerie…which way did he go?” Duh? He should have made a beeline straight for the door, out of there as soon as he found out where Luke had gone. But, no…he is asking stupid questions, wasting time. LOL.

I still say GH totally missed the boat in not casting Julie Marie Berman as Valerie. That would have made such an interesting juxtaposition seeing OldLulu and NuLulu playing off each other as cousins, not to mention watching Puke brutalize his “niece” in the form of the same actress who had once portrayed his beloved daughter. Epic casting fail….

I was so aggravated with Dante and Lulu-asking the poor girl with a head trauma where Oak Hill was located-hello? Use your phones to call the police. An ambulance. Then, “brave” and feisty Lulu, who by the way has a small child, goes and chases after her mentally unstable father. This is all just so absurd. I am wondering, that if all after all is said and done-mental break and all-with anyone be in the need of therapy? I would think having your brother, father, husband hold you at gunpoint, after trying to blow you up on a boat-that you would need a little “help” yourselves. So convuluted.

Oh, I agree, Timmm. It would have been a very natural and probable observation and utterance. I am assuming TPTB are being politically correct? Doesn’t make sense to me either….and, it does strike me as weird, as well.

This is true, CeeCee, but we’ve now crossed the pc rubicon to such an extent that one cannot even state the highly obvious without being accused of some sort of “ism.” Just look at how certain individuals here repeatedly get their knickers in a twist over our cheeky–but valid–observations…..I told you before that the carping and pontificating would never end, and it hasn’t. I swear, sometimes I feel like Michael Douglas’ character in “Fatal Attraction” when Glenn Close’s “Alex Forrest” castigated him with that famous utterance, “Dan, I will NOT be ignored!” LOL…..

I agree, Timmm. Noticed it immediately. I, too, think it’s TPTB trying to make it a non-issue not worth mentioning…which then has the opposite effect because it’s so obvious they didn’t mention it.

Yes, Shay, from your perspective your self-proclaimed “cheeky”/ my perspective NOT valid observations never end…even as witnessed by you once again just mentioning it. Give it a rest. Try using the “creative flair” you revel in to write something positive about ANYONE or anything on the show…you’ve become just one long, drawn out complaint.

Good points made by many. Poor writing. Legacy character destroyed. No Laura. So glad I have stopped watching.

I liked the storyline up to a point. At some point they needed to reference Laura and Lucky. There is no way that Lulu woukd have endured all the Fluke stuff without callling Laura for insight and advice.

Luke is a very good actor.hope all ends
well.

I think that Tim Spencer was sexually abusing Patricia, while also physically abusically his wife, Luke, and Bobbie. I’m not sure of the age difference between Patricia and Bobbie; perhapys Patricia is Bobbie’s mother? Depends on the age gap, I suppose. I think Luke did his best to defend his mother and siblings and murdered Tim Spencer in self-defense. I think his mental break will further redeem him from raping Laura, his battle with alcholism over the years, mob ties, being an absentee father at times, and running down Jake , etc., etc., etc.
I am about two weeks (plus) behind on the show-at the point where Luke bit Scotty’s ear off-another campy, ridiculous, pointless storyline. If not for Kin Shriner’s comedic banter, I would have fast forward through those scenes/episodes. The storylines have been downright insulting to the viewers-ridiculous.

At this juncture, dmr, I’m not sure anything can redeem Puke from his past misdeeds….particularly those which we have witnessed over these last few years. On the other hand, I am more curious as to whether the show runners have enough of an April 1st showstopper in the bag to deserve redemption for putting the viewers through the endless red herrings, dropped plots and campy hijinks to which we’ve been subjected during this seemingly endless Fluke fiasco.

Hi,Shay, girl.
True, true, true, and Lol to the FATAL ATTRACTION reference. I am entitled to my opinions. When the moderating committee sees fit to discard my posts, sobeit. I understand, and accept its decision. I will continue airing my thoughts with respect and discretion. We are critiquing characters, plot lines, scenarios etc. not insulting fellow-posters. That respect should be reciprocated, but if it isn’t? Well, no sweat. I do not care!!!! However, I pick and choose whose posts I decide to read. The premise of these sites is to agree, disagree, give our opinions, good or bad….right?
I will not allow anyone taking the pleasure out of my enjoyment of posting and interacting with all my poster friends. We cannot all be of one mind. Then, there would be no point discussing anything. Furthermore, my words get twisted and taken out of context. Most of the time, I bounce my thoughts off Gran.
You cannot even imagine how appreciative I am of Michael Fairman for these sites. It is a dream come true for me. I just simply love it. Bullies are beneath my intelligence and are inconsequential in my life. …not worth my time. How pathetic. I am young and beautiful…and, cocky…double LOL.
Aaaaanywaaaay…….this age thing between the Spencer siblings is really bugging me. I think they are all very close in age. I think dmr’s scenario makes the most sense.
I do not think Bobbie is Luke’s. He is just too young to be her father, and too young to have raped Patricia. He is supposedly younger, right? He would have been just a little boy. There is too much of an age discrepancy. The preview shows Luke being repentant about something. We shall see. Later, Shay, Shay.

I agree, dmr. I love Scotty too. I think he and Alexis, coupled with Franco and Nina(though Nina not so much) crack me up. I did not like Scotty at first, but now I just positively adore his boyish self…for some inexplicable reason, I want to hug him. Doesn’t he seem so huggable, though? LOL.

I adore Scotty; always have. Kin Shriner is comedic gold! I would love to hug him too! 🙂

Of course Scotty is huggable, CeeCee……he’s a “manchichi!!!!!” LOL….

I am between a rock and a hard place. Luke is too old to be Patricia’s son but too young to be Bobbie’s father. Does that make any sense?…..grrrrrrr…..I want to screeeeam!!!!
I hope it all really comes to a head on Wednesday.

@CeeCee….Yes, I totally agree that mutual respect is essential here at MFSoaps, and I’ve always tried to personally adhere to that policy, as do you and most of the others with whom I correspond. I take no issue with someone if they don’t agree with me, but their disagreement needs to be demonstrated in a cordial manner and be substantive in their reasoning, not just a nasty attack because we don’t happen to share the exact same points of view or values. Hence, like you, I’ve tended to simply ignore those posts which do not extend the same courtesies….however, when it becomes plainly obvious that there are those who feel the ongoing need to condescendingly lecture (to us…) as a strident, self-appointed arbiter of what’s permissible in thoughts and opinions, then I feel the need to stand up and call it out. There seems to be a concerted effort to bully and intimidate the few of us who are strong-willed enough to speak our minds on certain subjects, and I have quite frankly had enough of it. I saw this pattern happen with you first, particularly the repeated re-hashings of past incidents and uncalled-for snippy little asides and allusions, and now we are both being similarly referenced. It’s utterly ridiculous, so yes, I have finally chosen to address it in my own way, since I have no desire to continue the tiresome debate that some appear to wish to remain endless. Having said that, yes, I am in complete unanimity that one shouldn’t allow anybody to rob us of the joy of posting here….it is generally a fun, fulfilling experience, not just swapping observations, but “meeting” others who may (or may not…) share like thoughts. It’s been an especially big kick to discover gifted, intelligent people like yourself, even though we may sometimes get a bit too enthusiastic and exuberant in our expressions…yet, that is exactly why there are moderators to do their job as they see fit….it’s all well and good as far as I’m concerned. Anyway, I applaud your sunny attitude, CeeCee, and hope that now that I’ve aired my exasperation we can once and for all move on to the larger matter at hand: the great Fluke denouement….what say you? Any new theories after today’s episode??? When Luke “returned” to his more familiar form, Patricia seemed sincerely pleased by his presence….so if he did something so unspeakably aberrant, would she have been as serene and happy???? I’m now more perplexed than before, but I will say that Dee Wallace added an almost angelic presence to this scenario….and she does look absolutely wonderful…even younger than her so-called baby siblings, in fact! Jane Elliot also was superb….I’m so glad to see her getting her commanding “Tracy mojo” back….and I loved her colorful jacket and newer, more flattering hairstyle. (Oh, by the way, for the record, the difference in her age and Ian Buchanan’s is roughly identical to that of Alexis and Julian, so why should it be so unthinkable that Ms. Quartermaine would have made a suitable partner for Duke???? Just asking, since I do believe her “fling-mate,” Joseph, aka Joe Scully Jr., was quite a bit younger than her, too. I realize this question may be academic if Mr. Lavery is indeed on his way out, but I truly could not comprehend why this coupling seemed such an outlandish notion!)

@dmr.
Hi, dmr.
You are so right, soaps do manipulate the characters’s ages……backwards, forwards…every-which-way, at their convenience. But, not with Luke. He is just too old and he looks it. The writers would look endlessly foolish if they attempted to even suggest Luke is Patricia’s son. No way.
Bobbie makes a lot more sense. Biologically some girls start menstruating at ten…I know this first hand…LOL.
So, it is very possible for Patricia to have given birth to Bobbie, assuming Patricia is in her early 70’s. (Not in real life).
I trust your theory. You are usually spot on, as so many other fellow-posters are. I also believe that the father was so abusive that Luke just snapped and consequently erased the nightmare from his mind. It happens all the time in reality. Great post. Later.

@Shay.
Good morning, Shay,
Just a couple of words….need to get my son out the door…. livery will be here any minute.
Lol, Shay, with reference to your last sentence ? …..because some people have the need to bully and pick on something , regardless of what it is, no matter what.
I just hope the moderators do see it as bullying and do something about it.
As yourself, I honestly do not read certain posts, I ‘m into love and peace, not war. However, when someone purposely sends you messages in your inbox, or addresses you personally, it becomes quite inevitable. That is infringing on my rights and privacy. Some people have issues and angst that they must have a victim on a daily basis to appease whatever they lack in their life….well, not at my expense. I will not sit around and take it. God gave me a voice and a brain.

Okay….Shat, TPTB can try to ‘fix’ the idiocy of the Fluke/Luke storyline all they want. As I keep saying, ad nauseam, Fluke is still navigating the air…….nothing with that storyline has been resolved for me. As far as I am concerned, the present Luke story is not a continuation of Fluke, but a new book entirely….not even a new chapter of the same book.
I repeat…..there should have been a more cohesive way to have arrived at this point in Luke’s life.
I am not buying anything put before me. Yes, of course i will watch. I am enjoying the “drama”; the superlative acting of Luke, Tracy, and Dee. My contention, as I have enumerated seven times, is not with the actors. Perhaps I expect too much….nonetheless, I am tired of watching cartoons…..and Luke as the roadrunner and Sloane Wile E. Cayote.

Sorry, not Shat, lol…SHAY…that’s what happens when you type in a hurry.

Well, CeeCee, the problem is that my inbox has been getting more and more of those unwelcome responses, and even though I did not explicitly state that I no longer wished to be addressed, I’m still not in the least bit interested. (Besides, I doubt it would have made a difference, anyway….both your sister and you placed that request and it wasn’t honored, so I figured I would just tolerate the good with the bad simply as part of the privilege of posting here…) But having said that, I no longer directly reply, which I think actually fuels the appetite for attention….hence the “Fatal Attraction” reference. At any rate, water under the bridge….on to today’s GH? Was it well-acted? Yes! Riveting? Okay, yeah…BUT did it truly connect the dots and explain all the Fluke nonsense that we’ve endured for months on end? No, not really. In retrospect, I think it would have been far easier to just call in a priest and conduct an exorcism on Puke some time ago….LOL. But seriously….I was expecting a more spectacular reveal….something extremely tawdry and disgusting, given the sleazy nature of the Fluke character. What we learned is that the Spencer patriarch was a hard-drinking, wife-beating, low-rent lout—who got what he deserved—actually not that out-of-the-ordinary stuff compared to the lascivious, far-fetched antics of his wayward son. Hence, while the tragic explanation for what actually made Luke crack was finally put to paid, and the (unintentional) matricide-patricide angle may eventually garner some residual sympathy for the character, I’m not necessarily satisfied that many of my numerous questions have been answered… or ever will be. Still, Geary served up a masterful dual-performance and overall, the show was well-done. The child actors were superb…quite credible as the characters they portrayed, and Laura Wright was oddly convincing as the anti-Carly, “Lena.” (It also finally explained why Ms. Jacks looks nothing like Bobbie….) As for Patricia, when she was clutching her crucifix necklace, I wondered if perhaps she had become a nun after her departure from Port Charles, and perhaps left the order to rear a foundling she had encountered there….Valerie? Would make sense. Lastly, I thought Liz was a real vision in her vintage ’60’s nurses’ garb….I’ve said before that RH is a timeless beauty and that just proved it! So glad she was accorded the honor of saluting the original GH! All in all, it was an absorbing glimpse into the past….I must applaud this Cartini effort, as the attention to detail they put into this special episode was apparent. Just hope that continues until this Fluke farce reaches its much desired end. Stay tuned…..

@Shay.
It never crossed my mind that Patricia could have been a nun. You are right, that little gesture spoke volumes. Furthermore, the notion that Valerie is adopted has been meandering in my head for a while. Jimh had the same idea, actually.
Yes, all the actors/actresses superseded my expectations. At first, I didn’t even recognize Laura Wright in her wig. She looked great…I liked that look.
And, Elizabeth looked almost ethereal…so beautiful in her retro nurse’s garb. A double round of applause for everyone.
Coincidentally, Jude and I are watching an old episode of CSI NY….guest stars; FINOLA HUGHES and CHARLES SHAUNESSEY.

The idea of a year being too long for a story to unfold (particularly since there was the gap due to Tony Geary’s health) just shows how you-tubed/mtvd (old video days) and short attention spanned the audience has become.

Mental illness can come in waves. Some alters can have knowledge of what others do. Luke could have been influenced by his mental illness in raping Laura but fully conscious of it and responsible for it–it doesn’t negate decades of the story of that couple, including her confronting him decades later. (remember Laura was a very wounded soul who was molested by a much older man before even scotty came into her life (was it a boyfriend of leslie’s that she killed a teen). She could have been drawn to Luke’s better sides (not selves) more than she had a sense of self preservation and self respect that would have kept her from ever falling for her rapist. She has had a long haul toward mental health as well. It would be incredible to have her involved with his ultimate healing if whatever contract negotiations and previous difficulties could be transcended. but Genie has made it clear that she doesn’t want to come back to simply be an appendage or a plot device for Luke so that might not come to pass.

I don’t mind the meandering. Clearly Luke has always been smart so the idea that he would repeatedly cover his tracks with red herrings (faison, larry ashton) does not seem far fetched. And while the public face was always, for a long time, bringing down Sonny, that could have been the cover for his being hell bent on destroying his old family. It would be nice if there would be some more backstory on why Fluke hated Sonny or wanted power from him [maybe it really was that deep down he was never comfortable with the heroics, ice princess, mayor, noble Luke; never felt he deserved a friend like Robert, or loves like Laura, Holly or even Tracy) so he had to set those relationships to destruct mode.

My wish: they find a way to weave in Robert and Laura as part of the swan song if Geary is retiring after all this. If y&r can share eileen davidson with days, then surely they can share tristan rogers with GH.

And I for one do not feel pissy about people taking long vacations. The days of soaps being an all consuming lucrative means of employment are gone. Actors need the ability to find other work. The stigma of being a soap actor is also largely gone so the idea of loyayty to us soap fans being a choice of soaps vs. “graduating” to prime time or film is also a thing of the past. If it means Anna, and Ric, and Bobbie can swing through our screens, and that a variety of plot lines can be tried out, I am all for it.

Yes, would have loved to see the interaction with Robert and, of course, Laura–no better actors to improvise with–as Luke used to do; he was so very quick on the uptake.

For me, after putting up with this story line for over a year, it’s the difference between ignorance and apathy: I don’t know and I don’t care.

Here, here, Andy….best post, yet….brief and to the point!!!!…succinct!!

I had another epiphany you can only get at the witching hour, 3 am in the morning.

Wow, Rose…..something like the finale of the ROSEANNE SHOW. Her world had all been a dream. I like your epiphany…..oh, that Jimh …he knows everything!!!!LOL.

But Rose and CeeCee, isnt it April Fools Day everyday on GH…lol

Lol, jimh…yeah…April fool’s day everyday….also GH is like a box of chocolates; so on and so forth.

Yeah, as I said in an earlier post, I agree that they would pull a stunt like that. Guess ABC suits could pull another stunt and cancel the whole shebang.

Oh, my gosh….you think the ‘suits’ would do that, Nancy? I understand how you feel and what you’re saying….this entire Fluke fiasco has left a bitter taste in my mouth too.
I will think positive thoughts….hoping against hope that GH is here to stay and , in the near future, will offer us storylines and characters we will absolutely love.

Nancy, springs coming. I know some of us wonder if the other shoe will drop, but let’s try to think positive.

Everyday is April Fools Day on GH…lol

Right on, Jimh (leave it to beaver).

TPTB and Tony Geary blew it today. They had a great change to preserve the legacy of perhaps the greatest character ever created on daytime and they blew it. I thought they were going there but they blew it. How much greater the story would have been if Bill Eckert had gone back to the house with Patricia, witnessed Luke and his drunken father Tim in a violent fight and had himself picked up the baseball bat and struck, and therefore killed him. and he and Patricia had put the body of Tim in the wall in the Spencer house. But no, TPTB, as usual, had to go for the sensational and thus destroy the legacy character of Luke Spencer by taking him to the “dark side, sully the image of the “Spencer kids,” Luke and Bobbie, who strove to–and succeeded in, overcoming their difficult childhool and made them victims of it. What a negative image to project, ending forever the legacy of Luke Spencer. Furthermore, they have violated another beloved character’s legacy: that of Steve Hardy. No way would Dr. Hardy have not reported the violence done to Lena Spencer. Thus, an investigation would have taken place. Another troublesome elephant in the room: the best time for any “reveal” would have been when Luke first met, he thought, his cousin Bill when Bill was on the ground dying because he had been mistaken for Luke and been shot. If seeing Bill’s face (in effect, his own) would not have brought back Luke’s trauma, nothing would.
Eulogy for Luke Spencer, beloved legacy character: Goodby quick-witted, nimble-footed Luke who had the greatest capacity to love–to love his sister Barbara Jean, his beloved Aunt Ruby, his most cherished Laura, his children Lucky and Lulu–yes, even Foster the dog. Goodby to Luke who love himself while freely admitting to his own foibles, and who engendered more love and admiration from his fans than any other character in daytime history. Goodby to Tony Geary who created the most memorable, indelible character in the history of daytime television–and more loyalty from fan for such a long time–while, confoundingly, appearing to be indifferent to them–even to deride them and sell them short. We loved the character of Luke and we loved the actor Tony Geary. Goodby to both of them. I, and perhaps many other fans, followed TG from “Bright Promise,” where he created the appealing and sympathetic character of David. We are your fans, Tony. We do know the difference between the characters you created and the actor you are, even if you have scoffed at us and rediculed us along the way. We were your loyal fans always. Farewell, goodby, and good luck.

I agree with your criticisms and disappointment of how this played out Nancy, as well as your admiration for Tony as an actor. As far as the character, however, he was always so schizophrenic that I its hard for me to be disappointed in him at this point. I remember when I first started watching GH, in 1997, and I thought Luke was one of the “good guys” because he was friends with Sonny and Jason. When I found out about his backstory (rapist, etc), I was disgusted and lost all respect for him. I remember the storyline where Lucky found out, and I remember feeling exactly the way Lucky did about Luke, Laura, and the whole situation. During the 2000’s, Luke was portrayed less and less like a hero, and more and more like a con artist, thief, and drunk. His treatment of Tracy always bothered me…at least he didn’t rape her, but his stealing and emotional abuse. Was this a return to the original portrayal of Luke, or a sign of Guza’s & / or Tony’s weariness with the character? I’m not sure, but I remember feeling totally done with the character after he killed Jason’s son during a night of drunk driving. I don’t mean to criticize your affection for Luke & Tony, because when he was portrayed as being good, he was very likeable and seemed like a true hero at times. As my mom used to say, blame the writers when the good characters go bad…

And, of course, I blame the writers also. We all know the adage is true: Without a story there is no drama. However, in a new interview with TV Insider TG confirms what I believe: TG is pulling the strings. He confirms that the so-called Fluke character was originally supposed to be Bill Eckert. “That was the case when I told the story to Ron and Frank over the phone.” He also says that comment sites are “closed monitored” and that, when “fans found out, they changed it’ and “they didn’t know quite how it was going to work out.”
He also calls Luke “a serial murderer” and a “marauding dark angel.”
I always knew that the rape of Laura by Luke was always a sticking point with TG. He says about that, in talking about the “real” in Mon.’s episode: “It certainly helps clarify Luke’s drunken rape of Laura.” In other remarks in the interview, he says. “I’ve always said about this daytime drama business: “I love the opera but hate the soap. And this most certainly is opera.” I say, sadly, that it is just the opposite–more soap than opera in its sheer sensationalism and over-the-top acting. And I say again, sadly and often, the actor is so close to the story that he can lose perspective and fail to see the forest for the trees when TG says that he can think of no questions that the episode failed to answer. We fans on the boards have already listed a myriad of holes in the episode as played. In conclusion, I think TG has always sold his audience–and his devoted, longtime fans short. We did invest in one character 50 years ago–and we find him unrecognizable now. It is sad and emotional, like losing a dear and cherished friend. When we watch Lucy, or Ben Cartwright, or Matt Dillon or an opera, in fact, we know a legacy character, all sides and shades. To do violence to that character would stun and disappoint us. It’s the same in daytime drama–why should it not be, I ask Mr. Geary?

Very well said Nancy, I totally agree and I hope things get tied up in a better way.

Nancy Lee Grahn’s Star-Studded ALS Fundraiser Reveals “I’ll Be There” Video Featuring Soap Opera Notables

Talk about your impressive line-up! It’s a soap fans dream and for a great cause. General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) is prepping her one-night only ALS fundraiser which will feature many of her friends and co-stars.

The benefit is set for May 4th in Glendale, California. Slated to participate are Genie Francis, Jane Elliot, Peter Bergman, Maurice Benard, Eileen Davidson, Thorsten Kaye, Michelle Stafford, Stephen Nichols, Rena Sofer, Jason Thompson, Kelly Monaco, Melissa Claire Egan, Maura West, Kristina Wagner, Gregory Harrison, Trevor St. John, Kate Mansi, Kirsten Storms, Cynthia Watros, and many others.

On Wednesday, Grahn took to her social media and released an “I’ll be there” video shout-out featuring, Monaco, Elliot, Bergman, Bernard, West, Harrison, St. John and more. In a touching and important moment in the new video, Michelle Strogny, who is battling ALS, is featured.

Photo: ABC

Previously, in speaking with Soap Opera Digest on the impetus of the event, Grahn recalled, “I was actually doing Zoom events during Covid and I met this woman that I just fell in love with, Michelle Strojny. At the time, Michelle had been living with ALS for four years. Now, it’s five years. She is a mom of a teenage son, she has the most wonderful husband, and she has been dealing with this [disease] for quite a while. And obviously, there isn’t a cure yet. It’s not survivable yet. But as she says, it’s not incurable. Nothing is; it’s underfunded. But anyway, I just really dug this woman. She is so grounded and filled with grace, and she spends all of her time working to raise money for the cause. We did a fundraiser for her last year and then I thought, ‘You know what? The soaps don’t ever get together to do something for charity.’ Collectively, we have this amazing community and we don’t collectively use it for a good cause, and I think it’s such an easy thing for us to do and we could potentially really make a difference.”

As GH viewers know, Gregory Harrison is playing the character of Gregory Chase, who is also battling ALS in a touching storyline that is currently playing out shedding a light on this disease.

For information on Nancy’s event, including the stars who are s scheduled to participate click here. To purchase tickets to the event click here.

Check out the video featuring Nancy’s friends and co-stars below.  Now let us know, your thought son the line-up for the benefit and helping raise awareness and funds for ALS research via the comment section.

‘General Hospital’ Writer Shannon Peace Let Go, and Shares on Sprina: “One of My Only Regrets is to Not Have the Opportunity to Develop That ‘Ship’ Further”

As General Hospital’s new head writing team of Elizabeth Korte and Patrick Mulcahy gets off the ground and running, there are still changes a foot on the writing team.

Now comes word via breakdown writer Shannon Peace that she is no longer on contract with the long-running ABC soap heading into its 61st season. Peace shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram, thanking the fans, and the show for the opportunity and the importance of diversity in the writers room.

Peace began, “After almost 3 years on staff and 106 episodes penned, I am no longer on contract with General Hospital. Writing for this country’s longest running television serial drama has been an education of epic proportions; I will forever be grateful that I earned my WGA card on a daytime fixture that holds memories for so many.” (Peace pictured below with GH EP Frank Valentini and script writer, Charlotte Gibson from about ten months ago).

Shannon added “Even more importantly, as the sole Black breakdown writer (and only POC in the writers room) during my tenure, I pushed for vital interactions and discussions that prioritized inclusion, visibility, and representation”

The writer pointed to the example of vital interaction when in story, “Stella and Portia’s frank July 2022 conversation about the role race played in Esme’s framing of Trina is just one example of the impact I’m gratified to have had.”

Acknowledging former GH co-head writers was also part of Peace’s farewell expressing, “Appreciation to my former bosses, Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor – not only taking a chance on me, but for valuing my opinion and championing my voice.”

Many GH fans know that Peace was key to the development of the love story between Trina Robinson and Spencer Cassadine as played by Tabyana Ali and Nicholas Chavez. Shannon gave a special shout-out to ‘Sprina’ fans, “I also want to thank fans who were supportive of my work, especially the recognition of my love for ‘Sprina’. One of my only regrets is not having to develop that ‘ship’ further.”

She concludes her statement with,”In the aftermath of a historic writer’s strike that shed new light on the troubling ways writers are regarded in daytime, my sincere hope is that General Hospital recommits to valuing staff writer efforts and input, with a more intentional focus on diverse viewpoints — and thrives for another 60 years.”

Accompanying her post, Shannon added, “Thank you all for the love and support these last few years. I hope GH fans get all they hope for and more!”

So, what do you think about GH not renewing Shannon’s contract? Will there be more continued changes afoot? What do you think is the future of ‘Sprina’ anyway at this point as viewers wait to see if Nicholas Chavez officially returns to the show?  Comment below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Learns Britt Died and Tells Anna He Has Been Working For Cates Since November 2021

On the Tuesday, March 26th of General Hospital, Anna (Finola Hughes) and the viewers learn about where Jason (Steve Burton) has been for over two and half years. However, Jason gets some news of his own.

Anna is visiting Jason at the PCPD interrogation room. She asks him if he shot Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), which he flatly denies. Anna believes him, but she tells Jason it doesn’t matter, because video footage shows him on the roof at the time of the shooting

When talk turns to Jason not willing to speak without his lawyer present, Anna can’t grasp why Jason would instead spend an hour alone talking with John Cates (Adam J. Harrington).

Photo: ABC

It is then that Anna brings up that John went by “Jagger” and that the two of them knew each other in high school. Jason doesn’t recall much of his time in high school following his brain injury, but then he gets furious realizing John knew about “Jason’s” past. That is when Jason slams the table and tells Anna, “I’ve been working for John Cates since November 2021.”

Next, Jason explains further that he has been working as an informant for the FBI. Anna wants to know how this came about and he tells her that after the tunnel collapsed, and he couldn’t make it to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud)… all of a sudden he sees Anna’s face drop.  Anna is the first person to tell him that Britt died and was murdered. She tells Jason the killer is in custody, but he continues to be shocked, overwhelmed with tears welling up in his eyes. Realizing he has to pivot to save his life, Jason continues telling Anna how he wound up working with John.

Jason explains that after the tunnel collapse in Greece, FBI agents grabbed him and placed him under arrest and took him to Quantico where he met John. At Quantico, John played a recording of RICO violations and offered Jason a deal if he agreed to be an informant against Pikeman, the illegal arms dealer.

Anna hears from Jason that he thinks Pikeman is selling illegal arms to anyone flagged by the NSA but has ties to the WSB which they needed a civilian to infiltrate their organization as a military soldier, a mercenary.

Jason tells Anna he was a part of the team brought into eliminate Sonny (Maurice Benard). Every time an attempt was made on Sonny’s life over the last two years, a different team was sent to do the job. Anna gets furious when she learns that John told Jason his job was to kill Sonny and she was with John at the warehouse that night. Jason ensured the sniper missed Sonny and left the rifle behind. However, they were supposed to meet an extraction team. Before he was shot, Dante saw it was Jason on the roof and when he turned around with his hands over his head, Dante was shot by the other guy. Jason says if Dante dies, he’ll be charged with capital murder and then will be useless to the FBI.

Photo: ABC

Meanwhile, John visits Bobbie’s and runs into Carly (Laura Wright). She learns Jason is in custody and is going to head to the PCPD. Before she does, Carly has some words with Cates when she learns not only does John have a vendetta against Sonny, but Jason too.  Carly tells John he should recuse himself from the case.

So, what did you think about the moment when Jason learned Britt died? What do you think of Jason’s return storyline thus far and what we learned about Jagger/Jason and more? Comment below. But first, check out a moment from today’s GH with Jason and Anna.
