Michael Fairman

Michael has been one of the leading journalists, experts and personalities in the field of daytime drama and television coverage for close to 40 years. He fell in love with the soaps when he was just 8-years old and later turned his knowledge and passion into a full-fledged career.

In 2009, he launched his own site Michael Fairman On-Air On-Soaps, which eventually morphed in to Michael Fairman TV in 2017. Today, Michael writes all the editorial features for the site including: soap opera and entertainment news, interviews, recaps, previews, plus special event coverage on daytime dramas and primetime TV including reality-competition series and pro wrestling as well.

Throughout his career, he has held several groundbreaking positions, including in 1997 as the creator, lead journalist and executive producer of the first online platform dedicated to daytime dramas, SoapCity.com for Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment. He has also been a contributing feature writer covering the soaps and entertainment for: TV Guide Online, In-Touch Weekly, CBS Watch, Advocate.com and several international publications.

In addition, Michael is the host on YouTube’s Michael Fairman Channel, featuring interviews and livestream conversations with prominent stars in television, soap operas, pro wrestling and more.

Throughout his daytime career, Michael has lent his expertise as a writer/producer on over 17 Daytime Emmy Awards, as well as hosted and produced podcasts including: Soap Nation Live! and NBC’s Inside Salem: Days of our Lives Podcast. He has also been the moderator at four General Hospital Conventions for Creation Entertainment.

With a very special connection to his dedicated fans, Michael has continued to be a great ambassador and advocate for the genre.
